We loved staying at Cranberry Cove! It was very nicely decorated and very, very comfortable, quiet, and restful. All the incidentals one would hope for were anticipated and provided. It was a pleasure interacting with the host. Glenn was very accommodating and considerate, and especially caring when he discovered that I wasn’t feeling well. There was ample parking and the inn’s proximity to the fortress couldn’t be beat. Very very highly recommended!!

We went on a road trip to get out of the city and found this gem. Highly recommend! Peaceful location. Wonderful historical property. The bed/linens are the most comfortable I’ve ever found in my travels. The owners/managers are onsite and so attentive and thoughtful. The breakfast included with the room was definitely the best meal we had on Cape Breton by far! It is a historical building which makes it so amazing but also bring ear plugs if noise is a bother since walls are thin.

Stayed here a few years ago and it was a great experience. So, we decided to return but unfortunately new owners have taken over and our experience this time was just creepy. The new owner(Glen) wouldn’t stop staring at my 9 year old daughter and walked in our room twice without knocking. Checked out a day early because of his behaviour and still had to pay for the night we weren’t there. Never again.

Cranberry Cove was a nice B&B and base for our visit to the Fortress at Louisbourg. The Innkeepers are new to the B & B - this is their first season and they don’t always seem to be on the same page🤷‍♀️ and hosting seemed a bit of a strain. I’m sure, in time, they will grow comfortable in their roles.||We stayed in the Cranberry Suite - it was nice size room with a seating area which was a plus. One downside was next to no hot water for showers in the morning. . The breakfast was ok - they are trying to add variety to their daily offering. We had pleasant conversations with fellow guests.||Note - Louisbourg sadly is a town that leaves quite a bit to be desired. Sadly, It is certainly on a downside. Cranberry Cove does present as an inviting property from the exterior.

We had a wonderful experience at the Inn. The hosts were wonderful. They were so caring that they even cooked Indian delicacy along with the breakfast. Rooms were really beautiful and had a vintage touch to it with all the interiors done really nice. Overall a very hospitable environment and definitely recommended.

I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying a Gilmore Girls-themed candle making workshop and autumn mini market at the Cranberry Cove Inn, and it was nothing short of incredible! The inn itself is a stunning Victorian-style gem with such attention to detail, both inside and out. The exterior looked like something straight out of a movie with a grand veranda, beautifully decorated with hay bales, vibrant flowers, and pumpkins, creating the perfect autumn ambiance.||Inside, the charm continued—rich woodwork, cozy vintage furniture, and that warm, welcoming feel that makes you want to stay forever. The hosts were lovely, caring, and made sure everything ran smoothly, adding such a personal touch to the entire event.||The event itself was amazing. There were fantastic local vendors, a popup Luke's Coffee shop (for all the caffeine addicts out there), someone doing live flash paintings, and a vintage clothing rack with stunning fall pieces. The whole atmosphere was just so warm and fun, filled with creativity and that cozy small-town charm.||After the event we went in to checkout some restaurants and ended up going to Spoondrift for a "Luke's Burger & Fry" and it was a 10/10!!!Whether you're staying overnight or attending a special event, Cranberry Cove Inn is the perfect place to experience all the best things about Louisbourg. I can’t recommend it enough!

I gave Rose, the new owner of the Cranberry Cove Inn, my credit card information over the phone and she told me she'd put the payment through when she got back into the office later that evening. (They only take bookings by phone or email.) A few minutes after we ended our conversation, I reached out over text, the method of communication we'd already been using, and asked her not to charge my card because I had changed my mind on the room. It cost more than I wanted to spend at that time. Instead of doing the right thing, she read my text and immediately charged my card. When I spoke to her again over the phone, she said she couldn't reverse the charge and gave me a high pressure sales pitch trying to convince me to take the room anyway. In the end, she agreed to reverse the charge but I'm very disappointed in Rose's lack of integrity and cannot recommend the Cranberry Cove Inn under its new ownership.

The experience at this (CRANBERRY COVE INN) A special little gem of Cape Breton Island was just so amazing... the homey Inn with the friendly hosts Glen and Rosemary were just so welcoming..The impeccable surroundings of the interior and exterior were like a turn back in time, It even had a breakfast that was so carefully put together.. I can't say enough of the service and the great memory that it has left in our minds.... Such friendly owners and the room was like a royal suite... amazing memory for us... thanks so much we will be back and will spread the word of your peace of paradise.|Our visit was Oct 28 of this year.

Yelp
Really cool b&b My lady and I were traveling around Nova Scotia and I booked this place based on its reviews and it was even better than expected. We had 'Ann's hideaway' and after a short chuckle that the room I booked had 2 single beds I reminded my lady of the expression ' if you love life is dependent upon you being 18 inches apart you aren't very motivated' The house is charming, Breakfast was delicious. and the staff was great. Couldn't ask for more.

Yelp
This is a wonderful bed and breakfast in a great old home. The proprietor, David, has maintained it well, appointed the rooms nicely and is very friendly and personable. The rooms all have air conditioning, quite rare in Nova Scotia and needed during some unusually hot days while there. Lovely wrap around porch for gathering. David served breakfast in the large dining area and each day was something new and delicious served with a fresh fruit bowl (also unusual in Nova Scotia). If staying in Louisbourg, this is where you want to be!
