If you are into Japanese Sake (日本酒), this is a great place to go. If sake is new to you and you want to try some, go here! You can try many types from mainly small sake breweries. The recommendations I had were all very good. The system is very simple: all sake have same price per glass. It’s also easy to get in contact with other customers. Most of them are sake lovers. For sure a place to have fun and delicious sake! No entry/table charge.

Hidden Gem Sake University away from the crowded touristy Tokyo scene . We grilled Brian with gizzilion questions regarding the Art of Sake Distillation. He calmly answered all of our questions while pouring and explaining the difference between different bottles . What a lovely experience . Give yourself all day to enjoy the shopping on the way to the meeting location . Loved it . Thank You Brian

Great atmosphere with very friendly community of people who love to enjoy craft sake together. Brian is an amazing host and made us feel so welcome. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to understand sake better and to get some travelling tips from people who live in Yokohama.

Brian was a welcoming, knowable, and entertaining host. We drank and learned all about sake. We were guided through the afternoon by Brian who explained what we were tasting and why he found each choice interesting. Highly recommended! Easy commute from Tokyo too!

We had a wonderful experience. The owner walked us through a wide range of sake and sake styles from small producers all over the region. He was patient with our questions and genuinely interested in our reactions to each sake. I would certainly come back the next time I’m in Yokohama.

I went for the 2 hour sake tasting experience. Bryan clearly loves sake and was pulling out bottle after bottle to sample and describing each one in depth. Learn a whole lot about sake. He also allowed the tasting experience to run well beyond 2 hours and I was still sampling his amazing selection with his Friday night regulars. It was a friendly and lively setting while still being very intimate. Getting drunk on high-quality sake (Bryan only stock good stuff) and finding camaraderie with the locals is an experience not to be missed.

The sake tasting with Brian was absolutely wonderful - I'm so glad we booked it near the beginning of our trip, so we can use everything we learned to explore sake in a more informed and intentional way during the rest of our trip. Brian (and his associates) are incredibly knowledgeable about all things sake - he answered every single question we had and really gave us a great introduction to the industry. He has an amazing selection of bottles available and the samples were plentiful - I lost count of how many varieties we tried! If we didn't have dinner reservations to head back to Tokyo for, we would have loved to stay longer to continue chatting, tasting and learning. We also really appreciated all of the thoughtful and delicious snacks/pairings that Brian provided. Overall this was a fantastic experience - I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who has any interest at all in wine, sake or craft brewing.

You don’t go to this bar for Sake, but for the experience. You’ll vibe so hard with Brian, the owner of the bar; he’s extremely knowledgeable when it comes to sake. Most of the patrons are a good mix of locals and foreigners are who are very good with English. The sake selections? Extremely rare stuff, at affordable 500 yen flat price for everything. Highly recommended if you’re dropping by in Yokohama.
