7 Best Airbnbs in Cape Cod to Book Now - AFAR

"There’s something magical about this tiny home, hidden in the woods outside of Wellfleet, with its colorful quilts, stained glass, wood-burning stove, and shelves lined with hundreds of books. Owners Susannah and Russell are, respectively, a writer for the arts section of the local newspaper and a carpenter who’s been building Cape Cod–style homes for more than three decades, and they’ve crafted a relaxing retreat that’s surrounded on all sides by nature. Wellfleet’s beaches, ponds, trails, and shops are all easily accessible, but once you walk the wooded path and climb the stairs to this cozy cabin, you may be more inclined to spend your time in quiet contemplation in the reading nook, at the writing desk, or surrounded by birdsong on the porch. Bonus: You’ll wake up to a batch of freshly baked muffins on your doorstep." - Nicholas DeRenzo

My stay at Cove Woods was peaceful and pleasant, thanks to the great location and gracious hosts Geoff and Jaya. Breakfast was good and healthy. There were various conveniences in the room, some expected (such as the mini-fridge), and some unexpected (beach towels! thank goodness, I forgot to bring one). The only thing I missed in the room was any way to warm up food or heat my water to make some tea. A microwave or hot plate would be very welcome. There's no TV, but I didn't miss it. Wi-fi was available, and the Internet connection was not exactly fast but good enough for regular browsing.||The location of this B&B is great for visiting the beaches. Indian Neck Beach, which looks out on a scenic harbor, is right down the road, and since the Cape is narrow this far up, driving to either the bay side or ocean side takes only minutes. If you feel like staying in for part of the day, the room is full of light thanks to all the windows, and there's also a deck chair for laying outside when the weather's right. Nighttime at the B&B is super-quiet, and you won't have any trouble sleeping in the comfortable bed!

My new husband and I stayed here during our wedding weekend, and it was the best little getaway for us! The room was full of beautiful natural light and tucked away from the road looking out into a beautiful wooded property. The room was clean and tidy and had plenty of space for storing luggage and keeping things organized during our stay. There is a separate parking area for the suite we stayed in, and it is very private with its own little walkway from the parking area that is well lit at night. Our hosts were absolutely delightful! G came out to greet us when we arrived, showed us the space, and gave us the run-down. J made us delicious breakfasts during our stay and was incredibly warm and sweet during our interactions. I was very happy that we chose to stay here.

My husband and I stayed at Cove Woods the weekend that we were married on Cape Cod. We booked a room at the B&B so that we could have somewhere private and quiet to stay. It exceeded expectation. We had our own little unit on the back of the property. It was mostly separate from owners unit and the other guest unit. We had a nice big room, bathroom and closet (with a small mini fridge). The room also had a lovely private deck looking out on the back woods. We ate our breakfast out there every morning- such a nice way to start the day. ||||The owners were great, as well. They are friendly, but give you your space. The wife made such amazing breakfasts every morning using produce from her garden and other high quality ingredients. It seemed that she tried to stay as organic as possible. Breakfasts included french toast, parfaits, fresh fruit, toast topped with avocado and local cheese.||||It was such a nice trip and we would return to Cove Woods in a heartbeat.

This bed and breakfast was absolutely wonderful for our two-night stay in August. Jaya and Geoff were excellent hosts, very friendly while giving us plenty of privacy.||||The B&B only has two rooms and each has its own entrance and exit. Our room was incredibly comfortable and nicely decorated. Windows look out onto the peaceful woods and a small private deck. Additionally, the room was HUGE, larger than most studio apartments in Boston! We had lovely sleep in the large bed, relaxed on the futon, enjoyed the walk-in closet's refrigerator, and ate breakfast at the corner table. The bathroom is large and functional.||||Breakfasts are delivered each morning to your door. We enjoyed fresh fruit, french toast, homemade breads, coffee, etc.||||I peaked into the window of the other room on our way out (the other visitors had left) and it, also quite large, appeared to have separate areas for eating and sleeping.||||Cove Woods is in a nice location, just off Route 6A and within a mile of the bay beaches and a short drive to the ocean (which we took both days). Finally, the value of the room ($160/night) was incredible!

It's very comfortable, clean, attractive, serene, airy, and bright. We had a private deck and entrance (there were other guests, but we never saw them). We looked out onto a slightly wooded area, and it was very quiet, yet we were just 2 minutes away from Route 6, 5 minutes from the center of Wellfleet, and 10 minutes from the National Seashore and the Wellfleet Audubon sanctuary. We could easily get everywhere on the outer cape, including several of Cape Cod's best beaches. This was our first real visit to Wellfleet. We ware delighted to find the town friendly, not at all touristy, and with its share of attractions, including fabulous restaurants. We were delighted to find an inviting and contemporary place to stay. Breakfasts were quite ample (oatmeal, juice, fruit); we ate it all and kept getting more until we said Enough! It's a very eco-minded place, very clean, and the room was perfect for two people. The hosts like people (which is not to be counted on!), even at the end of the season (we were there in late September). The hosts are very welcoming, they are sensitive to whether you want help or can manage on your own, and they are very interesting and delightful people. We agree this is the best place we have ever found to stay. In short, we almost cried when we had to leave.

Jayla and Geof Karlson , who own and run Cove Woods B&B, have the right idea about a lot of things. They offer a peaceful escape to their guests, which is very hard to find in these times. And they do it naturally, because they themselves have managed to circumvent the hectic energy of the world " out there". If you want to write, read, sleep on the private deck, or have a good conversation with your mate, this simple place is the perfect choice. There is nothing fancy here, just good vibes.||||The apartment that makes up their one-rental B&B is attached but totally private and separate from the main house. It is like a spacious studio unit without the kitchen.||( There is a small refigerator) There is no TV available here, but there is very good wi-fi.||I was amazed at how much my husband and I enjoyed being away from a television for four days. It was rejuvenating. In the back yard is a full vegetable garden that supplies fresh ingredients for Jayla's exquisite breakfasts. No meat here either, but we didn't mind one bit. Lots of fresh everything and hot, hot coffee.||||We would return to Cove Woods without hesitation. It is spotless, sunny, and ideally located to downtown Wellfleet, and the Karlsons are perfect hosts.

This is a just a wonderful place. The room is enormous and filled with light, with the windows looking out on the woods and garden. Everything is much more than comfortable, and the breakfasts were very special. Lovely to sleep in as well, so quiet that we could enjoy the sound one night of distant owls calling in the woods. The proprietors were friendly, accommodating, as well as helpful. A treasure we were so glad to discover.

This bed and breakfast offers a private entrance to your room, which is quite large. Your hosts provide small lovely touches such as fresh flowers in different colored vases with an ever-changing natural, homemade breakfast delivered promptly to your door. Although listed as a continental style, we found the breakfasts to be quite filling. There was always an egg or bread dish with fresh fruit and juices. They even make their own yogurt. The woodsy setting is peaceful and we were located close enough to town, the beaches, restaurants, etc. I believe this is a good value and for two people, a very comfortable stay. i definitely recommend it!

Yelp
This Bed & Breakfast was beyond perfection! My boyfriend and I stayed here for Labor Day weekend 2018 and they definitely exceeded our expectations! The owners were extremely nice and accommodating! The breakfast is fresh and delicious, I've never had such an amazing omelet before! They have a big beautiful garden with fresh fruits and vegetable which they serve for breakfast as well! You get your own little cottage with a huge bed, closet and your own porch to hang out on. The whole place is well kept and extremely clean! There's was no tv which on vacation you don't need one anyway! We felt very in tune with the nature around us! Minutes away from beautiful beaches and only about a 35 min drive to Province Town. Many great restaurants surrounding the area! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
This is a one of a kind bed and breakfast where you are served a homemade organic breakfast every morning by the owner, Jaya. She is delightful, kind, warm and extremely accommodating. The king bed is extremely comfortable, huge walk in closet, couch, table and chairs and your own outdoor patio with a view of Welfleet wildlife. I highly recommend this peaceful sanctuary for your stay at the cape. Please note there is no television but there is music.

Yelp
This was just a wonderful place for my wife and I to stay, for 2 days in September 2018. The room is huge and full of light, with great views of the woods and garden. There's a nice place to sit outside as well. The breakfasts were delicious, and it was perfectly quiet for sleeping. The proprietors were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Overall a treasure.

Yelp
What a gem! Lovely room with private deck, separate entrance, and total privacy. Our room was immaculate, spacious, simply & thoughtfully appointed. Geoff & Jaya are charming hosts. Jaya delivers a gorgeous breakfast to the room on a tea cart at whatever time you say. Geoff is a serious gardener who, with the slightest encouragement, will give you the garden tour, both veggies and flowers. The deck is surrounded by woods with table and chairs for outdoor snacks or breakfast. The house is located on a quiet road a short distance (10 minute walk) from Indian Neck beach, which is underpopulated and with a great view of the harbor. 10 minute bike ride to "downtown" Wellfleet. Hard to do better than this place.
