We stayed at the Coyaba for 11 nights during June. |The location of the hotel is 5 star, Grand Anse beach is stunning white sand, crystal blue waters and no fight for a sunbed on the beach. |The accommodation is typical of the Caribbean, some would say dated but the bed was huge and comfy, modern TV, towels changed every day and kept immaculately clean. We were in room 132 which was quite near the beach and suited us lovely.|We were celebrating our 30th anniversary which I had notified the hotel about and we came back from the beach that day to find a beautiful bouquet of flowers and bottle of champagne - nice touch! |Food - we would only rate as 3 star, hence giving the hotel an overall 4 star. We understand the hotel is only small but there was little variety. Firstly breakfast - great egg station and there was always bacon and sausage but as a fruit lover there was only melon and occasionally pineapple on the buffet. The pastry station was also poor with most being quite hard and inedible. Lunch - there was an extensive a la carte menu you could choose from with burgers, pizza etc but the buffet was limited. There was always lettuce, tomato and cucumber but no tuna, seafood or meats to make a salad. Lastly dinner - most nights it is a la carte but the offering is mainly, fish starter, then main course is pork, chicken or fish in some form. You could only get steak, lamb if you paid an extra supplement which at a hotel of this quality and rating and what you have paid, you wouldn’t expect.||Would we come again - possibly for the location but we would have to build in a budget to either eat elsewhere some of the time or pay the additional supplements.||The island of Grenada is beautiful and everyone we spoke to was warm and friendly. We visited St George on the local bus (quite the experience) and also did a private island tour with Tony Taxi which was fantastic.

Check-in was easy, quick and the welcome drink went down a treat! We were delighted with our room which was steps away from the garden, restaurant and beach. Air conditioning was excellent and the room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. This is the first hotel I have been to where the sun loungers outnumber the guests, so no issues with finding the perfect spot! Before travelling I read some reviews about the food which concerned me and I resigned myself to perhaps finding the food below par. However, I don't know what the previous people's palate is, but mine is certainly different! The food was excellent, varied and plentiful and was presented (when ordered from the menu) in a professional, culinary manner. We enjoyed the buffet service at lunchtime and table service in the evening. If you wanted an additional bread roll or something that you had previously enjoyed, you just had to ask and it was provided with a smile! There was no need to pay for additional premium drinks as what was available was of a good quality. Staff were always friendly and helpful. |We would recommend the Sunset Cruise as it was one of our special memories.|The resort is 'fogged' twice a week which seems to help eradicate the mosquitos, but I would suggest additional precautions (I brought pestects bracelets and repellent which were great).|Also, you can access your Netflix account on the room TV which we discovered a few days in. |Water sports are available but we noticed that a few people brought their own snorkels. The sea is wonderfully clear and there are many fishes to be seen very close to the water's edge.|We were there at the start of the rainy season and had just one day of constantly dodging the showers. The rest of the time a brief respite from the sun was actually very welcome.|This is a relaxing holiday and although there were a few families, it is predominantly couples. Day passes are available and these do seem to be used by locals. It is a very popular hotel due to it being family owned and has an excellent local reputation.|The gardens are stunning and very well maintained. On our last day, they were harvesting the coconuts and encouraged us to drink the coconut water which was delicious!

We stayed at this hotel eight years ago and were pleased to see not too much had changed, apart from the great addition of a beach bar, The Cove. On arrival we were warmly welcomed with a lovely cold flannel and great rum punch! Check-in was quick and easy and the hotel had accommodated our request to have two rooms next to each other (we were holidaying with family but separate bookings). The rooms were traditionally furnished, wonderfully cool and light, the large bed was particuarly comfortable and the bathroom (with its large shower) was spotless (the toiletries were lovely as well!).|Breakfast was self-service and there was always a good variety on offer (either cold meat, cheese, pastries and cooked), plus of course the egg station. Tea/Coffee was brought to the table and help yourself to juices. Lunch could be had in the main restaurant or if more of a snack was wanted you could go the other restaurant near the pool. Evening meals varied from buffet to a la carte - we were staying for two weeks and only one night we felt the meal was a little dry, however we later learnt that you could ask for extra sauce/gravy. There was a good choice from fish or meat and thankfully not a chip in sight! There was also a range of vegetables, although in typical Caribbean fashion served a little on the hard side for our personal liking.|There was entertainment most nights, usually a band or steel pans - unfortunately the singers were far too loud and made for very difficult conversation. There is also a Manager's evening once a week where they come and chat with you, and you also have the chance to buy jewellery, spices etc from the local traders.|The setting and staff are what sets this hotel apart, everyone was very friendly and helpful and took the time to chat (if you wanted). The gardens are beautiful and tidied every day, and the beach (with its golden sand) swept clean each morning.|We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and would have no hesitation in returning.

Lovely friendly family run hotel. |The grounds and gardens are stunning and the garden maintenance team do an excellent job.|The rooms are nicely situated, no one over looking you, very comfortable rooms with daily towel changes including beach towels, daily cleaning service absolutely no complaints.|The staff are so friendly and courteous and always willing to assist you, I like fresh milk with my tea and coffee in the room and they were always happy to provide me with a jug. |There are three bars which were always manned, the beach bar closing at 6.30/7pm perfect place to watch the sunset.|The gardens and beach have plenty of sunbeds so no need to put your towels out at 5am, not something I have ever done but I have seen it happen in many places |and it is very annoying and inconsiderate.|We were there 14 nights and whilst some complain there is not enough variety we had something different every lunch and dinner, the fish was superb, again the breakfast had plenty of choice, those that complain are usually looking for the same you would have at home, for us we were in Grenada and happy to try their dishes.|Evening entertainment was 4 or 5 times a week and all of the singers and steel bands were excellent getting a lot of us up dancing, encouraged by three fantastic barmen, Chad, Joel and Kevon who were a complete joy, thank you.|So many I would like to mention but as always don't want to miss anyone out as you were all fabulous.|We did the Lobster /Catamaran trip, not particularly cheap but much more refined than the general BBQ boat trips and we had a great day.|Will we back, yes excellent holiday, so relaxing and would definitely recommend particularly for couples.

Beautiful hotel, stunning well kept gardens & in a stunning location. Hotel staff went above & beyond to make you feel welcome. Staff were very friendly, helpful, professional & polite. Hotel was spotlessly clean, our room was kept spotlessly clean, good quality complimentary toiletries, plenty of coffee & tea etc. Fresh towels & beach towels daily. Beds turned down nightly & complimentary chocolate & flower petal very nice touch. Excellent WIFI throughout hotel. Excellent food throughout our stay & plenty of choice. We stayed all inclusive drinks were good quality & plenty of choice. We can certainly understand why the the hotel has so many repeat guests returning. We will definitely be returning to the Coyaba Hotel in the future. Very well ran traditional family hotel.

Situated on the world famous Grand Anse beach, Coyaba occupies several acres of landscaped lawn, lovely gardens, adorned with accommodation and most strikingly, the round buildings reminiscent of Amerindian and African traditional architecture. These buildings have conical roofs, are spacious, comfortable furniture, lovely sea breeze and charming ambiance. They offer a buffet style lunch with many and varied options, both for the vegetarian/vegan/piscatarian/carnivore. Many salads were on offer, deserts, and a sword fish grilled dry without the jerk seasoning that is so popular with many diners. The fish was well and delicately seasoned, the flesh resonated with subtle but compelling taste that opened the appetite. Juices were offered, particularly smoothies, at an additional cost and so are drinks. This restaurant is my favourite in St George's, and whenever I'm in town, I return to its comfortable seatings in a luscious and extremely comforting environment. For $100 XCD, it's worth every penny.

Family owned, attentive service, beautiful grounds. Cannot say enough about concierge services (thank you David!), restaurant staff, chefs, and the entire beach and room staff. Thank you all for a lovely stay and incredible hospitality!

We spent a week at the Coyaba from March 11 to March 18. We have never been to such a place that we would describe as perfect according to our preferences. The excellent food, drinks and service made up for the basic but comfortable rooms. The food choices are limited but are cooked to a very high quality relative to any all inclusive at this cost. This resort is an intimate kind of setting with only 80 rooms and is not a colossus as you would find at Punta Cana where there is a veneer of luxury but it is never particularly satisfying. You are just a two minute walk from your room to the Grand Anse beach which is marvelous. Loungers are plentiful. The owners of this resort should be grateful for their staff; they are impeccable. Every employee, even those not directly involved in customer service roles such as the groundskeeping and maintenance folks were gracious and kind. I wish to single out Richard Findley for his incredible kindness and graciousness. We will be returning.
