Great resort, but beware of the lift company's (CMA) dishonest practices.
I am sharing this here because the Tourism Office needs to know how the lift company (CMA) is treating visitors. On December 23rd, I was sold day passes for beginners after explicitly being told at the counter that the beginner slopes at the top were open. They were, in fact, closed for the day.
Despite CMA admitting in writing that their staff provided false information, they have refused a refund. They only offered short-term vouchers that expire before I can return to the resort.
It is a shame that such a beautiful destination is tarnished by the lift company’s "take the money and run" attitude. If you are a beginner or a family, be aware that you cannot trust the information provided at the ticket offices. I hope the Tourism Office holds CMA accountable, as this lack of integrity and poor customer service reflects poorly on the entire Crans-Montana brand. Until this is resolved, I recommend families look at more customer-friendly resorts in the Valais.
