Hands down best rainforest retreat we've been to. We were greeted at the front and made to feel very welcome, breakfast hamper was amazing, who doesnt want eggs and bacon for breakfast? Even some complimentary port which we loved. Had a private deck with lots of wildlife right in front of us, which was such an awesome experience.Thank you Jenny & John for sharing a piece of your paradise with us, we will be back.

Immaculate cosy cottage, with a neat functional kitchen, comfortable bed, and a great outdoor deck nestled into towering rainforest - private, pristine and perfect for a relaxing stay immersed in the natural beauty of the region. We stayed for 8 magical nights and were mesmerised by the birdlife and wildlife on show. Highly recommended! Thanks also to John and Jenny for all the thoughtful touches, and for being such gracious and welcoming hosts. :)

We had an amazing three night stay in “Tuscany”. Lovely cottage in the heart of the rainforest but near enough to Yurumba to get a coffee. The birdlife and animals were unbelievable, we never stepped out of the cottage without seeing something: red legged pademelons, musky rat kangaroos, striped possum, northern brown bandicoot, antechinus, Victoria rifle birds of paradise (and their courtship displays) were eating from our hands, alongside spotted catbirds, honey eaters (Lewis, Macleays, Bridle), grey headed robins, emerald doves, eastern whipbirds and many more. An absolute highlight was a male cassowary that visited every morning. John and Jenny were great hosts and the cottage had everything needed to be fully self catered. Would highly recommend.

An absolutely amazing place with an animal experience right in front of you on your own private deck and even in the palm of your hand. Thank you, John and Jenny. You are beautiful people and have a very special place we're honoured to have shared a moment of.

What a delight this place is. Please do yourself a favour and book a stay in John and Jenny's rainforest haven. Everything is thought of and very comfortable. It is particularly enjoyable for nature lovers but everyone will appreciate the peace and tranquillity. Could not recommend more highly.

Magical place to stay if you want to be immersed in nature. Plenty for bird watchers to photograph, plus we had a visit from a cassowary at our cabin on arrival and the last day. Pademlons with joey's in poches and also possums( although we didn't get to see one.) A short distance away are the fall where if your lucky you can spot a tree kangaroo. Great location to visit. I will be back for sure Thanks Jenny and John for providing this wonderful haven. 😊🐦🦘🦜🦎

Our lodge was spacious and well equipped. It is in the heart of a tropical rainforest. This means it was surrounded by tropical plants, birds, animal and insects. Fantastic for wildlife spotting. The bed was comfy, plenty of hot water, and the drinking water as pure as could be from their own borehole. I reckon they could start anther businesses selling pue water! |John and Jill - our hosts made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Their breakfast hamper was wonderful, and they even supplied wood for the fire.|They have produced their own wildlife book with photos and explanations of the huge variety of wild life that can be found just in front of your lodge. Amazing!|Lake Eacham is just 500 metres away - clear fresh lake that is gorgeous to swim in.|On the negative side, being in a rainforest it is of course a bit dark and damp at times, it is a 10 minute drive into town, and the gravel road at the entrance can be a bit slippy in the rain.|However, it is an absolutely fabulous place, especially if you love your wildlife

Cabins were comfortable and spacious. John was an excellent host and provided us with information about the wildlife, a breakfast hamper and food for the birds. On our first day we were greeted by many riflebirds who proudly displayed their mating dance on a wooden pole on the deck. We will be back!
