Cradle Mountain Hotel

We had a very enjoyable, cosy stay on a cold Winter night at this hotel. Great amenities including a convenient restaurant with amazing food. The breakfast buffet was top notch! Lots of places to relax around the hotel and a 5-star service from staff who were so friendly and helpful! It is also very close to the Cradle Mountain visitor centre which was convenient.

We had the most amazing dinner at Cradle Mountain Hotel. It was to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday and had booked for 22 people. The hotel asked us to pre order which we did. On arrival we were warmly greeted by staff and shown to our tables. The service was faultless, the food came out when requested and it was absolutely delicious and very well presented. To my surprise the chef had organised a birthday dessert for my dad and the restaurant sang him happy birthday. Nothing was too much trouble and it was very reasonably priced when compared with similar venues in the area. We were all so impressed and have decided to try their accommodation next time we visit Cradle Mountain. So impressed. Thank you!

Our stay at the hotel was very comfortable. It was lovely to return to a warm, clean and inviting hotel following our long walks. We particularly noticed a waiter called Andres who was brilliant at his job and really friendly. Our family loved our stay and will happily stay again.

AMAZING!!! We had the most amazing experience at the Cradle Mountain Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was amazing every staff member was welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.||The room was beautiful, newly renovated and incredibly clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in!||We were also blown away by the food. Every meal the steak and lamb shanks was to die for, and the buffet breakfast was delicious.||Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Cradle Mountain. Easily one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had!

Good quality hotel in close proximity to the Cradle Mountain National Park. Breakfast was a little crazy with only a few staff on deck. Dinner much better managed with excellent service from the waiter staff. Accommodations were fine - it’s the little things that annoy - our door was very loud to open and close. It looked like it’s been like that for ages. I loved the quality of the common-room fire places. I really enjoyed staying here. There are many days worth of trekking and exploration. The food was excellent, especially at dinner. Please try the restaurant here. Noteworthy and deserving of praise.

Just about everything was perfect with our stay of two days in June. Large rooms with outlooks into the bush, private lounge rooms with fires and comfy furniture welcoming guests, a large restaurant serving wonderful cuisine and full buffet breakfasts built into the Tariff for our stay - all went to make our stay effortless. Two things which I believe could be improved with the rooms: the shower recesses in these large rooms are absurdly tiny and insufficient for getting the job done and although our room had two lovely looking beds, they were only doubles (unusual for a modern hotel) and very unusually soft which was bad for my back. With the soft bed and small width, you felt like you were sleeping in a beanbag! I ended up occupying the opposite bed, which worked well for one guest only!! I’m not sure if all rooms were similar, although I guess they are and altering that many rooms (probably 40 all up), would be expensive, but doing so, would make the stay perfect in every way.

We had a fantastic experience at Cradle Mountain Hotel while celebrating my partner’s birthday. We felt truly cared for and very well attended to throughout our stay. It’s a place we will always keep fondly in our memories.||We loved everything about the room, the beautiful surroundings, and the breakfast. Andres at breakfast took great care of us and provided exceptional service. Akash at the reception when arriving as well. The entire staff was very friendly and welcoming.||The only downsides were the very limited vegetarian options on the restaurant's menu and that the bar food quality could be improved quite a bit. Also, it would be great to have Netflix available on the TV for some extra entertainment.||Overall, a wonderful stay in a stunning location with warm hospitality. Highly recommended :)

We absolutely loved our stay at Cradle Mountain Hotel. The room was cozy & clean. Food was amazing from Altitude Restaurant. Staff were friendly - a special mention for Jarno & Andy, who went above and beyond for us every time we were in the bar or restaurant.

We were staying at the Cradle Mountain Hotel so we ate dinner at the Altitude Restaurant every night of our stay. We decided to opt for the buffet - which was perfect for us after a day of walking and only a light lunch. The buffet featured seasonal and local produce and the selections changed daily. Everyday they had a live cooking station with a chef cooking a different dish to order. We thought that the food was excellent and reasonable value for money. The service staff were excellent - very professional.

Ate at the Altitude Restaurant in the hotel. They have an a la carte section and a buffet section ($48 for dinner adults). Their signature dish is a trio of meats (beef, lamb, and wallaby) from local producers. Served raw on your table, and you cook yourself on hot lava stones ($39). It sounds exciting, but in theory the meat comes out either undercooked or overcooked, and not well seasoned. A better dish was what I had, which was the porterhouse steak ($34) from a nearby farm on Mt Roland. It was grilled pretty well, and quite tasty. However, the mash that it was served it was very watery, and the veg side was average. Overall, an OK meal. But I guess you can't be picky with such few choices for dining at Cradle Mountain.

Called in to Cradle Mountain Hotel for a look. Ended up eating lunch. Had the steak sanga with chips. Absolutely delicious. Apart from that Cradle mountain didn't do much for me, except waste a few hrs driving time on our way to Strahan. Prob won't do that again.

Nice hotel, walls are a bit thin so you can hear people stomping around in the corridors. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Great place to stay if you want to do a trek. Facilities are clean. There is a free 15 min boardwalk and gallery. Nice restaurant but is a bit pricey but they do a good buffet. Pillows are a bit soft and mattress slightly sunken. Heating works well. They sell Cradle Mountain passes if required. They have a spa as well. They also have tea and coffee facilities.
