Discovery Resorts - Cradle Mountain

The rooms are in container like cabins (well made and you wouldn't know from the inside). The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The location is great and just outside the Cradle Mountain Visitors Centre. The restaurant, Hellyers, has great food too. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Cradle Mountain.

We stayed here for a second time and really enjoyed it. The cabins are lovely, well equipped with everything you'd need and some thoughtful extras for the colder climates - hello, heated towel rail! The lodge and restaurant are both great with delicious food and a wide selection of drinks. Our chalet was lovely and clean, and the staff were very friendly throughout our stay. You can order breakfast and lunch provisions for your days in/out and the hot chocolate and cookies to take with you on your hiking adventures are so good. A two minute drive to the visitor centre - perfectly located. We would stay here again next time we visit.

Overall we had a really pleasant stay here. The cabins were neat and tidy, bed comfy and plenty of heating as it was very cold even in November. The resort lounge and bar area was really cosy with a fire raging. We didn't use the restaraunt seating area as we preferred to sit by the open fire and the bar menu was fine for us. Snow was our highlight....and a fair bit of it too!

We got cabin with 2 bed rooms but the cabin is extremely tiny. No space to move if all 4 adults and 2 kids are all sitting at the dining table. Towel is worn out and very hard. I did not want to take a shower there. I would not recommend for travelling with kids. Especially if you need some little space to do homework

REVIEW SPECIFICALLY FOR THE LOUNGE. Lovely aesthetics and professional staff. Expect high prices, which is understandable considering the isolated location. The food was delicious. Bathrooms were clean but need a reno to match the lovely lounge area. Background music was a bit tacky, I personally felt the fairly loud pop that was playing didn't match the relaxing vibe, but I am a fussy one with that 😂. Its a good spot to unwind after a long day of hiking (especially after taking a face full of snow atop cradle mountain).

First time visiting Cradle Mountain, and we chose to stay at this resort. We had booked a chalet for 3, but when another child decided to come along, the receptionist was incredibly helpful. She went the extra mile by contacting her manager and doing everything possible to find a solution, even though both resorts were fully booked. Thanks to Crystal’s initiative, we were offered the emergency cabin, and within minutes our booking was adjusted — completely hassle-free. The accommodation was great, the service outstanding, and having restaurants on-site made it very convenient. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Cradle Mountain. Highly recommended.

Probably one of the best accomodation in cradle mountain, but it does come with the price. Stay was great and privacy was pretty much there. Of course being in a secluded area, reception only opens at 8.30, but you can drop off your keys before then. Do note it’s a fully equipped chalet so house keeping is not done unless requested.

we have a cabin room which is fit our group, the location is easy to find just right opposite the park entrance. the room is clean, all kitchen tools are fully equipped, we have stove, fireplace, and fridge which let us make a great dinner and breakfast. the rooms, the beds , pillows, are all good yet the bed is a bit too soft for us. the staffs are nice and friendly, all good.

A well situated cabin near to Cradle Mountain. Warm and cozy; self contained however no wifi.
