Such an amazing example of 5 Star customer service.||||I am an Ambassador Elite member, this means that between business trip and vacations I spend about 160 nights every year at a Bonvoy Marriott property for the past 8 plus years.||||I was at this property for 9 days and it stands out as one of the best as far as interactions with ALL employees that we interacted with.||||I am absolutely blown away by the very high level of customer service displayed by VERY SINGLE associate I interacted with.||||Kudos to the team and obviously to the management team of this property.||||From the parking attendant, to the front desk team of Sandy, Dary y Ileana. They are some of the best front desk staff I have ever interacted with.||||Little details, great recommendations for local spots, huge smile 24/7 and something that I have not seen from stateside front desk in years, when they give me my room keys or document, they step out of there are and provide the key cards or document with the double hand presentation face to face out if their station.||||The Kitchen & Bar was just as amazing, great food. Rolando, Jose and all others were simply 5 Star service.||||Housekeeping staff…5 Stars as well!!||||I can go on and on, all in all, if you want an amazing stay, this is were you want to stay.

This hotel is pretty bad in my view. The shower does not have two doors and the bathrooms get flooded every time you take a shower. I asked the receptionist if they had any rooms with double doors in the shower and she replied negatively. I also asked for someone to come to my room to fix the bathroom door which closes on your body every time you are shaving or brushing your teeth. When the staff came to try to fix, they couldn't and I asked why there was only one door in the shower and I was told that other rooms had double doors even though the receptionist told me the opposite. The air conditioning is always on. There's no button for "OFF" In order to turn off the A/C I had to get on my fours and unplug it. I am 74 years old and that was no easy task for me. The breakfast was OK but it left a terrible smell in the reception area. Only one of the two elevators was working in a rather new hotel. The taxi driver that I requested in the hotel to take me to the airport charged me twice. I don't know whether there was a mistake or he did it on purpose, but beware. The only good thing about this hotel located on Maximo Gomez is that you have to the right of the hotel supermarket and many fast food and other restaurants around. Would I go back to this hotel? No, never.

As a Marriott member I normally stay at the Renaissance or JW Marriott, but my boyfriend and I wanted to try the Courtyard. We were so impressed at the service of the front staff, cleanliness of the room, the amazing water pressure from the shower 🤣 (spent a few days in a small town prior so that shower pressure was amazing) , the hotel itself was beautiful. We will definitely be staying here again

Deceitful, I did not receive my mobile key and had to stop by front desk. I had a confirm price when I checked in Front Desk Agent Paola told me they require $100 deposit and my reserve king size bed not available and that they only had 2 double beds room available. My bank text me the hotel charge which was $400 more then booked price, I checked my app and the prices were change $69 more per day, $400÷ for the week, because the room phone did not work I went downstairs and spoke with Paola again who stated it was a mistake and would be corrected but I couldn't get the $400 overcharge back because it could take weeks and I would have make a new payment which would tied up my credit, so I checked out the following morning. The TV had bad signal.

Extremely disappointing experience at Courtyard Marriott Santo Domingo I booked a 14-night stay online, but the rate I was charged at the hotel was different than what was shown during booking (see attached photos). On my first night, the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor. I had to use towels to prevent it from flooding. When I requested a room change, the alternative they showed me was not equivalent to what I paid for. To make matters worse, the receptionist was incredibly dismissive and told me that if I didn’t like the room, I could take my business elsewhere. I was shocked — is this really how Marriott staff treat paying guests? I asked to speak with the manager, but he refused to address the issue directly and handed the phone back to the receptionist. It was unprofessional and completely unacceptable. After that incident, the entire atmosphere changed. The staff made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. When I called the front desk from my room, they ignored my call and let the phone ring for over five minutes. Maria, one of the managers, promised to follow up on an issue but never got back to me. The restaurant food was overpriced and below average, and room service was even worse. While housekeeping staff were kind, they never changed the bedding — even after a full week. I have since moved to the Embassy Suites by Hilton, and the difference in service is night and day. The staff at Courtyard Marriott Santo Domingo seriously need customer service training. I would never stay at this hotel again and do not recommend it to anyone.
