The name is completely appropriate. Walking in felt like being home, it was exactly cozy! It felt secluded while being all of 5 minutes to our son's campus adjacent apartment. The dining options near downtown were all right around the corner. We traveled with our 2yr old beagle, and she's finicky about going to the bathroom while on a leash. We have a large fenced in yard at home. Cozy Hideaway also has a fully fenced in yard that is tremendous! We were able to let her out stress free and just go out and grab her business with baggies after. Spent some time Saturday watching college football on the big wall mounted TV in the den. The couches are really comfy, took a short nap on one mid-game. There's another TV in the bedroom that we didn't get around to using. While we packed properly for our trip, there was an accidental soda spill at a restaurant and we used the washer/dryer to clean my wife's sticky outfit. Everything you could need was there, tide pods right on top of the machine. I work remote developing software, and was easily able to conduct video calls and any other tasks on their wifi without issue. I've stayed in these kinds of private operated residences all over the place through the US and Canada. They almost always seem a little worse for wear than the photos convey. Not the case here! This is, without hyperbole, the nicest privately owned accommodation I have ever had the good fortune to find! It will always be my number one go-to location for trips to Gainesville, from here on out. My only hesitation on writing this glowing review (which still falls short of mentioning all the wonderful attention to detail they've put into this place) is that I don't want extra competition booking it before I do when I want to come to town :)
