Coyaba Beach was perfect for me. No constant music and noise but a tranquil natural environment which has attracted a more mature clientele and others with young families . Beautifully maintained gardens , situated beside the beach, with plenty of sunbeds. The staff are efficient, friendly and respectful. I found all attentive and courteous. They made it their duty to ensure that I was always satisfied from reception to dining room to cleaner and welcomed and listened to all feedback. The food was varied, with both delicious local Grenadian Caribbean dishes and continental an uk specialties. |This was in addition to the mall across from the hotel that had a supermarket that also sold fresh hot food and baked goods. There were also several takeaway outlets including KFC. I am still working off the weight that I as I foolishly avoided the well equipped gym. |Finally , I highly recommend the tours organised by James Tours. I had an enjoyable experience on the island tour including the rum , spice and chocolate factories and the sunset river cruise. Thank you Paul and Andy our drivers and thank you Janelle James of James tours for transparency and for locating and retrieving my expensive jacket that I had misplaced in the taxi transporting me from the Airport. I love the Grenadian people for their friendliness and humility and I felt very comfortable as a solo traveller. I will definitely return to Coyaba Beach

Lovely hotel in great location on most amazing stretch of Grand Anse beach complete with powder soft sand and turquoise water. The room was spacious and clean with a balcony overlooking the grounds which were beautiful and well kept by the hard working gardeners. The beach was a minute walk from our room and we could take loungers from grounds onto beach. Lots of trees in grounds and on beach for much needed shade. The staff were helpful and very friendly-especially the general manager who was such a lovely man. The water was filtered so drinkable and the plugs were 3 pin same as the UK! Kayaks and snorkel equipment was available.

We returned to the Coyaba for another 2 weeks after last year being so perfect. I must say it was just as special. Roderick was there to greet us with his usual warm welcome. We were swiftly given a rum punch & checked in and our cases were taken to our room which again was spotless. They had even put "Welcome back" with flowers on our bed ! We went down for a drink and some dinner - To our amazement both Anthony & Chad remembered us from last year !!! It was just like meeting old friends. The food was lovely and plentiful. Every single member of staff were (again) absolutely brilliant. Polite, friendly and did everything to make our stay special. Vanburn was always smiling. He is a true gent. I want to mention Evril & Rudi who although we were having the best time just brightened our day a bit more ! Then there is Kerona ! an absolute sweetheart. It was so lovely to see her again. As soon as we saw each other she gave me that beautiful smile & a huge welcome back hug.|Being a family run hotel, i think is what makes it so special. It really makes you feel at home.|I have never in my life up until this holiday returned to the same hotel. After last year i just felt i had to go back and I'm so glad i did & this won't be the last time either !!!!

Coyaba is not a sleek high end resort providing fine dining and luxury. What Coyaba is, is welcoming, comfortable, thoughtful and undemanding. If you want somewhere to relax and recharge come here. |The staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful. Shout out to David McKenzie who helped us plan and arrange an island tour. Also to Chad whose mission in life is to ensure you never have an empty wine glass. The hotel is well maintained with immaculate gardens. Its position is the best on Grande Anse beach. You step into the gardens on to the beach and into the beautiful Caribbean Sea. |I’ve read previous reviews which criticised the food. One criticism was the variety. I don’t know if there’s been a positive effort to address this but it felt like there was a lot of choice from the buffet or set menu. Always chicken, fish, pork, beef and vegetable dishes. A few special evenings - pasta, Indian and BBQ. Lunchtimes offered salads and buffet or toasted sandwiches / pizza.|It’s easy to get into St George’s by a local bus which picks up close to the hotel. Quite an experience but safe and worth doing.|Clientele were largely British, mostly around retirement age. There were 3/4 children there during our 10 day visit. They seemed to be enjoying their time but there are no specific facilities for them

After a 20 minute airport transfer, we were checked in, offered a rum punch & taken to our room. ||Coyaba Beach resort is a small hotel with just 80 rooms but still contains 2 restaurants, a pool with a swim up bar, central bar, beach bar, a shop, a spa, a gym, a tennis court, a shuffleboard, a table tennis table & access to water activities such as canoeing, snorkelling & scuba diving. Some activities are complimentary. There are also plenty of sunbeds, more so than the number of guests.||Our air conditioned room contained a large bed, large TV (however most stations suffered pixelation), a safety deposit box, walk in shower, 2 pool towels, tea & coffee facilities & ice bucket (fillable from a machine outside), an empty fridge & an iron & ironing board. Maid service was daily with an additional towel replacement service around 7 pm.||The grounds are extremely well manicured by the garden staff & lead down to it's central location on the beautiful 2.5km long Grand Anse beach with soft sand & very calm & warm turquoise waters. Security staff patrol the beach borders keeping vendors & dogs away from the guests if necessary. |The beach bar serves a great range of cocktails & drinks but the standout for my husband was the beer, Windward IPA on draft. The beach bar however is open to the public so can get overrun at times. ||The main Arawakabana restaurant was generally buffet but on occasions a la carte whereas the Carbet pool restaurant was always a la carte. There was a good variety of food & juices at breakfast from 6.30 am to 10 am with an egg station creating great omelettes & pancakes. Food at the buffet lunch (12.30 pm to 3 pm) & latterly dinner always had 3 options, usually chicken, pork & fish, cooked in different ways but if you want more options then try the Carbet a la carte. On Tuesdays around 6.30 pm there is a meet the management cocktail hour with nibblies on offer with BBQ'd food to follow for dinner.||Entertainment was generally every other night & finished around 10 pm.||Immediately opposite Coyaba's entrance is a KFC restaurant, a supermarket & a hardware store as well as the bus stop & to the left a few hundred yards away are a number of restaurants.||Service at Coyaba did seem a bit hit & miss at times, many of the staff were extremely attentive & happy in their work, others however, not so much so, letting down their colleagues & the owners.||Daily temperatures in late October was 33 degrees but barely dropped by 4-5 degrees of a night so the restaurants & seating areas could really do with a better form of air conditioning, the ceiling fans were proving ineffective.||All in all we had a very quiet & peaceful stay on Grenada which was exactly what we were looking for.

Back from a week here. A lovely break from the British winter. Hotel is beautifully kept, gardens and facilities are spotless. Nicely equipped gym, and comfortable, smart bar and lounge areas. I was lucky enough to go one of their quietest weeks of the year, so never a wait or a queue for anything. ||I'm not sure why I can't gush about the hotel. It's set on a beautiful quiet clean beach, and whilst getting a little tired now, the rooms were spacious, again, very clean, and bed very very comfortable. ||I just felt, with the exception of David the customer service relations guy who was superbly polite, and the guys working the main bar each evening who were always cheerful and great fun, that the staff found me a bit of an inconvenience to their chats and fun with each other. ||The female staff rarely smiled, infact were downright rude sometimes, although the men were a little better. Over the first few days I tried tipping fairly heavily to see if it made tomorrow better, but they'd still look coldly at me as if they'd never seen me before. However I did see them chatting merrily to some customers, so maybe it was just me! My record was standing for ten minutes at the pool bar, whilst a group of staff just stood and chatted and with no one behind the bar. Eventually I walked towards them and said 'you couldn't get the bar guy could you?' Where upon one of the women broke away and I said 'I'm the bar GUY ....' and came did me a Diet Coke without a single apology or smile. |I did rather wonder how on earth it would be if they were busy too! I suppose it's been a while since I've been to the Caribbean, and they do tend to be either incredibly warm or cold as ice. ||Staff aside, the food was nice. I far preferred the buffet evenings to the al la Carte. I can see how, being so quiet, buffet would involve too much waste, but it was very nice the 2 nights it was on of my 7. The Al la Carte was ok. Starters were the size of your thumb, mains were better. Had the steak, twice, at a pretty large supplement (I was All Inclusive), and it was very nice. ||Breakfast was lovely, buffet and plentiful choice. ||Pool was ok. Pretty small and the water line is very low, so the sides tower above you when you are in it, a slightly odd feeling, but it meant I went to the beach, which is unusual for me, and I'm glad I did seeing some lovely sunsets. ||So a perfectly acceptable week. The sunshine and beautiful sea were very welcome. The managers cocktail evening was very nice and kind of them to do it with so few of us there. ||Generally the bands and musicians 4 of the 7 nights were great fun and definitely brought something to the week. ||I went through Tui but they were completely absent throughout the week. Didn't have a rep at the airport out or back, and no communication through the App whatsoever so I had to sort my own taxi transfers. But that's not remotely the hotel's problem. They kind of vaguely tried to help, whilst charging me 50 usd to keep my room for 4 extra hours, even though the hotel was three quarters empty.... a bit of a last slap, but I realise policies are policies. ||No regrets, nice memories, wouldn't return.

Excellent resort. Excellent food and service. Beautiful beach. Quiet resort with almost nightly entertainment. Not a party atmosphere so if youre looking to party and drink till the bar closes every night stay somewhere else or go to a local party place. I highly recommend.

Disappointed is an understatement. As seasoned travelers (hostels to luxury resorts), this was the worst overall accommodation experience we have had. With the exception of 1 employee, we were consistently treated as though our presence was an inconvenience. This response was consistent from check-in to wait staff at the one meal we cringed through. When a smile and ‘hello’ is met with silence, grumble or overt rudeness it is baffling! Please spare yourself and do not stay here. If you must, do not get the ‘all inclusive’ package as the food is truly awful. ZERO flavor catered to a significantly older audience. We purchased a bottle of wine at our first (any only) dinner on site. The bottle had gone bad (straight vinegar) and they would not refund. We ate out every other meal. Besides the food being flavorless and overcooked, the service was terrible. This is not an ‘island time’ thing, this is a horrible service thing. We booked a 2pm pick up snorkel excursion through the hotel. We discussed with the booking representative that we would be returning from our conference around 2pm and we were assured this would not be a problem. Well….the pick up left at 1:45pm. We were basically told ‘oh well’ and offered a more expensive shorter trip the following day….no other options. Beach was nice. Rooms and amenities were outdated but ‘fine’. The first night before we went to our abismal dinner, I shut all the doors and turned the AC unit on. When we returned ~2 hours later, my entire floor was flooded as water was pouring from my AC unit. I honestly thought the room above me had a burst pipe. An hour after calling the front desk, a maintenance employee arrived with a shop vac. Definitely not 4 star hotel level.
