Amazing spot! Prices are fair. They have many items on the menu if you don’t like seafood. Drinks are good too they have a bar open. Service is always great, always attended with care.

Pros: The employees were very nice, and there was good music. Cons: Everything else. I'm sorry to say, but this place wasn't something I'd consider going to again. Most of the food I tried I did not enjoy, especially the fried scallops. I thought they tasted really odd, like soap. My favorite food was the popcorn shrimp appetizer with sweet chili sauce, but the fact that it was a starter dish and I didn't enjoy any of the main dishes is concerning. The bathroom was dirty, and I felt uncomfortable having to use it. When I ate there, it was totally packed with guests eating seafood boils, so I assume that's where all the flavor is hiding. Since the place is so popular, expect for blasting music and large crowds; if this is something that sounds like a sensory nightmare then this place is not for you. If someone were to invite me back here, I wouldn't argue about it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return by myself.

My husband and I had a good experience the food was good the server was great. The atmosphere was on point. The only thing I didn't enjoy much was the Watermelon Mojito it was to watery other than that everything else was great! Highly recommend!

Food was good, my seafood boil, came out first but it took 25 minutes for my boyfriend to get his when we ordered it at the same time the same exact thing as well

Ordered in. It was a good amount of food for the price. I shouldn’t have added old bay—made it too salty and did not like the sausage. Maybe cook a bit more—but overall it was good! Also sent all the right equipment for this feast (bib, gloves, etc)

Well I was gonna give it 3 stars for the service because it took 15 for anyone to finally come over to me since I sat down but the waitress that came over was really nice and helpful so that made up for that. I had the shrimp and fries which was really delicious and the shrimp were a very nice size and golden brown. I also ordered the seafood boil the one with two lobster tails in it , everything in it was delicious but the lobster tails were over cooked and hard to remove from the shell. I originally ordered a tamarind margarita and it was nothing like what I thought it would be as I’ve had them many times before the best one was in a restaurant that sadly no longer exists so I got an iced tea instead. Music and atmosphere was nice. Overall I would return here again.

I have been meaning to try this place out for years. It is across the parking lot from the harbor freight store. The selection of spicy Cajun food is pretty good. I had the spicy wings for an appetizer and a lobster roll for the main course. The selection of appetizers is fairly extensive. It's a decent place for a quick lunch. It is different enough with a wide selection of dishes that I will want to return to sample more of the menu.

Joe’s Crab Shack can’t compare! We were originally going to go to Joe’s but then I came across this place. The portions are incredible! It is a lot of food and I think the prices are great! More than one person can feast on a combo! The bar is really good and you don’t get watered down over priced drinks. Menu selection is excellent and everyone should find something they can enjoy. We had a hard time choosing. Believe it or not the dessert was good too! The place is clean and the atmosphere was nice and mellow with everyone enjoying the company they were with. Our waitress was very attentive and patient as this was our first time she carefully explained everything to us and gave us time to decide. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for great seafood and a nice night out. Parking can be tricky as the lot is shared with nearby businesses and this place is busy!

Great food, drinks and music! Place became packed around 8pm, but we sat immediately around 7 on a Saturday. Loved everything and largest king crab legs I've ever been offered at surprisingly reasonable prices! Fried shrimp basket was huge with a nice crunch! Fresh crabmeat rice was very good, but it's more like shredded crab on top versus my fave from Buddakan uses lump. We went with bag B for $95 that had full lobster split, huge shrimp, small clams, mussels, chorizo, corn, potatoes and massive king crab legs! Easily shareable up to 3 people. Got the everything sauce! Also ordered bag F which had plenty of snow crab . Shared a massive margarita with coronita side and Modelo. Many birthdays and they present your dessert with an awesome sparkler. Loved the nautical decor and bonus parking lot as it's in a mini mall! Definitely returning. Prices are extremely reasonable!

A hidden gem in a shopping center located in downtown Clifton! Full bar, good desserts. The best part is the seafood! You can order from the combo meal list or create your own! I got a whole lobster with scallops and snow crab legs - it comes with corn and potatoes.

This is now officially my new favorite seafood boil spot! The inside of the restaurant was super cute with the hanging nets and I thought it was really cool that they let everyone autograph the walls. We started off with the lemon pepper wings which were delicious, super crispy and the dry rub was very flavorful. I was shocked to see the prices of the seafood boil combos- fair pricing for seafood and more cheap than alot of the surrounding boil places. I ordered a customized boil with a 1/2lb each of clams, mussels, shrimp and snow crab that also came with potatoes and corn which only came out to 44$! With that price ill be coming back here all the time! Additionally, the sauce for the boil was outstanding. I got the cajun sauce with the hot seasoning and wow I wanted to slurp all the sauce up with a spoon it was that good! Our waitress was very friendly and the service was great- our wings came out within 6 minutes and the boil was out shortly after.

This was my first time here, and I loved it so much that my friend and I decided that we need to come back and bring our family and friends as well. Upon entering there was so much space. We opted for the booth on the right side. There are tons of tables in the center for larger parties. To the left is the counter to pay, to the far right is the kitchen and the center is the bar . The waitress was wonderful. She explained the menu well, and also suggested which seasoning was best. We opted for the island seasoning which the waitress said it's a combo of all the seasonings into one. Best choice ever. I wanted TO LICK THE PLATE CLEAN! We were drizzling it on top of the corn and onto each bite of the crab fried rice. Which by the way rocked our world. It was presented in a bag and in a little bucket. Don't let that bucket fool you, it's a big a** bucket lol. It was so cute ! There were daily specials which included mussels and other seafood but we just ordered shrimp and crab since we aren't crazy about mussels. Shrimp was HUGE and so were the crab. I did not expect it to be so big and juicy! So fresh as well. We expected the plate to be on the smaller side but it was a nice surprise. On the day we went, there was no scallop and no tomato's for the salad. Totally a bummer. Hopefully the next time we visit there will be scallops. The pricing was so affordable btw, the boil for 2, house salad and crab fried rice was $60 total. We were totally stuffed and had to force the rice down towards the end. For the price, flavor, seating and freshness of everything it's a winner !! Oh btw there's PARKING!!!!!!! Praise the lord !

I ordered the Shrimp po boy and asked for their island sauce (hot) and wow was it sooo good. If you've been to just be claws (now closed for good ) it reminds me of their spicy hot seasoning for the boils. The shrimp in the sandwich were so big and crispy! Definitely enjoyed that !! Came here for my birthday, and I had a blast. We ordered 3 pounds of crawfish, crab legs, and shrimp. Loved that it came with potatoes and corn in the mix as well. The Cajun seasoning was on point and made all the seafood so flavorful. Everything was also very fresh. I would recommend also getting the crab fried rice and using some of the sauce in the boil bag to drizzle over the rice - YUM. Would absolutely come here again.

This place is amazing, the food is incredible, the service super friendly and helpful. And the prices unbelievable value.. So many choices .. Great family-friendly place. You have to try it..

Seriously the best seafood boil I've ever had! I shared a "build your own" seafood boil with a friend of Dungeness crab and shrimp in their mild island special sauce which was a combination of all their sauces including old bay, Cajun, garlic butter and lemon pepper sauce. It came with potatoes and corn. We were licking up the sauce, it was so delicious! It went perfectly with the crab and made the corn delicious! Everything tasted so fresh. We also had the crab fried rice which was tasty and we spooned the sauce from the boil on top to make it even better! The place was large with some outdoor seating and plenty of parking. They even have happy hour specials! So glad I've found this spot because I'll definitely be a returning customer!

Their pricing is not bad for their quantity. The sauces are amazing. And their sit in service is quick and on point.

Went to the gun range and we decided to grab a bite after. Seated immediately and order was taken. This place seems to be a hit for families. No frills. Go in order your drinks and order a boil which is for 2...The island sauce which is a combination of all their sauces was amazing. The menu is decent and I would say priced well.

Honestly it's Valentine's Day and I called to set a reservation and I was told I wasn't able to. I was going to ask if it was busy but then the girl on the phone hung up on me. Soo we call again and asked if it's busy and we were told it's 50/50. I take my girlfriend right after the call and we come to a line inside and out the door. I come in to ask and now she wants to say a 30-40 minute wait. But what bothered me was she said she can take my name down to set a table even tho I called ahead for that exact reason and she said no. I love the place but today was ruined.

We went here for my daughters birthday and it went well. We got the wonton soup and it tasted like boiled water and hot sauce. Aside from that and the loud disrupting table beside us, (which was not the employees faults) we had a great time. We got the combo B with the tropical mix and medium spice it was great and flavorful but if you are sensitive to spice i recommend the mild. Our all time favorite thing we ate here was their snow crab legs. It was tender and they are huge.

I ordered via grubhub.. calmari basket and shrimp .. both were really good and fresh.. i don't have much experience with fresh seafood boils but loved the cajun and butter sauce with shrimp and corn.. will definitely go to this place sometime and try their other delicacies.

The meal was chosen to celebrate my wife and daughter's birthday in December. The food was absolutely delicious. And the portions were plentiful.

We celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday here. We saw the great reviews and wanted to give it a try. It was a little bit of a drive from our house, but it was worth it. All of us (including a 5 and 7 year old) were thrilled with our food and drinks. We tried a little bit of everything (raw, boiled, fried). The atmosphere was great. The people there were wonderfully attentive and accommodating. We went to a highly rated, "high end" seafood restaurant in Montclair last year for her birthday celebration. Crab Island Cajun Seafood was so much better, the portion sizes (food AND drink) were exceptional, and the prices were so much more reasonable. So worth the little bit of a drive for us. I hope to come back soon.

Best seafood ever! It's so fire and the price isnt outrageous like others. Run here don't walk! Food is fire and good service, also I LOVE the music they always play good music! The only reason is 4/5 is sometimes the wait on weekends and it could be cheaper

I wasn't sure about this place at first because of location but that changed when I tried the food and the service wasn't too bad. Appetizers were pretty decent. I had the Fried Scallops which were a pretty good size. Bigger than the ones at Red Lobster. Then tried my entree which consisted of the Fried Lobster Tail and seasoned fries. The fries weren't the greatest but I loved the fried lobster. Relaxing atmosphere. Music was acceptable. Seating was okay. Overall, not too bad.?

Drinks and food are top tier. Service is great, depending on the server you have. The ambiance is perfect for a quick meal or some happy hour drinks.

Love visiting crab island, the seafood boils are so flavorful, love adding eggs and corn to it and let those juices soak in. You got to wear the bib or else it can be real messy but worth it. Service is usually fast so I have no complaints.

Went to make a to go order, and though the restaurant was fully booked, customer service up front was friendly, professional, and prompt! My order took only 20 minutes to prepare, and everything was fresh and delicious. Next time, I'll go when it's not peak hour, and sit down to enjoy their tasty seafood and sides! A must try for all seafood lovers! They now have a regular customer! Worth the drive from Jersey City!

First time at Crab island Cajun seafood-what can I tell you we came here for an early dinner for my hubby's 63rd bday-amazing drinks Mary excellent bartender-Tiara excellent waitress-cook truly knows his flavors with that said-from drinks to dessert delicious delicious delicious. The restaurant is so inviting love the atmosphere great music can't imagine how fun it would be during the weekend.

Amazing food! Service was ok- the waitress was new...got the order wrong but food was amazing! Crab legs were loaded with meat and the special sauce- man listen...so so good! I will definitely be going back.

The crab and seafood was as advertised and we found it an enjoyable experience. Overall it was good food and quick service. When we went the restaurant had the AC cranking so my wife was little cold but otherwise it was great.

I was taken by my son to eat crab legs for my birthday. He chose Crab Island and they were fantastic. Great apps! We had the mussels in a garlic and tomato sauce and they were incredibly delicious. The sauce was so good I could have had it as a drink. Kiana our server was lovely and very sweet. I also tried a few more apps and they were all great. Then they brought over the seafood boil and OMG this things was fantastic! A couple of lobster tails, a pound of crab legs and a pound of shrimp. It even included sausages! It was so much food I could eat for two days. Not the.crab legs though I finished them legs at the table. They were so tasty! The place wasn't full because I went during lunch but I'm sure they get packed on the weekends and the evenings. The prices were reasonable and they even offered happy hour prices from 2-7 pm, with 6 dollar apps. Their drinks are good too, not super sweet like most places. The ambiance was cool with graffiti all over the restaurant, apparently they don't mind people writing their names on walls. A pretty cool spot for some food and drinks, I will be back!

The food was tasty but , the oyster fries barely had oysters . The crab fried rice had no crab at all . Just tasty plain rice and didn't approve of it tied in a plastic bag and served . Not worth it . I have eaten this rice at many restaurants. They were full of crab and eggs . This was just plain rice . So I don't think I got what I wanted or paid for .

It was a fabulous double-date over the weekend at this seafood spot in Clifton, NJ. Here's what was on our menu: -Fried Shrimp -Seafood Boil (Shrimp and Scallops) w/ Old Bay & Cajun spice - medium heat -Shrimp Fried Rice -Raw Oysters The service was also excellent. The only thing keeping this place from 5 stars are the cocktails...not really a fan. I definitely recommend this place for an evening out. It's also good for kids.

The daily specials or boils were very good. We tried the garlic butter mild. One bag was enough for 2. The fried fish baskets could have been fried a little longer. Fish was good but bland but too soft and not crispy. The fried shrimp was jumbo size but breading was bland. Overall it was excellent and we would come back again soon

We went for a late lunch, around 2pm, so it wasnt busy. Ordered the combo with Snow crab, 2 Lobster tails & shrimp in garlic sauce. It comes qith 2 corn on cob, sausage and potatoes $76 Sauce was amazing and there was enough food to fill 2 of us. Service was good. I had the watermelon mojito it was really good (though it needed another shot of Rum and they added it) We have been coming here since they opened and we have never been disappointed!! The seafood options are great because of how you can customize. The music and atmosphere are great. Service is attentive and very accommodating. Overall, a great option for a relaxing date night!

I absolutely love this place! The boil is amazing and the sauces are incredible. Our go to is the dungeness crab and lobster with the island special sauce. But what makes this place extra special is their customer service, very attentive and super friendly. They have a pretty good happy hour during the week. The drinks are great too!

Really a 3.5 just because the crab fries, fried spinach mozzarella ravioli and chicken dumpling were good. For the entree I made my own basket with clams, Dungeness crab and lobster tail in their signature sauce but mild. I think that is where I messed up because my catch lacked flavor. They do have great happy hour drinks and apps but probably won't be back.

Wanted to have seafood broil and ended up finding this place thanks to one of my sisters who has ordered from them via Uber Eats before. Their drinks are really good and so are their food. Their prices are not bad at all!

Huge fan of seafood Boil spots. I've been to many and I'm really happy and excited to say that this is the very best one I've been too. Everything just tastes better and fresher. They don't skimp on the seafood or sausage either! It's a nice sized restaurant with a full bar. They got it all, lobster, clams, mussels, crabs, name it. Love this spot!

The restaurant has a nice chill vibe, theme decor, and good music. There is plenty of parking. We ordered the Seafood combo B ($95) which has a little bit of everything. The waitress recommended the island seasoning which was a great choice. We were three people and the seafood combo B was enough for us to share. The food was great and seasoned very well. The drinks were also made well and strong. Definitely recommend everyone to try this place.

Try to order the Lobster roll if you want all bread and extremely minimal lobster that won't fill half the bread roll. Even the waitress was amazed and apologized. When she asked the owner to actually placed lobster the answer was order something else. I would never recommend this pit to anyone ever.

The girls and I were in the mood for crabs so swung by this place to get some. When we arrived I parked in the plaza parking lot. We were served by Aldana and she was nice. I ordered the Dungeness crabs and it came with corn and potatoes. My order had a hair in it so I had to send it back and I asked them if I could have the garlic pasta in the place of the corn and they said yes. The food was very good especially with the pasta mix. My bill came to about $16 total. If it wasn't for the hair issue I would of rated this spot better.

New seafood addition to the Clifton area. Seafood served cajun style and comes in a bag. We came for a quick take out on a holiday evening and this place was empty. Staffs were very quick and friendly and inside looked clean and fun. They have several promotion combos that I thought were great deals. For $79 dollars, we got a pound of shrimp, a pound of lobster tails, and a pound of crab legs. It came with corn, potato and sausage. You can pick your own sauce for the seafood and the spicy level. We got the island special sauce and median spicy We also got an order of the fried tilapia basket that came with a side of French fries. The tilapia basket was excellent. Big pieces of tilapia and fried until crispy. The fries were really good as well. The $79 dollars seafood combo however was just ok in my opinion. The island sauce was lacking in flavor but too overpowering at the same time. It was very spicy and extremely salty. It masked all the freshness and sweetness in the seafood and all I tasted was salt and spice. I have to say the shakin sauce from shaking crab is way superior. I do want to come here and try other items and give them another shot and I do hope this place succeeds

Came here on a Thursday night. Place wasn't too crowded. Service was great. We ordered the fried catfish basket, raw oysters, and their seafood bag(1/2lb Snow crab legs and 1/2lbMussels) in their special sauce that combines all their available sauces. The oysters were ok. Not the best quality but decent. The fried catfish was tasty, not oily. A bit too much batter but it was good. The seafood boil was good. The sauce was flavorful, snow crab legs were tasty and meaty, mussels were on the smaller side but with the sauce tasted good. Would come here again Oyster(3/5: Not the best quality but decent) Fried Catfish Basket(4/5: was tasty but a bit too much batter) Seafood boil(4/5: Sauce was flavorful. Snow crab legs had a good amount of meat. Mussels were a bit small but was good)

Great service. I think the portion was really good for the prices. Got some drinks and wings during happy hour at a good price and they tasted great. The shrimp was really good. The snow crab legs were alright.

I came here with my family after hearing good reviews. Ordered the calamaries, cajun fries, lobster roll and crab cake sandwiches only to find myself not enjoying it as the taste was a bit strange. Never came back until a friend of mine decided to celebrate his birthday here with friends, I reluctantly agreed to go. This time I ordered the scallops from the combo menu with the butter sauce and man... It felt like a michelin star chef made it, I was upset I didn't order this the first time I came here. I'll definitely be coming back again soon.

Excellent spot for Sea food. They have a great concept where they deliver your food in a inflated steam bag with your choice of seasoning flavorings. The Raw Oysters are my favorite appetizer to start out with. Crabs, Lobster, Scallops, Clams and Mussels all are always fresh!!
