This Is the Hops Capital of the United States

"You’ll see rolling hills in the distance and a view of the hops on-site from the edge of the taproom’s large outdoor space. The brewery uses estate-grown hops in its lineup of seven beers and serves a full food menu on-site with a focus on farm-grown and locally sourced ingredients to pair with your brew." - Molly Allen

My wife and I with two friends decided to have lunch here and burgers was outstanding. The beers was great. The outside atmosphere was to die for one of the best places we have been so far.

I've been to this spot a few times now, and every single visit has been a hit, the beer, food, and service are consistently excellent. Yesterday, I stopped by during their Just Peachy event, and wow, I'm still dreaming about it. They had a seasonal peach beer and a peach burrata dish that was, without exaggeration, the best thing I've eaten in years. The balance and complexity of the flavors were absolutely perfect, fresh, bright, savory, and sweet in all the right ways. It was one of those rare dishes that leaves a lasting impression. I genuinely can’t stop thinking about it and already want to go back. Major props to the kitchen and the creative minds behind the menu!

Google
OK. Seriously. My husband says all burgers are created equal. Until we had a burger from CCBC. We drove here from Hermiston. 2 hours. We'd come back. It's that good. Amelia was an amazing wait staff. The place is homey and comfy. The food smells like everything they put in it is home made and home grown. Great vibes. Great service. Great food. Don't miss out. Life's too short.

Google
Great spot! Beautiful views with a big, dog friendly lawn. It's awesome seeing how this place has grown the last several years. The lobster roll counter had me laughing but I understand now - they were so good and had so much lobster. The rolls themselves were delicious and you could really taste the garlic and butter. The only thing that I didn't care for was the kids burger. I would assume well done would be default for the kids menu and it had a fair bit of pink so that's something to clarify when ordering. The beers are solid, I had the guava sour and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Would definitely recommend.

Google
The beer was great. Food was equally delicious. She had the salad with prawns. Large and delicious. The Smokejumper burger was really good. The meat made of ground chuck and brisket made for a tasty meal.

Google
Stopped in here for lunch and let me tell you it was awesome. We shared the wings, with a dry rub and the Heirloom Tomatoes & Burrata. Both were sooo good that we couldn't stop eating them! The wings were perfectly cooked with a little crunch and the tomatoes had an amazing flavor. We also tried the Apple cider and blueberry cider. Both were delicious! Highly recommend this place!

Google
We love this place. Everytime were in town we stop in. The burgers are delicious and the heirloom buriatta is the best although It's seasonal. The only down fall is the yellow jackets the swarm the outside areas in peak summer and they can be really bad. There is a small indoor seating area that escapes that issue. They have a great brewery as well.

Google
This is a lovely out of the way Brewery. I sampled the first five IPAs down their list. Tiny Dog was my favorite by far. Delicious. Then I had the kids burger with fries and spouse had the blue and black burger. The fries were outstanding. Crispy and not greasy. Both burgers were great.

Yelp
Amazing view overlooking the slopes with open air seating Loved the food options too. Very hearty food

Yelp
We both ordered drinks along with the North Fork Burger and the Smokejumper Burger, and absolutely loved everything -- great flavor, quality ingredients, and perfectly cooked. The outdoor seating area was really nice and made for a great atmosphere. We did try the ice cream afterward and were surprised by how disappointing it was -- it lacked flavor and had an icy texture. Still, we really enjoyed our visit overall and will definitely be back, though we'll probably save dessert for somewhere else next time.

Yelp
I was taking the scenic route from California to Washington and was spending the night outside of Naches, Washington and wanted a beer and dinner on the way. I found the Cowiche Creek Brewery on yelp and drove out into the country to find it. It was a little hard to find as the sign is small and the road up to it was dirt. I was a bit leery but persevered and found it. What a cool place up on top of a knoll with a fantastic view. You order and the find a table under a big canopy. Beer was great and so was the food. The burger, I had, was to die for. There's a big lawn, and a paved and canopied dining area. What a great designation brewery. If I lived a whole lot closer, I would spend way too much time there.

Yelp
We came as a part of a larger group. Outside seating is covered, and it looks like there is also a heater (not sure though). I did see some seating inside as well. When I looked at the menu only I didn't see many vegetarian options (salad caught my eye), but when we got there, they also offer a veggie burger with fries. The fries were excellent. The veggie burger (comes with cheese) was good, not great - but I was so excited to have the option, it was still worth it. We didn't try beer, instead opted for wine which worked just dandy. Oh and the patio IS dog-friendly - and they have the sweetest brewery dog mascot.

Debbi M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Good food. They have a very Limited menu (mostly beef). Expensive ice cream.

Yelp
Food was good, yummy messy burger. Beer is good & outside seating had a lovely view. Friendly staff.

Glenda J.

Yelp
This is one of those places you wouldn't know existed if it weren't for a recommendation. A super laid back spot with great views. Let's talk eats: Smoke Jumper Burger - USDA Prime Chuck and Brisket Burger, Buckboard Bacon, Blistered Jalapeno, Tillamook Smoked Cheddar, Sweet Onion, Arugula, Pickles, Chipotle Sauce, Fries. Scrumptious! Tieton Cider Works- Blueberry: delicious and you really taste the blueberry! Will be back!

Jonnika S.

Yelp
This place has amazing food and amazing drinks! We love going to this place because the view is astonishing and the area for the kids to play is big and open. Everyone should come here, the spicy ranch bacon burgers was one of the best things I've ever had in all of Yakima! I have only good things to say about this place! The service was also very good, the people were friendly and nice, this place is a 10/10!

Yelp
Have eaten here twice and had two different burgers Philly burger was like a Philly cheesesteak and a black and blue burger. Both were delicious and had tons of flavor I had the hazy ipa and another ipa both great beers. Beautiful drive out to the brewery and great location. The setting is beautiful and worth the drive.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
This was probably my favorite stop! It's a little ways off the main road but definitely worth the drive. I loved the farm and the view was beautiful! I had a hazy IPA that was really good, not too hoppy. I'd definitely recommend stopping here.

Yelp
What a great discovery this place is. It's off the beaten path and has kind of a winery vibe. You drive up the hill to a barn looking structure and they're brewing all sorts of beer and making food. The pilsner was a standout as well as their flagship IPA. The staff was very friendly and organized. Parking is super easy right outside. And they had very nice and clean restrooms..

Yelp
A brewery in the boonies ~ top of hill views of picturesque vineyards and orchards...but no hop field lol Northwest Hefe American Wheat 5.5% ~ needed more Hefe Farmer Way IPA 6.2% ~ thumbs up Fickle Blonde Ale 5.1% ~ refreshing while sitting outside Fun to drive to and good beer. *The BBQ food truck that day was under par/overpriced. The meat did not undergo the slow smoke simmer in result did not taste like BBQ. One bottle of sauce that tasted no different than store bought. Would not try again.

Connie G.

Yelp
We had the North Fork Burger which was delicious and flavorful. It's a nice setting out in the country and we will definitely come back!

Yelp
Cowiche creek is ten miles from nowhere in any direction, then there is doubtful sign to a dirt road going up a hill. So you turn on it and drive past a couple of farm equipment sheds until you notice that the last shed has a big lawn and a semi enclosed area with tables and a parking lot that is of full of cars. Inside the shed it's full of happy brew-hols. Woman behind the counter is cute and friendly, in fact everyone is friendly. Big board above your head chock full of delicious sounding brew and a paper menu of food, in a rack. So you order a burger and a beer and go out under the big canopy grab a table and enjoy the brew, the quiet and the view. Then you grab the burger and it's twice the burger you thought you were going to get with a big mound of salty fries. After you work your way through the food and brew, you see the sign about the live music your not going to be there for and climb back into the truck and drive away wishing you had more time. Definitely worth the ten mile drive!

Jr R.

Yelp
The food is excellent, the choice of sitting outside our inside is a very nice option. The outside dining area is well put together with no lack of seats available. a very relaxing atmosphere.
google avatar

Andria H.

Yelp
Great service, solid beer selection, better than bar food. We sat indoors and had great table service on a Thursday night. We also saw the outdoor seating with party lights and heaters - will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful setting, friendly staff, really nice selection of beers and cider! Now, for my main reason for posting a review... Good Lord, in addition to all of that, the burgers we just ate were out of this world! Quality beef, fresh buns, toppings were yummy and complimentary. The cooking crew does not take shortcuts. Care goes into the food preparation in this place. The fries were great as well! My husband and I highly recommend stopping by and giving it a chance. It's a five minute drive for us, but a true hidden gem. Worth the drive for the rest of you chumps who sadly live outside the Cowiche area! Check it out. You won't be sorry. I mean it. Peace-Out, Homies

Yelp
This is a great and unique place to have a brewery! It's off a ways from any major roads and up a hill. If it's your first time here one may wonder if an actual brewery is actually in this area. But there most certainly is! The taproom is up at the top of a hill which offers a great view. The inside of the tasting room is clean and modern and they have a beer garden if you want to call it that where you can go outside and play games. I had one of their beers here. It was the Tiny Dog Session IPA. This particular IPA has Simcoe and Citra hops to give it a strong citrus and pine flavor. Unlike many IPA's this is a session as the title of the beer says so you get a lower ABV which is 4.2%. I would love to come back again and try more of their beers and to enjoy the great views that are offered here!

Yelp
We loved this place. Good beer, great ambiance, and they've got food too. Tons of outdoor space and dog friendly. We even got to meet Tiny, the adorable brewery dog (who even has a beer named after her). We'll be back the next time we're in the area!

Jeremy D.

Yelp
Great view and great food, way to crowded now otherwise 5 star. Needs bigger bathrooms and more people serving on peak times.

Yelp
We have been hearing about this magic land out in coaching for sometime, but hadn't been able to make it out there... Until tonight! This place is located pretty deep out in the country, but it's definitely worth the drive. We ended up going on a bunch of roads that we rarely see, but at the end of them was this magical oasis! The place has tons of parking, and in the spring, summer and fall, some pretty expensive area for kids to run around. There's also a dog, how lovely black lab named tiny dog, who patrols of the property with his balls call me wanting to play! Our kids and it up throwing the ball with him for about 30 minutes, and he never tired of it. The physical brewery and area to enjoy your beverage are relatively good size. The place towards about 60 people, and has a nice array of countertop and normal height tables. They had around 10 beers and siders on top. The predominance of what they make is very Yakima-centric (read: Hoppy) with a number of ciders from local cideries. It's nice to have different options for my wife! This is one of the few breweries that I've never found a beer I don't like. Most of what the have a lot of hop character, but are never overpowering. They have limited food options but often have either a food truck or a special event where one can procure nourishment! The guys running the place are super chill and the vibe is just perfect! You owe it to yourself to check this spot out, and will probably be back within a week!

Pam R.

Yelp
Super cute brewery with a roaming dog named Tiny! The wings and beer were really delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Anne K.

Yelp
Great burgers and brews. The grilled shrimp salad was disappointing, especially for the price. I could have forgiven the 4 shrimp on the salad, but the tomatoes were not freshly cut and were soggy. And the greens need a little crispier (romaine?) lettuce to hold up the cucumbers and tomatoes. The lemon vinaigrette was bland. Staff was exceptionally friendly, courteous and accommodating. Prices are higher end, but I'd go back for a burger next time.

Ron C.

Yelp
The beer was good, the ambience and the view, and the cleanliness of the place were great. Unfortunately, the hamburger my wife and I were served was tasteless and dry. The fries were good and the weather was great the day we were there. I am only giving it three stars because of the food, but that may have been a one time occurrence. The prices of the beer and the food were at the top end.

Yelp
Cowiche Creek is a cool little hidden gem upon top of the hills, overlooking the Yakima Valley. The only thing better than the view is the BREW. Great Job Fellas

Marlin L.

Yelp
Great place. Recently stopped in and knew that it was mainly a brewery but we were pleasantly surprised by great food to go with it.

Trevor P.

Yelp
I was so impressed with this place. Great food and such a good place to have kids run around to play and make friends.

Yelp
Such a friendly place to hang out! Excellent customer service by staff. Beer is good. Ample parking. Great food!

Sandy K.

Yelp
Beautiful setting, tasty beer- finally got out to try a burger today! It wa delicious-my husband has the Highlander and I did a bacon-cheeseburger! Fries were hot, perfectly salted and their fry sauce had a great kick to it! Definitely be back out soon for a dinner and beer!
google avatar

Justin J.

Yelp
Such an awesome location! Great for large groups and kids. Beer was delicious and definitely recommend the wings!

Russ M.

Yelp
Best Burgers in Yakima, we have taken several friends to Cowiche Creek and all have commented on how great the burgers are. Also the have a great selection of beer and ciders.
google avatar

Shep G.

Yelp
Great beer and great location, what could possibly be better? Bring your own food items if you wish to stay a while, sometimes food trucks are there on the weekends. I wish I lived nearby this great brewery!

Yelp
Tiny Dog is a really great noon IPA. We showed up here on a whim I thought I knew where I was going, got swept up in Wu Tang on Spotify, and finally had to map it, which I suggest you do your first time. When we finally got here, Smokin Joe's BBQ (they only smoke when you're drinking) was serving up the smoked meats. I found my new favorite daytime IPA, had a killer brisket and the temp stayed down. It was supposed to be hot but the nice breeze on the shaded patio was perfectamente bien.

Yelp
Sitting on the couch in Ellensburg on a Sunday, early afternoon, looking for something to do. Found a brewery on yelp I had not tried so we headed south through the Yakima river canyon and meandered towards Naches and up towards Cowiche to this brewery. Not a lot going on on a Sunday afternoon but I heard it was "hopping" Saturday. It's a nice place in a good setting and most important the 2 IPAs I had were really good. Met Tiny Dog too and had to throw the ball for her a few times. I'll be back for sure. 4.6 stars (rounds up to 5) for friendly service, nice setting, casual, and good beer! The other .4 stars might have been for the bbq I missed the day before. I heard it was good too by Frog Pit BBQ ( I think) But really it was all I was looking for this Sunday afternoon.

Matt B.

Yelp
What can I say, this place is awesome. The vibe is super chill and the food is spectacular. The beer is tasty too. It's a ways out of town but we'll worth it, we'll be back.

Megan J.

Yelp
Love their beer and wings. We have family in town and try to come here when we are visiting. They have a great atmosphere and perfect for our daughter to play in the grass.

William D.

Yelp
Great brews, super friendly staff. Just a wonderful place to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere and the view with a very tasty beverage.

Yelp
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! This is the center of all things that breweries should and can be. No stone unturned

Joel M.

Yelp
Nice brewery outside of Yakima. Beautiful outdoor setting and tasty cold beer. Their menu of brats and garden veggies is nice too.
google avatar

Carol M.

Yelp
Cowiche Creek Brewing was kind enough to allow us to have our 10 year high school reunion out there. It was the PERFECT venue. Derrick was incredibly helpful throughout the process, and his staff was great. The beer is also phenomenal. They have local cider was well, which is nice for the folks who aren't fans of beer (though that's difficult for me to understand.) The planning committee had many, many compliments on the venue choice, and I definitely feel like I made the right decision going with Cowiche Creek. Thank you Derrick and crew!
google avatar

Nic J.

Yelp
Great beer. Great spot to be especially in the summer! Bring a pic-nick and play some lawn games! this place is a little out of the way but its worth the drive. Tiny Dog SIPA is a great beer low ABV big on flavor! Beers lean Hoppy (i like that) but there is cider on tap too.
google avatar

Kat C.

Yelp
Great cool place for a beer! Owner is brewing and serving the beer. Friendly staff, interesting selection of cuisine with rotating food trucks. Lots of comfortable outdoor seating, clean and inviting. And dog friendly!

Tracy H.

Yelp
As a nearby resident that is new to the area, I was excited for this brewery to open up out in the gorgeous Highland Hills. Derrick and Maria have built this place patiently over the last couple of years and since it's opening, continue to expand the offerings and hours of business. It's located on a hilltop with incredible views, great beer (and guest cider), outdoor and indoor seating, grassy recreation areas, food trucks that rotate, and live music on occasion. Best of all, the beer is priced better than most pubs and it's just....so....good... It's cool to see these two super kind, overworked, ultra-dedicated folks bring their dream into fruition!

Brian F.

Yelp
This place is great! Good beer and good atmosphere. The owners go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay, and have a really nice space to relax. The beer..,um yeah, can't say enough... so good. The cider is English style and very nice.
google avatar

Santiago M.

Yelp
This place is great, cold beer hoppy but not to bad. I went on Friday night and it's taco nights. I was very happy plus it was very close to my house.
google avatar

Vic R.

Yelp
Great beer is brewed by great people! Derrick and crew opened the brewpub with several "SOLID" brews! It's a bit out of the way but what a GREAT VIEW when you get there... 5 mountain ranges toward the west! We always bring a lawn chair because we never know if there's entertainment out on the lawn. It's okay to bring in food and food trucks are there on weekends! Keep up the good work!

Marcy S.

Yelp
Amazing food and service every time. Had the cheesecake recently for a birthday and I will definitely be having more of that!! Food is presented amazing and the flavors are combined perfectly.
