Ive been to this pub twice now, stayed o/night both times. The rooms are clean and functional with tv, fans and aircons. The first time I had the chicken parmy for dinner. Its huge and delicious, but be warned, it could easily feed two. Seeing the look on peoples faces when they see it placed in front of them is a local sport. The second stay I had the seafood basket, also a larger size meal and of good quality. I have always been made to feel welcome. Ps. A small footnote, if you don't like swearing don't sit with the locals in the smoking area. Fortunately for me I've been known to suffer from the occasional bout of tourette's syndrome. (No disrespect intended to anyone with actual tourette's )

Great pub in a awesome location. Wish I could say I'd be back, but I've no idea when. Beers are super cold.

Friendly and welcoming staff and high quality pub grub! We had lunch there and the food was very fresh and tasty. The burgers were delicious and the beef mince patties were freshly made by the chef. Our eldest daughter had chicken nuggets, they were massive and each nugget consisted of a real piece of chicken breast. Nice veranda to sit under out the front, but we decided to enjoy the relief of AC in the bistro. A couple of games of billiards after lunch capped of a nice relaxing experience.

Great food and lovely cold drinks on a hot day. My husband and I ordered a toasted sandwich and the beef burger. We always share and get to try two things that way. He very reluctantly handed over half of his burger, best burger ever. Service very quick and friendly ++++++

Menus at this pub have no prices. Couple specials on blackboard had prices though. There were 2 staff behind counter but none was interested in taking my order, doing some cleaning instead. Bought "Wrapped fish and chips" from specials, thinking it was fish wrapped in pastry or maybe banana leaf and then cooked. Waiter brought me take away fish and chips, wrapped in paper, ready to go ( which I didn't request), no cutlery, no serviettes. Great, maybe just call it " Take away fish and chips" then? "Wrapped" is a bit confusing. Fish was below average, batter was sticky and full of oil. The good part - they had lovely live music.

My wife and I called in for lunch and were very impressed. Staff and locals were very friendly and the Cow Bay burgers we had were fantastic! Massive burgers with everything on them. Didn't need dinner! Great little Aussie pub. Will definitely call in again. Thanks guys!

I had dinner at the pub. I have only experienced such trashy food and service once before this, and that was in the middle of nowhere, where I expected it. Culturally intolerant - as in, if you are not local, do not expect to be served properly. The food was tasteless and cold, even though they took over an hour to prepare it. I asked one of the staff politely if everything is ok with my food, and the staff member rolled her eyes and snapped at me "IF YOU HADN'T NOTICED, WE ARE BUSY!"... I looked around to find that no, they were not busy - perhaps they were surprised at having more than five people come to the pub at once. Every drink bought at the bar was waiting for then to serve every local before my friends and I, even though we got to the bar first or joined lines. Disgraceful. Be warned everyone - you would be better of eating the leaves in the Daintree Rainforest than coming here.
