Absolutely a great vegan spot worth checking out, even for non vegans. Japanese BBQ Cauliflower Wings are savory and crispy. The Mac and cheese is creamy, but might not be suitable to everyone's liking given the dairy free substitute, hit/miss with our kids. The pepperoni pizza however, delicious to both our kids! I really like the spicy chicken Sandwich, the crispy consistency to the mushroom and slaw is a delicious combination. And of course, extensive beer selection. Fun special drinks too depending on the season.

amazingggg vegan food!! in a quaint bar apartment on a lovely street. indoor outdoor seating is nice. we almost lately loved the animal lover wood fired pizza, the buffalo cauliflower and the bbq bakon burger! everything was so delicious and indulgent, packed with flavor. all the staff are so kind! would come back again 🌟 it was our perfect stop for lunch on the way to SF

Really good vegan restaurant. They use seasonal produce which really is evident in all the dishes. The bean succotash was a surprise hit, we also really enjoyed the burgers and the curry (again, full use of seasonal vegetables). Also a good beer selection and nice alcohol free cocktail options. Will be back to try more menu items, including the pizza. Friendly staff

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Craft Roots, and it was an absolute revelation! As someone who is mindful of both health and the environment, this vegan restaurant exceeded all expectations. The menu is incredibly thoughtful, offering a wide variety of plant-based dishes that are not only flavorful but packed with nutrition. Whether you're vegan, gluten-free, lactose intolerant, or simply trying to reduce your meat consumption, there's something for everyone here. It was really big — after enjoying it I separated leftovers to keep crispy rice things fresh (several pictures attached). My husband loved his “chicken” lions mane burger! Beyond the food, the Craft Roots also highlights the positive impact of a plant-based lifestyle. Knowing that my meal was contributing to better health, lower environmental impact, and a more compassionate world made the experience even more fulfilling. So pleasantly pleased by this place. In general, I have a high standard for food, especially vegan. Everything was very good. Drinks didn’t try to cheat me with potency and everything was very good. One of the owners was helping service and connect with customers. She was pleasant showing an empathetic concern for our experience, an over all sweet person. The bartender taking during orders was also a very pleasant person with genuine connection to our table. All workers there seemed to have a genuine love for the place and pleasant disposition. This is the only vegan restaurant I know of in this city of maybe 60K people. Great they are pioneering how good vegan food can taste. Most of our table of 5 were carnivores and all felt very satisfied eating here. Regardless of dietary preferences, good food is good food, clean too. Also many GF options.

A small Veggie restaurant, with inside and out door seats, very convenient location in Morgan Hill downtown. Not too big selections, but dishes fairly good. Nice warm crisp pita. Only their hummus kinda too salty.

Food tastes great and kung pao was spicy and flavorful. Not a fan of chilli cheese fries compared to rest of the food ordered.

this place is awesome! large patio for dogs. we are visiting from out of town and ate here twice in the span of a couple days. food is fresh & you can tell how intentional they are with their ingredients. the service is great, both our servers were super friendly and they gave us water for the dogs too! Nice AC inside and overall just a chill place. highly recc the chocolate mousse, nashville hot chikn sammie, beet salad, caesar salad, garlic knots! anything with their mushrooms is fantastic.

Food was great! The Buffalo Cauliflower Bites were a 10/10--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the ranch. I had the Bourbon BBQ Burger, which was solid & the side of Chili Cheeze Fries was tasty. I really appreciate that they offer gluten-free options and even have dedicated gluten-free fryers. The CBD cocktail was refreshing as well. Service was quick and efficient--our server was attentive and friendly throughout. The ambiance was great too, and I loved that they offer outdoor seating

Craft Roots is a hidden gem in Morgan Hill that deserves way more recognition in the Bay Area. The food is consistently amazing, and the staff are genuinely kind and welcoming. Even if you're not vegan (which I'm not), the menu has a ton to love. Everything is flavorful, satisfying, and still feels clean and nourishing. The wood-fired pizzas are FANTASTIC, and the salads are fresh, creative, and packed with flavor. The beer and kombucha on tap are also really well curated. Someone clearly cares about the pairings. I come here a few times a month and can't get enough of the cauliflower bites. The new paneer burger is also incredible, easily one of the best things I've had in a while. Best of all, the vibe is relaxed and unpretentious, which sets it apart from a lot of other vegan spots in the Bay Area. I feel so lucky to have this place in town and hope it sticks around for a long time.

The food is so tasty, I came 2 days in a row. Icy was my server. Super nice and explained the menu. And she remembered my name! My favorite was the Japanese Cauliflower. And really, everything was good. 1st day, I had the Japanese cauliflower and teriyaki bowl. 2nd day, I had the chili fries (this sauce is vegan? Yes) and Korean bowl. The owner said hi. He's hard working. Never sat still. He's definitely a working owner. Maybe this is why this restaurant is so good. He talked about the Maitake burger. Will have to try it next time. The dishes were so inviting, I dug in before taking a picture. Apologies. The dish will not look as good. Btw, nice size dishes!

This place was so fabulous, so happy our friends found it for lunch. The parking structure was nearby so it was pretty easy. The restaurant was busy, but we didn't have to wait for too long. There seating in the inside and the outside as options. Our waiter and the staff were friendly and really great. The food was absolutely delicious! The pizzas had a nice touch and were flavorful. The appetizers and portions were great. We really enjoyed our fried chicken sandwich. It was super crispy and the flavor with the condiments were great. Absolutely recommend!

Driving through town, craving a great beer. Our local was closed. Now what? Let's see what YELP has revealed. There in the review, Russian River Brewing Company, ON TAP! Check the menu, let's go. What a great welcoming locals hang out. The entryway is steep, wouldn't recommend crutches or a wheelchair, use the side entrance. Once inside, a few tables, a bar for about 8, television on in the corner and a wood burning oven all aglow awaiting the next paddle of dough. The mood was laid back and comfortable. This was our first time in a total vegan restaurant. We had already settled on a great beer, now what do we eat. The menu has something for everyone. We settled on the cheeZe pizza. A handmade, wood fired pizza. A little skeptical, how will vegan cheeZe taste? DELICIOUS!!! The perfect amount of tomato sauce, a robust pesto and some of the cheesiest cheese ever! Nothing to take home but a warm feeling and a full belly. We enjoyed so much, we came back again. We had half cheese and half "meat." We will look for something like this close to home. Until then, a great place to share and remember.

In the past every now and then something might get wrong with my order to go, but today the person that took my order over the phone repeated everything to make sure my order got entered correctly, and then when I picked up the order, the person who delivered the food also repeated Every detail of the order to make sure it matched what I had ordered over the phone. That was a very nice gesture my order was perfect thank you very much guys.

Delicious vegan food in a fun outdoor picnic table setting! It's on a cute downtown Morgan hill street with twinkling lights and large picnic tables for outdoor dining. They have gluten free options which is great. The crispy mushroom burger with a gluten free bun is incredibly delicious! They have tofu nuggets and fries for the kids, a lot of different drinks to choose from, a Japanese cauliflower dish that's good. We also enjoyed the chili fries! Yum. The parking was free at a public lot nearby and there is also free street parking. The staff was friendly and very cool! I like the knife stuck in a box of cauliflower on the kitchen counter. Cool hip vibe.

Craft roots is great! It's the only vegan place around Morgan Hill and Gilroy. Food is yummy the service is great and they have Taco Tuesday in the summer! Favorite things are the CR Burger, the pizzas!, chili cheeze fries, the desserts... All of them, the salads. Yay for craft roots. Dog friendly too! Shout-out to Icy and Flash

Roots on the Ground 100% vegan restaurant located in Downtown Morgan Hill ironically next-door to the Meat Sweat Paradise, aka Trail Dust BBQ--which the owner of Craft Roots used to manage for ten years. The brainchild of local couple Justin and Nysaa Gaich, Craft Roots has been serving up delicious seasonal creations using the freshest local ingredients and a sophisticated bar menu to go along with. The Good: *It's vegan without pushing the whole radical vegan agenda that some places do. They're just focused on the food and that's as it should be. *Dog-friendly outdoor dining *Great selection of local brews on-tap *Reservations thru the Yelp app, as well as a Yelp Waitlist *Menu changes seasonally *Service on both our visits was outstanding. And our recent server, Isolyn, was excellent; friendly, genuine, and attentive. *Loved the flavor and char on their pizza crust that had a nice chew to it. *Their Fried Cauliflower bites are fantastic; we've had both the Buffalo and the Korean BBQ ones and they're both fantastic. Just depends on how you're feeling: heat or sweet heat. *Nashville Hot Chi'kn was hearty, crispy and had a decent spiciness. *Fries are fucking delicious. Crispy, fluffy, and well-salted. *Carissa loved her Power Bowl which reminded her of a really flavorful fried rice dish. The Meh: *Pizzas are delicious but be prepared for an extra wait, so pro tip: if you want pizza order it asap. The Ugly: *DT Morgan Hill can get busy at certain times, so parking can be an issue. I did see a parking garage nearby but I'm not sure if it charges or is free. Conclusion: Fantastic vegan eats, service and ambiance in one of our favorite Downtowns in The Bay. Highly recommended--and this is coming from a big meathead!

The best Nashville Chicken Sandwich I've had in a long time is the vegan one at Craft Roots. It is an amazing taste and texture experience that is hard to beat! Fair warning it's spicy! Combined with a good brew, it was a fantastic lunch. I'm not a vegetarian, but I'm always up for a visit!

As a person who enjoys meat regularly, up until recently I'd never tried a vegan pizza until I paid my 1st visit to Craft Roots. I was skeptical but open minded, as my friend raved about the food here. Now that I've done it, I'm pleased to report that the mushroom pizza with vegan sausage they serve here is not only delicious, but it's impossible to tell simply by eating it that the pie doesn't contain either diary or meat. The portion size was decidedly "personal pizza" sized, but it completely hit the spot and I left feeling both full and satisfied after our meal. Whether or not you are a vegan, I have no doubt that if you pay this place a visit, you'll find something both delicious and satisfying on their menu :-)

Craft Roots has a fully vegan menu with some great options. The indoor seating is cozy but can get a bit cramped and loud, especially during busy hours. The vibe is casual, and there's a heated outdoor patio along the side of the building, which is a nice option for larger groups or families. Just be aware it's close to the parking lot, so the noise level depends on the surroundings. I usually go for the bourbon bacon burger, but I couldn't find it on the menu this time. I tried the rigatoni Alfredo instead, but it wasn't quite what I expected. There was something off about the seasoning - maybe it was just an off day. However, I'll always recommend the buffalo cauliflower appetizer; it's perfect for sharing and always a hit. The drink selection is extensive, making up about 70% of the menu, so there's plenty to choose from if you're looking for a drink to go with your meal. Overall, Craft Roots has typical Morgan Hill pricing, so expect to pay a bit more, but it's usually worth it for the quality. I'll likely stick with their burgers next time!

Maybe I should have read that this spot is full vegan, let me break down everything we had and how it all faired in all actuality 3.5 out of 5 stars for this place We sampled the cauliflower deep fried with heavy seasoning white and green sauce were offered we likes the white sauce better then the green not quite ranch sauce but it was delicious We sampled all cheese pizza the pizza was thin and the cheeses were ok cut into 6 small slices The magheriti pizza this was surprisingly good, also thin crust the cheese oddly not filling but it tasted delicious my son sampled their burger he ate half and stated it had a weird after taste after biting down, sample a bite and yes the patty did indeed have and odd after taste to it a round of two orders of fries those were finished within the first few minutes of the plates being set down we also ordered the Caesar salad sadly it never made it to our table I guess next time we will have to sample it. ordered 3 drinks two beers on tap 2 of the beers i sampled were exceptional #2 i believe on their menu that day similar to a hef and the second i believe the got wrong which was supposed to be something similar to a guiness but i got something completely different The wife got a drink as well she said it paired well with everything we sampled. On a whole the food was good just for us palate wise we are not use to eating just vegetables, other then my wife and she stated everything was just ok lol If you want to try vegan this spot in Morgan Hill probably best try to venture out of different type cuisines but if you truly are meat eaters this is not the spot for you Food *** Drinks **** for the hef variant, the other drinks were just ok Price $$$ Service ***** very helpful staff very friendly staff explained everything on the menu Ambiance ***** very clean, semi bright, open and good energy walking it

Craft Roots totally gets me and my Big Veg appetite!! 10 Stars & 10 Hearts!! Great Experience!!! Excellent Service and Delish Meal. YES Great Food - plant-based cooked to perfection - Bourbon Bakon Burger, fries, salad and super duper tasty cauliflower crispy crunchy MUST try!! YES Great cocktails and craft beer - oh Yea and when it's Pliny for us, nuff said :) YES Great ambiance - bustling on a mid day Saturday afternoon, roomy dining area indoors and outdoors. Local vibes the best! The whole street was on and open, perfect weather for early dinner and stroll, loved it will be back soon. YES ez parking and lots of it

The Good: Great ambiance, and great options for vegan, vegetarian, and sober/dry/straight-edge folks. Tasty Jambalaya, Salads, and Pakora Burger. The Not So Good: Lackluster service and inconsistent food and drinks. I enjoyed my Pakora Burger with side salad and the Jambalaya a lot, but the pizzas were a little one dimensional flavorwise, and that flavor of faux cheese was a little overpowering for the non-vegans at the table. While staff were courteous, the jambalaya took a long time to come out. So long in fact, that most of us had already finished eating by the time it arrived. The good news is that staff apologized for the snafu and took the jambalaya off our bill. I had a Zero Things Green cocktail, which was okay, but I didn't love its rather one-note green taste. The Mule was also an okay drink, but lacked flavor and was a little overpoweringly sweet for our tastes. That said, I'd be willing to give Craft Roots another chance sometime, given the uniqueness of finding a Vegan restaurant in the South Bay.

Food: Mac and cheese 4/5 There's a strong tomato flavor which was pretty unexpected for Mac and Cheese. The noodles have a bouncy chew and the sauce doesn't feel overwhelming rich. Greek Burger: 4/5 This burger tastes like a falafel. It tastes fresh and tangy with a bit of creamy texture. The bun is soft and you're able to eat the burger without making a mess. Salad with Citrus Dressing: 4/5 I normally don't order salads but I was feeling like I wanted to be " healthier". To my joy, the salad is pretty good! The citrus dressing primarily tastes like lemon and the salad didn't taste bitter at all. I'd get this salad again anytime. Service: Quick and friendly! Ambiance: The interior feels warm and cozy, like a place you'd go after a long day of work. The patio dining is a bit limited in space but it's a great location for people watching.

5th time here in one year, loved it every time. Good friend needed to eat here due to celiac, thought I was just being nice but never thought how much I'd enjoy eating this food. I then brought my kids, my granddaughter, and finally my wife. Side note, when I brought my oldest daughter a few months ago, she said "WHAT, they only serve Vegan food here?", "How is that possible that my husband ate here and loved their burgers!" Her husband MUST have meat in every meal - he had no idea when he ate her that it was a Vegan restaurant! The service is top notch. If you reserve a table ahead of time they write your name across a large rectangular sign and prop it up on a holder at the table. Food is always fresh, abundantly portioned, and delicious. 5 times in one year, Vegan to boot, speaks to how much I would return and would strongly recommend.

This is vegan food done well! It is a little on the pricier side (20 dollars per burger), but like we saw other people say, the cauliflower is unbelievably crispy. Before this, I had no idea that cauliflower could be cooked in such a way that each bite was crispy and juicy like a chicken nugget. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely not a chicken nugget and I'm glad that they don't market it as a chicken nugget. The burger itself does a good job of replicating a ground beef burger. The American "cheeze" is surprisingly tasty, as it's less tangy/artificial in flavoring than real American cheese while the "meltiness" also has better texture. Otherwise, considering this as a replacement, I might still opt for a cheaper real meat burger, but for anyone who is avoiding red meat, this burger does a very good job. Our server was super sweet and friendly. She even drew a heart on our receipt! Despite being the only party sitting outside, she made sure to check in frequently with us, which we really appreciated.

Needed some lunch in Morgan Hill and the Yelp reviews of this place were really strong. So I had to check it out. The Dose Wood Fired Pizza: 5/5. Probably the most flavorful veggie pizza that I have ever had, but with very simple ingredients. I suspect there were a few extra ingredients added than what I saw on the menu (maybe thyme). A real winner!

Food (5/5) - Honestly I think this was my first time at a vegan restaurant. My friends and I shared the buffalo cauliflower and it was pretty good. Very crispy on the outside, but a bit heavy from the sauce. I also got the Mamu Greek burger with vinaigrette salad. It was a very tall burger and had so many flavors and layers. Liked the vegan feta better than actual feta! Service (5/5) - Our waitress kept checking up on us to make sure we were doing alright - so kind! Also on our receipt, she drew a heart around a thank you. Ambiance (4/5) - to be fair we sat outside, so there were like bench tables. Not actually sure what it looks like on the inside. It's right next to the BBQ place which also has outdoor seating, so it was a bit loud at times.

We stop by Craft Roots whenever we're in the Morgan Hill area because the food here is amazing! The restaurant is located in downtown Morgan Hill on Monterey Road between 3rd and 4th St. Street parking can be tricky but there is a large parking structure on 4th St. Their extensive menu consists of a large selection appetizers, salads, "burgers", wood-fired pizzas, and sweets. Yes, they also have a kids menu! Upon walking in the restaurant you can smell that smoky goodness coming from their wood-fired oven. I'll definitely try their wild mushroom pizza the next time I'm here They aren't on DoorDash or offer any online ordering for togo orders so you'll need to call it in, the old fashion way. All the employees I interacted with were welcoming and friendly. At this last visit we ordered their: bakon wedge salad - This romaine lettuce was freshly tossed in ranch dressing, blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes, onions, and Thrilling bakon. What an amazing salad!! The bakon tasted so real too! Korean BBQ Cauliflower Bites - Since we ordered togo, the sauce they normally toss it with was on the side along with a side of their kimchi aioli. How did they get it so crunchy? This was so delicious! Can't wait to go back to Craft Roots!

My wife found this place and said it had great reviews. So we decided to try it out. I actually had no idea what type of food they serve since I did absolutely no research @ all. Having said that, maybe you can finish reading this review after you already finished eating your meal. :) We came on a Friday evening perhaps around 8pm. The restaurant was pretty packed and on the louder end of the spectrum. There was just one table left for three. So we were pretty lucky! I will also have to say that my experience with their service was perfect. They were very welcoming, courteous and answered all of our silly questions. We decided to order four items. A chili, the hot chik'n sandwich, CR burger and the cauliflower bites. So my pick was the chick'n sandwich. It was actually pretty spicy. Most places, when they advertise it being "hot" it actually isn't. But this sandwich definitely had a good kick to it, even for me. But I also believe I have an above average tolerance of spiciness. But definitely not expert level such as being able to eat ghost peppers or something. So now comes the silly part of the story. Maybe this might be an actual problem with my tastebuds or maybe I was too hungry to notice. But somehow the whole time I really thought I was eating chicken. Haha. Maybe that could also mean that they cooked it really well! Even when my wife asked me if I ate real chicken and I confidently said yeah. I said it was chicken thigh. I believed this until my wife asked the waitress if I really ate chicken and we were told that it was mushroom. And I was seriously shocked like what? I couldn't even tell?! Anyhow the "chicken" was breaded with a deep-fried SUPER crispy crust so maybe that was what threw me off. Also the cauliflower bites had a similar super crispy crust as well. It dwarfed all the cauliflower fries that I have had in the past from other restaurants. I didn't try any of the other dishes we ordered: the burger or chili. But my wife said she could kind of tell that her burger was a meat substitute. But she still said it was still really good! Here is a fun fact also about our experience. Because initially we had no idea this was a vegan restaurant, when my wife ordered her burger she specifically told the waitresss that she wanted it well-done. After we found out, we thought that the waitress must have thought we were so weird to ask for that. But still she was really really nice and didn't give us any weird look. If we never asked later, I would have went home saying we were eating chicken and beef. :) I didn't try the chili but I was told it was made with sunflower seeds. Overall, it was a superb experience especially since I ate the food it based on expecting it to be real meat and I would have been fooled! Maybe this is ok since "everybody plays the fool" sometimes right? Anyhow, if we come back again, I would definitely reorder both this "chicken" and the cauliflower bites! I hope that you'll also enjoy all the food here as well!

10 of us had lunch at Craft Roots last week and none of use are vegetarian. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal as well as the atmosphere! I had the Korean Barbecue Bowl which was excellent!! Others had burgers, salad, pizza or pozole! No on was disappointed!!! The best part of lunch was our delightful server, Icy! She was so welcoming and full of information for this non-vegetarian group!!! She managed to take all of our orders without writing anything down!!! There were no mistakes!!!! She happily gave the group separate checks too!!! This group meets for lunch once a month so we will return!!!

AMAZING! Thank you so much for catering our daughter's Bridal Shower. It was a pleasure working with Justin to curate the menu. The food was delicious, plentiful, and piping hot. So glad I found this place on Yelp while driving through the Bay Area. Love that everything on the menu is 100% plant based and that they offer so many dishes with fresh ingredients along as there are way too many places that just make vegan junk food. Street parking was easy and we were able to sit outside with our dog. They have a dining room inside as well. The server was friendly arriving right away with water for the humans and fur baby. Super friendly waitress...and the food - WOW! Highly recommend. We loved everything we ordered. The buffalo cauliflower bites were bomb - the best we ever ate. Crisp texture with the tastiest sauce. Also enjoyed the fall salad with Brussel sprouts, butternut squash, kale and walnuts all dressed in a beautiful maple sherry vinaigrette. Lastly, we tried the chipotle mushroom wrap made with battered lions mane mushrooms which came with fries so of course we had to try a side of their housemade Bourbon BBQ sauce. Yum. So wish we had places like this in Sacramento.

Me and my fiancée went here on a Friday night and it wasn't SUPER busy, we made reservations for around 6 pm and the place had a nice, amazing vibe. I have never had straight vegan food but OH MY GOODNESS. This place is the best place ever. I got the BBQ burger and my fiancée got the Cali Burger and wow. It hit the spot. The best burger I have ever had and it wasn't even meat!! I can't wait to come back and try the pizza next time!!

5-star rating and almost 500 reviews... I had to stop here to check it out and I get it. You know it's a special place when you walk in and everyone welcomes you like they are old friends. It is clear that staff here like each other and have a great camaraderie. Don't let the fact that it's vegan stop you, the food is delicious. Oh, and they have a full bar. Our waitress, Isolyn was great! 3 cheers to the owners and the staff!

On my way back home to San Francisco from Los Angeles I was starving and decided to ask Siri for a vegan restaurant near me. This is where I landed and it was their annual Pliney event so it was packed! Everybody was hustling, but they still had a smile on their face and the owner, Jay, was full of energy and entertaining. I tried the pliney and the food was also fantastic. A definite unexpected pleasure.

3.5 stars I've been recommended by a friend to come here. She raves about this place. My friend is vegan which is why we came here. We walked in, immediately a gentleman came and greeted us. They offered us an outside table but it was super cold. We sat at the bar so we wouldn't have to wait for a table, but once they had an opening, we immediately went to sit at the table. They gave us menus and brought our waters a few minutes later. We ordered our food and my friend's came out first. Why didn't they bring it all out together? She waited to eat until I got food. I ordered the appetizer Mac & cheese and she ordered a kid's Mac & cheese. Hers was in a white bowl and looked yummy. Mine came out in a skillet type with burnt cheese LOL. My Mac & cheese was not worth $15. Now, the bartender was cheerful and wonderful. That dry Mac & cheese made me thirsty. I was about to ask for more water, when my server finally showed up with more water. I can see why this place is popular since it's a bar and their cauliflower bites don't taste like cauliflower. I paid almost $20 for a Mac & cheese that was dry and burnt.

One of my favorite spots in Morgan Hill. Great vegan spot, but you should still give this place a try even if you're not vegan. I totally forgot it's vegan cause everything was so delicious. I believe their menu changes each season, but there's a few items that stay on the menu like the buffalo cauliflower bites (this is a must every time!!). My other favorite is their garden pizza, but I think that's off the menu, but all their pizza options sound delicious. Their burgers and fries are worth a try, too. Also, make sure to ask your server what the seasonal local produce is since that changes, too. Tbh everything I have tried has been amazing, and there's a lot more I still need to try. Friendly staff and great vibes. Indoor and outdoor seating, too! Craft Roots is a must try in MH!!

Craft roots used to be my favorite local vegan restaurant and I would travel from San Jose to eat there often since the food was amazing, but over the past year or so I've been visiting less often due to them changing recipes and overall quality. My most recent visit was probably the last time I will visit, I was very disappointed, especially since I brought my meat eating family to show off how good vegan food can be. The dose pizza was completely soggy in the middle and was basically disintegrating even with the crust black on the bottom. They need to either put less wet ingredients on top or make the crust thicker to handle all the ingredients. The mushrooms on the south county pizza were burnt to a crisp. That was the main topping on the pizza so every bite tasted burnt. The cheesecake was also not good at all, a frozen Daiya cheesecake from a grocery store tastes 100% better. Also, the Mac and cheese used to be my favorite item to order a few years ago when it had the broccoli in it. They changed the cheese recipe and it does not taste nearly as good so I don't order it anymore. I have no complaints about the service and the cauliflower bites are still some of the best. Their large drink menu is also great, but overall I miss how Craft Roots used to be a few years ago. Not sure why it changed.

Tried the pizza and the burger as well as the wings. The wings was the only thing I liked. I have a strong stomach and 99.9% of the time I finish all the food on my plate but unfortunately this didn't happen here. I may give this place another chance.

Yet another delicious meal with great service at CR. 5 in our party and everyone was happy and satisfied! I'm not a vegetarian but always enjoy the meal when going to CR!

THE FLAUTASSSSSS, the drinks and Isolyn were Amazing. Isolyn was busy but still very pleasant and welcoming. Drove into town from Hollister and her bubbly sweet personality along with the food and drinks made this the perfect little spot. Especially after receiving terrible service from a winery down the way.

A great place to catch up with friends. Friendly environment and staff, Lighting was not too bright or dim, noise was not too loud you had to scream to hear each other, and tables were far enough from each other so your neighbors wouldn't be included in your conversations. A very comfortable place to chat and relax with friends. We had a nice & attentive waitress. Our hostess was very sweet. We ordered appetizers to share. Everything was very tasty. They have energy drinks, cocktails, and mocktails, drinks with CBS. You can park in the street or a multiple floor parking lot is right behind the restaurant.

I love supporting local businesses. So, it's tough for me to write this review. The fam and I walked a bit on a slightly rainy Sunday looking for a bite to eat before heading to Spina Farms Pumpkin Patch. The kids are pescatarians so we were intrigued by this joint. The team up front was friendly throughout our time there. What appeared to be the lone order taker was doing her best to be attentive to all of our needs. The teas we ordered arrived quickly and were refilled as needed. Our Buffalo Cauliflower Bites starter was good tasting and we were looking forward to enjoying our time there. However, that is when the "wheels started to fall off". After what felt like a longer than expected period of time, one of our entrees (Bacon Wedge) arrived. We thought to ourselves that the remaining entrees (1x C.R. Burger, 2x Bourbon Bacon Burger) would be arriving soon thereafter. We were wrong. After another long period of time and talking to the host/order taker, we finally received our remaining entrees. The host/order taker did apologize by saying the kitchen was backed up. Backed up? If that was the case, say so without having me ask what's taking so long. And, why would you serve one of the easier to make entrees way ahead of the others? To add further insult, my thin "patty" looked to be burnt and the fries were too salty. I was too hungry, etc. to mention anything.

Pliney, Pliney, Pliney perfect with their pizza and appetizers. The service was friendly and easy going. I loved the vibe here. I especially loved the flavor profile of the Japchae noodles.

Food was decent: We liked the cauliflower, very crunchy and sauce was pretty good, the Harvest salad though we felt it had too much peanut flavor sauce. It was Saturday afternoon but they were out of a lot of dishes and drinks on the menu. They need to update the menu, seriously. I ordered a cocktail that the server didn't know was out at first and came back to let me know. So I ordered my third choice since my first choice was out and now my second choice. It came out after we were almost done with our meal. Outdoor seating was nice on a sunny afternoon though.

THIS PLACE IS LEGIT! Our friends invited us to a Saturday in Morgan Hill so we met up at the year round farmers market (highly recommend) and then walked to Craft Roots for lunch. We were seated right away outside so I never even went inside. It is full service and it was busy, but not where you have to wait to get a table. We ordered the korean cauliflower bites and the original buffalo bites. Both came with a different housemade sauce. You can tell it is cauliflower but they are made really crispy and breaded with plenty of sauce. I personally loved the buffalo best but they are the best I have had for plant based wings. I decided to order the wild mushroom pizza given we had the bites as an appetizer. Everyone else ordered delicious burgers and the spicy hot chicken sandwich. My husband didn't realize the burgers were also plant based until after we left. The fries were crispy and shoe string which I loved. The pizza does take 30 minutes but it was well worth it. I have ordered pizza with vegan cheese elsewhere and it is never as good. This one didn't taste vegan. I wanted to eat more but somehow stuffed 3 slices in. It's enough for two people! It has a thick, chewy crust, but thin sliced style. I swear it tasted like truffle oil. My friend ordered his burger with avocado and they forgot to include it, but our server apologized and brought it out on the side. Otherwise, everyone was nice and we were all beyond satisfied. I wish they had one in SJ! Can't wait to return!

This review will be very lacking for now, had to swing by to pick up a vegan dish and it turned out to be delicious. We picked up the buffalo cauliflower and it was beautifully done to be almost like chicken wings. Service was very friendly and they made you feel welcomed.

Went here last night with a friend after a weekend long craft fair. We had a few drinks and shared some food. We shared the pumpkin fritters, these were so good! Korean bbq bowl. This was tea good. Took the rest home for lunch. And we also shared the Mezze Plate. This was also a really good assessment of pickled items and spreads. I had the hibiscus slushee and a pink strawberry vodka drink. My friend also had the pink strawberry vodka drink and I believe the other one was a margarita. All the food and drinks were amazing. We sat by the window and had a good view of the bar for chatting and people watching. Will be back again next time I'm in town.

They're on the Yelp Bay Area Top 100 list. Had my eye on them ever since I saw them listed there. I am not Vegan, but I was about to meet a friend for lunch who's Vegan and she lives in San Jose. So I was driving from Mountain View and thought this is the perfect opportunity to check Craft Roots out. And boy, they did not disappoint! Located in Morgan Hill downtown, we found free parking in a garage nearby. We decided to sit indoors because it was a hot day. We took our time to order, and our server was extremely nice and kept checking on us multiple times, and was super patient while we were deciding. She was also kind enough to give her their best recommendations, and also tell us about some off the menu hidden dishes. I forgot her name. Here's what we tried, - Chili 'Cheeze' Fries: loved the cashew cream based cream and vegan queso, and the texture of the Chili. Really good and really fresh, and huge portions. Crispy fries as well, you'd typically expect the dish to be soggy. - Wild Mushroom Pizza (secret menu): This was SO good. You have to try this. The flavor of the cheeze and mushroom was so good, unlike any Pizza I've had before. Also love the crust. I almost finished the first hole Pizza on my own. - Chipotle Mushroom Sandwich: The Battered Trumpet mushroom adds such a nice feel to the sandwich (it does have a meaty texture to it), topped off with chipotle sauce was just delicious. I tasted a bit of this from my friend, and plan to get this myself next time. Value for money. Also comes with fries (we got garlic fries here, some more fries!!) I don't even remember the cocktails we got. We got one each of their two best selling cocktails, we recommended by the server. One of them was green I believe. They were bomb as well. Do try them. Go here even if you're not Vegan, and a meat eater. You'll love it. Nice place for a date as well. Cannot go wrong with most of their dishes I feel, even if we tried only a few. Nice area/ambience for a date. Only thing I'd say is I'm not sure if their dessert choices are that great. But I see some of them on the older menu's on Yelp that they didn't have listed when we went. Maybe they're on the secret menu too? We didn't ask or check because we were too full after the food and cocktails, and didn't have space in our tummy's for dessert, unfortunately, going against the popular line of, 'You always have space for dessert'! I'll be back here very soon, and have also recommended this place to lots of my friends, and have wanted to take them. Only thing is the 35+ minute drive from Mountain View but it's worth it.

So excited we stumbled upon this place on our way to the Redwoods. To our surprise, everything is vegan, we were a bit skeptical, but we were pleasantly surprised of how DELICIOUS everything we ordered was. Unfortunately I was too hungry to take photos. I got the Lion's Maine burger and it was packed with so much flavor. Sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection. It was so good, I wouldn't mind taking the 5 hr drive to try this place again. Need something like this closer to home. Waiter was very attentive and place was clean. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

TL;DR Impossible burgers as the protein made with different toppings. Garlic fries and beer were the highlight for me. Big beer menu! This place just didn't do it for me. The impossible burgers are disproportionate to the size and thickness of the bun. The toppings were sparse and the bourbon sauce didn't add much in the way of flavor. The highlight for me were the garlic fires, loaded with garlic and the coconut porter beer. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. They serve craft pops.

Such a pleasure to come here. Very cool vibe, welcoming and always open to offer suggestions on menu. My friends and I hung out for a while and it was so nice.
