Courtyard Playhouse Dubai

I recently attended a show at The Courtyard Playhouse in Dubai With Sparkle Foundation, and it was a truly memorable experience! The atmosphere was warm, intimate, and full of creative energy. The performers were incredibly talented - their improv skills and stage presence kept the audience engaged and laughing throughout. What I appreciated most was the genuine passion for theatre you can feel the moment you walk in. It’s clear that everyone involved puts their heart into the performance. 👏🏻👏🏻😂😂

One of the best improv theatres I’ve ever been to. Volunteers to performers to each n every person in the establishment is extremely warm n welcoming. Catch all their events through out the walk just RSVP for free n enjoy 2 hours of live entertainment 🙌🏾

Just finished the 6 week Don't Panic course at The Courtyard Playhouse, and what an experience it was! While The Playhouse has long been lauded as a beautiful venue with great improv classes for adults and kids alike, I'd like to make a special mention here. About our teacher Ahmed Achrafi. Ash, as he is better known, has always been one of the most popular performers at the Monday and Wednesday night shows. So here's to hm: Ash. I've seen you on stage many, many times, but interacting with you in this role was a revelation. Your passion and love for the art is endearing. When you talk about performing, it's quiet and respectful, and so full of emotion, that the listener can't help but want to do it! As I did. You paid attention to every single person, and through the course, helped them hone their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. You pushed without being pushy, and you made sure no one got lost in the background, no matter how shy or awkward they felt. This is what a good teacher does. On a personal level, you helped me begin to ease control over the narrative (on stage and in my life), something I always struggle with. Thank you for everything, and I do hope to be able to learn more from you in the future. A big thank you also to the Courtyard team - Hadeel, Jana, Marie, and more - who made sure we made the most of our time there. See you all very soon for more. To be continued... 😉😉

“Power pointless”, last evening was exactly the type of evening you would want to unwind mid/end week. From great organization to beautiful venue and amazing performances wrapped in the warmth of hosts!!! Easy parking and smooth logistics. Loved the vibe and new connections. kudos to the team who are investing on growth of individuals. Looking forward to join more of such evenings and inspired to start my own journey to be on the other side of the stage.

I've been attending improv shows at the Courtyard Playhouse for many years now and have always enjoyed it! I finally decided to try the improv classes for adults earlier this year and can honestly say it is changing the way my mind works. I specifically want to improve my public speaking skills, become more confident, to not hold myself back due to overthinking, to reconnect with my creative and playful sides and to develop a healthier mindset towards failure - the monthly mashup improv classes have definitely helped with all of these! And I am looking forward to starting the Don't Panic workshop to continue on this journey of self development! Everyone on their team is also incredibly friendly and helpful! All the instructors that I have worked with through the monthly mashup classes - Ash, Kyle, Salman - have been fantastic: supportive, inclusive, and making sure that everyone participates and feels seen and of course, has fun! It is an absolute joy to attend shows here as well as learn more about improv at this beautiful theatre ♥️

My girls went to their midterm camp and both loved it! Amazing teachers and both left feeling more confident and happy. Truly amazing team and we will for sure be back for the next one!

Authentic, fun and truly magical. This was the most enjoyable thing I’ve done in a long time. The vibe, energy, laughter and amazing people (actors, staff and audience) all meld into a very unique experience. Thank you Courtyard crew. I shall definitely be back.
