Crash Palace Backpackers

We loved our stay here at Crash Palace. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The place was clean and well kept. There was plenty of space to cook with multiple kitchens and dinning room. The courtyard was a nice place to relax, eat and chill. The room was big and sheets were clean. The bed was comfortable. The accommodation was in the middle of town and close to almost everything which was really nice. Lots of free parking around the area too.

What a little gem of a hostel. The staff were really nice and welcoming (Bastien who checked us in was really thorough!). The rooms were nice and the bathrooms were clean, spacious and plentiful. I never had to wait to use the facilities. The jacuzzi was a real treat!

I love this place! Everythings clean all the time and really good service and nice staff. The hostel got a cool outside area and a really cozy tv area, like a big living room with sofas and a pool table. The beds are also comfortable and its quiet in the night. Would definitely recommend it. I’ve stayed there multiple times.

Busy, somewhat noisy place. Clean. Tidy, well located. Comfy bed slightly let|Down by creaky springs/frame. Good showers. A few hooks to hang up clothes/towel would be nice. There is a Jacuzzi but it was pretty cold. Lots of places to eat reasonably near by.

I had a lovely stay at Crash Palace Backpackers. The staff Ava, Bastin were super friendly. Loved their Christmas party and I enjoyed the party a lot. The location is great and sets a great base to explore Rotorua. With good amenities, restaurants nearby, this is a great place to stay and I highly recommend this hostel.

I mostly travel from Auckland to Rotorua for work purposes and mostly I have booked crash palace backpackers Rotorua. I’m so impressed with service provided by stuffs ( very helpful) . The rooms very well maintained and cleaned same goes for washroom and bathroom area

I thoroughly enjoyed this super cute hostel. Bastin gave me a warm welcome, showed me around the place and spent a long time answering all of my questions and recommending things to do. Initially, I had only planned to spend one night in Rotorua. After speaking with Bastin about the activities and places he recommended, I changed my plans, cancelled my reservation at Hot Water Beach and spent two nights here. I paid for sharing a room with two bunks, four beds. I was surprised that I had the room to myself for both nights. I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful cat, Blakely, who always enjoyed being petted. Bailey also helped me recommend places based on my interest and amount of money I had to spend on my last day. She even shared some milk for my hot tea with me. This is the only hostel that I stayed at who provided laundry detergent to wash your clothes. You pay to use the washer and dryer and they have powdered laundry detergent available. All of their staff was very helpful and friendly with anything you need. I highly recommend staying here when in Rotorua.

This is located near the town centre. So it is very convenient. They have street parking but I am not sure about the safety. I stayed in dorm room with 8 beds (four bunk beds). Felt like I was packed compared to other hostels that Ive stayed. No plug points near the beds. No personal light blub/ reading light as well.
