After much deliberation one Friday evening, my boyfriend and I decided to get dinner at Craft Burger Bar. This restaurant offers a variety of handheld delights - beef burgers, veggie burgers, chicken & fish sandwiches, and hotdogs, along with an assortment of appetizers and brews. The bar had a hipster vibe, and the rest of the restaurant was in a pretty casual American style decor.
Upon our arrival, the restaurant was quite busy. We were seated quickly, but it took around 15 minutes to get our drinks and order placed. They were probably short staffed.
Everything on the menu looked so yummy, but after much deliberation I got the Hola Kahiki Burger with a Beyond patty. I also got fries, coleslaw, and the Japanese potato salad. My boyfriend got the Double Big Boss Burger with tots. Also, to be honest, we did order an appetizer but I think they forgot or something because it never came. However, the meal we ordered was more than enough food and we didn't get charged for it, so it wasn't a big deal. Moreover, though, such a thing has definitely put a damper on previous visits to different restaurants when they forgot a big item.
Anyway, my burger was delicious. I loved the pineapple, crispy onions, and BBQ sauce. My waffle fries were crispy, and the seasoning was unique, but tasty. The coleslaw and potato salad were decent. The coleslaw could have had more dressing, though. The Japanese potato salad was interesting as it had cucumbers and carrots in it, I believe.
My boyfriend loved his burger. It was cooked per his request. It looked so yummy! The tots were crispy and seasoned well, too.
One great thing is they have lots of condiments at the table - mayo, ketchup, mustard, and hot sauce. Usually I get a side of mayo, so this was really convenient.
Overall, we were really pleased with our meals - as well as the great price! This is a pretty affordable restaurant for sure. We will be back as this isn't far from our neighborhood at all, and there are lots more dishes I'd love to try. I will probably try and come by when it is a little less busy, though!
