Hiking trip with a friend across the Cairngorms. David and Angela gave us lots of useful local info and some good life skills with regard to sharing our route, ETA, etc.
It's the perfect BnB for hikers, they have a drying room and a special aerator for boots that I've not seen before.
They went above and beyond and I'd definitely be checking Craiglea again if staying in Braemar.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay, had a warm welcome, Dave and Angela were so nice and helpful, some lovely thought out little touches, bed was very comfy. There was a drying room available, lounge, maps, directions for walks, pamphlets, and Dave was able to give us tips for our hiking route. Breakfast was lovely too. Could not fault it, would definitely stay again, we were sad to leave!

We stayed here for three nights as part of a family group to attend our daughter’s wedding. We were all made to feel extremely welcome by Angela and Dave. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We all very much appreciated the home made cakes on arrival. Home from home and we will be back.

Having been to Scotland many times we booked this B&B in August 2024 for May 2025, unfortunately 2 weeks after booking we had some personal circumstances change that meant we had to cancel the booking. However, despite this being 9 months in advance the B&B charged a full nights cost of £115 as part of T&Cs which we can acknowledge is listed when booking but I have never encountered this kind of blinkered sharp practice in all the hotels and b&bs we have ever stayed at across the UK So unless you are absolutely sure of your booking dates I would avoid booking at this b&b and select somewhere else that has more favourable arrangements.||Also note that the prime photo that comes up on Tripadvisor highlighting the named B&B is not actually the Fife Arms so Tripadvisor need to either remove the photo or put a statement against the photo as it is a separate establishment.
