enjoyed the dinner at hellyers during our stay in the village! the food was solid, views were amazing and service was memorable (special shoutout to andres!) corn ribs: well cooked and flavorful, good side roasted pumpkin: must try! sticky, sweet, creamy scotch fillet: would skip this next time. wasn’t medium rare and slightly overcooked. lacked the crisp tiramisu: modern take and delicious!

The service at Hellyers restaurant is truly exceptional, thanks to the outstanding customer service we got from Edward. He was attentive in every way, recommending wine pairings with our meal. From the moment you arrive, they make you feel genuinely welcome with their polite and professional manner. They go above and beyond to ensure every guest is looked after, addressing any request with efficiency and a warm smile. You can tell they set the standard for excellent service. It’s rare to find a manager who blends courtesy, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality so perfectly. Dining here is always a pleasure because of the atmosphere they create and the personal attention they give. Can’t wait to return!

We had a fantastic dinner here after starting with Tasmanian Quail recommended by the young guy who served our table (not sure if he is manager. Sorry forgot to ask his name). I had lamb shank and my husband had Tasmanian Salmon. All the dishes were so well cooked and delicious. Service could not be better. There was a minor error about our order and the restaurant took the initiative to offer us a discount. It shows the restaurant really treasures its customers. We would definitely come back next time when we visit the cradle mountain again in summer/autumn. Highly recommended!

Sure, there aren't that many dining options in the area, but this place serves objectively great food! Particularly memorable items include the wallaby tortellini, the quail and the prawn pasta. Be sure to make a reservation prior, I'm confident you'll have a great time.

We had a wonderful experience at Hellyers Restaurant during our stay in Cradle Mountain. Andres was incredibly warm and welcoming, which made the dining experience very pleasant. For lunch, we tried the seafood pizza – fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. Dinner was just as impressive: the pan-seared quail, grilled broccolini, and lamb shank. The lamb shank in particular was a standout – beautifully tender and full of flavor. The ambience was cozy and inviting, the perfect shelter from the snow outside. A truly memorable dining experience in the mountains – highly recommend Hellyers for anyone visiting Cradle Mountain!

Absolutely spectacular from the service to the food. The very knowledgeable waiter who had created the wine list was very helpful in recommending a Pinot Noir for us. We had a toddler and baby with us and we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommend

Wow! The food was delicious - we had the wallaby tortellini, lamb rump, market fish and miso custard tart. The service was quick and the staff were very polite.

Cozy restaurant and definitely the closest dining option if you’re staying around Cradle Mountain. I’d suggest getting takeaway as the queue can get quite long, available until 7:30 pm, so best to come before then. We ordered Chicken and Salami pizzas for the family, both tasted great. Friendly staff too!
