I really wanted to love this place. I was greeted by a girl sitting down eating. The menu looks great! The 3.50 bottomless coffee, not so much. The 12$ burger with salad? Eh. The burger was ordered well done, it was, it was also very dry. Very hard to eat. The toppings were different peanut butter cream cheese, bacon, and a grape jam. I really wanted to love it. I liked the greens and the dressing they used. Which was obscured in the greens themselves. Unbeknownst to me. Maybe I’d order something different next time? I’d give it another try

This is by far the best place I have ever eaten. My favorites are the Duck Confit and there pancakes! We have been there half a dozen times so far and the food is absolutely a 5 star for a low price. Let me tell you, I have been to a lot of expensive restaurants and this tops them all.

This is place is a gem! Our food was fantastic. We came in for brunch and ordered the cinnamon donuts ("holes") with caramel sauce (a special). They were served hot out of the fryer and dipped in ample cinnamon and sugar. These were a true treat! My husband ordered the farmers breakfast (eggs, bacon, potatoes, and roast with a side of apple butter). He said that the fried potatoes were some of the best that he's ever had!!! (He orders these everywhere and makes these at home). I had the savory french toast. The salad it was served with was fabulous. The restaurant itself looks like a quirky coffee shop (although it's a full service restaurant). Parts of the building remind me of a true old barn, although it's part of the historic downtown. The bathrooms are worn and quirky (ex. Separate hot and cold taps). There is so much about this place that is immediately endearing. We really enjoyed our efficient, but friendly server Tara. I can't believe we waited so long to visit. We'll definitely be going back soon!

Cow & Quince was fantastic! They featured a very interesting and very tasty brunch special - savory french toast - that worked so well. The BLT was to die for, combining Madison Sourdough Bread and all sorts of local ingredients. To top it off, our server was so friendly and accommodating for our group of eight. I highly recommend you spending your time and money at Cow & Quince.

I want to give this 5 stars, but there were a couple things that turned me off. This toad in the hole was truly a work of art. The front ambience was amazing. Love the local food- the flavors really came through! The service was quite nice. I really didn’t like the flavor profile of the Bloody Mary, and peeking toward the back kitchen didn’t look clean or up to date. The bathroom was really old, and the sink was missing a handle even. Beautiful old building but could use a little help amazing food.

If you enjoy Farm to Table food and are close to New Glarus Wisconsin this is the place to go. The main ingredients come from a 40 mile radius of New Glarus. Between the 3 of us, we enjoyed perfectly seasoned and portioned Bisquits and Gravy and 3 Cheese And onion grilled sandwiches served with fresh cherries and yogurt. They have their own blends of teas and coffee's of which I had the later. Talk about a great cup of coffee, bold and not bitter in the least bit. When the check came it was surprisingly affordable compared to a normal restaraunt. The ladies were so friendly. Our new favorite in New Glarus!

The food was amazing and the people were very nice. Lots and lots of local food and homemade choices. Maybe my new favorite restaurant.

Cow and Quince... in downtown New Glarus and you may not know it exists even walking by with its non-descript store front. But don't be fooled, it is worth a stop and for its new, fresh take on some old standbys, such as the Toad in a Hole! I would highly, highly recommend the Truffle Shuffle. A made your way (I had sunny side up) two egg smothered in shitake mushrooms, with a wonderfully light summer salad, two pieces of smoked bacon with parmesan and delicious toast. I also highly recommend the Savory French Toast! A really, really thick piece of french toast with a lightly sauted kale in a ceamy white sauce with a delicious pork belly slab! Oh so yummy! Definitely a hidden gem in New Glarus!
