Coyol Restaurant

In a word, WOW. This is a special place. This is the kind of destination restaurant you get to and just marvel at (it’s a little bit of an adventure to get there, and will make you appreciate how everything you see and taste has to be brought there up that road!) The food was exceptional and matched the expectations you would have upon entering the building. If you are in Nosara, I would say this is a must. It is one of the most unique and special restaurants we have ever been to, anywhere in the world. 10/10 could not recommend any higher…well done!!!

The absolute best view you will ever have for dinner anywhere in the world! Beautiful place with an incredible ocean view. Food is delicious. Definitely make your reservation for 30-60 minutes before sunset. Incredible place! Bring bug spray for after the sun goes down. Not awful though. They also have some on hand. Crazy drive to get up there (on top of a mountain). We had a land cruiser. I saw medium size buses bringing groups up though. I loved driving there. Highly recommend!

I ordered the smoky roasted eggplant, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The carpaccio was also excellent, fresh and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is stunning—easily one of the most beautiful I’ve ever visited. I highly recommend booking a table in time for sunset; it’s the perfect setting for an unforgettable dinner.

We had a great experience at Coyol! We made a reservation for 5:30 but arrived at 5:00 to have drinks and enjoy the beautiful sunset—the atmosphere was fantastic. The road up is quite steep, but we had no trouble in our 4x4. For dinner, we shared the tomahawk steak and the pork ribs. The tomahawk was good—not the best we’ve had, but still enjoyable. The pork ribs, however, were absolutely delicious—I think I actually preferred them over the steak! Overall, a great spot for good food and stunning views.

An absolutely amazing experience! The food was exceptional, and so was the service. Jordi made the entire visit even more memorable-thank you, Jordi! We tried a couple of dishes and were pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended and well worth the drive.

Charming mountain top vistas with a scenic indoor / outdoor setting. Also a nice little area to sit around fire pits or swing like you’re jumping off the mountainside. Robust and fresh set of menu options from meats to fishes. An absolute must visit (albeit pricey) when in Nosara. Reservations are required.

Creatively decorated rather small diner with breathtaking outside seating & views. 4 of the 5 reviews I read detailed the treacherous drive up the mountain. The gravel road was similar to all the others, only the steepness of the road was notable. Our 2 wheel drive Toyota Rush rental would have been fine but it was under powered. So wife & I took the Quad ATV. As promised, the sunset & the vast ocean was impressive. Expensive but memorable, 92,000 for 2.

Such a special experience. The restaurant is just as stunning as the views. The staff was so kind and attentive. The food was divine; you HAVE to get the cheese board.
