Rooms were comfortable. Location was central to downtown area, old San Juan and beaches. Affordable , local eats and supermarket nearby. Customer service was top notch. When I needed a quiet work environment for a virtual meeting, it was provided immediately. ||Tip: Be sure to apply the $17 resort fee to a snack run to the market in the lobby.

I noticed on Monday morning that my heart rate monitor was missing from the hook I left it on in the bathroom to dry. I immediately reported this to the front desk. Multiple times throughout the day the front desk and manager promised they would call me on my cell phone with an update but they never did so I kept having to go to the front desk to check in with them. They were unable to find the heart rate monitor and said that the housekeeper “accidentally” took it when she was cleaning the room. How does that happen accidentally? And why weren’t they able to find it? It was on its own hook in the bathroom so there is no way it could have been an accident. I was unable to speak to the general manager because he was not in the office so I emailed him and all he did was reply with a generic email with no apology at all and I still am out over $120 and never got my heart rate monitor back. When I spoke to the front desk manager, Antonio, he said it there was nothing they could do for me and that it was my fault because I left it in my room and that items are not safe in your room in the middle of your stay. The general manager, Francisco offered to take $120 off the bill, but I didn’t pay for the room so that does not help me at all. He did not offer any other solution, or even apologize that his employee stole from my room. I just want my heart rate monitor back or it replaced.

I really liked the central location of this hotel. It isn’t anything fancy and the rooms were outdated. If you plan on spending your days exploring the island and your nights on the town, it’s a good option. They offer valet for a daily rate of around $20/day. The valet employees Roy and Emmanual were super nice, friendly, and opened the car doors each time we arrived and departed. They made us feel welcomed especially after long days/nights and coming and going in the rain. Room service was very attentive to our needs. The restaurant in the lobby was a hidden gem with lovely ambiance, delicious drinks and food. We received a room credit of $17/day which was to be used at their convenience store in the lobby. Overall, it was a good experience, but I would probably not stay here again as I prefer a more luxurious experience.

Ordered a hamburger with white rice and red beans. It was so extremely salty, I left it in the room. Hotel itself was good. Wish I could have gotten a $30.00 refund for the food cause it was so salty I could have gotten sick, sick, sick if I ate it.

Google
Very nice and welcoming. The rooms are quiet and very clean. They have a small restaurant on site and the pool area OSS nice and quiet. I would definitively go back.

Google
Althought I do appreciate the employees able to book me a last minute room, the rooms can definitely be a lot better. It's pretty old, dated and needs some remodeling. Cleanliness was ok. I would book here for a last minute occasion like I had.

Google
The front desk, the valet, the managers and supervisors are great. The value for your money is horrible. The rooms need to be renovated the lobby is ok. The washers and dryers did not work well. Our room had water damage from the heavy rain. I was reimbursed for all the issues we had but Courtyard Marriott Miramar needs to do better. These issues are beyond the staff the staff all are great. The location is okay if you want to be around the locals and not in a touristy area it’s perfect. Shame on Courtyard Marriott they have the capital to fix up those rooms make them more modern and fix the infrastructure issues.

Google
The stay was really nice. The room was clean. Housekeeping was kind and kept our room clean and in order daily. It was a little crowded because of the festival but the staff was prepared. The restaurant, Comador, was slow, and the food was not good. So I could not give the hotel 5 stars. And also it is only one elevator. So when it is crowded it is a long wait or you have to use the stairs. But the beds were so comfortable, the staff was really friendly and the price was not expensive, which was the reason for the 4 stars. The pool area was not crowded, but we did not use it, so I am not sure if it was heated or not. But I would stay here again.

Yelp
Shower needs a total renovation, also the carpet needs to be replaced. The furniture is old and dated in the rooms. Is a pretty convenient location, also they will charge you a $17 destination fees. So, make sure to get some snacks and drinks worth the $17. 00 or you will lose it.

Yelp
This hotel worked out well. We had a flight delay after a cruise and needed to stay an extra night in San Juan. We originally booked two double beds but they were able to upgrade us to a king. We were hoping the room would be ready earlier, but unfortunately we had to wait to the official time of 4. There is a destination fee of $18/night, however you can spend this in the little market they have. They have a small assortment of sodas and snacks. They also have milk which I was really excited about for my coffee. Keep in mind you have to spend it that night, and can't spend it the morning you check out. You can always double check with the staff so you don't lose out on your $18. Hotel is very walkable to many things. Easy walk to the food truck park and Pueblo (grocery store). It's about a 20-min walk to Condado, which is the fancier part of town with lots of English (and a Starbucks). The hotel is on the older side, but was fine overall. There is only one elevator, so you might have to wait a little bit. We had a room on the 11th floor that as right near the ice and elevator, but I didn't get any noise, and I'm a light sleeper. There's also a laundry that we used that takes quarters if needed.

Yelp
This hotel turned out to be a very good option for a somewhat last minute one night stay in San Juan. As well as a nice alternative to Old San Juan. It was close to an English speaking area called Condado, which is near the bay and has a number of nice shops. It is actually located in the area of Miramar, which has some nice personality of its own as an arts district. The check in process was a bit hectic. They did allow us to leave our luggage while we explored the town. This was fortunate since the room was not available until 4. Be aware this hotel may be very busy. Don't plan on an early check in. The front desk staff were very patient with all of our questions. As a bonus, they all spoke very good English, especially for those of us like me who have limited Spanish skills (does Duolingo count?) They gave us a high floor room which had a nice view, albeit through a very small window. There's only one elevator so you might have to wait a bit. Although the furniture in the room was dated, the bed was really comfortable. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful. There is also a coin operated washer and dryer and they will break your money for change if needed. The only problem I had was that the dryer didn't work, but the hotel staff helped with a refund so I could try a different dryer unit.

Yelp
Nice hotel. Nothing fancy but it was clean. 2 restaurants-one was like a diner and the other was more upscale. There is a supermarket and drugstore within walking distance made it extra nice. I definitely will stay here again. Front desk was very nice.

Yelp
A good options for an affordable and comfortable stay in San Juan. I wanted to hit the touristy things and checkout the dining and drinks in Viejo San Juan and prefer to spend more time out of the hotel then inside, so it fit my needs of a clean room that was perfect for falling asleep before hitting the road again. The staff was friendly and attentive, we had no problems getting checked-in or leaving and we had no problems getting a cab from here to get around the city as well. The area seemed pretty safe too and filled with tourists.
google avatar

Will E.

Yelp
Courtyard Marriott was a nice stay. They have a restaurant downstairs, that I didn't try, and it's located not too far from Isla Verde (need a cab or car). The parking is valet ($20 a day) but there is parking on the street with maybe a one or two block walk. The area is safe to walk in and there's even a post office across the street. The rooms unfortunately are a little outdated. The furniture is old, the carpeting gaffes, and some of the doors do not close properly. With an update this hotel can shine again.
google avatar

Dang N.

Yelp
This a nice hotel. Pretty quiet neighborhood so easy to get to and easy to leave. There are enough local restaurants that are within walking distance also. Room is nice and the service I got at the desk and the valets are really nice.

Yelp
Overall - this is a secure, safe, and comfortable place to stay in San Juan. The staff is very friendly, and very willing to offer advice and information as needed. Drawbacks: One elevator for 12 floors? This was a major inconvenience leading me to sneak on the service elevator on more than one occasion (located next to ice machines which are not operational right now). I stayed in room #1112 and was constantly feeling the reverb from the elevator being used day and night. I encourage future guests to ask for a room away from the elevator. The food offered was very good - just wished the menu in the dining room corresponded with the menu on the QR code (why not just offer paper menus?) . The cinnamon french toast is so worth it. If you're in a hurry -- ask for your check when the meal is served, it seems to take a LOT of time to get it after that. When all is said and done - these are first world problems -- overall this is a nice, fun, comfortable to stay in San Juan, and the team works very hard to make it rewarding and satisfying. Protip: The coffee at Hazel Bar next door is seriously deliriously delicious. If you drink coffee -- check out Hazel bar!

Gary L.

Yelp
This hotel and all the staff are incredible. We had an issue with our departing flight and Gabriel and Antonio took excellent care of us and went above and beyond to help us any way they could. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We recently stayed here a couple days ago and it was very nice. Very clean and accommodating staff. It's conveniently located close to the airport and Viejo San Juan. We took an Uber to Viejo San Juan for $5 plus tip. Taxis are so much more. The hotel offers bottled water and internet tv. I was able to login to my Netflix account. The restaurant in the main lobby is also very good.

Yelp
They freak out if you go into a bar that's near to close and they rant on you making you think you're causing problems but it's the bartender who wants to get off work early. Just wanted to eat my popcorn in peace. Just saying.

Yelp
Okay so I wish I could rate a 3.5 because my experience wasn't so bad for just a 3 but not great for a 4. With that said Courtyard by Marriott is a solid 3.5. I'll start with the positives. First is the resort itself, there's everything you need within the premises. You really don't have to leave unless you want to. Beach was beautiful, pool was relaxing and awesome, the Casino; although small was fun, and the drinks and food were great. The room was clean, and beds were comfortable. I didn't like how the ac vents were in the balcony, that made relaxing and enjoying the view sometimes uncomfortable. They took good precautions against covid. Now, I would not return or recommend this resort. For a 4 start hotel, I expected some luxury. Don't get me wrong the facility had a luxurious feel but not so much the service. The staff was extremely overwhelmed with the 4th of July travelers and guests which made getting any service impossible, they ran out of food. Room service wasn't even offered some days. Another thing to note is the resort is open to the public. So there were two full days that I was not able to use the amenities. The pool was at capacity and so was the beach. Awful. But even worse than the service, because if I'm being real we're still in a pandemic. So I understand businesses are still adjusting which includes staffing, etc. However the location SUCKS!!! It's like across the street from the airport. I heard planes from early morning into the night. Omg! It was soo annoying.

Yelp
I came to San Juan Puerto Rico for work and this seemed like the hotel that was most reasonable for stay as it was close to our destination and it had access to some restaurants nearby. Mind you, it's not one of the hotels on the actual strip by the beach so you'll have to walk about a mile or 2 to get to those areas. That being said, this Courtyard location was great. The hotel was clean and well laid out and the front desk was friendly. Don't forget to give them your Marriott rewards number when you're there. Rooms are not the newest ones around but they have all the basic amenities functioning and you can modify the thermostat in the room. My room overlooked the driveway out onto the city skyline which was beautiful. They have free wifi in the room which was pretty sturdy and quick for basic things. They have a gym downstairs that is 24 hours and is room key access only. It's located in the basement so don't forget your key otherwise you'll have to go all the way back to your room! They have laundry machines downstairs as well that are coin operated. You can get change at the front desk. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets are sold downstairs by the machines themselves. They also have a pretty nice lap pool outside and even on days when it's raining, it's great to go for a swim (although the pool is only open certain times of the day). There is a restaurant on the ground floor which I never went to but tons of people hung out there for drinks or food. There's a gas station and a pharmacy right down the street and then there's a pretty fantastic restaurant further down. Although you don't need a car here as you can take Uber, it's a far cry easier to get your own rental and go where you need to go here in San Juan. Sure it's scary to drive because people don't always obey general rules here but if you plan to go to Old San Juan or anywhere else on the island you should get a rental. I did enjoy this Marriott and would recommend it to others. If you're able to pay more for a hotel, there may be others in more convenient locations with additional luxurious amenities but I found this place to have everything I needed!

Joshua M.

Yelp
Very underwhelmed. Decent location. Musty rooms. Smelled like standing water. Hotel did nothing to fix the smell after we reported twice. Do not recommend.

Yelp
Although the room is small, it's clean, it's modern,it's affordable (we used Orbitz) and best of all, the bed is COMFY!!! Not only that, they give you 6 pillows for a queen bed! I slept like a baby every night. :) The people at the front desk are friendly and knowledgable about the area, and they all speak english as well as spanish. They have the standard amenities, a pool (that isn't heated btw), a small gym, and a laundry facility. They have valet parking there, but there is street parking around the area; we parked on Trigo two streets down every day. We had originally planned to stay here 5 nights because we didn't know we had to stay at Vieques if you wanted to do the biolumniscent bays because the ferries won't bring you back at night, but fortunately, we were able to cancel one night at no penalty, which was very nice and very appreciated! I would recommend this place to friends and I would stay here again!

Yelp
This is a great moderate priced hotel with an excellent restaurant. Friendly staff. Rooms were satisfactory. Only issue: could hear jets overhead all evening but it didn't interfere with a good nights rest. Rooms were comfortable and well supplied. Hotel was quiet. Recommend.

Yelp
Cheap and no frills. After staying at the La Concha for the entire duration of my stay, this was a bit of a bummer for my last night, lol!! There is no beaches here - only a sad little pool with old people in it. The place mostly attracts convention goers and large groups of people. Front desk staff was decent and quick, so no complains there. The rooms are awfully old and very badly planned. The bathrooms are tiny even for a suite - I mean there is a ton of wasted space that could have been utilized way better. We had a view of the bay from our room and it was okay. The carpet was old and musty and the bed creaked horribly. The guy who came up get us towels was a little creepy - he seemed to be peeping into the peep hole from outside, seriously!! Street parking is hard, and self parking is not an option. Valet is $15 a night. Am I likely to be back - not unless ina pinch!

Yelp
A Marriott Rewards member and I have never been in a hotel where service was this bad. NON-FUNCTIONING AC EVERY NIGHT OF MY STAY!!!! In an island where the the weather is over 90 degrees. Every night someone had to come in and try to fix the AC. The option to change rooms, upgrades or even to try to apologize - never occurred. It was always making me feel like I had done something to cause the issue. REALLY??? I can't believe that I spend a week worth of points in this crappy hotel. Makes me even reconsider switching back to Hilton.

Yelp
I can't remember how many Marriot hotels I've ever visited all over the world. This may be the oldest branch I've been too but I've truly enjoyed staying here as everyone was very pleasant and welcoming. Quite surprising thatvthis hotel has the best restaurant in town. Also, you may find the most authentic and eclectic local restaurant within the area. This location is in the middle of the tourist area; its actually walking distance to Condado if you know the short cut way and 10 minutes drive going Old San Juan and Isla Verde. If you fancy outdoor exercise the Baldorioty De Castro Park is accrossed the highway a block away from the building. This hotel may quite old-fashioned but the amenities such as the swimming pool and the gym are satisfactory. Nothing too fancy but enough to serve their guests in total relaxation. The concierge is also available at the lobby if you needed help to do a certain activities. Leaflets for weather forecast, mass timings and retail therapy are also available. Brilliant. I've stay here for a week and I must say that the hospitality service was spectacular. I love the enthusiasm of each and every staff that gives me positive feeling in return. Their infectious smile was impeccable. I can tell that they're very passionate in everything the do as it shows in their work. If you need anything I suggest to inform them in advance and I assure you that the will do the best to the extent of there ability. I'm already planning the date of my return and can't be more excited.

Yelp
So on our latest trip, our flight back to Houston was cancelled. Which is actually a plus over our last trip to DC when our flight just kept getting delayed indefinitely. This time around I was able to at least rebook this particular hotel. Luckily, we were able to use a marriott certificate. This hotel, is MUCH cheaper than the other marriott options on the island. It is NOT connected to a beach, but is not far from the beaches. You pay about 1/3 less, so take that money and use it on tours and food! The hotel is actually much more updated than some of the other marriott options on the island too. Parking is $15 for valet. Stay here and just drive to the beaches you will save lots of money. You don't stay at the hotel very much anyways.

Yelp
If I could review only the staff it would be 5 stars. The hotel is clean and the lobby is nice. The rooms are small and outdated. Our AC didn't work very well, but we spent so little time in the room it didn't matter much. This hotel is conveniently located. You can walk to several dining establishments and the beach and it is a short ride to/from the airport and to the port. Again, the staff is wonderful and very helpful.

Betty S.

Yelp
We had a horrible experience at the hotel we originally booked for our trip to PR. However, it changed when we switched to the Courtyard Miramar. Nice place and great people. Our room was on the 5th floor. It was nice clean and comfortable. The valet parking was nice and friendly. There were 2 restaurants in the the building, we ate at only one of them, Comedor. The skirt steak is amazing. Probably one of the best steaks I have ever had. The only downside to this property is the elevator. There is only 1, which means it can be a long wait for it. Other than that it was great.

Yelp
We stayed here for a night. The staff was friendly and the room was a little bit small but clean and comfortable. We ate lunch at the Papillon restaurant located inside the hotel. The food was good and the service was excellent.

Geraldine P.

Yelp
Service inside the hotel are pretty good. The reason for the 3 stars is the valet parking and the rooms. They take about 20 min to bring your car back from valet parking, so if you're in a rush definitely call them ahead of time. Also the rooms are very outdated. All of the chairs in the room are stained. Everything is slow, but that's how everything is here. No one seems to be respectful of other people's time. Kind of the Puerto Rico way.
google avatar

Shaneel R.

Yelp
I really enjoyed our stay here before the cruise. The hotel itself is very and and well kept up. The staff was super friendly and nice. We arrived at 11 and were allowed to check in and I asked for a late check out which was granted. We had a beautiful dinner at there restaurant Papallion and it was wonderful. The server Ricky took great care of us. There are a lot of stores and restaurants all around the hotel. Taxi to hotel from the airport was 20 and 13 to the pier.

Yelp
Not as good as the other Marriott in condado but it's a place to rest your head at. The area is run down pool is small and only 5ft deep and the gym is small but the staff is great and very attentive
google avatar

Alison C.

Yelp
Quick head's up: Puerto Rico doesn't adhere to Daylight Savings Time, so during the winter months, they're an hour ahead. FRONT DESK: very helpful; we arrived earlier than check in, so they stowed our bags for us while we grabbed lunch at a local cafe. ROOM: smaller than normal, but clean with a great bathroom, and comfy bed. POOL: Perfect for us--clean, well-maintained, and quick trip from the room.
google avatar

Yelp
I stay over 200 nights a year at Marriott properties and this is an average Courtyard. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are dated and could really use a make-over. At first, I was impressed with the appearance of the Papillon Restaurant and the food presentation but the quality and service fell short. Posted by a Platinum Premier member.

Yelp
Nice and clean hotel right on the beach and it's about 10 minutes from the airport. There excellent when it comes to make sure everyone is wearing there mask, hands are sanitized and temperature is checked. There parking fee is outrageous for guess staying at the hotel it's $15 when order hotels on the blvd are free or $5 a night. Also because Covid there pools Restriction that they don't tell you during the check in.Which didn't make sense to me because when you check in at a hotel that's the first thing they should tell you and give your bands upfront and tell you what your pool time is.Me and my family didn't get to enjoy the pool at all during our stay because of this.We didn't know there where bands and set times to enjoy they pool nobody explained this to me.Plus me and my family had different room numbers so even if we wanted to we could go at the same time.We explained this to the hotel staff and he said there's nothing he can do.Also is you looking for Resturant with in the area it's about a 10 min walk not sure if you'll want to take that walk in 90 degree weather. This is a nice and clean hotel put I will definitely not stay here again, Staff communication is horrible and parking fee are Outrageous for guess staying in there hotel and let's not forget the daily resort fees!

Yelp
Hotel room is nice. It should be since it's so expensive. One VERY bad thing is there's bed bugs. I got new bed bug bites every night I was there. Their king sized bed is huge and can fit 3 people with no problem. They have small fridge and safety box, coffee, and bathroom amenities. They also have nice view. Only thing I would complain is the freaking bed bugs.

Edwin D.

Yelp
The staff at this hotel will get a 5 star rating from me. The hotel was clean. The room for a king bed was small compared to others I have stayed in. The facility has a nice small pool, a gym area and two very nice restaurants. One is a fine dinning establishment and the other is for a more casual dinning experience. The area of the hotel is exactly where you want to be if you wish to be near town shopping, Old San Juan, El Morro, Isla Verde beach and the Airport. They are all within a few miles. My only disappointment is you are not made aware that they charge you $16 per day to vale park your car. You are not given an option, unless you wish to try to find parking on the street on your own. All in all, not bad for the price.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! The picture speaks for itself ... Room invested with roaches ... Roaches inside the fridge , bathroom , night stand ( next to the bed!!) , NEVER AGAIN .. So disappointed and soooo unfortunate !!! Courtyard Marriott should close down! Disgusting. Do yourself a favor and save your money!!!

Yelp
Hurricane Sandy forced a bunch of Flight cancellations... a bunch of folks were stuck here. The Courtyard Marriott at Miramar is taking care of all of them. The staff here are amazing! The location is not ideal, but it's close enough. The fact is, the service quality makes more than up for the non ideal location. Having spent over 3 weeks here, the hotel can be summarized as 'More than Adequate'. The location is not perfect, but nice enough. If you have a rental car, it is more than adequate, but not ideal. The rooms are not 100% modern, there's no wireless in the rooms (just in the lobby), and they're not quite the largest rooms, but they're comfortable, and the junior "suite" comes with a sofabed and is more than adequate. If you need it you can ask for a microwave for the room. The restaurant remains untested, but the business center downstairs works for printing needs. The gym is actually not bad-- it's got all the basic equipment you would need for a simple but comprehensive workout and is more than adequate. Valet parking is, as of the time of this review, $15 a day and though it can be a little slow in the morning, service is quick, and just like the front desk, everyone is courteous and helpful. Speaking of the front desk, everyone I've worked with have been particularly helpful and patient. They are very knowledgeable about the area and can get you what you need, or get you where you need. The downsides, as noted, is where the hotel is. When you exit, and turn right, you're going towards the commercial area, and Condado and Isla Verde and Old San Juan are close by. However, when you turn left, you meet... some interesting characters. It's not perfect, but cops hang out near the hotel all the time, so you're pretty safe. It's more than adequate. What really makes this hotel really is the service, which is stellar. If you're on a budget, the Courtyard Marriott Miramar is More Than Adequate.

Yelp
I stayed here for 8 nights during a recent trip to San Juan and I couldn't have been happier with my choice for the price paid. Of course if you are willing to shell out more, you should book a room in Old San Juan and be closer to everything. This hotel is about 2 miles from OSJ and we were able to find a street parking spot within 500 yards of the hotel every time. I was pleasantly surprised by this as reading the other reviews gave me the impression that parking was very hard to find. The front desk was super friendly and courteous - they processed all our requests instantly. The room (Standard King) was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The housekeeping did an excellent job everyday. They had complementary water and coffee in the room. We were also able to get a microwave on request.

Yelp
Just an average room... Just needs to be updated. The staff was so nice about everything... they talk to you about places to eat, place to shop, and things to see and to go. Cheapest parking around that area $15 with in and out privileges... Swimming pool is small but awesome. There are 2 in house restaurants we did not try.

Yelp
This is a nice clean hotel in a decent location. Don't let the resort fee fool you. This is a standard Courtyard with no special amenities. As a platinum member I can't figure out what the fee provided me with

Yelp
This hotel is nothing fancy but I thought the location is perfect. It's 10 mins drive to old San Juan, a grocery store and great restaurants just a few blocks away that aren't packed with tourists. I much would much rather stay in an area among locals than the tourist areas. The employees are kind and helpful.

Yelp
For the first time in my life I tried the Priceline "name your own price" bidding method for a hotel. You can't see what hotel you'll end up with, only purchase for a price and area close to the city you select. I opted for a 3.5 star hotel at $70 a night and ended up bidding on the Marriott in Miramar. Our flight landed early around noon, and the hotel was nice enough to accomodate us and let us check in prior to 3pm. The hotel isn't as close to the beach as I would have liked but it only took us 20 mins of walking through the nearby neighborhoods to get to Condado Beach. I wouldn't walk in this area late at night but during the day I felt safe. A taxi from the hotel to the airport was $15 and to Old San Juan it was $12. The hotel itself was very clean and they offer free wired internet in the rooms, free wireless in the lobby. Beds were comfy and there was even a nice mini fridge in the room which was perfect for our Medalla Puerto Rican Beer we purchased down the street. I would probably opt for a hotel closer to the beach or Old San Juan next time but if you're not worried about where you stay and you're looking for an affordable clean option I would stay here again.

Yelp
I have stayed here before and the service has always been great. This time I am in town for a month helping my local office. I call this location the "YES" hotel. It does not matter what I need, or ask, to get my work done, they always say YES. As I sit for hours as the lobby, and hear the employees talk, they never complaint about their Company or anyone, and they are always smiling, always happy, no wonder they treat every customer as their only customer. From the ones at the front desk, to house keeping to the restaurant and bar, they just don't know how to say NO. Today, as we sit in the lobby working for hours, because our office was damaged by "Irma" one of the Front Desk employees Aneris, brought us coffee, does not get any sweeter than that. Aneris, Henry, Tamara, Steven (at the bar) all are outstanding!!

Yelp
Stayed only one night. The room was clean but a little tired looking. The bathroom needed some renovating. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The food in the Comodor restaurant was delicious! This location has made a nice recovery after the hurricane devastated Dan Juan.

Yelp
We originally booked for 2 nights, 1 before our cruise and 1 after, but when we rolled in at 1am after a hellish afternoon/evening of air travel, we were informed that there was no power on one of the floors, and they arranged for a taxi to take us over to another (much nicer) Marriott resort at no charge. Got back and everything was working fine so we stayed here. We got in early and had to wait an hour or two for a room to become available after everyone checked out, but we were able to store our bags and go out to the patio. Was informed that we wouldn't be able to check in before 3, so it was a very pleasant surprise that a room was ready at 12:30pm. The room was clean, quiet, and we were within walking distance of some fast food places and stores, so it was nice to not have to cab it everywhere. I would caution against going out at night if you're not familiar with the surroundings, on our way in our taxi driver was kind enough to point out a transvestite hooker around 1am, but to me, that's not alarming, that's an adventure! Wish they had more of a patio though, there were only 4 lounge chairs, but luckily it wasn't too busy.

Yelp
The room was clean and very nice. Expected from this kind of hotel. The area is safe and busy, there are many places within walking distance to eat and shop. I was even able to jog to Old San Juan from this location (20-30min?). The staff was very accommodating and spoke english (thank god). They even allowed me to do a late checkout (3pm) free of charge with no questions asked. I recommend this place The pool was small but very clean. Definitely a good private spot to enjoy the water.

Yelp
Wonderful little hotel. Close to cruise ships and nice area to walk with many restaurants just a blick away. Has a pool, 2 restaurants, gym, free coffee in the lobby and friendly staff.

Yelp
I've stayed here many times for business and the rooms are more and more tired every year. However I would select this hotel for the restaurant Papillon, which is exceptional. But this is my last time here. The desk chair was broken and they brought up a replacement. The lights at the nightstand don't come on. The drapes really show wear and carpet frayed at the threshold. In general everything should have been refreshed a few years ago and not at the level of the Courtyard brand I'm familiar with. The staff has always been very good and I love the artwork and sculpture in the lobby.

Yelp
This Marriott was comparable to other Marriott that I have stayed at in the continental United States. I chose to give them 4 stars instead of 5 stars because of the location of this hotel. I did walk several blocks to a local Walmart and I was advised that it may not be the best neighborhood to be walking through at night. Nothing happened, however it was dark and it felt a bit unsafe. I did find the staff to be welcoming and helpful, the rooms were clean, the bed was ok. If I were to return to San Juan, I would choose to stay in Old San Juan and I would pay a little bit extra because this hotel is just not in the best neighborhood for restaurants and sightseeing.

Yelp
Overall, spent very little time in the room, but felt like the accommodations weren't up the standards of other Courtyard's I've stayed in. Staff was great, but parking was a pain. Location: This is a pretty good location. Only about 8 minutes from downtown Old San Juan and right across the water from Condado. Also really conveniently close to the airport. Staff: The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating. Estefania at the tourism desk was great and she went above and beyond answering my questions and giving advice. Valet staff on the other hand were not as helpful or friendly. It often felt like an imposition when you asked to retrieve your car. Cleanliness: This was the biggest issue for us. Upon checking in it felt that the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned first. There were nail clippings on the floor (gross) and an unappealing stain on one of the pillows (looked like dried blood). Other: Parking is definitely an issue. I booked here after reading other reviews that there was plenty of street parking available. Unfortunately, thats not entirely the case. There is not a lot of legal parking available on the street and it fills up quickly. A lot of people parked on yellow curbs, bus spaces, and in front of hydrants, but if you're not interested in parking illegally then you either have to walk a while to the hotel or pay $15 for valet.

Yelp
Rooms are fair but in PR, my expectations are lowered anyway. If this were a Courtyard on the states I would give it 2 stars. Weird layout/design of rooms especially bathrooms which essentially make you lean forward when you are seated to do your business. Walls are thin... Could hear virtually everything in my neighbors room. The staff is extremely nice and friendly and in general, it did the job. Some really good restaurants nearby (Lima is awesome).

Yelp
Solid three star hotel with 3.5 star service. The staff is very nice and professional and efficient. Room is clean, pleasant and even the in-house restaurant is decent. Located in a relatively quiet part of town, which is kinda nice but if you want to be close to the action, stay in another area. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance.

Yelp
I feel like this might have been my first case of discrimination at a Marriott hotel, so be careful if you're white and from the states, they won't really want to help you. They will most likely lie to you like the curly haired front desk receptionist did to us, saying there was no way we could check in early due to the fact that house keeping doesn't arrive until noon, that's a lie, they start at 9am. Because of their lack of desire to put any effort into accommodating us (I promise we weren't asking for much, just a bed which we had reserved, so we could rest for the day since our plane got us in much earlier than expected) we would of had to wait 5 hours in the lobby for a room if we hadn't called Marriott customer service to help us out. It was an absolute terrible experience and a disappointing welcome for our first time in PR. We will never stay at this location again.
