Magical place to stay if you want to be immersed in nature. Plenty for bird watchers to photograph, plus we had a visit from a cassowary at our cabin on arrival and the last day. Pademlons with joey's in poches and also possums( although we didn't get to see one.) A short distance away are the fall where if your lucky you can spot a tree kangaroo. Great location to visit. I will be back for sure Thanks Jenny and John for providing this wonderful haven. 😊🐦🦘🦜🦎

Our lodge was spacious and well equipped. It is in the heart of a tropical rainforest. This means it was surrounded by tropical plants, birds, animal and insects. Fantastic for wildlife spotting. The bed was comfy, plenty of hot water, and the drinking water as pure as could be from their own borehole. I reckon they could start anther businesses selling pue water! |John and Jill - our hosts made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Their breakfast hamper was wonderful, and they even supplied wood for the fire.|They have produced their own wildlife book with photos and explanations of the huge variety of wild life that can be found just in front of your lodge. Amazing!|Lake Eacham is just 500 metres away - clear fresh lake that is gorgeous to swim in.|On the negative side, being in a rainforest it is of course a bit dark and damp at times, it is a 10 minute drive into town, and the gravel road at the entrance can be a bit slippy in the rain.|However, it is an absolutely fabulous place, especially if you love your wildlife

Cabins were comfortable and spacious. John was an excellent host and provided us with information about the wildlife, a breakfast hamper and food for the birds. On our first day we were greeted by many riflebirds who proudly displayed their mating dance on a wooden pole on the deck. We will be back!

A wonderful place deep in the forest where all you can hear is the birds - and get the most fantastic views of them. Our bungalow was just beautiful. It was clear that so much thought had gone into providing us with anything that we might need for a great stay - it felt, and was, generous. The port in the crystal decanter was just the loveliest touch and we will never forget the wonderful displays from 'our' riflebirds, whipbirds, catbirds and so many more. Highly recommended!

Our cottage was amazing, the bed very comfortable, the food parcel generous, John was a great host, there was everything you could want in these beautifully built cottages in the middle of the rainforest. So you have all of this and then there is the birds and the wildlife. The birdsong was amazing to wake with... Their catchphrase is 'Where the wildlife comes to you'. This is so true, we saw a Pandemelon, a rat kangaroo, so many birds - I just could not stop smiling and clicking my camera. Best photos of birds I've ever had. Thank you for a wonderful stay. A highlight of our trip and would totally recommend to others.

I stayed 3 nights in the Beach Cottage and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The cottage was scrupulously clean. And well fitted out.|The breakfast hamper was plentiful and you are also given some food to feed the birds and other rainforest critters.|If you are a birdier, this will be paradise for you. I have always wanted to see a Paradise Riflebird, and I was not disappointed. |The Sounds of birds surround you all day. Except for a brief visit to nearby Curtin Fig Tree, I spent all my time at and around the cottages.|I would definitely recommend to stay, especially if you are a birder.

The best place we stayed in in Australia. Jenny is the perfect host and has set up these cottages in a location where mammals and birdds could be habituated. Amazing showing of riflebird, musky-rat kangaroo and other species.
