Unique cultural museum located a few blocks away from Confeitaria Colombo in the Centro of Rio. At the time of visit, they had an exhibition focused on the biodiversity of the region. Entry is free and there was no wait time.

A wonderful experience. The exhibition on Dona Izabel Mendes da Cunha and her impact on craft and tradition of Jequintinhonha Valley of Minas Gerais was the highlight of our day and visit.

I visited this incredible gallery twice, because I didn’t get enough the first visit. They were exhibiting Tania de Maya’s work… which was beautiful and very well exhibited

The building is gorgeous and the exhibitions about traditional Brazilian art are very interesting. There's also an art store, a cafeteria, a rooftop terrace and a library. Definitely recommended.

Adorable small exhibition space. In and out in 30-45 min. The exhibition while we were there was on carnival crafts, with elaborate head dresses and stunning outfits. Recommend if you’re in the area especially on a rainy day.
