Australia's largest Japanese garden. Beautifully maintained gardens and well worth the visit. We really enjoyed feeding the fish and ducklings - bags of food are available at reception. It was a very hot day but the garden has plenty of well placed covered areas to sit and relax. This place has rather heavy historical origins with the Japanese POW camp & breakout but I think this is a wonderful way to help heal some of the difficult history in Cowra. I myself lost many relatives during the WW2 conflict - on both my Australian and Chinese side of my family. Visiting here was a very cathartic experience.

Beautifully kept and maintained gardens. Heaps of birdlife and just a great place to wander around. Allow around 1 to 1.5 hours. Well worth the entry fee if you consider the amount of work that goes in to keeping everything looking this manicured.

We had a fantastic day at the annual blossom festival on Saturday. We had perfect blue skies and it was well worth the trip. There were a lot of people but the cultural performances were worth that. For the best photos I would visit on a weekday. We highly recommend a visit to the War Memorial of the POW camp. We went the following day. We will definitely visit again.

Excellent attraction. These gardens are stunning and very well maintained. I didn’t think I would spend 2 hours there but I did. Well worth the admission fee.

Really lovely maintained gardens, worth a stop by if passing. Buy fish food to feed the fish and ducks that was entering. Also has a cafe connected as well to sit and enjoy the views

A must visit when in Cowra. Magnificent gardens. $20 entry for adults so allow plenty of time to explore and sit and take it all in. Dog friendly too!!!

Absolutely pristine gardens. The card and attention given by volunteers to maintain the original craftsmanship of the creators is to be admired. Well worth tge entrance fee. There is also a delightful - dog friendly - cafe that serves hot and cold food. Combine this with a visit to the POW Camp in the Peace Park - right next to each other.

I visited with my elderly mother in a wheelchair in late winter, just before blossom time. The gardens and falling water, and the structure of each area were superb - stunningly beautiful and serene. A word of warning to those coming with a wheelchair - the grades are steep, and there are some variances in grade sufficient to require a bit of shuffling back and forwards. Still, the gardens were over-all accessible and I had a good work-out to boot. I was less impressed with the cost, the overt touristy elements and the cafeteria staff levels - but perhaps this goes with the territory and can be hard to fairly judge on a single visit. I will come back in a couple of weeks :|
