During my recent visit, I was impressed by the diverse menu offering a range of delicious seafood dishes. The cozy atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. Ener, the manager, truly enhanced our visit with his exceptional hospitality and attention to detail.

Words can't describe how good this place is. The service is 1st class and the food is amazing. I had the Lobster Thermidor and the Shrimp Fetachini and both were amazingly delicious. I started our with the Roca Shrimp for the Appetizer and washed it down with an ice cold Modelo. For my main dish I had the Lobster Thermidor that was a average size tail that was prepared so perfect and the mushroom enhanced sauce was amazing, with nothing to overbearing. It was the perfect blend and it tasted amazing. The second dish was a Shrimp Fetachini that literally had a tail on Shrimp in every bite and was served with a generous portion of parmesan to add if you wish. This dish was also amazing but if you are Jewish or Muslim, tell them to hold the bacon bits that are added. (Religious Preference) the entire experience was perfect and I recommend this place for a Birthday or Anniversaries or just a nice place with a nice atmosphere and setting for a romantic occasion. You have a choice of eating inside or out on the deck with a nice lagoon view and a beautiful sunset if it's not cloudy. Enjoy this place as I did.

An Ok sea food restaurant, a bit too loud for my taste. Pretty pricey, 5 adults and 2 kids spent about $500 USD for dinner. Food is OK, but not very impressed, a bit salty. Well, the appetizer bread’s better. For example, I found the restaurant at JW Marriott to offer better food, much nicer atmosphere and actually cheaper. Well, there’s some fireworks and birthday songs for some party, which’s nice.

On business trip with Southbrook Business here is Cancun promoting one of our brands. We stayed in the hotel zone Cancun. Decided to stop by for a bite at the Crab House. I have to say it was not what we have expected as far as the atmosphere but the visit was pleasant. It’s on the pricier side and geared to tourists. Service was pleasant and food was plain but tasty. We had Mexican beer seafood soup and clam chowder followed by paella and grilled shrimp. Patio has a nice view of the sunset if you come in the afternoon.

Gábriel and Eeugenio was very helpful and super friendly. They sales us why we are here and when they found out that it was our honeymoon they gave us a little show, and a complimentary dessert. It was a great experience and we 100% recommend the place to any one. They also helped with the drink selection that would fit our food. The food was also 5 star. Make sure you will visit this place.

Ivan and Alexis were amazing very attentive and knowledgeable about best choices for food. The steamed crab legs are amazing!! Would definitely come back whenever I’m craving seafood.

We had the pleasure of dining at the Crab House restaurant recently and I must say that it was a truly exceptional experience. The restaurant is situated right on the waterfront, offering stunning views and creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. One of the standout features of this restaurant is its expansive sitting area on a dock, which is perfect for larger parties or for those who want to enjoy their meal while taking in the gorgeous waterfront views. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our dining experience all the more enjoyable. As for the food, the variety of seafood options on the menu was truly impressive and it was the main reason we went there. We tried the grilled octopus and the snapper, and both dishes were absolutely delicious! The freshness and quality of the seafood was evident in every bite, and the flavors were perfectly balanced and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended it!

We had dinner at the Crab House and it was excellent. I was craving fried fish but ended up having salmon stuffed with crab and shrimp in a cheese sauce. It was so delicious. My husband had a ribeye steak and it was one of the best he has had. Our servers were attentive to our requests. Jesus gave us personal service as he talked and laughed with us. Both of them were fluent in English and Spanish.

Yelp
We went here for lunch to celebrate our anniversary (we didn't tell them we were celebrating). The restaurant is nice, decor is inviting and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The margaritas were tasty but could use a tad more tequila. We purchased two rounds and they gave us an additional round on the house. The seafood was slightly overcooked, as was the steak (which was supposed to be medium). Everything was flavorful just overcooked. We paid just under $300 which included the service fee/tip. However we gave the servers a little something extra because the service was very good. If they could get the temperature of the food correct I would be willing to go again.

Yelp
After returning from our all day tour to Chicthenitza, we were starving like hostages and opted just to walk from our hotel to the Crab House. We were looking and feeling pretty gross from our all day adventure, but they sat us right away without a reservation. Besides us there was only about 3 other tables and the restaurant is huge so it felt very empty. It must be a slow week because most places we went to were empty. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp and my husband had the Seafood Paella. We were pleasantly surprised that both were very good! The reviews don't do them justice. Food and service were excellent. A solid dinner choice in Cancun.

Yelp
I have to say this place is just fun. Definitely some good entertainment and drink made right in front of our eyes. LOCATION & DECOR: Can't quite figure out the decor of this place. It's definitely a Japanese inspired, but with an eclectic twist to it. Lots of things to look at and write on the water. Surrounded by a happening night life all around. FOOD & DRINK: Seafood for sure if you're going to eat here. It was pretty good. But for a place like this, I did expect a little better. Drinks were made to perfection. Alcoholic of course. Would love to see some excellent mocktails made with the same love and care and showmanship. PRICE: -this place is pretty pricey. Feels luxurious although many of the patrons or not dressed for the decor. SWAG/AMENITIES: -Table service -Showmanship -Full menu -Full bar -Patio seating STAFF & EXPERIENCE: This is a cool stop since we had to get something to eat. Was definitely not expecting this place. In the heart of a lot of nightlife action. The place is fun to be in. Our server was chill. Definitely put on a great show with making a drink for my partner at the table. Made some good recommendations for food and we were able to get a sneak peek of a show happening across the way over the water. Sat right next to the water which was really nice. Even though it was a fun place cool experience, likely won't be back here since the price compared to the taste was not the best I've ever had. Definitely for out of five stars for this one.

Yelp
Better the second time around! My wife and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary in March of 2014 in Cancun and dined at two wonderful restaurants across the street from the Marriott All Inclusive Resort (then the Marriott Casa Manga), one of those establishments was the Crab House. We recently returned for our 35th anniversary, and the Crab House did not disappoint! We shared our meals, and ate the following delicious dinner: Appetizer Last time we dined here we had a delectable dish -- "Guacamole de Langos: Lobster guacamole served with lime (no shortages here), tomatoes and lettuce." I was initially exceptionally disappointed that it was not on the menu, but was exceedingly pleased with the replacement: Crab House Guacamole Served with a small Stone Crab's claw. Guacamole prepared with olive oil, tomato, onion and lime. The crab meat was not only incorporated into the dish, but large slices were served on top of the large portion of really fresh guacamole ("fresh" is the operative theme here). Shared Entrees Alaskan King Crab Succulent King Crab legs! You can enjoy them hot or cold, prepared with clarified butter and a Mexican garlic sauce which enhances their flavor. Rockefeller Lobster This was the most unique offering I think I've ever eaten--here we go: Lobster tail cooked with spinach, parmesan cheese and gouda cheese, served with a wonderful linguine parmesan cheese sauce pasta. Oysters Rockefeller on steroids(LOL). Rich but deliciously flavorful. (I am so glad I listened to my wife and ventured beyond my usual Oysters Rockefeller). Stone Crab Freshly cracked Jumbo crab claws served hot or cold (we opted for cold which I recommend) prepared with their unique sauce which the call "Coleman sauce" and clarified butter--the best Stone Crab Claws I have ever had anywhere-even Joe's Stone Crab & Steaks in Miami & Chicago. Dessert For dessert we ordered their premium roasted coffee with authentic Mexican Fried Ice Cream--this was the real deal Con Flakes and all. Served with chocolate covered strawberries and a raspberry glaze. They also brought us gratis a decadent strawberry cheese case with raspberry, strawberry, and kiwi drizzled sauces garnished on the plate. Service. The service was exceptional-attentive but not overbearing-and they went out of their way to make certain our special occasion was memorable. I unequivocally highly recommend the Crab House in Cancun for your dining pleasure.

Yelp
This place wasn't as busy as it should have been, but it was a Monday. Tables on the water were lovely but a tad chilly so they graciously moved us. All of our food was amazing, but I will be craving the guacamole with rib eye chicharron for a while. Tasty Old Fashions. Red wines were served chilled, not my personal favorite but good wine nonetheless. And our server Mizra was attentive and friendly without being intrusive

Andrew C.

Yelp
I don't want to rip this place apart or anything as I hate writing bad reviews but wow. Immediately sat by the hostess without a reservation but only to be brought out to a very nice patio That was maybe 17% full, and to top it off the dj was doing a full on set for family's and people just wanting to eat crabs and scrimps and stuff. We didn't get immediate service as they just brought us a 25 pound plate of raw/stinky seafood for us to admire? Just sat it right there...... In all of its like warm seafood glory. Anyways, took 10 minutes to get a bottle of water and two cocktails. $45 dollars later we were out of there as the food looked underwhelming. Go and get some local tacos. You'll be glad you did.

Yelp
The food and service was exceptional! Some Of the best seafood and service I have had in Mexico!! Highly recommend and also they have valet and exceptional food and choices!

Ramon O.

Yelp
Omg!!! Way better than Lotenzillos. I came here after a very disappointing experience at Lorenzillos. Do yourself a favor and come here for a nice dinner. I had the amazing coconut shrimp.

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Exceptional, beyond exceptional, what an experience , the food was fresh , the service was impeccable. Had a seafood dish that had lobster , Jonas crab claws , king crab , shrimp , sides where mashed potatoes, asparagus. The drink was a Cadillac margarita , mix was made fresh there , the simple syrup was made there . I usually give longer post about an experience, but this is a must , I will make it a point to visit this gem in Mexico .

Jessica E.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite places to eat in Cancun. Staff is friendly, drinks are well crafted, food is consistently delightful, and sometimes we're even surprised with live music. Highly recommend!

Nancy H.

Yelp
Excellent food! Paella, Fettuccini, Coconut Shrimp! All delicious! Cauliflower appetizer is phenomenal! Gabriel and Eugenia were also fantastic severs! Attentive, above and beyond! We sat outside and it was a beautiful view and sunset! We will be back!

Nicolas B.

Yelp
The food is a disaster and way to expensive. So many better options in Cancun, not recommended at all!

Scott H.

Yelp
I had the crab house salad and fish and chips. Both were tasty. I asked for the french fries cooked extra crispy, and they were cooked to perfection. Service was also very good.

Whitley D.

Yelp
Who's ready for an experience!!! If you stated yes, then this is your place. Not only do they have amazing food, music, and ambience.....but they have one of the best bartenders Nathan!!! Not to take away from the restaurant but Nathan makes the best cocktails. He is a true mixologist. He made a total of 6 made up drinks and each one was amazing!! Alright the food was delicious as well. We ordered aguachile crab house (Ceviche), crab guacamole, crab house salad, seafood soup, citric sauce salmon, carbonara linguine and for dessert we ordered the chocolate dome. Every dish was amazing. Nothing to complain about. The do a flame presentation when you order the chocolate dome so you can see it melt. Tried to order the crocodile tacos, and lobster tacos But they didn't have the ingredients to make it. Our waiter gave great service and was willing to take photos for my group! All in all I will definitely be back.

Webster C.

Yelp
This place is amazing with hospitality and fine service . The food was fresh and phenomenal. Edel took care of our table and even did a huge sparkler/ dessert and loud music surprise for one of my family members out of surprise. I'm truly grateful and thankful for this staff. Come here for amazing atmosphere, FRESH food, and all round amazing service .

Cheryl C.

Yelp
The stuffed shrimp is divine. We go every year just for that! The Caesar salad is good--it has more of a mustard dressing. All types of fresh fish are available. Full bar, wine by the bottle or glass.

JD C.

Yelp
It was our last night in Mexico and our taste buds were craving more than the all-inclusive-resort-menu was offering. So after passing by Crab House during a ride back to the resort, we booked a last minute dinner reservation for three. We arrived and were seated outside on the covered patio, overlooking the water. There was a mobile mixologist that persuaded us to order speciality drinks: Ginger Passion, Strawberry Kiss, Old Fashion. The drinks were really good and an excellent start to a great night. The waiter provided a bread basket and when the bread hit my palate, I knew we selected a winner. Then, we ordered calamari which was equally as good. Next, we ordered entrees, the coconut shrimp with a mango sauce over rice, grilled shrimp with rice and ajillo shrimp with rice. The ambience and views were great and the food and drinks were delectable. I would definitely recommend Crab House if you are in town. Also, you can reserve a small villa at the end of the dock for a special occasion or private dinner.

Racquel E.

Yelp
The restaurant was conveniently located across from our hotel. If you're craving seafood, we definitely recommend this restaurant. My family and I shared (1) Crab House Salad - mixed lettuce served with stone crab, feta cheese, hearts of palm and ginger dressing (2) Grilled Seafood Plate - lobster tail, stone crab, king crab and shrimps with veggies. Our daughter had the seafood linguini. Dinner ended with a flaming chocolate dome dessert.

Yelp
Greetings!! We are here in Cancun at the Crab House. We decided to go with a Classic Margarita and Passion Fruit which was very very satisfying. On the rock margaritas are recommended due to the frozen margaritas gets really watery and melt really fast. Clam Chowder and Rockefeller Oysters, and the spinach dip were delish. I would definitely recommend this place. The customer service was top notch!!

Cara C.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, live band and food . We had Caesar salad made from scratch...the paella was delicious

Obed B.

Yelp
I was there for breakfast, awesome and very good service. Erubek and Flor were very attentive.

Javier G.

Yelp

Vee A.

Yelp
Tourist do not waste your time or money. I order a pasta dish that was supposed to have crab in it. These folks said it was shredded into the dish! Huh??? Naw it said crab meat, not shredded. This is basic food you can make at home. Out of 7 people, 3 people liked their food!!

Kevin W.

Yelp
Just finished up my dinner with this place , the food was just ok too so so , price is Yelp US $$$$ level , for example , a ribeye steak charges 1,200 pesos , roughly $70 plus tax and service fee is going to be $100. Just feel like not worth it , something like you pay Ritz Carlton hotel price then end up with a best western level room , not recommended. PS, another 2 restaurants next to this one seems come with live performance and music , don't know the food but looks like the vibe is much better at least

Michael T.

Yelp
Very expensive and they really try to upsell you. The food was ok but there are better options. The atmosphere is nice and had a good view.

Kristen H.

Yelp
Crab House Cancun was visually beautiful, the staff was helpful (almost over bearing but I'll tell you why in a moment). The food was decent (just don't try to eat it as leftovers). This place was a bit pricey but not too terrible. Here's my problem- the waiter spilled my husbands wine all over the table and my dress. They were apologetic, but did not even offer to help wipe us off or sit us at another table. Since the balcony was pretty empty, we moved ourselves over to a different table. At the end of our meal, they refused to comp part of our $300 bill (they added gratuities) - not even the drink! They did replace the drink but I guess I was pretty upset since it was my first time wearing my dress out.

Tanya N.

Yelp
I ordered clam chowder Boston style and was a bit disappointed in both the amount, the taste, and the price. The bread was not fresh or tasty, even Panera Bread makes better bread. The clam chowder itself was blah as well. I can't help but compare it to clam chowder at Splash Cafe in Pismo, CA. Their chowder is to die for and costs way less. Food here is way overpriced, even compared to San Francisco. I have to say that delicious food places in Cancun are few and far between.

Olystacy B.

Yelp
This restaurant was a highlight of my weeklong trip to Cancun. We found it on yelp, and as usual yelp did not disappoint. The booking process was easy, just a simple phone call. We were seated in a beautiful, private, spot, along the railing overlooking the water. The view was spectacular. There was someone on the dock in a private area having a two person romantic dinner with a private saxophone player, so we got to take advantage of that music, which was nice. The menu was expansive with a lot of options. We had crab guacamole for appetizer, which was OUT OF THIS WORLD GOOD. I dream of it daily. Gonna have to try to make some myself, now that I am home. We had shrimp fajitas which were some of the best I have ever tasted as well as coconut shrimp. The presentation for both dishes was fabulous. We really enjoyed the meal, the ambiance, and the service. Everything was top notch. Worth the price of the food items, for sure!

Roberto V.

Yelp
El servicio fue pésimo, la comida es cara y mala. No pierdan su tiempo y dinero en este lugar.

Nicholas C.

Yelp
Great service and atmosphere! I thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. It was like a normal ordinary dinner. My meal was good. Our server Mizra was accommodating and professional. He also served us quickly and efficiently which added to the enjoyment of our experience. The crocodile taco could of used slight more crocodile or less toppings as I couldn't quite taste the crocodile. The Crab House Salmon was tasteful! It could of used less of the cream inside as I felt like it was overpowering the crab. The flaming strawberries were quite an experience too! They do it right in front of you too. I will say it is quite pricey but worth coming to!

Buddy F.

Yelp
When they say the best seafood in Cancun they are so right!! Nathan the bartender was FANTASTIC! Ask for the old fashion and the espresso martini! Service was great. Food was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend to go here. We will be coming back. Coming from Las Vegas this place is if not better then the food in the Wynn, Bellagio, or Caesar's place.

Jo M.

Yelp
Excellent service! Amazing food and the seating overlooking the lagoon is something to experience while watching the sun go down. Wife had the seafood platter for one, I had a New York Strip and Rossetti! Order for the man who makes cocktails at your table, you will NOT be disappointed. Strawberry cheese cake for desert to top off a wonderful evening.

Keysha F.

Yelp
Going to Cancun always brings interesting eating opportunities. But the Crab House was one of the best. I had a passion fruit margarita that was one of the best drinks I had out anywhere. I had stone crab, oysters Rockefeller and a broccoli lobster bisque all out of site. I will be returning but bring your wallet and extra my tab for two was $161 and that was not with the tip. But when you are vacation you have to pay to play.

Tish G.

Yelp
We were headed to another restaurant, but it was raining so badly that we decided to stop here. Our taxi driver recommended them. The decor and ambiance was good. We were seated as soon as we came in and all of the wait staff was attentive. The food was forgettable. Honestly, it wasn't bad....but it wasn't great either. For fish and chips, stuffed shrimp, king crab, and drinks it was about $160usd. For food with a tad more taste, I would've been okay with that price. Again, not bad...but I wouldn't rush to go back.

Nataliya B.

Yelp
I enjoyed this place a lot! The only thing is they didn't have the drink menu so the waiter gave me few names of basic drinks and I wanted something cool, like a delicious cocktail, but oh well got a margarita instead. Kinda disappointed that for an amazing place like this they didn't have the drink menu on point. The food was delicious and service was nice! All good for a 5 star but the yacht club selling maneuver was lame, I came here to eat and enjoy my food and time and to leave happy and not pushed into sales. :/

Rosana R.

Yelp
If you like Red Lobster, but like it so much that you'd be willing to pay $350 (USD) for a meal for 2 (2 entrees, 2 appetizers, 3 glasses of wine, no dessert), then you'll like this place. Music was way too loud w/ a live DJ. To us it was NOT worth it at all. Last night we had a meal and experience at a different restaurant that was far better and less than this. Will not go back.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to us by the front desk of our hotel. Our hotel food was so mediocre that we had to leave our all inclusive resort and try and get some better food. We wanted some fresh and delicious seafood. This place was pricey but the food wasn't worth the price. We got the large seafood platter which was more bang for your buck rather than ordering separately. Everything was decent but not that delicious. IMO the best thing on that platter was the lobster, which was surprising since lobster can be tough. While searching for seafood places, we came upon another restaurant called Fred's. It ended up being right next door! I wonder if that place was better but oh well. Maybe next time!

Monica S.

Yelp
On the water, grab a seat on the deck below. Atmosphere rules the day, coupled with one of the best and flavorful steaks and dessert. Entertainment during dinner! PLEASE tip this guy if you see him! Played the violin updated music even my teenage kids knew...so talented! IMPRESSIVE and entertaining mixing with guest. LOVED HIM! LOVE THE ENTIRE STAFF & EXPERIENCE!!

Nicole W.

Yelp
Was hoping for good seafood but we ordered seafood platter, fish & Chips, seafood pasta.. The seafood platter was sooo bad..Cold, flavorless, Looked good but had no flavor. Cold tasteless. Fish & Chips over battered.. flavored less.. The pasta was good but cold.. Food was overpriced. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. AND ASKED Why the tip was 10% Of The $ 270.. Bill.

kayla w.

Yelp
I would 1000% go back to Cancun specifically for this restaurant. We are from Las Vegas, the hospitality Capital of the World, and never have I ever had such phenomenal service. Our server helped us select the perfect pairings as we are a sharing couple; we love to get multiple dishes and mix and match and it was the most incredible sunset ever. Do yourself a favor and try Nathan's Espresso Martini. He told us the secret ingredient and now it's all we drink at home. Seriously, don't pass this place by. Ask for a reservation on the patio and enjoy as the servers pamper you.

Anthony L.

Yelp
This is one of the best seafood restaurants in Cancun. Valet parking is available. My group was seated right away as soon as we walked in. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a walk-in wine cellar. Great ambiance. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. Our server had great menu knowledge and was very attentive. We actually had 2 servers taking care of our table and we felt like royalty. They never left our table unless they were taking away plates or bringing us something. The food was amazing and very fresh. We ordered the clam chowder, fish and chips, fresh oysters and the seafood sampler which consisted of shrimp, king crab legs, rock crab claws, octopus, and lobster tail. The price is fair compared to the US for seafood. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Cancun. Great service and excellent food!

Felix N.

Yelp
Super rude staff. It was 31st of December and only the special menu is offered. I then asked for looking at the regular menu and the staff is super impatient and says you have to purchase the champagne to order the regular menu. He came back and left the champagne in front of us while providing us with the regular menu. The champagne alone cost 4000 peso. But of course the server never mentioned it except when we ask for it. Eventually Spent 500 + USD on the special menu and ate some crab cakes , raw steak ,crab legs that are baked with cheese and cheesecakes . Super memeorable experience and really made my year . Go try yourself if you are ready to be treated that way.

Betty J.

Yelp
They should have negative reviews, service is bad, food is awful, I don't know how they got on top of search TikTok/ YouTube influencers please don't give fake feedback. .

Lyn H.

Yelp
We had the best seafood in Cancun! The service was amazing! We are coming back again next year!! This is our favorite place out of Cancun and Playa Del Carman.

Leonard D.

Yelp
I had coconut shrimp and it was very good. Wife had the Salmon and it was a bit over cooked and on the dry side. More concerning was the fact she is Celiac with a gluten allergy. After a few bites she had a reaction from getting gluten. Since she had eaten some of each item she is not able to pinpoint what item had the gluten. Either something that came with the salmon or possibly in the shrimp cocktail appetizer. Assurances were made everything was gluten free. So either there was an unknown gluten contains ingredient in her meal or possibly the meal was not prepared properly in a gluten free area and was cross contaminated. So if you're Celiac be cautious here. After getting gluten 3 times at upscale restaurants after being told the ordered menu items were gluten free we've arrived at the conclusion restaurants in Cancun don't truly understand gluten allergies. Would have been. 4 stars. We're it not for the gluten issues.

Eric E.

Yelp
This was literally the best meal we had an entire week in Cancun. People say it's pricey, but you get what you pay for. My son and I had the surf & turf and the filet was cooked perfectly and was so tender. The lobster was to die for. My wife got the stuffed king crab leg and it was delicious. The shrimp appetizer was out of this world and we were almost full by the time we finished it. Now onto the staff! Wow is all I have to say. They were on point the entire meal. Clearing plates and silverware, refilling drinks, wiping the table off after every course. They went above and beyond! Oh and can't forget about the atmosphere. We were sat on the back patio above the marina and the view was beautiful! It doesn't hurt we're boaters. If we ever make it back to Cancun this will be a must stop.

Yvette W.

Yelp
Last night in Cancún and we decide to "save the best" for last. What a mistake. We should have gone to Lorenzillo's instead. Inconsistent is one word to describe the whole experience. While the food was good the service was very inconsistent. If you are in the hospitality business there are so many factors that this place needs to consider to warrant 5 stars. The manager needs to train his workers with basic fundamentals and the manager himself needs to learn how to deal with situations like ours. First of all, I call to make reservations and request to be seated outside, the girl that answered told me it was an "extra fee" to sit outside. I told her I would call back. This was the first time I had heard of this, considering that every restaurant we had eaten at the previous nights didn't charge an extra fee for terrace dining. I called back the next day and there was no mention of an extra charge after I requested outside dining. The woman asked if our party was celebrating anything and I told her anniversary. The night that we (2 of us) show up. I give her the name, ( all the information that I gave over the phone about why we were dining there and where we wanted to be seated was irrelevant.) Because she still asked, how many and where we wanted to sit. (Mind you my first language is Spanish so there should NOT be a language barrier) These are the wrong things that show how inconsistent they are with their service: We get seated, and we get the menus. They brought us water but didn't ask us if we wanted "their" water or bottled water so they had to take the waters back and bring us bottled water after I requested it, which seemed like it bothered the server. Waiter never asked, "Is this your first time here?" that way they could recommend items from the menu. We noticed a white platter of their daily specials being shown to certain tables, not ours. We ordered their paella which was good and 1 pound lobster tail which after they brought it to us, wound up being two small lobster tails equalling to 1 pound. We requested a steak knife and rather the server bringing it to me and setting it next to me as a server should; he leans across the table and places the knife with the tip facing me. For dessert, they brought us a platter with different desserts. The table next to us ordered a dessert which were flambeed strawberries. That dessert option was never mentioned to us. When the dessert was brought, they brought forks instead of spoons, and one fork was dirty. My boyfriend asked a gentleman in a blue shirt who is the manager and he claimed he was, yet after I talked to another gentleman he said he was. I explained everything to him as far as our service and he couldn't respond with a decent answer. He left and said nothing. A while later he comes back and tries to make things better, but by that time I was very disappointed with everything that I just wanted the check to leave. He gave us a 15% discount and told us the dessert was on them. While I appreciate the effort, the damage had been done. The food is okay, it's not upscale like the other restaurants we went to like Fred's, Puerto Madero, Profirio's. The decor is nothing to rave about. I would compare this place like a casual restaurant, something like a Joe's Crab Shack in the United States. One funny observation is that we never knew who our server was. There were men in black shirts and blue shirts.

Yelp
This is the place to visit on your trip to Cancun! We wanted a nice date night and walked across the street from our JW Marriott hotel and were pleasantly greeted to sit inside or outside at the Crab House! If you're in Cancun just hop the Red Bus and they will take you there for like 12pesos! I loved the ambiance of this place- the glass ornaments look like bubbles creating ariels grotto type of an atmosphere as you prepare yourself for some of the best seafood on the planet! Our servers were attentive and friendly! And also explained the menu very well- which may I just add that the menus have wooden planks and hinges! Uhh so cool! The manager came to our table to check on us twice as well. We had the lobster - which was cooked perfectly. And the seafood paella= packed with seafood and meat. The wine list was specific enough to cater to taste buds but not overshadow the seafood as the main event. Bathrooms are gender specific but the restaurant was LGTB friendly! We felt right at home. Hasta pronto Crab House!

Yelp
What's up with the previous reviews? Y'all scares me! This place was my favorite restaurant in Cancun that I tried. I went with a group of 8 people and the service was spot on and impressive. The staff was attentive from the moment we stepped in. We literally felt like celebrities because of the way we were treated. The FOOD OMG! Listen, the food was so good we made sure we went back. We had this one dish (well not we but one couple shared it but I definitely ate off it like it was mine) it was a seafood dish with all types of seafood, mostly lobster, on a lobster she'll. I. HAVE. NEVER. HAD. LOBSTER. THIS. GOOD. I hope y'all hear me loud and clear!!! This needs to be their signature dish. The second time we went back and shared it for the table it didn't make any damn sense. All our other dishes were amazing as well. It was one of my girls' birthday so they performed this amazing fire birthday shot and it was literally a SHOW! I'm still shocked at previous reviews but I do see that there has been a switch in management and maybe I experienced the result of such change. My group was completely satisfied and literally will remember this place forever. It was the highlight of our trip. Did I mention the drinks were bomb AF?! Well, they are!
