12 Lighthouse Airbnb Rentals for a Coastal Getaway - AFAR

"Located on a seven-acre point at one of the narrowest spots on the Chesapeake Bay, this still-active lighthouse—established in 1828—is Maryland’s oldest continuously operating light and includes a 40-foot brick tower and a keeper’s cottage expanded into a duplex in 1925. The entire house is available to rent (with options for smaller parties to take one side), and outdoor features include screened porches with bay views and a beach where kids enjoy hunting for shark teeth and seashells." - Nicholas DeRenzo

The 51 Most Wish-Listed Airbnbs in the United States - AFAR

"A 193-year-old lighthouse keeper’s house reimagined as a large, historic retreat with six bedrooms (sleeping up to 16); it combines period charm—perfect for reading by lamplight—with communal spaces for groups, and rental proceeds help support an endowment for the site’s continued care." - Lyndsey Matthews

Beautiful lighthouse, near Solomons Island. You can learn about lighthouse's history by video(It is showing during the visit hours). You can also ring the big bell too. But can't go up to the Lighthouse. It was really fun for the whole family. We went for Mother's Day outing, and one of the staff gave me a free lighthouse earnings for Mother's Day gift. One of the ladies gave me a shark tooth as a souvenir as well. Thank you so much.

Nice place to stop in. Very peaceful, the gentlemen working was very friendly and knowledgeable, took out picture. Nice 2 seat rocker. Bummer that you can't go up in the lighthouse. You don't need much time but a must see.

Amazing unique place for an overnight stay. Stayed here as part of a wedding party who booked the lighthouse keeper's residence on AirBnB. Super unique residence with a ton of space in different sleeping options. Easy beach access. Nice small museum open for a few hours on the weekend that's great to visit as well.

What a lovely lighthouse! It was delightful to converse about the lighthouses and local history with the two docents!

This is a beautiful lighthouse - nearly 200 years old! Sweeping views of the bay and Calvert Cliffs. Limited access hours of only 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday so plan ahead if you want to visit. There are lots of signs posted around the property with facts and history. The base of the lighthouse is open but you can't climb up in it. No beach access.

Nice little stop to visit a very old lighthouse. The young lady working inside the little museum was extremely pleasant and accommodating. You probably won’t spend more than 20 minutes here, but it is a nice stop for a few photos and some history.
