Checked us in at 1230pm, into interconnecting rooms as we are a family of 5. Reception was friendly and polite and spoke excellent English. Charged only for 2 adult breakfasts and provided complimentary breakfasts for the children. The room attendant was very friendly and provided toothbrushes, extra bottles of water, towels and slippers. Furniture is a bit older but rooms were clean, warm. Short walk to plenty of restaurants, shopping and 3 metro lines nearby.

Normally, I do not stay in this part of shanghai.
Nevertheless, it was a good stay. The rooms on the 21st floor are newly renovated. The suite is nice and comfortable.
Marriot Elite members get good recognition. The club lounge is also nice and modern.
Will definitely consider staying here in the future.

My first trip to Shanghai since 2015. It was only a one night stay before my flight. Checking in was a breeze. The room was good overall. Didn’t have the chance to use all the amenities. Breakfast was great.

Courtyard Xujiahui is conveniently located at the Tibet Plaza next to Shanghai Xujiahui. It is next to subway line 1, 9, and 11. To reach the hotel from the subway, you will need to use exit 20 at the subway, and find a relatively unobvious crossway (protected by traffic light) to cross a busy road to reach the hotel. The location of the hotel is convenient, and you can right subway 11 straight to Shanghai Disneyland. |As Bonvoy Platinum elite members, we have access to the executbive lounge at the Courtyard (many Chinese Courtyard hotel includes an executive lounge). Though the main service of the lounge is to provide a light dinner around 5:30pm-7:30pm, and fruit and dessert 7:30pm-9:30pm. At the other times, you can access the lounge for coffee and drinks. |The breakfast is also included for Platinum elite member, and consists of a great breakfast buffet with spacious seating and highlights such as Xiao Long Bao (this is only available during selected days, and you may want to grab them quickly as it is very popular), fresh squeezed watermelon juice, Wonton and noodles (unlike many other hotels in which you order the Wonton and noodle a la carte, here the Wonton and noodles are cooked continuously and presented to the guests, they are able to serve a large number of guests this way, and the big bowel for noodle is fun to use), and special milk tea from Tibet.|Overall, we find the courtyard to be a good hotel, especially considering its convenient location.

I stayed at the Courtyard Shanghai Xujiahui for over 9 nights over a 2 week period. The air conditioner did not work in my rooms on the 13th floor and the 12th floor and it was too hot to sleep properly. When I contacted the front desk about this problem, I was told that there was nothing that could be done since those floors were old and in need of a renovation. I was not offered a room on another floor despite my Gold status with air conditioning since the hotel insisted that would require a room upgrade at an extra fee. During the second week, I was offered a room fan; however, the room fan was not sufficient as well. I would have changed hotels if it was not for the inconvenience of changing to another location. The staff was very nice; however, they could not adequately solve my air conditioning problems. The Momo Cafe is ok, but the food is very boring and not fresh. Bread that is left over is repackaged and reused the next day. In one horrible incident on this trip, I asked for a takeaway breakfast since we had an early flight. They packed an apple, yogurt without a spoon or straw, and 3 Danishes. After eating one Danish pastry in the car to the airport, I grabbed a second Danish only to find that there was a bite already taken in the second Danish by someone else. The Momo cafe had packed pre-eaten food in the takeaway bag. This was VERY disgusting! I would not recommend staying at the Courtyard Shanghai Xujiahui.

Great location, staff are welcoming and very helpful.||Breakfast buffet had a good selection.||There is a cafe and restaurant on the ground level and also room service! ||Room and bathroom area was huge.||About 45 minutes from the airport by transfer and within easy walking distance to shops and parks etc…

the staff on the 23rd floor do a incredible job, especially Athena Xu. always very positive and professional. Also, very helpful with issues whether room or where to go in Shanghai. Gold Star employee.|the hotel is the right size for business, not overwhelming like many hotels in Shanghai. people focused on work and that's great for me. Hoping the additional renovations are completed for the floors, since I think this hotel has a great location, and has many pluses to it. Floors 20 to 23 are completed very very nice.

Easy check in, polite front desk, requested room service arrived quickly and was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, Breakfast was great too. The bed and bedding was AHHmazing. Honestly, thought about staying another night just for how comfortable the whole stay was. Great location, easy to get to the airport, lots of food spots. Didn’t have time to to sight see, but that wasn’t the reason for my visit to Shanghai. I will look to book this same room and location again. The only thing I’d say could be improved was the TV channels. But that is so minor. Definitely would recommend.
