Highly Recommend Cowfish for Your Wedding! Leading up to our wedding day, working with Lauren and Marinna was an absolute pleasure. Their communication was excellent from start to finish — always available to chat, answer questions, or meet in person. They went over every detail multiple times and checked in as the big day got closer, which made the planning process so smooth and stress-free. Unfortunately, a Nor’easter hit the weekend of our wedding, so all of our outdoor plans had to change at the last minute. The team handled everything seamlessly — they had even taken care of reserving a tent so we could stay outside, but when the Town of Southampton didn’t approve the permit due to high winds, they quickly pivoted to Plan C and moved everything indoors. Despite the storm, the day was still absolutely magical. Even though Marinna (my main contact) was unexpectedly out sick that day, Mags and the General Manager, stepped right in and were incredible. Both of them and the rest of the staff were so kind, accommodating, and professional — they truly made me feel comfortable and at ease the entire day. The food was phenomenal (our guests are still raving about it!) and the location is just unbeatable. Rain or shine, Cowfish provided the perfect setting for an unforgettable wedding. I can’t recommend this venue enough! Love Samantha & Kevin Monahan

Google
Great location! Nice vibes. Waiter was a bit overwhelmed he took a while to bring the beer we ordered after our cocktails arrived. Otherwise, we would definitely do a do over. Love the ambiance and the atmosphere.

Google
Giving this place 4.5 stars. It’s a charming waterfront spot with a great atmosphere. Overall, the food was good, and we definitely plan to return. The reason for the half-star deduction is that the cornbread arrived 3 min after we ordered, obviously it had been precooked. While it tasted good, it was warm almost room temp. The rice that came with my tuna was also at room temp. Wasn’t sure if this is intentional but it felt a bit off. Our server didn’t check in during the meal so we didn’t get a chance to ask. That said, the flavors were excellent, and their sauces were unique and tasty.

We visited Cowfish for the first time to have lunch. Waiter Joe was very pleasant and informative. Food was very good, and dessert was delicious. We will return in the future.

Google
Beautiful spot in Hampton bays. Packed and great views. The service was good. The menu was somewhat limited and the best part were the seafood apps of shrimp and lobster filled mushrooms. The main courses included fluke, salmon and salads were good but nothing stood out much. In all a great spot for drinks and apps but for a real dinner restaurant it was unfortunately short on that part.

Google
Very chill but nice restaurant worth going to. The cornbread is the highlight of the meal, highly recommend getting it as an appetizer. Ceviche of the day was fantastic, as well as the lobster roll (though expensive). Both burgers were really good as well, and the brussel sprouts make a great side instead of the fries which were good but nothing too special. Drinks were great and had free refills for iced tea. Skillet cookie is a must try. Definitely recommend trying this, and make sure you get a good variety of food!!

Google
Again one of those restaurants that is overrated by people mixing food quality with restaurant vibe. The restaurant vibe and atmosphere was very nice but that was not the only reason I went there. Food from appetizers to main dish were pretty poor quality. The worst issue was that it was not freshly made and it was obvious that the food was prepared in advanced and warmed up at the time of the order. I can’t imagine for that size of restaurant unless staffed accordingly if there is another way to make it work. Drinks were also nothing special. My cocktail was just crushed ice with a bit of the mix! Prices were definitely for an upscale restaurant.

Google
So last night i decided to bring my whole family to this magical place. My in law’s parents and my family. The Food the service the atmosphere was perfect. Our server Carmen the manager Jason. Unbelievable customer service. I just don’t know what to say other than you have to try this place out. The food was cooked to perfection. Huge compliment to the chefs. The whole team is amazing. I will come back atleast 1 time per month. It felt like a vacation.

Yelp
Haven't been for a couple of years and as it was a gorgeous day and I felt like an outdoor libation out in the Hamptons . The bar outside is a huge rectangle bar right on the water . There's boats galore , tons of friendly people and terrific bartenders . Had some Buffalo shrimp ands perfectly made Martini and just had a chill afternoon . The restaurant is top notch and there is even a little ferry that can take you to Rumba their sister location . No Alec Baldwin or Jerry Seinfeld sightings but still .... Place is great all around . What are you waiting for ?? Let the stress melt away !!

Yelp
Great staff, very good food, one of the nicest outside spaces on Long Island, but a few accessibility issues. Accessibility wise: no van parking, but the parking staff did make us one. The bathrooms are a little tight and the entrance has a short, steep ramp that my scooter got stuck on. Easy rolling otherwise. We really enjoyed our experience here.

Yelp
This place is one of the most popular spots in Hampton Bays. Loves: + the burgers are the best value on the menu (which range from salads to asian-inspired dishes to sandwiches) + beautiful views right near the water + valet parking + friendly staff + popular spot for special events Due to the popularity of the restaurant, resys are highly recommended. If you cannot get one, walk-ins for small groups are still doable as they have first-come, first-served bar seating on the ground and top floors. Good luck and enjoy!

Yelp
Had a great time here for my friend's birthday. Our waitress was friendly and even referred us to a bar for after dinner. All of the staff were on top of it for our big group of 16. The food was fresh and the drinks were smooth. The only negative I'd callout was the dessert. We got 2 cookie skillets which were a bit undercooked; granted the restaurant was closing and we were still seated.

Yelp
Absolutely best location, who would of known. Decades in Hampton Bays without knowing about this place. Worth a visit, choose a time you probably don't have to wait to enjoy it more. The grounds and view are spectacular. Good choices on the menu. Comfortable seating with good acoustics conducive to conversation with a warm ambiance. The deserts are spectacular.

Yelp
We went to cowfish there Friday after Thanksgiving.. we had a 7pm reservation for 6. It was very busy and we had to wait for a table but I will emphasize the the manager great care of our table and we were very happy. We sat by the bar in the back. (I say this because I forgot my waitresses name and if Cornish reads this, they will figure out who she was). I don't usually forget, so I apologize to her. Our waitress took amazing care of our table, knowing his long we waited. Her service was to notch and everything came out in sequence with no feel of being rushed at all. We had the Buffalo chicken, Brussels sprouts as parties. They were amazing and the shrimp were huge and on fire! We also had the roasted Brussels sprouts, spinach artichoke dip and the garlic humus. All apps were full of flavor and enjoyed by all. For dinner we had 2 orders of the Nola Shrimp which looked amazing and was enjoyed! We also had 2 orders of the NY step which was cooked and tasted to perfection. I kept mine simple and ordered their burger which was huge and delicious. The best of all, we got as a side their huge oversized loaded baked potatoes!!!!!!! OMG the potatoes were just unbelievable!!!! Huge, delicious filled with bacon cheese and sour cream!! Thank you Cornish for making our night a success and again I apologize for not remembering our name (she also works at the animal hospital in Riverhead.... That should help). If I find out her name, I will update this Review. Also, sorry that I don't take pictures tonight, I was too busy eating!!

This restaurant has it all! Beautiful view. courteous staff and amazing food. Kid friendly and warm environment.

Yelp
We had a delicious meal at Cowfish the other day. We didn't have any appetizers so we jumped right into the entrees and drinks. My husband's rum lunch and my Malibu bay breeze were great. Needed a little mixing but we enjoyed them nonetheless. My rotisserie chicken was fantastic. I loved the sauce that came with it, as with my husband's steak. It was a special so it's not always offered on the menu. A perfect sunny night at a restaurant on the water with family. What can beat that?!

Yelp
We went on a Saturday for brunch and there was no wait. The view was amazing, right by the water. We started with a clam chowder to share, you can tell it was just sitting in the pot -it came lukewarm. But the flavor was good. I got the Gibbs Burger and my bf got the fish of the day (pan fried fluke) I really liked his fish, thought my burger was just a burger nothing special (I've had better burgers) We also got a side of mushrooms and they were wayyyy too salty (not sure if it was an accident) but could not finish it. Overall, I liked how it was on the water and the food was good - but enjoyed the view more than the food
google avatar

Hoa L.

Yelp
The view is amazing and the restaurant is so bright and cheery. We came here for a light dinner mainly to enjoy the views and also try some of the food. The prices are rather high although the food tasted very good. It felt fancy but the food was fairly basic with many entrees priced over $30 for the more complicated items. We just felt like having a rest and enjoying some local dishes. Often they require reservations or they are very busy so we were lucky to be able to walk-in. However, we were told that we could not stay more than an hour or so because another group was coming in with reservations. I didn't have an issue with that as they were accommodating us despite having a reservation. This restaurant is definitely the place to come to enjoy seeing the Bay.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant overlooking the Bay--perfect for brunch, dinner, or drinks! Ambiance & Service: The outdoor seating by the water is stunning, but the indoor dining was affected by bugs. Flies inside impacted our dining experience. Service was friendly and very attentive! Food: - Skillet Cornbread: A must-order! Perfectly sweet and crispy. Jalapeños baked inside add great flavor without too much spice. - Benedict: Tasty but a bit too rich for my taste. - Iron Skillet Cookie: Absolutely divine--warm, gooey choco chip cookie with ice cream and caramel! TL;DR: Gorgeous Bay views and great service. Try to eat outside. Don't miss the cornbread and skillet cookie!

Yelp
This place was the perfect spot! Had such an amazing experience here. We had a reservation for 7 and were seated right away. We came at around 9pm and the atmosphere was so nice! The restaurant is located by the pier and at night had beautiful lighting and live music playing. Me and my girls came for a night out on a bachelorette trip and the staff were so attentive and friendly. I had the Lobster Roll and it was amazing! So fresh and delicate and it was huge! And the fries were thin and crispy. We all ordered drinks and they came out quickly and before our food came. Will definitely be coming here again shortly and would definitely recommend if you are in the area or thinking about planning a trip here! The perfect place!

Yelp
Really wanted to give more stars for this restaurant but one thing after another happened and just did not think it was up to par for a 5 Star rating unfortunately. Our table we had when we finally were able to sit was outside on a very nice patio/ deck setting looking out into some form water. We had a 9:30pm reservation and did not get seated till closer to 10pm due to the party that was at our table just would not leave. We went to the bar outside to get drinks while waiting and our bartender did not seem like the nicest out of the bunch. I had a pimms type drink and for the price it was it did not taste all that great. It was too sweet for my liking. When we finally got seated and ordered food all of our dishes came out accept for one other burger dish. Alot of us got burgers.. we had to ask two people about her dish. Our waitress had made a mistake and forgot to put her order in. The kitchen had to like restart the grill to finally bring her dish out.. meanwhile all of us were all done with our meals! Another drink that I had was an espresso martini and not sure what it was but it tasted kind of watery and it was not maybe shaken long enough to get that foam at top that most espresso martinis have. I got a burger with cheese and it comes with fries. The burger was nothing special... maybe it would have had better/more taste if I had a pickle and tomatoe on it. Well as our waitress brought out the dishes she said how my tomatoe and pickle slid off and how she would bring me some. I said it was fine.. I thought she would still bring it over .. but guess not. Anyways, everyone else in the party enjoyed their food and drinks. The ribs I was told were very tasty! We got two on the house desserts due to the mix up of the missing burger. Which was a nice gesture.. and her meal was comped. This place is a very happening night spot and I know it was busy and a holiday weekend but as you can see our service could have been a ton better.

Yelp
Such an honor to write the 1,000th review for Cowfish, an absolute jewel of the Hamptons! Beautifully situated at waters edge, the incredible atmosphere is matched by the consistently outstanding food. Our favorite starters include skillet cornbread unmatched anywhere, crispy Brussels Sprouts & delicious truffle fries. It's always a pleasure visiting Cowfish. Even when we stray from our usual dishes (especially the blackened fish sandwich!) we know we're not going to go wrong. There isn't going to be a badly done dish here. They're THAT good. Service is always attentive & friendly. Even the valets are highly professional; no detail is missed. If you're in the Hampton Bays area, Cowfish is a must-visit!

Yelp
Vibes immaculate, food mid for the price. The restaurant is set in this little house overlooking the bay, with grounds surrounding. We were able to seat 9 for a birthday dinner with advanced notice, and sat in a covered top deck. There was a live band playing below for the vibe, but not too loud thankfully! While the food was decent, it was kinda boring and didn't wow me for the price. The highlight of the evening was definitely the jalepeno (not spicy) cornbread with butter - our table devoured two! After dinner, we walked to the open air and seating bar to jam with the band, play some cornhole, take pictures, and people watch. A lovely way to end the day. Logistics: - reservations recommend - indoor and outdoor seating - valet parking, but small lot so carpool or Uber if possible! - limited vegetarian options

Yelp
Such a cute little spot on the water. The staff here are welcoming and sat us right away. This place has 2 outdoor patios (one covered, on The ribs here are spectacular. I think it rivals the ribs at East Hampton Grill. 10/10 The lobster roll is pretty good (better than Lunch) 7.5/10 Mags took good care of us. She was so nice and friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The desserts sound unreal. The chocolate chip skillet cookie is something I would consider breaking my diet for. I look forward to coming back here again.

Ahiliya N.

Yelp
3.5 This was such a cute spot on the water for a big birthday dinner! It took a few minutes for our table for 11 to be set up, but we had a nice spot upstairs on the patio. We split some salads and the cornbread (absolutely delicious) as our appetizers, and we all got separate meals for our entree. I thought my salmon over spaghetti squash was cooked well but lacked a lot of flavor. We tried the ceviche, which was new on the menu, and we really did not like it. When we told the server, he was very kind about taking it off our menu and taking our feedback. One low point was that I think there was some miscommunication regarding part of our order, and one of the servers made a bit of a big deal about it, and we had to wait 20 mins for the lobster roll, which we still had to pay for. Overall, I think it was a good experience for the view and the vibe, but I wouldn't go back for the food.

Marisa B.

Yelp
The staff did an outstanding job from start to finish with service, quality of food, set-up, etc for our wedding. Nothing was left to chance. Cowfish didn't just look at our wedding as another wedding to handle, but made us feel like they was personally part of it. They made sure we were happy and taken care of, and took ALL the stress out for us from the months, and days leading up to it to the day of. Nothing was left out. We can say without a doubt if it wasn't for the staff our wedding wouldn't have been so special and perfect. We asked for an intimate, classy, but casual day with our closest friends and family and it was executed perfectly. All our guests were raving about the restaurant and the food! I think you may have gained some new forever clients.

Yelp
This is my second time there since I went back to an omnivore diet. Their filet with chimichurri was phenomenal, the potato was fantastic, and the North Fork salad was so good that I could've eaten the whole portion by myself (I had to share, though, haha). Danielle, our waitress, was great and very attentive to our needs. The environment is good, but I feel like they need to expand
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Unusual location. Cowfish is tucked away in a Marina. For me, this is usually a red flag that means everything is deep fried and the staff look like pirates. Not here! Ambiance is wonderful, views are terrific and the staff are friendly and professional. The menu is interesting and eclectic. I started with a Manhattan, which was outstanding. Then, chowder which arrived room temp (way too cool) This was corrected with speed and zero hassle. Once warmed, it was delicious. The menu brags "a reuben like no other" TRUTH! It was tasty without the usual grease and bread breaking slop usually associated with a reuben. Truly delicious! Overall, I loved cowfish. I'll be back!

Yelp
Went for lunch with a friend. Great staff. Amazing view. Will be back 100 times. The staff is accommodating and drop dead beautiful

Yelp
Although I've lived in the area my whole life, this past weekend was my first time eating at cowfish. It was my friend's birthday and we made a reservation for 6pm. The table wasn't ready at reservation time, so we hung out at the bar for 40 minutes. I got a specialty margarita and it was so good. Once we were seated, dinner went smoothly. Our server was very sweet and kind. The food was delicious! They even had a bonfire out back. We sat back there for a while and enjoyed the night. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

Deirdre A.

Yelp
SO YUMMY!!! Food was excellent, pricing was super fair (which sometimes is difficult to come across for the hamptons, especially in a place with such GORGEOUS ambiance!!) we were able to secure a walk-in on an evening that it was absolutely pouring rain, but it was absolutely stunning and if it wasn't pouring rain, we would've totally taken advantage of their beautiful outdoor seating after our meal. They even had a cute little playground for kids, and the setting overlooking the water was absolutely stunning. Our server was wonderful as well!!!! Absolutely one of my favvvv meals of the summer!!!!

Maddie O.

Yelp
We came here for dinner for my moms birthday. We had a nice table looking right over the water and boats. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were so kind. The food was superb. I had a north fork salad with the cooked mahi. It was one of the best salads I have had all year. I also had a blackberry gin spritz drink that really complimented the meal. For dessert the delicious creme brulee. Thank you so much it was a great time had and we will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Ordinary food, worse service. Not a restaurant you want have dinner at Hampton Bays. The restaurant at the Hampton Maid Inn has high quality food, good price, and excellent service.
google avatar

Yelp
Bar area is cool with the outside corn hole area. Drinks are good, want to go back and try their food. The atmosphere is what made this place cool and enjoyable. Perfect for a first date or to just grab drinks. The rum boar was super neat too! Staff was nice and friendly
google avatar

Jolie S.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of their sister restaurant Rumba and decided to finally give Cowfish a try. They did not disappoint. First off, the view of the marina was incredible and added to the atmosphere. Our waitress Selena was very attentive and answered any questions that we had... I started with the hummus appetizer and it tasted incredibly fresh with the naan bread being nice and hot. My dinner was the seared Ahi tuna! It was unbelievable. Cooked to perfection and delicious. We will definitely return!

Yelp
FALL RESTAURANT WEEK REVIEW 2023 I have to give it to Cowfish, they offered a very good meal for Long Island Restaurant week. When I made the reservation, I was asked if I'd like to sit in the dining room or bar area. To sit upstairs with live music and water views, sure its louder than the dining room but Mamma that's where the fun is! Oh, No Valet during the winter? Huzza! We're brought upstairs to a cool looking bar and take our seats. We ordered some damn good cocktails while we chose off the restaurant week menu. Homemade Clam Chowder and fresh Cod for my entree. The New England clam chowder, it was very good. Loaded with fresh clams and large potato chunks, this was a great starter what's coming next. My Cod, I could taste the freshness. It was a large portion of fish, I liked the cook on the top, kudos to the chef. Dessert was a hot apple crumble. Wow! Simply amazing, it was very good ending to a perfect meal. Cowfish, I thank you for a great evening and dining experience.

Yelp
This is the best happy hour in all of Hampton Bays. Came here at 5 pm on a Wednesday and sat at Cowfish's outdoor bar to enjoy half off appetizers and signature margaritas. The happy hour also features discounted wines and half priced rum punch, if margaritas aren't your thing. Our bartender Edward was friendly and service was prompt. It was honestly impressive to see him serve not only a full bar but outdoor tables as well. This place really has happy hour service down to a science. Everything we ordered was well made and came out quickly. We never had to flag down a server. The classic margarita is refreshing and tarte, as they use their own house made sour mix. While we were sitting at the bar we noticed a giant jug filled with liquid that had vegetables in it like pickles, onions, and peppers. When we asked about it, Edward gave us a sample and told us it's for bloody mary's. It was absolutely delicious, I can only imagine how out of this world bloody mary's probably are at this place during brunch if they're using this vodka infusion. We ordered the buffalo shrimp and pork belly appetizers. Edward recommended adding another shrimp to our order so we could each have three, which was very reasonable to do (just an extra $1.75). The buffalo shrimp were jumbo sized came with just the right amount of fresh blue cheese. The pork belly was juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, with a refreshing chimichurri sauce. The entire bill was under $40 which was absolutely shocking given the area. The views were also beautiful. Truly a perfect happy hour.

Yelp
Service was great and Idea of mixing cow and fish was not it. Place was clean and everyone was nice it was just the food that seemed off and just doesn't fit my wheel house. But I'm sure there are people out there that will love this. Just going off the food would have been a 2 but the service was top top 10 moving it up to a 3!
google avatar

Yelp
Sat in the upstairs bar area. Both had the fish, fries and slaw, so delicious cleaned our plates. Staff was friendly and service was very quick.
google avatar

Arianna Z.

Yelp
Shout out to Derrick, the general manager and two of his most fantastic waiters, Eric and Anthony. Not only does this place have a beautiful, unimaginable, incomparable, ambience, but the service truly makes this place unparalleled to any other. The attention to detail, and customer service takes the cake. If that's not enough of a reason to come here then allow me to introduce you to the Summer Kale salad! If you think I left here without the recipe in hand so I could master this creation to have on a daily basis, you'd be mistaken. Send your tastebuds on a refreshing adventure and try this one!

Yelp
We always have a great time here! Frank is great and the food is great! The staff is awesome. See you soon!

Yelp
Last visit to cowfish: Went to cowfish for my anniversary dinner. My husband and I come every year and we always have a great experience, but this time was a little different. The dinner and drinks were excellent, but we were not happy with the waitress charging us for extras without our consent. My husband got the veal special which came with lettuce on the side. When my husband asked if he could change the side she said he could substitute it for something else. When we got the bill we saw that the chaged us and extra $12 for a baked potato side. Also, I ordered a steak and the waitress asked if I wanted my steak sauce on side. I had no idea it was $5 extra until I got the bill. Overall, we had a great experience but sadlyI do not think that we will be back. I think it is very dishonest to charge people for things without letting them know it is extra.

Yelp
Best food and atmosphere in the Hamptons. Try the Brussels sprouts and the fish sandwich.

Yelp
Total surprise by this place I didn't know anything about. My friend told me it's a good seafood place if I am in this area. I was on my way to Hampton from the city and stopped by. It exceeded my expectations. Not just the flavorful dishes, but the friendly service and the views are exceptional! We started with crispy Brussels & buffalo shrimp. They are excellent. Hard to pick which I liked better. Then we had cod & salmon. Finish with banana cream pie & pecan apple tart. I enjoyed every dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant. Make sure to make a reservation!

Russ C.

Yelp
If you find yourself in the Hampton Bays area, you MUST make plans to dine at Cowfish! Myself and two buddies were in town for the Ryder Cup and staying in Hampton Bays. We read the great reviews for Cowfish, and brother, we were not disappointed! Our server Jillian was absolutely wonderful, and the manager, Jason, made it a point to come and speak with us, knowing we were in town for the Ryder Cup, and made us feel so welcome. The food was outstanding....the wedge salad, clam chowder, salmon, scallop special, and banana crème pie...all phenomenal!! And you just can beat the view from the dining room. I would love to come back one more night before we leave, it was that good.

Yelp
Cowfish is worth going for the lovely waterfront ambiance. The staff were friendly. We were accommodated with no problems. I ordered the jumbo Buffalo shrimps. They were jumbo indeed! It comes with three shrimps but I paid $3.50 for an extra shrimp, thinking that it would be too small of a deal. I was wrong! Those shrimps were jumbo. It was a bit too spicy for my tasting. The blackened mahi sandwich was okay. I didn't like the regular buns that came with it. It seemed like a regular sandwich to me. The cole slaw needed salt and black pepper. My friends ordered the market place salmon (worth it for $30 price), the rotisserie (huge portion, moist and delicious), and the mussels (she licked the plate (figuratively)). The drinks did look good. I was too dehydrated from drinking too much earlier, I didn't get to try their drinks. Overall, great vibe.

Yelp
Came here for a birthday celebration. Although it was slightly hard to locate the restaurant off of the main road, the location is stunning both inside and out. The outdoor dining options seemed beautiful and they're family friendly with a small jungle-gym outside. As the group was taking pictures, the hostess held the table until they were done which was very kind. We had no issues with service the whole time. The food was good! Especially the end cookie that came as a part of the birthday celebration! We would gladly come again!

Yelp
The views. The views. The views. Coming from NYC, I am used to a wait and for the first time in my life, I was upset we had a reservation. Walk-ins are able to take advantage of the waterfront views and Adirondack chairs as the sun sets. All jokes aside, the portions were huge and the salmon was incredibly fresh.

Mary D.

Yelp
I like the shrimp, cocktail and cheeseburgers. The ambiance is nice there also, the wine is very good there.

Yelp
Fresh slaw, Mahi Mahi and bun for lunch. Was hankering another fish sandwich and decided to go off the beaten path on our drive back to the city and glad we did. Hit the spot. Take our was fast. The restaurant looks so cozy on the harbor.
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
Cowfish would've had a beautiful view of the harbor if Hampton Bays had not been completely socked in the night we dined there. After passing children playing on the pirate ship structure outside, we headed inside for our reservation. Service was friendly and swift. For dinner we shared a Skillet Cornbread (honey butter) before our entrees arrived: Danish Baby Back Ribs (house-made BBQ sauce, coleslaw, fries), and a Cowfish Burger (cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, mustard, bibb lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, fries). The burger was slightly rarer than requested, but was otherwise solid. The BBQ sauce was delicious, though the coleslaw could've used a bit more pep. The fries were terrific. Overall, seems like a nice spot and since we were there pre-season and the place was relatively full, I imagine it's jampacked during the season.

Yelp
The Buffalo shrimp is different but delicious. I love it. I will go back just for it. Their brussels sprouts are amazing as well.

Yelp
I've always heard nothing but great things about Cowfish, and last night I had the pleasure of witnessing it for my self. I started the evening with twenty rows cabernet and buffalo shrimp= the perfect starter. Followed by a warm delicious corn bread. For my entree I had the rotisserie chicken with Brussels sprout hashed ( phenomenal). For dessert we split the banana cream pie and the delicious sundae. I cannot wait to come back. Beautiful ambience and service. Truly perfection!!!

Yelp
This place is in a beautiful spot. We did not eat dinner. We just came for drinks. Decent mindless and fun cocktails and the ambience and setting is really beautiful. Definitely want to go back to try the food!

Food is great! The vibe is so fun, and the service is fast and reliable. We love it even in the off season!

Yelp
This was my second visit to Cowfish in Hampton Bays, and once again, it did not disappoint. I was lucky enough to have the same waitress as my first time--Gabby--who is just as friendly, attentive, and on point as I remembered. She made the whole experience even better. The food? Outstanding. I had the swordfish special, and it was perfectly cooked--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. I also tried a new cocktail called the Lavender Bee's Knees, and it was to die for. Light, floral, and refreshing--it might be my new favorite drink. The overall vibe of the restaurant is relaxing yet upscale, with an atmosphere that's definitely above par for the area. I also noticed the two managers, both expecting (congrats to them!), and a male maître d' in a sharp blazer who was super professional and welcoming. You can tell the staff here really cares about hospitality. Cowfish is officially a go-to spot for me now--great food, great drinks, great people, and a great setting.

Yelp
And it came to pass that we made our annual journey out East -to the Hampton- to visit old friends who moved their home's out there. There were six of us, three old fashioned, traditional couples, each consisting of a male & a female. The meeting spot was Cowfish in Hampton Bays. The traffic on 27a-Montauk Hwy, was slow and tedious, so we were late. We valet parked. Our friends were at the bar. They gave us a table on floor two on the veranda, open to the outside, but covered. It was good, but it was noisy. A table of young (in their twenties) ladies was nearby. They sounded like a gaggle of geese. We ordered. It was typical casual restaurant menu. I ordered a burger with bacon & fries. Others ordered fish or veggie meals, I didn't really take note. Food came out pretty quickly. We scarfed and drank and chatted about nothing in particular. The bill came. We split three ways. It was painless. So there you have it: food OK, price OK, service OK. See you next year.
