These guys are all volunteers!! Very sweet people and the ride was fun!! The trolley operators were very knowledgeable and told us stories throughout the ride which was cool. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and were able to walk inside multiple train cars and take photos. Definitely a must to get your tickets in advance to reserve your space.

Our family had the best time!! Rocky and everyone there were the best!! Such sweet people! We brought our 2 teenagers (13 & 16) and they loved it! I felt like a kid again too! Can’t wait to go back!! Highly recommend!

This place is fantastic. Our grandson turned four this past week, and he *loves* trains, and so we booked a ride here at Craggy Mountain Line. We got checked in for the ride. They have other train cars and memorabilia to explore while you wait. We got underway, and the staff told us a little about the trolley itself, as well as a bit about the area we were riding through. Our grandson got to ring the bell! The staff is great and we had a wonderful time.

Really nice ride, after Helene the tracks where replaced, it's almost 4 miles one way out, make sure to take something to drink, there's no water or bathroom facilities at the out bound stop Silver-park. Asheville and the surrounding towns are doing a great job on the recovery...

An Absolutely Amazing Experience with Beautiful Service The recent train experience, The Train Wild at Craggy Mountain Line, was absolutely phenomenal—an experience that exceeded all expectations and one we highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and memorable outing. From the moment we boarded until the very end, the entire trip was defined by beautiful customer service and genuine hospitality. What truly set this journey apart was the professionalism and enthusiasm of the staff. Every member of the crew was incredibly knowledgeable about the historic sites and the route we were traveling. Their detailed insights transformed a simple ride into an engaging and educational journey, making the stunning scenery and destination even more meaningful. The site they took us to was, as expected, amazing—it offered breathtaking views and a perfect backdrop for our afternoon. This trip was not just a great outing; it was deeply romantic. My wife had an amazing time, and the culminating moment at the end of the ride was truly special. As the journey concluded, we were offered complimentary refreshments: fresh lemonade and apple cider. I can confidently say the lemonade was absolutely amazing—perfectly prepared and refreshing. My wife adored the apple cider as well. Her only minor suggestion, which we offer in the spirit of making perfection even better, was that she wished the apple cider could have been served warm. However, this small detail did not detract from the overall enjoyment. We left feeling refreshed, connected, and incredibly impressed with the quality of both the excursion and the care provided by the team. Thank you to everyone at The Train Wild for delivering such a memorable and top-tier experience. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

The family and I had a great time. Wounded Warrior Project hosted a Christmas event there. Kids got to see Santa, and the staff really went out of their way. The 40s themed trolly train ride was very enjoyable. Thank you, Craggy & WWP for such a great event.

We enjoyed our trip on the trolley. All of the guys were awesome, but we really enjoyed having Cody on our trolley. John was super friendly and told us all about some of the trains out in the yard. Highly recommend Craggy Mountain Line.

Yelp
This was such a fun little adventure with our 1 and 4 year old train lovers! They had a blast looking at all the sights and the pirate park we stopped at for a little bit was well loved as well. It's advertised as 2 hours but was only about 1.5 (30 min ride out, 30 Min at park and 30 min back). The crew was great and super friendly!

Yelp
We met Rocky on a Tuesday (they are normally closed) and he was so kind and welcoming! he opened up some of the train cars so my son could take a look and play. They have a model train set AND a train table so kids have a place they can touch, right next to a looking only place. Cool for older kids too, great history/ timeline on the train lines through the blue ridge pkwy. Super kind and friendly folks, little gem. They are offering private charter trolly rides at this time.

Yelp
Such a wonderful little excursion! Riding on old trolley tracks through the forest and then by the French Broad River. Very affordable! Super friendly and courteous staff! People should come out and support this local gem!
