Wow! Awesome spot!!! We showed up 15 minutes early, not realizing the time, but the owner was there and opened up early just for us. The beer was phenomenal, the food was great (we got the quesadilla), and the service was outstanding! The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming! Everyone should make an effort to visit C&G when you’re in town.

My wife and I visited C&G last night for the first time before walking to the Cotton Bowl for the Dallas Trinity FC match. We liked the cozy space and were served in a most friendly and expert manner by Richard. We did not know about C&G Brewing. We drank three of their in house beers and all were outstanding. The burrito and chips and salsa were delicious and fairly priced. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and definitely will return!

Google
Smaller space for a brewery but a lot of different beer options to choose from, with a few other brewery options at the end, on tap, not from this place. They also have some burger/sandwich options for food, which is always appreciated. Their beer options are interesting with their description, but subtle when you try it. For instance, they have a beer with pepper included in the description. However, I got very little pepper when I tried it on my flight. That being said, I still enjoyed the beers I got. I just personally enjoy big, bold favors. That's just my personal preference. My burger I ordered hit the spot. Good quality ingredients. This is more of an intimate, local brewery. I've been here before, last summer, when they hosted a local brewing event for home brewers, which was great. I recommend this place for those who want to try new beer, without the crowd.

Can’t believe this place has been down here this whole time. Really good food and a vast selection of beer. The tables are nice and clean and the atmosphere here is extra chill. The staff had a cool vibe too. Our food did not take long at all and they were attentive. Pleasant experience for sure. Also there is free parking. This place is awesome. Thank you to Kendall for the effort and hospitality. We will be back!

Google
An oasis! So many beers to try. I am not a beer drinker but I found 2 that I just loved! Truly something for everyone. Kitchen was closed but we got some tacos to go from down the street. The music was 80s…some obscure 80s tunes that we struggled to remember the words to. It was awesome! We got there right at opening but soon the place filled up. People playing games, people watching, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. Can’t wait to come back. Staff was excellent!

Google
Fun place across the street from Fair Park that has a ton of craft beers on tap. The bartender opened the bar for the 4th of July simply because she loves the place so much. I didn’t get to try the burgers so I’ll have to hit this spot again!

Google
It’s rare for a place to have more than one or two stout options. I was pleasantly surprised to see a list of stouts. The Billy Club Nitro stout is my favorite. Their current Pitch Dark Coffee stout is brewed with coffee beans from the local shop Noble Coyote, giving you the best of both worlds in one glass. Their variety of milk stouts are a great finish after a serving of their house rub chicken wings. Their birria tacos and chicken sandwich are also delicious options. There is something for everyone with their variety of IPAs, lagers, ciders, sours, meads and more. The atmosphere is clean, family friendly and welcoming. I would suggest checking out their instagram for their live music updates. It’s amazing to see an establishment so involved and proud of their local community and supporting local artists. Just more reasons to comeback to this rare gem.

Yelp
Great location! They offer a 5oz pour which is a great way to try more beers. I am a huge fan of the 5oz pour! Super friendly beertenders. They are knowledgeable of their taps. Many beer selection brewed in house and a handful of other local offerings. I tried two of their craft brews. They were a bit sweet for my preference. However overall a wonderful experience and will definitely come back with my brew crew.

Yelp
Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly service. Nice 80's playlist going. Good beer. Bar food was good. They accommodated our request for 'cheese' fries even though cheese wasn't on the menu. Good place to grab a couple beers and just wind down.

Yelp
Watch your step upon entering. There are signs posted but beware of a potential trip hazard when coming though the door. This roomy bar, had a wide variety of craft beer on tap. QR codes on the bar, allow patron to view the entire beer menu, with the option of tasting any beer on the menu. I opted for the Quadrophenia, it was a robust, sweet, hoppy brew with a high alcohol content. There was a food specials but this seemed to be a novelty. It was clear that food was not the centerpiece. So we passed on the food and just had beer. As we sit at the bar, they have screen showing blooper reals that helped to keep patrons entertained......If this isn't enough to keep you entertained, then maybe you're lucky enough to patronize on a night when they have live music. The relaxed vibe goes well with craft beer. The live music is a bonus.

Yelp
Owner operated bar Owner himself brews the beer You can tell they truly love what they do Love the music and the intimate vibe Taco Bravo tacos are so authentic and are absolutely made with love Beer Tacos Music ...heaven??

Yelp
I love this place! Especially that they have Peticolas, not to mention that the bar food is great and bartender makes you feel like you are part of the CG family!

Yelp
Delicious and creative beer, I'll miss Burger Schmurger but the new food pairs pretty well with the beer

Christina B.

Yelp
We were looking for a pre-concert venue to eat and drink and am so glad we found this place. The stouts on tap were amazing and so was the food. We had the quesabirria tacos, which were fantastic. The service was great, too!
google avatar

Bailie J.

Yelp
Beer was nice and cold... Food was not good. I ordered the Maverick, so did my partner- both came out with completely burnt buns, and when we said something we were told, "sorry about that" and no solution was offered. My mom ordered separately and her food was never even made... instead of being accommodating- they refunded the money for the burger only and offered to make her a new one, but our concert started too soon and the first time around it was a 35 minute wait. We were going to a concert across the street and will not be back here again. Convenient to Music Hall, but nothing else good about this place!

Tom K.

Yelp
Food great, beer cold. Service excellent. Checked it out before a concert at Dos Equis. Great alternative will be visiting before every show. Had pizza - phenomenal!

Jlady R.

Yelp
Customer service great!! Food not so great, tasted like the wings were pre-cooked and then heated up in the microwave , a no-no for restaurants to use, but that's what it tasted like in reality I don't know if that's what they did. The pizza tasted like frozen pizza. But I don't drink beer and it is a beer place and they make their own beers which might be great!
google avatar

Diane S.

Yelp
Always great service and of course a wonderful rotation beers. Always something for everyone. Hate that the " new normal " has kept us away more than usual. So glad they are open, filling growlers crowlers and pouring pints. Masks in place and social distancing at community tables.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place! Great beer! Great food! Friendly knowledgeable staff! First time visit but we'll be back. Large variety of craft beer. So many choices! The burgers were tasty, and the fries cooked perfectly. The owner and staff were so nice. And you could feel the pride they have in their business when you talked to them. What's not to like?

Cynthia E.

Yelp
Enjoyed a Crackberry Cider and a Yuzu Sourflyer, both were excellent. Top notch service and conversation with the beer tender. Will be back!
google avatar

Michelle Z.

Yelp
This place is super friendly and extremely acommodating. We had a group of 6 that was a block away 30 minutes before the kitchen closed. When we called they where kind enough to stay open so we could all place a food order and enjoy ourselves over the next two hours with the wide variety of craft beers they had available. I did a flight and took the bartenders opinion for my last selection. We had an amazing night. This place is well priced and worth it.
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
The beer is great. The food is great. But holy crap, guys, you have to get staffed right... big concert directly across the street and you have one bartender and one cook scheduled? Food running an hour? 30 min in line just to close your tab? So many people just gave up and walked out. You could have easily tripled your sales/profits if you just staffed up ‍
google avatar

Craig B.

Yelp
Wonderful people and worth the drive. Loved every brew I sampled and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Bartender was knowledgeable of the beers and gave me a great recommendation. It's a cold spot for sure !

Yelp
We were on the hunt for german beer when we ran into this place and it was actually great! Not mad at stopping at this location at all! Customer service was on point very attentive and was ready to help us find what we were looking for! We got 2 craft beers along with the Mr.Peanutbuttet Burger which was different but good! Never would have thought a peanut butter and jelly in a burger would work but it did! Definitely have to stop by if your in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
Their hours say they're open, and people are inside, yet the doors are locked and they're not letting people in/out. Fire hazard?!

Robyn R.

Yelp
Stopped by for a bite before a show. Have a great selection of beers and one of the best burgers I've had in awhile. Friendly staff. Will return.

Yelp
This place has been around a while but I just started making it a priority for visits after work to pick up a little 64oz of goodness! Les has been great during every visit and can make some great recommendations. The location is BYOF- Bring your own food, so you can pick up something from your favorite spot and eat it there in their spacious pub. Lots of IPAs and Stouts on tap to choose from. Come and pick up a growler or two or three!
google avatar

Yelp
This place has so much going for it right now - you will be doing yourself a huge favor if you check it out! First, the beers - they are varied, excellent, and well displayed on the digital menus above the bar. One of the big things I've noticed here in DFW is the amazing quantity and quality of the local brews. No other area in the country has so many breweries. You will find something here to love! Second, but really first for me, was the food. Their spicy chicken sandwich was phenomenal and was just so nice with beer. The fries are excellent; thin shoestrings and they're not greasy or overly salted. I had no idea walking into this place that the food here was going to be the star and it was a great surprise! I've been to many breweries and bars with food but none have the combo down like this place. The cubano sandwich is also the most excellent one I've ever had. I'd say something clever like "Come for the beer, stay for the food" but really, COME HERE FOR BOTH. Very friendly staff, great neighborhood, tons of parking, and, from some seats you can see Reunion Tower! Very cool! Do yourself a favor and check this place out! You will love it!

Yelp
Me and my co workers were looking for good beers in Dallas and all signs pointed to Craft and Growler. Rightfully so because the beer selection will please any beer lover. We arrived to forty plus beers on tap and growlers, lots of growlers for purchase. The bartenders were knowledgeable about the beers and poured up samples for any beer we wanted to taste before ordering. After a few samples, I chose the Dogfish Head Burton Baton for my first round. Very hoppy with small hints of vanilla here and there is the best way to describe it's flavor. I finished my first glass and order another for my second round. I think it goes without saying I enjoyed it haha. I switched things up ordering a Founders Breakfast Stout for the third. The Breakfast Stout was thicker and had a chocolate coffee flavor. Compared to the Burton Baton that I could chug easily, the Breakfast Stout was more for sipping and mellowing with which I did. In addition to good brews the crowd was chill. Everyone having there own conversations while giving cheers across the bar. If you're in Dallas and are thirsty for brews, this place is the spot! Drinks 2/2/2018

Yelp
Can't believe this place even exist. Only reason it has one star is because I can't give it zero stars. The wings was decent, but the beef patty stuffed with American cheese was disgusting. Please save Dallas abs shut this place down. Beer left a lot to be desired. How do you serve hot beer?
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
I reviewed C&G back in 2014 with 5 stars and I am still in love with this place. We live much closer now so we visit Craft & Growler about 3 times a week. The crew is wonderful! They are knowledgeable about the beer they serve and can help with suggestions when you want to try something new. They are a funny group and incredibly nice! They have a live tap list on their website and the digital pour app, so you can always see what is available before you head in. You should also check out their social media pages because they have weekly deals for to-go growler fills. There is bar seating and then several large tables for singles to large groups.
google avatar

Eddie R.

Yelp
I rarely give any place 5 stars but this place has their craft together. Their knowledgeable bartenders can point you in the right direction. No food here but you can always bring your own, they also are affiliate with a nearby place that can bring the food to you. Regardless you don't come here for that, beer and more beer is why you come here. Bring your growlers and take home your favorite brew. The atmosphere is relaxed and not stuffy and yes you can even buy a growler if you don't have one to take home. Tip: they have tons of cool events so watch out for that. Last year they had a valentines pairing with chocolates and beer. This year they are doing cupcakes and beer. Genius!

Yelp
I don't really know much about craft beer, or what even makes it different than imported or domestic beer, and I'm not even sure I like it that much. I probably just need to learn more, and learn what I like and don't like. Any who... That did not stop me from enjoying this place. First off, props for playing Reverend Horton Heat overhead. Secondly, we need more places in this area. The Expo area used to be badass, and it needs to be revived. Tres (that's three in Spanish) I love that this place supports the local eateries. I swear I heard that Meridian Room or Pizza Lounge delivers, but if I heard that wrong I know you can bring their food in. I came in yesterday tired, so I ordered a flight of beer just based on the names of the beers. I love the set up. $10. You get four beers and a paddle like thing where you write the numbers of the beer you want, and then the bartenders pour them for you. Easy peasy. They sell growlers obviously in a lot of different sizes, and even home brewing kits. Very cool. I will be back! PS - try the Abita Root Beer. Omg - so good.
google avatar

Mitchell R.

Yelp
So love that they are hip with social media. Follow me on Twitter and IG @MitchellRenz365 ;) As for the beer. The selection is impressive and the flights are reasonable price, plus they allow you to taste any beer. The games are fun and one of my top spots for beer tasting in Dallas
google avatar

Joe T.

Yelp
Is the Growler part in reference to their bartenders? How does it have such high reviews? The only reason I'm giving 2 stars (instead of 1) is because I happen to like the decor and beer selection. When we arrived on 4/29 we were barely acknowledged (there was 3 other customers inside), the bartender with the long ass beard was just rude, not helpful, no eye contact and didn't even say anything when he gave me the check. WTH? Immediately after he gave us the flight, he scurried around the corner to play on his phone. If you want craft beer with great service go to one of the many Breweries around town like Four Corners, Braindead, Community, Pegasus, etc. If you want more variety and a growler fill, go to Whole Foods.

Kelly M.

Yelp
Love it here! Very chill place! The drinks are amazing! There's just something about the ambience. Oh and the food! (Chefs kiss) AMAZING!

David R.

Yelp
Craft and Growler is under new ownership and the changes are good! They have an impressive and eclectic lineup of beers (both onsite brewed and third party) and the burgers received rave reviews from everyone in our part who tried them. Definitely worth a stop!

Cristy R.

Yelp
Fantastic beer selection. Staff/service was great. They really know their beer. Food was great too!

Justin S.

Yelp
Great place! Owner is an awesome guy who is super caring and will tend to all your needs and they have some great IPAs! The owner, Kendall is super friendly and amazing!! Definitely check it out!

Yelp
The nerve of the Harry Potter trivia people here on 2/04/2020. I'm enjoying a beer during their Harry Potter trivial extravaganza and the person coordinating the event comes up to me half way through and says i need to pay $7 to be around them. 1st of all this isn't a private party and second why Are you harassing me for money when I'm not participating in your event and it's not private. Let me enjoy me beer and mind my own business. Here is the picture of the harasser below. Never again smh!!
google avatar

Alicia M.

Yelp
We've been fans of this place for a long time. The beer selection is wonderful and it's great to be able to get beers you can't get easily in other places around DFW. They recently started serving food. We tried the chicken sandwich. It has sweet horseradish pickles, ghost pepper cheese, garlic aioli, and jalapeño bread. It was sweeter than we expected but we both still liked it even though we usually prefer spicy. The fries are really solid too.
google avatar

Alicia V.

Yelp
We added this place on our brewery tour but unfortunately we missed the kitchen cutoff time to enjoy their famous burgers (tears!!). So next time we visit Dallas, this will be at the top of our list for DAY drinking lol. They have rotating beers on tap and the barista was nice. Would definitely recommend you check it out.
google avatar

Diane D.

Yelp
I'm not much of a beer drinker so I it's not their fault if this isn't my cup of tea so I will give a 4-star rating. The time I went, I was with my cycling group who decided to stop in for drink on our way back to the lake. The place is clean and spacious with lots of TV's and a huge selection of beer choices. They've also got a bunch of board games, etc., as you enter the establishment in case you want something entertaining to do while you're guzzling beer. I wasn't sure what kind of beer to order so I mentioned something I had at a Ft. Worth brewery and the guy behind the bar was super-helpful and knowledgeable and recommended a close alternative to what I was describing. Overall, good experience for someone who's not really into beer.

Yelp
Oh man! I love the new Jucy Lucille! If you've had the original Jucy Lucy in Minneapolis, you will love that you can get this beauty right here in Dallas. A cheese filled patty with grilled onions and pickles is a great size and comes with fries or you can add a side Greek salad for $1.00.
google avatar

Yelp
I can't believe it's taken me this long to review this place. Craft and Growler has been one of my favorite places in Dallas for years. Definitely holds a special place in my heart. It was the first craft beer bar in Dallas, and still holds strong with plenty of different craft options on tap as well as in cans and bottles. Good selection of bombers, too, although usually I'm there just for the pours. Prices are average for a growler bar. Nice rotating selection. Staff is generally awesome. I have made friends with some of the beertenders. I just went back recently after not visiting for quite some time and love the updates. Great pizza next door or you can get delivery, although I hear that now they are selling food here as well, but I can't speak to it's deliciousness as I haven't tried it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that sometimes parking sucks, especially during events (state fair, etc.) as the lot behind is kind of small. Would give 4.5 if I could. That seems more fair. Either way, C&G will always be my first growler bar love.
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
Beer was great. Atmosphere was awesome. Board games were a blast. I would have given the place 5 stars but the un-professionalism of the bartenders ruined this place for me. They were absolutely hammered. I'm not talking have a drink or two over a shift with a customer, I'm talking walking behind the partition to rip shots hammered. The two bartenders that were working Friday 10/13 were walking behind where the kegs to take shots (this place only serves beer btw). I overheard one say "You need to get on my level!" followed by "oh please I had 4 beers before I got to work, you catch up". The result was uncomfortably having watching the two flirt with each other for every beer someone ordered followed by an unnecessary attitude when trying to get their attention. When it came time to close my tab I had to walk up and down the bar 4 times over 15 min time span to get one of the drunk bartenders attention, only to have him literally throw my receipt at me. Mind you there were able 15 people at the bar it was not crowded. To management, please insure your employees come to work sober and treat the clientele with respect. This place is forever tainted for me and my friends.

Yelp
Despite being called a bitch from time to time, I am, in fact, a sophisticated lady. And while many assume "ladies" only partake in frou-frou cocktails utilizing top shelf spirits, I have been known to enjoy beer. And anytime I have a hankering for some good ol' Texas craft beer, I often find myself wandering over to Craft and Grrrrrowler to quench my thirst. Their beer lineup is solid, if not exceptional, particularly focused on regional breweries. They offer both full pours and smaller samples, including flights. And of course growler fills are their specialty. Craft and Growler is in a bit of an up-and-coming area, and cool places like C&G are helping to spur that change. Unfortunately, in the meantime, I usually have to make a special trip to get there, as there isn't much else nearby. The venue itself feels a bit like a bar meets trendy coffee shop...laid-back and casual. They even have couches for people that need something soft to sit on. And as you know, dog-friendly locations always get a special shout-out in my reviews. Oh, and the selection of non-alcoholic doggy beer for less-sophisticated palates is an especially thoughtful offering. A nice mix of regional and out-of-state taps for on-site drinking, growlers to-go, and a respectable collection of bottles makes this a go-to destination when I have visitors from out of town and want to show off our local beer scene.
google avatar

Aleksei M.

Yelp
The focus is on craft and imported beer here. My brother and I were touring around Dallas when got caught in a nasty storm which later turned into a tornado warning. Luckily this place was open and close by, so we decided to wait things out and dry ourselves off over a few pints. The 512 Pecan Porter was excellent - I'd never heard of nuts used in brewing beer. The only shortcoming in our circumstances was that they only had snacks like pretzels and peanuts. But the tornado was not their fault. They also had a variety of bottled and canned beers and all kinds of different growlers. If I were a local, I'd probably go once a week.
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Great spot for craft beer in the expo park/deep ellum area. I usually come here early and usually after a haircut at Robs Chop Shop. Whenever I am here the staff is very knowledgeable in the product and can make a great recommendation. It's the OG growler bar in Dallas if not DFW. Always worth a visit.
google avatar

Alex N.

Yelp
I'll keep it simple. Come on a full stomach, or intend to eat post libations (Meridian will eventually be serving food, until then, drink your calories). Go. Drink. Take home a full growler (can stay unopened for up to a month, after opening drink withing 48 hours). Drink from the Growler at home, try to share. Return. Drink. Fill. Repeat.
google avatar

Leigh P.

Yelp
I came to Craft and Growler very hung over. Yes, it's my own damn fault and my liver is still lookin' at me sideways... but I tagged along to a lunchtime swig and hey, hair of the dog and all... C&G is a cool ass spot in the area of Fair Park (think neighbors with Amsterdam bar). There are lots of big windows and a large bar and a lot of long tables for drankin'. Being a craft beer joint, I don't see this ever being a real big scene or anything... but know there's plenty of room to rest your booty while you sip your fancy craft "nobody's ever heard of it" brand of beer. Of course, there's a big wall of growlers you can buy and fill for your at home libation enjoyment. Since I was SO hung over, the fella behind the counter also gave me an Abita Root Beer they have on tap. Heavenly. And probably what saved my life that day. Thank you, funny beer man, for giving me that big mug o' root beer. *smooches*!
google avatar

Anthony B.

Yelp
I like. Chill place with a ton of local craft brews to choose from. Don't have a growler? It's all good, you don't need one, they have plenty. Or you could just order by the glass... I like the atmosphere. It's got a bit of a hipster vibe to it, I'm far from one (I couldn't grow a beard or stache if my life depended on it), but I don't think I was judged too harshly the few times I've been. The crowd is friendly there and the way seating is set up (giant picnic style tables, when it gets crowded, you're sitting with others whether you like it or not) - it encourages you to have conversations with those around you. That's something you don't get often in Dallas. Staff is cool and is helpful when you're not exactly sure what you want but sputter some broad and generic descriptions on what you're looking for. The place is sort of out in the middle of nowhere, but its worth giving a shot.
google avatar

Scott A.

Yelp
This place just has the right idea. From the wide array of beer choices, to the calm demeanor of the interior, you can't go wrong with taking any libation lover here for a good time. Staff is awesome, location fits the build and you can take your favorite beer home in your personal Growler. Just go!
