A wonderful experience. The exhibition on Dona Izabel Mendes da Cunha and her impact on craft and tradition of Jequintinhonha Valley of Minas Gerais was the highlight of our day and visit.

The building is gorgeous and the exhibitions about traditional Brazilian art are very interesting. There's also an art store, a cafeteria, a rooftop terrace and a library. Definitely recommended.

Adorable small exhibition space. In and out in 30-45 min. The exhibition while we were there was on carnival crafts, with elaborate head dresses and stunning outfits. Recommend if you’re in the area especially on a rainy day.

Great space, but I wanted to buy some of the crafts in the shop. You can only pay with BIX system and you can only have an account if you have a Brazillian bank account. So as a foreigner I could not purchase anything (not even with cash). Also you need to have photo ID to go in e.g. passport or drivers licence.
