We visited as a group of nine for a casual, messy crab boil dinner. While the food was largely a hit, the seating and comfort level left a lot to be desired.
Atmosphere & Seating:
The main issue was space. The first-floor dining area is quite small. Our party of nine was awkwardly accommodated at two small tables pushed together. This made for a very tight, uncomfortable fit where we were literally elbow-to-elbow. The layout was so cramped that waitresses had to move one of our chairs just to navigate to other tables, which was disruptive for everyone. We noticed there appeared to be a second floor, but it wasn't being used for seating. It was frustrating not to be offered that extra space, which could have made our experience much more pleasant.
Food:
The food had its highlights and low points. I'd rate it a 3.5 out of 5. The seafood boils were generally well-seasoned. For the kids (and many adults), the clear favorite was the Lemon Pepper flavor over the Cajun.
However, we were let down by the crawfish. They were disappointing for two reasons: first, there wasn't a lot of meat to be found, making them more work than they were worth. More notably, when you separate the head from the tail; there was a distinct muddy smell that was off-putting and indicated they might not have been purged properly.
Overall:
This spot delivers tasty, satisfying crab boils with a standout lemon pepper seasoning. However, the cramped seating for groups and the hit-or-miss quality of some items (like the crawfish) hold it back. It's a fun choice for small parties, but for larger groups, I'd recommend looking elsewhere or calling far in advance to see if they can properly accommodate you upstairs.
