Cranberry Cove Inn is a great place to stay! Scrumptious breakfast, comfortable bed, clean linen, warm welcome from Rose and Glen and all around 5 stars. Glen mentioned to us during check in that he does all the cooking but we were not expecting a 5 star breakfast which was served to us the next day. Highly recommended and will stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Cranberry Cove Inn in Louisbourg. The building, once the home of an Irish merchant family, has been beautifully converted into a bed and breakfast while preserving its original charm. It fits perfectly into the historical character of Louisbourg, offering a unique and authentic atmosphere. The rooms have been thoughtfully modernized for comfort, yet many pieces feel original, adding to the timeless appeal. Everything was impeccably clean and well maintained. Our hosts, Rose and Glen, who took over the inn about a year ago, were warm, welcoming, and truly personable. Their hospitality made us feel right at home, and their passion for the place shines through in every detail. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would gladly return any time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy, character-filled stay in a historic setting.

Hubby and I stayed here for one night after our visit to the fortress. It is so easy to find due to the color of the building itself. ||We were early in terms of check in and lady of the house let us in regardless. Thanks! We booked the cranberry sweet for the night and it certainly didn’t disappoint. ||The room was large and comfortable. It was handy having the heater on due to the cold weather. Despite it being June! ||The bed was absolutely wonderful and we both had a decent nights sleep. ||Breakfast was the highlight. We had fruit with yoghurt. And then a full cooked breakfast. Complete with the fluffiest pancakes with berries compost. A thick slice of gammon and some fried potatoes. Absolutely perfect! ||This is a great hideaway!

The house is really cute and nicely decorated. Our room was big and comfortable. The owners were nice and the breakfast was delicious. The only drawback is there's no much in Louisbourg once you seen the fortress. There are few restaurants and everything closes early.

Rose welcomed us even though we were earlier than we expected to be. The room was lovely, the ensuite was quite large, which was very nice, and the bed was very comfortable. The refreshments, snacks and coffee which were available in foyer during the date were a nice surprise. Unfortunately we had to leave early the next day so we missed the lovely breakfast on offer. Thank you Rose.

Excellent B&B!! Beautiful vintage home, very welcoming and easy drive to Louisbourg fort and the lighthouse trail. Breakfast was delicious, terrific fruit salad! Be aware that in the shoulder season there are few restaurants open, consider bringing extra snacks

Wonderful B and B! My daughter even got her own little room that originally was a sewing room. She thought she was so grown-up in her own room there excellent service, awesome location, and delicious breakfast.

We went there for my grandmothers funeral and the people here are the sweetest. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and they are the kindest of people ❤️ they have a self-serve coffee/tea machine and little snacks that they refill throughout the day. Breakfast was also very delicious thank you for everything ❤️ and again gorgeous gorgeous rooms ❤️

Yelp
Really cool b&b My lady and I were traveling around Nova Scotia and I booked this place based on its reviews and it was even better than expected. We had 'Ann's hideaway' and after a short chuckle that the room I booked had 2 single beds I reminded my lady of the expression ' if you love life is dependent upon you being 18 inches apart you aren't very motivated' The house is charming, Breakfast was delicious. and the staff was great. Couldn't ask for more.

Yelp
This is a wonderful bed and breakfast in a great old home. The proprietor, David, has maintained it well, appointed the rooms nicely and is very friendly and personable. The rooms all have air conditioning, quite rare in Nova Scotia and needed during some unusually hot days while there. Lovely wrap around porch for gathering. David served breakfast in the large dining area and each day was something new and delicious served with a fresh fruit bowl (also unusual in Nova Scotia). If staying in Louisbourg, this is where you want to be!
