Nate is super-friendly and wow! From the apple fritters to the savory mushroom hand pie, everything was so flavorful!! The crust in the hand pie was so flaky, crispy - one of the best I have ever had (especially with the sweet chili sauce!). Go and go often!! Coffee and view is great, too!! Didn’t want to leave!

Google
Such a wonderful experience!!! Most things are organic, I had a locally made onion bagel with pesto, hummus, avocado, tomato and egg and it was the best thing ever!!! All organic fruit smoothies and coffee. Staff was great, so pleasant and what a treat to be on the water to have a lovely breakfast. Best breakfast sandwich I've had!!

Google
Cove Coffee is the best place to stop for breakfast on all of highway 1. Hot showers for campers, great bagels, amazing coffee, and if your ventures... a nice cold plunge off of the pier!! A must go! Go see Nate!

Google
Awesome staff… incredible sandwiches. Excellent morning view and the coffee is amazing !! Had fun chatting with the locals here. Highly recommend.

Stopped in here for lunch and coffee this past Saturday while camping in Manchester. This place is super fun and quirky, combining a cafe environment with a bait/tackle and gift shop. For lunch I got the "Big Wave" which is a toasted bagel with mayo, hand sliced turkey, avocado and melted cheese served open faced. It super delicious, and perfect for an overcast/foggy day. For coffee I got a cappuccino, which expertly hand crafted, and made even better by the fact that they use locally roasted coffee from The Little Green Bean right there in Point Arena. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out here, and seeing the locals come in about there day. The people working there were super friendly, and courteous! I will definitely come back here on my next trip up the coast!

Google
Great little coffee place just north of Gualala. Came here for the Wifi originally, but it has a very cozy vibe and doubles as a small gift shop - picked up a shirt and beanie before we left!

Google
Please don't let this place pass by. The handmade savory hand pie, my fav filled with wild locally sourced mushroom - is a filling meal. Makes me smack my lips with joy and dream of returning - soon! Fabulous old building, terrific art, kind and friendly staff and you have a recipe for wonderful! The views of the ocean are spectacular. Eat inside or out - plus they have everything one could need from food to clothes, bait, lures, wax for surf boards and gifts. Very kid friendly, safe and a fun vibe all around.

Yelp

Friendly place, loads of ocean pictures, & art, fun to hear about the tides, fishing, hanging out from the locals. Big parking lot, pier, ocean entrance, surfers, fishers. Relax here, take a deep breath.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop on the wharf in Point Arena. Service: 5/5 our barista was patient while our whole family ordered and let us know it would take a while as he was the only one there. Ambiance: 4/5 while the inside is both a cafe and a shop it is cozy. When it's sunny outside, the pier is beautiful! You can sit on some picnic benches near the ocean and it's stunning. Food: 4/5 cinnamon buns were delicious. Muffins were better than average but not bakery level to me. Coffee: 4/5 coffee was tasty! definitely not the best, but for a small town very good. And definitely way better than gas station coffee.

Yelp
While staying in Point Arena for two days, we visited Cove Coffee once each day. The staff was very friendly each time we were in and you could tell they had a friendly group of locals who came there often. The coffee was great, I had a white mocha which was delicious and was perfect for the chilly day outside. I also had the avocado toast, which was not typical but still delicious. Looking at it you would think the bread was going to be hard and chewy, but far from it. Bread was soft and flavorful and there was just the right amount of avocado. They have a small selection of baked goods and a few other breakfast/sandwich items. Inside there is a nice seating area and it's also a gift shop so don't forget to look around for souvenirs!

Yelp

Yelp
Food was amazing, made from scratch, flavorful and the service from Nate was friendly, welcoming, patient. Would visit often but we were passing through! Go enjoy for yourself! (And walk around the cove!)

Yelp
Love Cove Coffee. It's hard to describe the vibe other than "mellow" and "awesome", but it starts with Nate the owner who is both a surfer and a serious fisherman. So he brings both the hippie and blue collar communities together (which is hard to do). It's also a very artsy (small shop), with regular customers who are great to listen to and talk with. I call the shop "Nate's therapy zone", he's really fun to talk to as well (when he's not working). Oh yeah. The food and coffee is really good, too (I recommend the "420 bagel").
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food, nice local gifts, and very friendly owner! I'll be back on our next visit.
google avatar

Yelp
If you stay at Wharf Master Inn, you simply must visit Cove Coffee since it's right there at the parking lot. Delicious coffee and baked goods, really nice staff.

Jacen J.

Yelp
Delicious coffee and bagels, the owner Nate was super friendly. Will definitely come back again next time I'm in the area.

Pam C.

Yelp
Great food. Great service and wonderful supporters to our community. Love the avocado focaccia toast with pickled red onion and hand pies with locally foraged mushrooms. Doesn't get fresher than that.

Yelp
Got coffee here. It was very good and strong. The barista who works here on Sundays is very cool and friendly. Nice sitting area and a gift shop and tackle shop to boot.
google avatar

Bobby D.

Yelp
Love this place. What a nice spot to pull off the highway and enjoy your coffee by the sea. Thanks for the coffee and friendly chat

sharon k.

Yelp
Nate takes care and puts love in into everything he makes. Everything was ON point. We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Coffee here is amazing. It taste like coffee should! Service was equally good. The owners who have been here over 15 years know their stuff. Very friendly and welcoming to any of the local artists, whose products are on display to advertise and sell. This is the perfect little coffee house to visit. And don't forget the to die for views of the ocean!

Yelp
My family and I were in town for a wedding and this place became our little go-to! Wow the smoothies and hand pies were wonderful. Staff was very kind! Would recommend!

Yelp
Our Power was out, so went for breakfast & thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Excellent service & food hit the spot! I had an Everything Bagel with cream cheese & partner had a blueberry muffin & regular coffee. It was warm & cozy & thoroughly enjoyable!

Yelp
I get hungry early in the morning and wanted to go somewhere close by, so on Sunday my sweetheart and I stopped in for some breakfast. We were happy to see a lot of options, from sandwiches, pastries, bagels and and more and lots of drinks options as well! To drink I went with their Organic Smoothie with mixed berries, bananas, yogurt, milk and Kale/Greens. It's meant to be healthy so I'm not judging by the taste, but the smoothie has a very distinctive banana flavor if you love bananas, you would love this! What a great healthy way to start your morning off with a good start! For breakfast I picked out their Glazed Apple Fritter from their display case. It's Large, deliciously sweet and I'm sure even better warm! I would recommend visiting this family owned and operated coffee and tackle shop located on Pier Arena overlooking Arena Cove Beach! They use both organic and locally sourced ingredients and our cashier was both friendly and helpful! We'll be back if we're ever in the area for breakfast with a view!

Yelp
It's really the perfect coffee shop, and an essential stop if you are in Point Arena. Great cuppa, tasty pastries and you can chat with the locals as you start your day. Don't expect fast, this is for real and not premade.

Joe C.

Yelp
Brilliant, service, drink, food and seaside chats. What else do we need in life? The ambiance both in and out are a place in time.
google avatar

Yelp
Tucked into a little remote part of the town near the pier with a beautiful ocean view. We were staying right above this place in Wharf Masters Inn. The options here were unique and everything seemed good. I had the Thai sandwich. Which was really good as it came with peanut and chilly sauce. It was small yet filling. Had an organic smoothie too. They try to use organic and local foods as available. It's not a big place but you can't go wrong with your sandwiches. We will be returning any time we are in this area.

Gabe S.

Yelp
Awesome food and location! Super friendly staff! Perfect place to watch the waves roll in with views of the surf while sipping on your favorite drink.

Jack G.

Yelp
This place is fantastic! Delicious coffee and tea. Delicious hand pies and muffins. Fresh baked gluten free options too! Very small shop with only one employee, and seating for about a dozen people.

Yelp
This place is heaven on earth. Don't just read reviews and form an opinion. Come here, open up your mind and experience the joy in Nate's white chocolate mocha with whipped cream and Special K bagel sandwich with eggs, melted cheese, avocado, tomato, basil, pesto and cream cheese. I was here in 2013 and now 2019. It feels very much like home and you know, there's no better feeling in this world. God bless y'all. Love you to death and beyond. I am love and we are love. PS: The lady makes a kick ass bagel sandwich.

Lisa G.

Yelp
Tough economic times have forced a lot of our friends businesses to fold. I hope cove stays open, great breakfast sandwiches!

Yelp
Small coffee shop shared in the same building as pier chowder House wonderful aroma of coffee but it's more like gift shop in a coffee shop.with T-shirts, bags, cookies and sweets, boogie board outfits etc. Most of the customers are ppl hanging at beach, walking the pier or after ding at restaurants in same building.

Yelp
If you're in Point Arena between the hours of 7 AM to 3 PM, do yourself (and your karma) a favor and take a detour to the Pier area and drop into this really fantastic coffee and light meal shop! Leave whatever stresses you back on Highway 1 and step into a laid back, friendly world of enchanted caffeinated beverages and delectable sandwiches, served by the friendly owners. Need a surf or fishing report (maybe some tackle or surf gear)? Just ask! The coffee is fresh and delicious (locally roasted beans from responsibly sourced fair trade sources) or order an espresso, mocha or cappuccino. This is not the mundane drinks or factory prepared items from that big plastic corporate coffee chain... these are drinks and delicacies prepared by people who really care about the best! For breakfast, try one of their specialty croissant or bagel egg sandwiches - again, organic eggs and other ingredients make these especially delicious! My personal favorite is Mary's Original with a sausage patty, but all of the various breakfast sandwiches are equally delectable. Kick up the flavor and ask for Nate's Special. For a hearty, rib sticking item, order the organic oatmeal... hot and steamy! There's also wide variety of lunch sandwiches for vegetarians to carnivores. But my day never seems to get me to the area at lunch time. But one of these days!!! Here's a link to their menu - reasonable prices and excellent quality! http://www.covecoffee-ptarena.com/CoveCoffeeMenu.pdf

Yelp
If you don't eat for any sort of length of time....and you happen to crave a Poppy Seed bagel spread with Pesto....this is your place -- in fact...it's on the menu! That's right Yelp..."Woohoo! As good as it gets!" is how you say, "I am in the middle of nowhere and I'm craving something surely too specific for the next business to offer, welp, allbedamned! Poppy&Pesto!" Good form!

Yelp
We always make a point to seek out local coffee places when we're on vacation and we were not disappointed by Cove. Cute place with an AWESOME view which we enjoyed after getting our drinks. While I'll admit we don't order anything other than your basic iced lattes, they were great. They even used coffee ice cube as to not water down the drinks as they melt. The staff was really friendly. I highly recommend stopping at this place for a delicious drink with a beautiful view.
google avatar

Jack B.

Yelp
Excellent sandwiches, and me and my girl were bickering that day... If the food is still enjoyable when you're pissed off, must be a treat!
google avatar

Julie H.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious sandwiches! And with a great ocean view just down in the cove of Point Arena. The sandwiches are made perfectly.
google avatar

Yelp
Cove Coffee is my go to for morning coffee, matte, and breakfast sandwiches. The staff is awesome and upbeat always ready to help you kick the day in the butt with your first cup of motivation. I love the tree-hugger sandwich on marbled rye, and the 420 sandwich on a crissant has staved off morning hunger on many an occasion. With a seaside view and surf shack feel it reminds me of some of my favorite times traveling.
google avatar

Lena K.

Yelp
Great organic coffee. Awesome food. Everything is freshly made. Smells delicious. A large variety of gifts from local artists like abalone earrings to hot drinks cups to Cove Coffee brand products. Super friendly team. The feeling of local community inside and out. We had a very good time grabbing a bite to eat, coffee drinks and the most amazing views of Pacific Ocean at Point Arena.

Yelp
I have been going down to the cove since it opened. I'm not handin out my 5 stars willy nilly everyone, this place is really worth it! Every time I walk in, without fail,I'm greeted by the man or woman behind the counter. They are funny and polite and when my son goes with me, they always treat him like a person rather than treating him like a nuisance. This is rare now a days. Not only is the service exceptional but the food.... Oh the food.... Everything they cook is made to order!! The choices are vast and the food is made with care and it shows with very bite you take. They also have tea and coffee with all the sweetening options you can think of. Great place! This is where us locals spend our money!

Yelp
Very cute coffee shop located in the Cove in Point Arena. I couldn't tell you the address but can tell you that you just follow the signs that point toward the Cove. There's a small eating/shopping center at the bottom of the hill/driveway...surfing and fishing..... Anyways, BF apparently comes here for breakfast once in while and gets a sausage sandwich. Because I require coffee to become a normal person before noon, he suggested Cove Coffee. The shop is run by a cute couple and apparently is a hang out for locals (very chill atmosphere...couch...small tables- cozy conversation between regs). Nate was the only one running the show this fine Sunday morning...I actually ordered a Nate Special (english muffin, egg, sausage, swiss, avocado, pesto and red onion)...and a latte. Love ordered his usual and a white mocha. Nate's a cool guy with some jokes in his arsenal. We browsed and picked out a lovely "Cove Coffee" Hoody while we waited for our food... My sandwich was VERY good...a slice of tomato would've made it perfect. Coffee was good- just not hot enough for me (it was a windy day and we sat outside to eat). The setting is straight out of a Nicholas Sparks novel minus the drama. Cost was easy on the wallet....and food was good on the palette. This is going to be my all-time breakfast stop during my visits to the coast....cheap, fast and easy (like ME!:) )

Yelp
Great way to start my day! Having bypassed the continental breakfast at the hotel where we stayed, I enjoyed a couple mornings at this cafe. Day one, I sat amongst several tables of locals (mostly commercial fisherman) and just enjoyed listening to the banter and comraderie! I was absolutely the odd-gal-out but it was okay! My Americano was as good as anywhere else and it came with a free refill of regular coffee so my 1.5 hour stay was quite pleasant. Read the paper, met a bunch of genuine folk and ended with a turkey and cranberry sandwich on a whole wheat bagel. There was one other place in town but I'd choose Cove Coffee over the arena market if for no other reason than the ambience.
google avatar

Cynthia H.

Yelp
A great folksy place. Very friendly and accommodating as I asked them to prepare something not on the menu and they did so without even a blink! Great view of the cove and good breakfast.

S N.

Yelp
Fabulous! Great shirts and hats with good prices. The iced latte was perfect, and they even offered coffee ice cubes. Great location to get a coffee and let the kids explore the rocks. Will be back for sure.
google avatar

Yelp
I'd say that this is where the locals go because everyone here knows everyone else by name! Went on a mini-vacation to Point Arena and stumbled upon this coffee shop. It is off the main drag at the Pier, but make sure you don't miss it. I had a coconut latte... thought I could only get those in Hawaii. Exciting for a lactose intolerant gal, this place had every single kind of non-dairy option available for making coffee - coconut milk, almond milk, soy... My drink was delicious. I also heard two locals commenting about their sandwiches. It was only good things and I saw those sandwiches. I wanted to take a bite out of one of them, but I didn't think that'd go over too well! Also an awesome find for those paddling, surfer, water sport types (like myself), this place sells water booties, board/boat leashes, surfing attire, Dakine water systems, straps, and more. For those non-water sport people, they have goodies too - shirts, coffee mugs, and tye-dye bags. Can't wait to go back, enjoy the coast and a cup of coffee.

Yelp
Great breakfast bagel here. Delicious. Super friendly service & a great local vibe. What a great start to our day!!
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place! The owner and his wife are awesome. Great coffee and food. Cool merch to buy and look at. Friendly regulars. We will stop here over and over. Cove Coffee Rocks!
google avatar

Lisa J.

Yelp
Yummy coffee and smiley faces! Beautiful spot. Good little breakfast spot too. They even ha e a little surfing gear, fishing tackle, hats, books, etc.
google avatar

Matthias H.

Yelp
I think Nate read Dahlia's review. I had a BLT there yesterday, which was great. The T was homegrown, says Nate. Given the sweet taste, I believe him. We happened to stumble upon the Cove Coffee by accident, because Franny's bakery was closed. I'm the pastry and croissant kind of guy when it comes to breakfast (well, any meal if I could), so Nate's BLT had a difficult job making up for that disappointment. But it did a splendid job.

Yelp
Cove Coffe has get coffee ! I live in Orrick MO and my wife and i where visiting my brother in Gualala we had some great coffee. Kim & Stacy Kolosick Orrick MO

Yelp
This place is money. Super friendly staff (almost gave us our lattes and hot chocolates), and some of the best coffee around (via the Green Bean roasters). Will try their breakfast por la mañana.
google avatar

Bryan M.

Yelp
We had coffee and breakfast sandwiches. The coffee was great with a couple different choices of drip coffee. They also offer every other coffee drink found at most coffee shops with a few options unique to here. The breakfast sandwich was original and delicious. We had a window seat with a great view. A lot of people just stopped in and got food and coffee to go but my tip is to stop and hangout here. It's a got a cool and relaxed vibe that is worth taking the to time experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Great little coffee joint. They open at 7am. Real friendly crew and stupid good coffee. The decor could use some organizing but that's me I am OCD. Definitely will come back
google avatar

Amilia B.

Yelp
Best coffee. Best service. Best view. Best food. You can't miss this when in point arena.
google avatar

Marin C.

Yelp
I didn't know my mother wanted to get an iced tea upstairs at the chowder house, so I got a soda and a fruit strip snack here. I'm pretty sure I enjoyed both. Service was maybe haphazard, but nice so, s'all good. Feels like a local yokel scene. Dig it.
