Cousins Motor Inn

A great stopover for a few days. Greg is the perfect host. Friendly and welcoming. We walked the whole CBD from this Motel. The rooms are more than reasonable, clean and quiet, while the parking was safe for our motor bike. A walk to the Riverside Cafe will not disappoint and a meal at the Tatt’s will impress any steak lover. 10/10 to Greg at Cousins. This is now our place to stay in Inverell. Thanks Greg. Right from the first interaction with staff our stay was welcoming and enjoyable. While clearly an older establishment, the room was well maintained and it's decor boutique-like and fresh. Milk was provided as usual, along with water bottles and Tim Tams - a nice touch. Advice regarding best places to dine was readily available and accurate, with our choice of the local Sporties bowling club bistro being within walking distance and with enjoyable and generous servings. Clearly a popular motel choice as the carpark quickly filled, however external noise from other occupants was not evident. Would we stay again? Definitely!

Stayed at cousins motor in for the weekend with my family of 4. We needed a room for 2 adults and 2 children but all they could give us was a queen bed and a single bed to fit 3 ppl. They didnt have anything else available to give us So we had to make our own diy bed on the floor with pillows and blankets which definitely wasn't ideal for the amount of money you pay... but we managed There was a small table with 3 chairs, a couple of cupboards and benches along with separate bathroom and a mini fridge/ cupboard with kettle, toaster, cups, plates etc Small amount of complementary coffee, tea and sugar. The mini fridge was completely empty, so we had to buy some things. The room was overall very tidy, clean and beds were nicely made which gave the room a nice feeling as you entered. The bathroom was spotless very clean and fresh but they only provided two small hotel sized tubes of shampoo and conditioner along with only one very small bar of soap to wash a family of 4. The hot water was very touchy in the shower went from freezing cold to scorching hot in a matter of seconds. Shower floor was extremely slippery along with the bathroom floor, my husband nearly fell head over heels coming out of the shower, so be cautious... There only provided 3 bath towels for us so we had to use a beach towel we packed for our other son. Surprisingly the beds were comfortable and we had a decent night's sleep. We were close to the shops, a playground and everything inverell had to offer

Great Motel. Clean, quiet and friendly owner who was very helpful. Stayed here for 1 night as we passed through the town. Close to every thing you need in town also.

Great friendly service. Great location and I think it's the best shower in a motel that I've ever had. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice country motel. Clean, comfortable, quiet, good value & everything you need for a one nighter! Lovey you chap at reception and fresh milk available for your morning coffee, nice one as I hate that long-life stuff. Would highly recommend.

Communication was excellent both pre-arrival & during one overnight stay. Instantly felt pampered with supply of water & Tim tams in fridge & decent size milk available at Reception for coffee. Excellent location close to main street & walking distance to many historic buildings. Greg assisted us greatly with offering an earlier check in when I described our situation. A quiet location despite being on main road. Hot water in shower was difficult to regulate. Selection of pillows with varying pillow heights would have been good for a better sleep. Overall 4 out of 5. Definitely a homely place to stay. Would definitely return.

In Inverell for a family event we stayed at Cousins for two nights. Check in was simple and friendly, the motel had reserved an EV charging car park for us in front of our room and our room was spacious and well maintained. Bathroom was a little tight but great shower and good towels. The motel owner still learning about EV charging and it required a little patience to get charging started both nights we were there, but once started it easily charged the car to 100%. The only negative about our room was that there are no power points beside the bed and with two sleep machines we were glad we had brought an extension lead which we could safely plug in to the bathroom power point.
