Really cool shop. Brandt was very generous with his time and indulged every question I had. The selection is very well curated and covers a wide range of price points. Lots of hard-to-find knives, doubly so for a brick-and-mortar store.
Pocket knives from Opinels and Kanekoma higo no kamis, to Ohta (which I was particularly happy about, since they're even relatively rare online), to some crazy Mcustas. Kitchen knives from affordable and respectable Tojiros all the way up to Carter. Gorgeous selection of Takedas, including a cleaver that I may need to start saving up for.
The best part was that I didn't feel pressured to buy, or that I was wasting his time. No upsell and plenty of friendly advice. Way better experience than buying online sight-unseen, or, God forbid, at like Sur la Table or something.
