Truly a wonderful hotel which provided two beds. One soft and one more firm which was perfect for my wife and I. Bathroom had the capability to be heated! Customers service: Thank you to Ollie who was our hostess and bar tender at night. This gentleman went the extra mile for us. We had an early flight the next day and had to miss their breakfast. I asked the front desk and they said they couldn’t do anything. I asked Ollie when I came to the restaurant and he really showed customer service. He went the extra mile to ask the head chef to pack something for us. My wife being pregnant was so thankful they packed us food. I mean we’re on top of a mountain with no food and had to drive straight 4 hours to the airport. Without Ollie, I don’t think we would have made it. This man deserves a raise and appraisal. He totally understands hospitality! Also the hotel next to the national park was pretty nice!

The rooms have recently been renovated and are modern, spacious and comfortable. Service at the bar, restaurant, and front desk was excellent. We also appreciated the free laundry facilities and detergent, although one of the machines was out of order. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The location is very convenient, just a few minutes from the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre. On the downside, the rollaway bed wasn’t very comfortable, I could feel the metal frame through the mattress. The soundproofing is not the best since the sound of people walking & running outside our rooms woke us up in the early mornings. The steak and fish at the restaurant during dinner were also a bit dry and tough. As other reviewers have mentioned, the wifi has a daily limit which we were not informed about but if you have data this wouldn't be a huge issue. Overall, though, our stay was comfortable and the biggest plus was the convenient location.

Convenient and good value hotel. Very close to the famous walks of cradle Mountain. We were really impressed with the food at the restaurant. Every dish was mouth-watering much better than I expected from a hotel restaurant and their wine list was very good as well. The staff were friendly and helpful. I can't speak highly enough of the service we received.

All the staff we had contact with were superb, nothing too much trouble. Room had view of woodland with the mountains in the background. Breakfast had international appeal, whilst the dinner menu was limited. Our trout and steak were cooked to our liking, and were a good portion. Hotel is just 3 minutes by road from the National Park entrance and visitor centre

What a truly amazing stay. Cradle Mountain Hotel was just perfect. The rooms were great, so clean and well presented. Large bathroom which was great. The linen was so luxurious and the towels were big and fluffy. The staff were so friendly and very well trained. Nothing was an issue and they were happy to help and chat with you. The food was divine! And all served with a smile and a kind word. We had the prepacked lunches for a hike on Cradle Mountain and even they were fantastic. Heaps to eat and drink and it included fruit and snacks. They also had the dinner staff bring out a slice of cheesecake and sing Happy Birthday to my travel buddy which brought so much joy to her. You felt there feeling like you really had been spoilt. (and wanting to take the sheets) We had snagged a great off season deal and even got a bit of snow to make our visit complete!!! We can't recommend Cradle Mountain Hotel enough!!!!

We were impressed from the moment we arrived. The staff have been very helpful and provided tips to get around Cradle Mountain. Prior to our arrival we upgraded to a split level room and we weren’t disappointed. The beds are extremely comfy, the shower was amazing. We enjoyed afternoon drinks around the fireplace a great place to relax and unwind. Every meal was delicious. Thank you Cradle Mountain Hotel we will definitely visit again,

Google
Conveniently located outside of cradle mountain national park which boosted its popularity among those who wish to stay near the park. The room is vintage but it serves the purpose for an overnight stay. The wifi provided has a daily limit of 3gb & I only found out when I used past the limit. In my humble opinion, the desk could have emphasis it at check in since majority of the hotel provide unlimited wifi in this day & age.

Great hotel but ……… we didn’t get the room we had booked which was a bad start. We booked one king bed and got two standard doubles (small ones); this may suit some couples but was not what we had requested. Reception were unable to move us as the hotel was fully booked.| Otherwise, we did not think anything was dated? Our room was spacious, the linens clean and the bed comfortable. The lounges with fires on both wings were great places to sit and chat with other guests. The food was decent, we had the bar menu in the evening which was just ok but the breakfast was excellent and plentiful considering where you are. |The weather was atrocious the day we arrived but cleared enough for our visit to the mountain the next day. |Enjoyed our time here and would be happy to stay there again (so long as we got the right bed next time)

Yelp
We were staying at the Cradle Mountain Hotel so we ate dinner at the Altitude Restaurant every night of our stay. We decided to opt for the buffet - which was perfect for us after a day of walking and only a light lunch. The buffet featured seasonal and local produce and the selections changed daily. Everyday they had a live cooking station with a chef cooking a different dish to order. We thought that the food was excellent and reasonable value for money. The service staff were excellent - very professional.

Yelp
Ate at the Altitude Restaurant in the hotel. They have an a la carte section and a buffet section ($48 for dinner adults). Their signature dish is a trio of meats (beef, lamb, and wallaby) from local producers. Served raw on your table, and you cook yourself on hot lava stones ($39). It sounds exciting, but in theory the meat comes out either undercooked or overcooked, and not well seasoned. A better dish was what I had, which was the porterhouse steak ($34) from a nearby farm on Mt Roland. It was grilled pretty well, and quite tasty. However, the mash that it was served it was very watery, and the veg side was average. Overall, an OK meal. But I guess you can't be picky with such few choices for dining at Cradle Mountain.

Yelp
Called in to Cradle Mountain Hotel for a look. Ended up eating lunch. Had the steak sanga with chips. Absolutely delicious. Apart from that Cradle mountain didn't do much for me, except waste a few hrs driving time on our way to Strahan. Prob won't do that again.

Yelp
Nice hotel, walls are a bit thin so you can hear people stomping around in the corridors. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Great place to stay if you want to do a trek. Facilities are clean. There is a free 15 min boardwalk and gallery. Nice restaurant but is a bit pricey but they do a good buffet. Pillows are a bit soft and mattress slightly sunken. Heating works well. They sell Cradle Mountain passes if required. They have a spa as well. They also have tea and coffee facilities.
