We had a wonderful stay in SF at The Coventry. Check in was easy and friendly. Our room was very clean and we could tell there had been recent updates. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and had the softest sheets I have ever slept under! My husband and I both had terrific nights sleep. The bathroom is updated and includes shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower. We had an interior room #218, which had a view of a wall. No big deal for us because we were only in the room to sleep. Parking was Free and secure which is basically unheard of in San Francisco.

We got one of the few rooms with a breezeway window, no view at all, but absolutely quiet. Room nicely and comfortably furnished. Very comfortable mattresses. Modernized bathroom, rain shower, radiant heater, shampoo and lotion dispenser. Everything very well equipped. Room safe available. Drinks machine in the hallway. Private locked parking garage for guests.

The Coventry Motor Inn offers a very pleasant stay. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and notably clean, with thoughtful decorations that add to their appeal. While breakfast wasn't offered during our stay, the check-in process was effortless, and the front-desk person was helpful in giving us the pass to park our car in the basement. Our overall experience was up to the mark, and I would confidently recommend this inn to any traveller.

This hotel is refurbished... very nice for price point. Beds and bedding are very comfortable. If your room faces Lombard it can get noisy late nite- but that did not bother me. Covered parking is included! The front desk is very friendly and efficient. I would appreciate being informed of housekeeping policy. You have to request it, and if you don't it is not likely they will get to it even if you ask in the morning. Even that was too late. This is in a great location, shopping and food options all within walking distance. The rooms are all enclosed within the building, and because access to rooms requires room key we felt very safe. Can't go wrong staying here, highly recommend.

Google
This hotel is in a great location, there is a stop for the hop on hop off bus not far away and the from the hotel it is easily walkable to puer39. It doesn't look much from the outside and the elevator area but the room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Would definitely stay here again

The remodeled rooms are awesome. We stayed here for 24 hours for a quick SF wedding, and this was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were bright and spacious. We faced the alleyway and besides the garbage truck Monday morning there wasn't noise. The bed was awesome. Wonderful location for walking around before we had to fly out.

Google
Amazing no-frills hotel on Lombard street. Recently renovated, there are no hidden charges. No breakfast, no pool, no gym, THEREFORE NO "RESORT FEE"! Very secure underground parking is INCLUDED in the room price, too. In San Francisco, that's miraculous. If the gym, "breakfast", and a pool are important to you, don't stay here. If you love big, beautiful rooms, no added fees for things you don't use, and secure gated parking included, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! You can get anywhere with Waymo as well!

I've stayed here several times but the last time was horrible. My father had his surgery date moved up last minute and I had to cancel my booking a day before. Thing is, it was also a non-fundable purchase. I called a few times, spoke to multiple people and no one seemed to really care. I believe one time I was able to receive a reply from the manager who told me that it was against policy to grant me a refund. Booking.com was unfortunately unable to help me without the hotels approval. Well, my father died the following month and I was still charged $317. Greed is an awful thing. Never staying here or any of the sister hotels ever again. Sadly I will always think of this experience when I visit San Francisco.

Yelp
The is a clean comfortable motor inn and the location is so great for sightseeing. Would recommend staying here and being able to walk to many nearby attractions and close to pick up points for public transporation.

Yelp
BEWARNED!! I had booked through Booking.com what I thought was a refundable ticket for a trip that was 62 days from the arrival date, buried in the fine print was the fact that I can to cancel 60 days before the arrival date. I suspected that there was going to be a massive layoff which is why I wanted a refundable rate. Well, yes, I was laid off and canceled by trip 45 days prior to arrival! Nope - Coventry Motor Inn would NOT refund me. I've even sent 2 email messages explaining the circumstances and CRICKETS!

Yelp
HORRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT STAY HERE. MANY BETTER OPTIONS IN AREA. General Manager is very likely the least caring person about their customers of any person I have ever met. Upon learning that my room didn't have WiFi, I went to the front desk inquiring about another room or a refund. I was told by the front desk that my room was closest to the router in the entire hotel, so there are no better rooms and they would issue a refund. I gathered my belongings, booked another hotel, and left within 15 minutes. A few days later, the manager refused to issue the refund through hotels.com and claimed the entire story was made up. He said only he can tell someone about a refund. Considering his front desk person told me I would get a refund and he wasn't even there, how would I have known that? He then issued a 3 cent refund out of spite and directly said he doesn't care what anyone thinks of his hotel. I wish him the best with that approach to customer service, and strongly encourage you to spend your hard earned dollars with someone who respects you.

Yelp
I've stayed in my share of hotels throughout the years. Everything that ranges from the cheap bedbug-infested fleabag motels up to the overpriced, posh 5-star luxury suites. These days, I mainly focus on affordability, convenience, and most importantly, location. "The Coventry Motor Inn" fits the bill and is definitely tops in my book, especially when staying in San Francisco. This place has 5 sister locations; "Chelsea Inn", "Cow Hollow Inn" (also on Lombard St.), "Columbus Inn" (near Fisherman's Wharf), " The Bay Landing Hotel" (at SFO), and "Vineyard Country Inn" (at St. Helena in the Napa wine country). Located directly on Lombard St. (and adjacent to Buchanan St.), The Coventry Motor Inn is in the heart of the affluent Cow Hollow Marina District. There is a ton of things in close proximity; restaurants, coffee shops, parks, a library, shopping, the Marina Greens, and much more all within walking distance. Only two blocks away is Union St. where there is an endless amount of bars, shops, and boutiques. And roughly three blocks the other direction is Chestnut St. which also offers a variety of entertainment options. Public transportation here is abundant as Muni bus service runs nearby as well as plenty of Uber drivers to take you where you want to go. This particular hotel is not fancy so if you're looking for a modern, updated experience with all the bells and whistles, look elsewhere. However, this place does offer all the necessary amenities. On the inside, they include free Wi-Fi, a 40" flatscreen TV, a fireproof safe, hairdryer, coffee maker, a Temper-Pedic brand mattress, full-size bathtub w/shower head, generous closet space, and a digital heater/air conditioner with a wall mounted unit. However, the main reason why I am deducting a star from this review is that there is no mini-refrigerator or a microwave inside (at least in the room I was staying in). The exterior does offer free complimentary parking; a major plus which is the primary reason why I wanted to stay here. I booked my one-night stay from Saturday 4/1/2023 to Sunday 4/2/2023. Check-in times are at 3:00pm. I had arrived with my luggage at 2:45pm and the gentleman at the front desk was very polite. Keep in mind that a $100 refundable deposit is required (which you will get back after you check out of your room). Once you get your key cards, you proceed to the elevator and go up to either the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd floors. I stayed on the 1st floor and had a nice street view from Lombard Street. They also include an ice machine and soda machine near the elevator. And just a heads up, this place does not offer any type of breakfast/snacks so if you're hungry, I would recommend packing food prior to your stay. Check-out times are at 11:00am as everything flowed super smooth. I also got my $100 deposit wiped off my bank statement the following day. All in all, "The Coventry Motor Inn" was a wonderful above-average experience as I recommend anyone that wishes to enjoy a safe and painless stay in a very desirable area of San Francisco. I booked my appointment online through Expedia and only paid $139 for the one night (which included all taxes and fees). I am sure you can find deals on other sites such as Priceline and Orbitz so it is good to keep an eye out for the best deal possible. With that said and done, I am giving my overall experience here an above average 4-star rating.

Yelp
The hotel was good, clean, the Indian officer who meet us to register was very nice and helping, He helped a lot. But the other guy probably Mexican was Awful, unprofessional just speaking with you at the same time not listening to costumer to understand and answer their concern.. he was stupid and disappointing. All impression from.that hotel was changed because of him. Never will take the hotel
google avatar

Yelp
everything is clean and tidy, if you stay for 2-3 days! We stayed for 6 days, the room was never cleaned or towels changed! Even if the hotel has two stars, can they clean the room at least once every three days? One of the advantages is free parking in the underground garage!

Yelp
We loved our stay here while visiting San Francisco for two nights. Very reasonable, and the rooms are so cute and charming. Would stay again!!

Yelp
Motor Inn has had a recent remodel and it is good. Rooms can go toe to toe with Hiltons and Hyatts ( at least the one we had). Nice bathroom, in -room safe, mini fridge, BIG OL' comfy bed. Quiet. Free parking. Located away from the Tourist hotels in Union Square, the Inn is close to Union street shops and restaurants, the Marina district for dining, and lovely Chrissy Field and the Golden Gate Bridge. I would definately return.

Yelp
Rating: I stayed at Coventry hotel on June 1st and was charged $148 for the room and an additional $150 for incidentals. Upon receiving an alert about these charges, I questioned the older Asian gentleman at the front desk. He explained that this was their policy. I checked out on June 2nd, but by June 7th, the $150 incidental charge was still not refunded. When I called, a woman informed me that the gentleman who checked me in mistakenly processed a charge instead of an authorization, so it would take another week for the refund to show up. On June 14th, I called back and spoke with the manager. He claimed that there was $150 worth of damage to the towels and shower curtain due to red dye. I have brown hair and do not dye my hair, so this claim is completely false. They sent pictures, but it was clear they were not from my room. Now, I am forced to take them to small claims court to resolve this issue. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and stressful. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Yelp
Very nice and convenient hotel. Free parking. 5 Mon walk to any amenities. Cross the street you can find liquor store. The rooms are very clean. In the room you can find cafe mashine, fridge. Ice maker and vending with drying are on any floor. Strongly recommend for cars trips.

Yelp
This place is a gem. And at $105 a night, it's no brainer when you're bar hopping on union or the marina to avoid a DUI. (Don't forget the night cap at the Brazenhead!). They've recently remodeled and it was pleasant and clean. We woke up early and had a nice walk about with coffee before leaving the city

Yelp
No frills hotel. If you're looking for a modern and updated, high end hotel, this is not the one. The hotel hallways, elevator and room are outdated. However the room itself is very clean and tidy. The room and bathroom is pretty big. Currently, for COVID reasons you have to request the day before by 7pm to have someone clean your room if you like for the next day. There is AC that works well and a TV with a bunch of channels. A con is that the rooms do not have a mini fridge or microwave. They do have an ice machine and a vending machine though. Oh the elevators sometimes are slow. The hotel also offer free underground parking that is gated, not something that can be easily found. Location wise, this is a great location located near the Marina district. It's close to many touristy spots, restaurants and it's safe to walk around. The staff there is nice and kind.

Shayla C.

Yelp
David was very friendly and generous in his assistance with parking and last minute room accommodation changes. The room was clean and cozy. I'd visit again!

Ellin B.

Yelp
It's been several years since I've stayed at the Coventry Inn, and our recent experience there was fantastic! The rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors have been remodeled very nicely. The bed and bedding were extremely comfortable, a huge bonus. I mentioned that my husband was having (brain) surgery at UCSF the day after we arrived, and the Manager (David) rushed out of the office to help us unload our luggage onto the cart and offered to help us up to the room. The rest of David's team were super helpful and friendly during the 2-night stay (I stayed on a second night). The location is excellent, with easy access to multiple Muni public bus lines; & parking is included, which is unheard of in San Francisco these days. We will definitely be staying there on future overnight visits to SF!

Yelp
I made a reservation. And was in I would say 12 hours I told them that my husband was having a colonoscopy and that he was not going to be staying in the city and was coming back to Santa Rosa. I asked them if they could please change the date and we would be happy to use it at some other time. Example of being a GREAT HOTEL: the Hampton Inn and suites that we used on Booking.com many times accommodated us right away; the first time we stayed with them, we had to cancel and stay at another time...ABSOLUTELY no problem. The Coventry Inn San Francisco not only did not even consider making some sort of an arrangement with us, (we didn't even want a refund just a date change) but they wouldn't refund our money, change date. They wouldn't even speak to us. They didn't even respond to my 2nd request for a response. I do not recommend them. But if you like corporate America and, the loss of complete customer service and complete robotic communication and non-human help; with no possible option for a negotiation, a change or any help. Stay at the Coventry Inn. They also have bedbugs big ones

Yelp
Trauma. First room, smelled like cigarettes and body odor. I asked to be moved to another room since my party and I found it uncomfortable. Second room was even worse, with holes in the sheets, flatten pillows, stained walls, and bedding smelled used and unwashed. It was so bad my group immediately booked another hotel and we all got out of there.

Katharine A.

Yelp
We were incredibly disappointed because the elevators were out and we had to go through a labyrinth of stairs to get to and fro our room. They didn't even notify us that the elevators were out, until after we checked in. The least they could've done was to notify us so we could've made an educated decision on whether or not we should stay someplace else. The room smelled as well as if the sheets and bedding hadn't been fully washed. We have stayed in their sister inn, Cow Hollow Inn on previous stays. That was a much better experience.

Yelp
The Coventry motor inn was an experience. Smelled a little funny, stains in the hallway, kind of a funky room. Possibly got a couple bug bites but we're not sure. Also the A.C. kept turning off in the middle of the night. But the bed was super comfy! The service was excellent (all of the staff was super kind). It's in a great location. And best of all... the parking garage is very secure. It has a gate and is bellow ground. It's kind of a toss up. Not super duper nice. I probably wouldn't stay there again but it did keep our cars safe for the night and for that we were grateful. I would give it 3.5 stars if yelp let me
google avatar

Yelp
A friend and I stayed at the Coventry motor inn for 6 nights and it was great! Our room was on the 3rd floor and was huge! We had two beds and tons of space. I could even do yoga in the room no problem. The location was amazing. They are close to major bus lines as well as the water, shops, and restaurants. The room was clean and well taken care of. I would 100% stay here again.
google avatar

Yelp
Solid Hotel and Clean rooms. The location is great and has lots of restaurants around it, and a short walk to the water front. Bed was a bit stiff but still comfortable!

Elane C.

Yelp
Clean as a pin! Rooms appear to be just remodeled. Good beds. Safe parking. Will stay here again.

Yelp
Was staying with a friend, left the room and came back later to go upstairs, even though the room was paid for , the manager David was extremely rude and would not let me back in, not even to collect my things! I kept my composure but finally got frustrated and said I would report him to corporate, he said he can get nasty too ( he is management!) He refused to let me go upstairs to collect my things out of spite. I actually enjoyed staying at this place, this manager should not work in the hospitality industry or anywhere in which he would have to interact with people.

Yelp
A nice hotel located near the marina district. So I might as well give you the heads up right off the bat. This particular hotel is older, and is not your Marriott, W hotel, or any other high end hotel. That is not to say it is dirty or not worth staying in for the night. I tend to be more of a budget hotel guy as I do not spend much time in the rooms or use any of the facilities. My rule is as long as it is clean, comfortable, and easy to navigate, I am a happy camper. I am not saying I will turn down a super posh hotel, but typically for vacations I tend to grab a two or three star versus digging into my wallet for a four or five star. Okay, with all of that out of the way, The Coventry is a few blocks from the marina district and a short drive to SOMA or anywhere in the city. They offer free underground parking on site for visitors staying at the hotel, which is key. Most hotels charge and arm and a leg to park at their facility or even worse blocks away. Front desk staff was very helpful, of course trying to tell me about tourist locations, which I kindly turned down as I have lived in the Bay Area most of my life. Security is pretty tight here, so I was never worried about my car or any issues with my room. The room itself was quite large with a newly renovated bathroom with plenty of amenities. One of the more important aspects which some hotels seem to skimp on nowadays was free coffee in the room (yay!). Bed was a tad hard, but honestly I am used to hard beds and actually prefer them nowadays. The television had plenty of channels to keep me entertained for the few hours I spent in the room, so no complaints on that end. As for food options, its the city, so it's hard not to be located near any restaurants, but I opted for SOMA options while there. So to sum everything up, if you are looking for a budget hotel with free on site parking and most importantly clean, take a gander at the Coventry Inn.

Yelp
Visiting San Francisco for first time and didn't really know where to stay. Bling luck took us to Coventry Motor Inn. I am so amazed with the quality of the hotel. It has everything you need- super comfortable bed, blind out curtains and a coffee maker for the morning. Parking is free and all staff is friendly and helpful. We extended our stay and definitely will come back. Best surprise for us was that we have a view of the Golden Gate Bridge from our window!!!!!

Patrick F.

Yelp
Excellent central location, free parking with an underground parking lot. Rooms were clean but old and outdated, but for the price it's virtually impossible to find anything nice or clean. I stayed in Early Oct 2020 and rooms were around $100 a night. Quite hotel and i never felt unsafe, especially for being in San Francisco. Customer service was fine. Honestly, if your company makes you travel on a tight budget and you need to be in San Francisco, this is a pretty solid choice.

Forrest G.

Yelp
They gave me a room on 2nd floor today.. Filthy & gross!!! Looks like they barely cleaned the room. Partial roll of toilet paper w/ no spare anywhere(how cheap)!!!! Candy wrappers behind the night stand. Someone plugged the peep hole with tissue & they totally missed it.. wtf??!!! The bedding got fresh stains on em'. Basically a low quality place & they clearly they cut corners at this place!!! Better choices all along Lombard.. Don't make the same mistake by coming here!!!!
google avatar

Yulisa R.

Yelp
Enjoy staying here for 3 days including 4 of july! Room are extremely clean . Staff are very friendly and made sure my family and I were comfortable in our room. Free parking is a plus! I'll definitely be back here for our next trip to sf .
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome choice for a somewhat last minute trip to SF. Right between the Marina /Marina Green Area and Cow Hollow and walking distance to Union Street and lots of dining and shopping. Good value for a busy Fleet Week stay, easy to walk to everything. Free parking! Friendly staff. Tony helped me find my door dash delivery when the driver got a little lost. Very helpful staff. We had a view of the top of the Golden Gate from our room. While the property is on the older side, all the positives make up for it. Rooms along Lombard can be a little noise but hey, it's a night in the City!
google avatar

Jasmyne P.

Yelp
Love this place! Easy on the wallet, clean and comfortable rooms, nice people! Sushi place across the street is awesome but be sure to sit at the counter to get the full experience! Awesome

Craig P.

Yelp
This is a basic, no frills motel on Lombard Street. There is free above & below parking. Rooms are very clean. Our room faced the alley which was very quiet. Upon laying on the bed, I felt no blanket under the bed cover. I called the desk and was told to come down and obtain one. Really? The blanket I received was a thin wool blanket. We had to crank up the room heat to keep warm during the rain storm. There are no USB ports so it's good we brought our own iPhone chargers. Rooms are not cleaned until the 3rd day of stay so we reused our bath towels (you can go down to the front desk to get replacements). Ice and soda machines on the floor. Good location as Mel's Diner, Jake's Steaks, Luca's Deli and Walgreens are within walking distance. There is also a liquor store across the street. We were only in San Francisco a few days so it was okay.
google avatar

Julio P.

Yelp
I chose this place because it included parking. Upon arrival they were doing construction and the turpintine fumes were overwelming. The room was average sized with 2 queen beds. The curtains were stained and torn. They didnt include comforters or winter blankets. But the most irritating part was being blocked late at night and the front desk was mia for over 30 mins. It delayed our festivities. No one answered the courtesty phone or the back up lines. Needless to say we will not return.

Yelp
NEVER AGAIN. This place was booked for me on a business trip which was fine based on reviews. First night, no issues. Room was a bit dated, tv responded to the remote sometimes but overall. Decent. There's a sign on the door that you place on the handle if you want housekeeping. I purposely chose not to leave the door tag on there in hopes they would skip my room because I had my GoPro camera out but nonetheless they "cleaned" it anyway. Came back to a seemingly clean room which took me by surprise (again, did not ask for housekeeping at all. Opted out). Got into bed that night only to be woken up at 1:30AM with SEVERAL BITE MARKS! WHAT THE ACTUAL F**K?! There were two on the back of the bottom of my hand (pictured), two on my middle and ring fingers, 4 on the back of my left arm, 3 on the back of my right arm and 2 under my chin! I jumped out of the bed and stared at it. After about 30 seconds I saw a black beetle-like bug crawling on top of the pillow. I called the front desk and requested to be moved immediately because i woke up with bites all over me and saw the culprit shortly after. The person on the other end simply said "ok", no shock, no apology, no nothing - as if this was normal! I was placed in another room and slept with layers on. The following morning I checked out and requested a refund. At first they declined and stated that the "maintenance guy checked the room and found nothing". I'm sorry. I didn't know the same person that mops the floor (no disrespect to maintenance positions) would be so skilled to also be a bed bug inspector! It wasn't until I showed the picture of my hand and then showed how swollen it was that they offered the refund -_- (talk about getting an F in customer service) Eventually 2/3 nights were refunded and they offered to call a cab (that I was to pay for- ha!). Awesome that so many people have had a great stay there but for more than one reason I will NEVER be returning. The bug didn't even offer to pay half for the room he joined me in... I'm willing to bet they'll post a phony.. whoops I mean "professional" response to this review mentioning that they "passed inspection" on bugs like they said this morning...right. That's why I have over 10 bite marks and you weren't surprised at all when I mentioned the issue... the customer service in this place is a joke. They even tried to blame me for the bug... meanwhile my suitcase was sealed (thank god) and across the room when this happened... Good luck to you all. Sleep here at your own risk...

Yelp
This was my first time staying in the Marina/Cow Hollow district of SF and I am so glad I chose this hotel. I arrived in SF around 9:30 pm and I was completely exhausted. Thankfully check-in at Coventry was a quick and simple process. The gentleman at the desk gave me a map of the district and gave me pointers on where he liked to eat and grab coffee. After receiving my keys, I quickly went to my room. I was honestly quite impressed by it. The room itself is spacious, had a small dining table, and a king-size bed. There was more than enough room for me. The bathroom was clean, and it had a nice size tub. It was perfect for soaking in after a long day. And what was especially nice was having a coffee machine in the room. I loved brewing coffee in the morning while getting ready for the day. I used the safe in the room throughout my stay. It was free and super easy to use. I read other reviews and people said that there was a "loud" and "quiet" side of the hotel. I must've been on the quiet side because there was hardly any noise from the street. This hotel is perfect because it is located on Lombard, which is easy to get to by taxi. It is also within walking distance of Fillmore and Union, where the dining and shopping options are! Overall, I completely enjoyed my stay here. It was perfect for me because it was within walking distance of shops. My room was cleaned everyday and my coffee bags were always restocked! I hardly stayed in my room, except when it was time to sleep. But honestly, who comes to San Francisco to be stuck in a hotel room?! Some Tips: -Albertino's, which is a convenient store, is across of the hotel and they're open until 2 am. -AC and heater works perfectly -Free and reliable Wi-fi throughout the vicinity
google avatar

Edward R.

Yelp
Terrible experience with the manager. Manager was completely lying about having a no refund policy and completely had the capacity to provide refund. Absolutely says "following a script" in regards to their policy with Expedia but what kind of modern hotel doesn't provide that refund? In this day and age, you would expect hotels to provide a reasonable refund policy that's set 30 days away but of course, you meet individuals like this who have something up in the rear about following rules dogmatically. If you can't give the refund, don't freaking lie about that up front saying you have absolutely no idea. You talked to an Expedia representative literally 10 seconds prior to the phone call so don't lie about that. It's ridiculous how some people lie and pretend like they have 0 freaking idea and get so blatantly caught in a lie.

G M.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for 3 days. The man who checked us in was very nice ad helpful. Rented an extra room for my sis in law and nephews. The rooms were a little dated, but very clean and comfy. The AC worked amazingly, which we were happy about! It was worth what we paid and we will probably stay there again in the future!

Nicci P.

Yelp
They allow more cars than they have parking spaces. Some asshole cornered my car in since there was no where else to park. I go to the front desk and they say they're gone for a "15 minute" break but it's been much longer than 15 minutes.
google avatar

Vanessa I.

Yelp
Omg I'm not gonna lie..SF gave me a sour taste in my mouth when I witnessed a car robbery right in front of my face by Alamo Square checking out the Painted Ladies. Coming here and seeing the safer underground parking and speaking to Tony at the check in window really chilled me out lol. I felt safe in this hotel and it was super cute and cozy. I'm not SF is the place for me but it turned out okay! Also the hallways kinda looked like the shining movie hahah

Joe B.

Yelp
My sweetie and I stayed here on our anniversary trip to SF and this place was great. Tony was so friendly, absolutely great customer service! The room was super clean, with bay windows so you can get a nice cross breeze going. We had great food in the neighborhood and found a super fun and friendly karaoke bar right across the street down the block, so we were able to safely stumble less than a block home after several drinks. Overall a great stay. The only complaint is the wifi was a little spotty at night, but that may be more of the fault of the internet provider and not the hotel, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and won't dock then a star for it.

Yelp
This is a solid 4-star Motel in the Marina district of SF. Prices are very reasonable in the "off season," we got a nice room for only $106 per night. Our first room was very noisy (on Lombard) and the heater was defective, so we got moved to a different room on the "Buchanan" side of the property, which was much quieter. Nice staycation place with FREE parking.

Yelp
Staff is very nice I must give a shout out to the front desk personnel especially Carl and an older Asian gentleman who were very accommodating when I asked for a change of room very pleasant and friendly /the rooms are comfortable and everything is clean and overall the place is perfect for a night or two /the only downside is there's no refrigerators in the room and parking is a bit tight.

Yelp
We came to SF for our first family vacation and didn't reserve any place to stay but called around and this was one of the ones I felt comfortable with (price and area). Tony checked us in... he was awesome our entire stay... very nice and made sure we had good stay there... very attentive... recommend this place and we will be back here someday...

Yelp
Parking is free in a small covered lot. The check-in staff will provide you with a parking permit to place on your dashboard. The staff welcomed us with a smile and were wearing proper PPE. A good start. The door that opens to the elevator however is problematic as it does not open all the way, and they store the luggage carts adjacent to the door. Squeezing past the door into the limited space in front of the elevator is difficult with large pieces of luggage. The elevator also is a bit sketchy, as the doors open before the cab comes to a full stop. Make sure you wait a bit after the doors open before you step out. The rooms themselves are very clean. The bed is very comfortable. The internet however is nowhere near high speed. I was getting 1-2 mb/sec download speed. You'll be watching youtube at 240p. The wallpaper is also tearing off in certain areas. Check out was very straightforward.

Yelp
The hotel is clean and mostly quiet. Beds are firm but comfortable. I do not like the coffee in the restroom though.

Yelp
I stayed here for a couple of nights, while I was taking in the sites of San Fran. - Fast and easy check in and check out. - Staff is very friendly and helpful with directions. - Free parking on main level and underground. - Free Wifi, worked well for me. - Comfy bed and pillows. - Great shower lots of hot water. - No fridge, unless you ask for one at an extra charge. - Lovely decor in rooms. - Close to lots of cafes and restaurants. - 20min walk to famous Lombard street tourist spot. - 30min walk to Fisherman's wharf area. Comfortable and quite stay, I recommended it.

Yelp
First time staying here. I'm from Los Angeles. I received a curtesy call from Tony, one of the staff if I am able to make it for my reservation. Because I will be charged if I don't cancel. I was running late and he was willing to wait even though he was about to get off. Very nice staff. Walking distance to variety of restaurants/bars. FREE PARKING!!! Free Wi-fi Comfortable bed.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! I REPEAT!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! THERE ARE TONS OF HOTELS/ MOTELS IN THIS AREA!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! THIS MANAGER WILL TRY TO FLEECE YOU!!! I made a reservation at this hotel on Monday night, 3 nights ago, in person on the telephone. I was given the rate of 115 per night for 3 nights. I was given a confirmation number: CR18395. I can't remember if I was asked to put my credit card down or not. When I arrived, they said that I did not have a reservation and that the reservation I had was canceled. A sweet and pleasant man, Vince, rebooked my reservation for 3 nights at the rate he gave me over the phone. I was on a work call this morning and was rudely called twice by the Manager: David Lim. He was yelling on the phone and said I did not have a credit card on file even though I checked in the night before and used my credit card to pay for the room for three nights. I went to the front desk and this insanely rude and overly hostile Manager, David Lim then informed me that bc I didn't have a credit card on file, that he was increasing my rate from 115 to 188 per night. I said that that was ridiculous and he basically said that it was my fault that the rate went up despite the fact that I had a confirmation number over the phone that I memorized. He obnoxiously yelled over and and over that I should have known better and should have secured the reservation with a credit card. I demanded my original rate and then he kicked me out. This is serious price gouging and David Lim should be fired and never allowed to work in hospitality again. I had to carry heavy electronics/work stuff all day and had no where to put my stuff since I couldn't check in another hotel for 4 hours. I walked a half a block up the street and was able to get a room on this very busy Easter weekend for 50 dollars less a night. David Lim egregiously upped my rate for no reason and should never be allowed to use his power hungry attitude to scare consumers. Go to the Motel Capri or the many other motels in the area. I will call his corporate manager and also inform the Better Business Bureau of this guy's business tactics. Do not stay here!!!!!

Yelp
My daughter and I spent three nights here. I primarily picked this place due to the free parking, low cost and closeness to the sites. We took Uber a couple of times for $7 to Union. We stayed in room 214 and although it wasn't directly facing Lombard St, we were one room off Lombard and facing Buchanan. The traffic is loud, so if you are a light sleeper, you will not want a room close to Lombard. The rooms were clean, but floors and bedding look dated. I didn't really care for the top cover blankets. If you are looking for an inexpensive, free parking and in a decent neighborhood hotel, then this works.

Yelp
What else do you need except a comfortable bed & free parking in San Francisco? The location is excellent as it's only a few MUNI stops away from Fisherman's Wharf. I took the MUNI everywhere around town. The place is only 2 blocks away from Union street lined with cafes & restaurants. If you are a simple traveler just looking for a comfortable & clean place to rest your head, then look no further. Now, if you are need a business center, a gym, room service, etc. Then, look elsewhere. I highly highly recommend staying here, as there's nothing that beats free parking at a hotel in San Francisco; unless you want to shell out $60/day to park.

Yelp
For the location and cost of other hotels, this hotel gets 4 stars. We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting San Fran. The rooms are old/outdated but still clean enough. There is no mini fridge. It's about 10 min from Alcatraz, 15 min from union square. There was also plenty of food choices in walking distance. The hotel offers free parking for guests which is the main reason we picked this hotel. We left our car there basically the whole time and took Uber's or walked to where we needed to go. Overall good place to stay. Would stay again based on price
