I can’t remember the last time I visited a restaurant in a Boat & Car Park, but the Crab Shed does overlook parts of Salcombe.
Multiple sittings, so look lively on the eating front, we just about managed it.
Ordered the (Hot) Fruits de Mer for 2, should you decide the same, you do NOT need to order anything else !
Ambiance and Lighting not quite right, front of the bar features what appears to be industrial white lights, whilst the rear of the bar sits in virtual darkness.
Only food disappointment was the Bread, if I was a baker visiting a seafood and shellfish cathedral, I would be shocked that the restaurant valued their fresh food, but didn’t value ‘real’ bread.
If you want to test if your bread is bread, squash the open crumb with your thumb or forefinger, if the indent bounces back, it’s real bread, if your finger indent remains it’s not a good bread.
Happy Chefs, cheerful and very nice interactive staff.
Well done to all concerned.
The ‘Bread Man’ from hell will be back to visit The Crab Shed, stay tuned for any updates ……..
