We were visiting from California and happened to come across this beautiful cupcake shop in route to dinner. Decided to stop in and were surprised to see that all the cupcakes had been sold out. After a brief chat with the staff and them finding out we were from out of state, they kindly offered to whip up 4 cupcakes for our family to try. The cupcakes were delicious!!! Will definitely stop by again anytime we are in Houston. 10/10 will recommend to all friends and family in the Houston area.

The place smells good but the cupcakes were dry with no taste . The frosting was sweet but the cupcake itself was nasty. I ask the girl when did they make the cupcakes and she said 4am and I arrived around 6 pm for the first time. I felt rushed and I was disappointed. We tossed it and went drove down the street to Nothing Bundtcakes.

This place is cute and quaint. Is clean and airy. We were immediately greeted upon walking in which is a plus. Great service. I tried the lemon and the caramel something cupcake and my daughter got the cookie sandwich. The cake of the cupcake is actually good…it sort of taste like box cake though not at all like a cupcake spot that specializes in cupcake. I was slightly disappointed by that. And the icing was horrible tasting on my caramel one. It was hard, it tasted old, like this had been there for three/four days. Just really nasty…it was okay on the lemon cupcake…And my daughter loved the cookie sandwich but it had too much icing in the middle. We scrubbed some off of it and right to the trash.

Dani was amazing! We came late in the day so there were no lines (in fact it was empty). Dani extremely patient with my daughter as she decided what to get. She opted for the dark chocolate cupcake and red velvet cake pop! I’m not much of a coffee drinker but I inquired if they had ice coffee and Dani said she could make it like an iced coffee (love her!) she suggested the cinnamon roast coffee which was delicious! The store was spotless! Extremely clean and smelled so good! There is one table off in the corner for seating if you want to enjoy your treats inside. For anyone with a furry loved one they also sell doggy treats. All around a great experience! Will be back.

I came to CRAVE Cupcakes for a quick bite after the gym. Everyone was so friendly and explaining which was popular and which ones got alcohol. I particularly like the Protein Bar because it's vegan, sugar and gluten free. It was small but mighty with all the listed ingredients: Walnuts, Steel Cut Oats, Almonds, Carob Chips, Soy Protein Powder, Agave, Vanilla Extract and Cinnamon. I can't wait to go back and get some more.

I love stopping by Crave when I'm craving (haha) something sweet. And Crave doesn't disappoint. The store, while being extremely cute and bright, just lifts your spirits when you enter. The staff at the counter are also so friendly and helpful, explaining the different flavors and new additions. And there is a plethora of options to try! My personal favorites are the classics: chocolate and strawberry. The cake is rich and hydrated, while the frosting manages to strike the perfect balance of sweetness without going overboard. I also like eating the sweet sugar candy symbol on the top! The attention to detail and consistent quality keeps me going back for more!

It was a very cute little place that looked modern and sleek. It was cool you could look back at the ovens and the baking setup. There were a lot of choices for desserts. They had a huge variety of cupcakes. I don't think i picked the best cupcake because there was a lot of frosting in comparison to cake but it was gorgeous. The only option for coffee was pour over and I wish they had more variety.

I went to CRAVE Cupcakes for a quick bite after the gym last month. Everyone was so friendly and explaining which was popular and which ones got alcohol. I skipped all that and went straight to Protein Bar because it's vegan, sugar and gluten free. It was small but mighty with all the powerful ingredients: Walnuts, Steel Cut Oats, Almonds, Carob Chips, Soy Protein Powder, Agave, Vanilla Extract and Cinnamon. I really wanted to try the Carajillo cupcake, but I am kind of afraid I will get a ticket for intoxication. This CRAVE Cupcakes in West University gave me some good vibes. I felt like bringing a book and chill for an hour after work. The aroma filled the restaurant and I want to get one tasty cupcake and a cup of tea. Parking is a little tricky in the front, especially during rush hours. People coming and leaving to other businesses at the same strip mall. I would rather walk and park further away because of the entrance to the parking lot.

I picked up some cupcakes from Crave as a thank you treat for some staff at work and had a great experience! I decided to go with the mini options so people could sample multiple flavors easily if they wanted, and everyone reported all the flavors (strawberry, red velvet, dark chocolate, vanilla) were delicious! I liked how they labeled the flavors with little stickers in the box. The store is pretty small, with nowhere to sit and enjoy your treats. Also, they tend to run out of flavors later in the day. There are a couple designated parking spots in front of the store.

Cute little bake shop and a strip mall not too hard to find. I thoroughly enjoyed the old school sour cream coffee cake and the almond sliced cake. The red velvet cupcake was a plus also. If you're looking for a little sweet they have cookies, cake pops, liquor infused cupcakes, doggie treats, cake pops etc. A little something for everyone. They also serve coffee, they do not have decaf in case you were looking for that or flavored creamer. The staff is very kind and helpful and assisting you with checking out or choosing a flavor.

I had to go back and take care of my CRAVE for their cupcakes. These are the best cupcakes in Houston. Awesome variety and always fresh. Ten stars.

Cupcakes are still good! I got the old fashioned birthday cake, which was fun to try, but I personally wouldn't get it again. A plus was that the cupcake wasn't as dry as last time, but the yellow cake flavor wasn't really giving YELLOW CAKE. Idk how to explain it lol, but it just tasted like a very very basic vanilla cupcake. Also, the milk chocolate frosting was underwhelming. I see the vision, but the execution wasn't the best. Both the cake and frosting need a stronger flavor profile. The sprinkles were great ofc. Service is always just okay or superb. Today, it was just okay. Not sure if the worker couldn't hear me, but I had asked her for the cupcake with the blue fondant topping like multiple times, and she just proceeded to grab the other one, which is not a problem, but it was a bit embarrassing cuz I was like hellloooooooo??? It's fine tho! One thing I still hate is the parking lot. Wayyyy too tight and packed.

This is my favorite cupcake shop in houston! Everytime I have come in, the service is great and everyone is friendly. They have so many options to choose from, but it is limited later in the day. The strawberry one is my favorite. It has strawberry pieces in the cake part, and the icing is so light and fluffy with just the right amount on top. I also got the red velvet and very much enjoyed that one. Make sure to watch out for special flavors they put out!

I RSVP for the Crave Elite event at the Kirby drive location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was giving the option to choose any flavored cupcake, cake pop and coffee of my choice. I choose the strawberry cupcake, the birthday cupcake and a hot latte. Everything was sweet and delicious. I also added in a lemon cupcake, which was to die for!! The ambiance was very clean and modern.

I visited the Crave on West U and grabbed a cupcake to try. I was greeted and assisted with flavor recommendations by the staff. It was an overall wonderful experience outstanding customer service, very clean and well organized. I tried out the classic Vanilla cupcake. This cupcake had a unique frosting not too sweet a perfect texture and not too much on the cupcake itself. it was $4.50 which is a very fair price considering how large 1 cupcake is. I enjoyed Crave cupcakes and recommend to anyone looking for a sweet treat!

The cupcakes are good as usual but I was a bit disappointed that when we put in the order for expresso martini and Carajillo they didn't have them They were special edition for this month. Then we ordered for 6 and received only 5. There were 2 individually pack and one box of 4 but there were only 3 Overall cup cakes are good.

I was craving a red velvet cupcake today and I definitely found the best place , the frosting on their red velvet cupcakes is so soft and creamy it was definitely amazing ! The filling was soft but not too sweet! Definitely going back again soon, the ambiance was quiet and they have chairs and tables to enjoy cupcakes or coffee in a nice quiet ambiance , the service was definitely outstanding , they also have reserved parking specially for the costumers , overall I definitely give it 5 stars and I'll go back again .

I've visited numerous times over a span of several years. Always friendly service and very bright & clean inside. Cupcakes always taste fresh. I've gotten the mini cupcakes for a baby shower too which you can personalized the topping. Their limited edition Vietnamese coffee flavor was my absolute favorite cupcake! It was their second time offering it and I really hope it can come back for limited runs again or even as a permanent flavor!

Came in on fourth of July and got a salted caramel cupcake and a red velvet lollipop as well as a coffee. Location was brightly lit and clean. Service was great and accommodating

I came on Saturday morning right at opening to avoid crowds/people. I got an espresso martini cupcake and carrot cake cupcake. The worker there was very nice and explained each item thoroughly (I asked about the cupcakes and coffee). He told me all the ingredients in the cupcake and how the coffee tasted (two options, one with cinnamon notes, and one that was just plain). The espresso martini and carajillo cupcakes were both limited editions and a collab with Maven, which were not advertised at Crave at all. No signage or anything and you wouldn't know about it unless you follow Maven and/or Lance McCullers (which I do both). The espresso martini cupcake was perfect. Chocolatey, espressoey, and decadent. The carrot cake (the worker's favorite, and one of my preferred cakes) was not bad, but not the best I've had, the frosting was too sweet. I've come a few times in the past and never had a bad experience here. Only negative thing is that it's pricey!

We try not to indulge in Crave Cupcakes too often. They always have the most decadent and beautiful cupcakes in their display. We visited this location during Rodeo season hoping to find some special treats to split with friends/family. This location has limited parking, but with a little patience you might get lucky and find something. The staff is friendly and efficient. The menu has rotating seasonal and regular items for the whole family, but if you want something specific it is probably best to call ahead. We enjoy the following: - Cupcake latte - Chai Tea Latte - Old fashipned birthday cake cupcake - Salted caramel cupcake - Wedding cake cupcake - Rodeo confetti - Rodeo yellow rose bourbon - Cotton candy cupcake - Crave doggie treats We try not to order the same thing. If you are in the area and craving something sweet and shareable, we hope you give them a try.

Beautiful clear display of cupcakes. Clean and neat interior. It is an inviting vibe. They have large selection of different flavors for everyone. I had the confetti, salted caramel, and vanilla cupcakes. The bases of the 3 cupcakes are the same. The icing on top of the cupcakes were a little too sweet for me. However, I prefer the salted caramel one because of the contrast of sweet and salt, also there was a small amount of caramel injected in the middle of the cupcake base. I will go back to try other flavors like the dark chocolate to see if there will be surprise inside.

This review focuses on the vegan and Gluten Free options available at Crave, which are plentiful and very well priced. I actually drove out of my way to get the vegan red velvet cupcake. I remembered it having a different taste than what I received today. Additionally, since I am really trying to minimize my gluten and choose vegan options as much as possible, I decided to pick up the vegan and Gluten Free chocolate chip cookie. I have to tell ya- I miss Gluten and chocolate eating this cookie. It just wasn't enough of a replacement for me to be determined that I could go without the real thing without complaints. It just was more cake than cookie consistency for me. I missed the crunch of the cookie with bits of melted chocolate between. bites. But thats just personal preference. The dessert was edible and filling. I'm carb sensitive but this cookie didn't leave me wanting my pillow after eating it, which is a good thing. It just was really sweet for my taste. Like drink a whole bottle of water sweet. That alone is the only real reason I wouldn't suggest this dessert. The vegan red velvet was a little dry. I needed water to devour it. I had to take breaks eating it in fact. It too was not my cup of tea, but for those whose only option is vegan desserts, it's a great replica of the real thing. Again however the frosting is way too thick and sweet for my taste. I believe my experiment with vegan desserts was not a complete fail, but I think I rather eat non vegan cupcakes and cookies in extreme moderation and soothe my sweet tooth whenever possible.

I ordered cupcakes through Goldbelly and they were excellent!!! I have been trying to get to Houston since April 2020 and try these cupcakes!!! My mom who is a picky eater loved the cupcakes!!! The cupcakes arrived fresh and not damaged.

It's a cute place, with cute products. I'm just not a fan of the cupcakes. The cupcakes are a little dry and dense for my taste, and the frosting is way to thick/hard for me. I know people love it, it's just not for me.

This West U location delivers a consistent flavorful product and usually keeps a good supply of the favorites on stock. The special occasion cupcakes are usually well-decorated. I had vanilla icing chocolate cake, strawberry, and plain vanilla. Icing is a little sweet and grainy, but the cake was moist. Staff are professional and friendly and don't do that annoying thing with their tablet where they hover over it in expectation of a tip. I tried their coffee for the first time as a part of Yelp Elite week, and I was surprised to find it was quite delicious and brewed fresh. I had just come from a coffee shop donwtown and theirs compared favorably despite being a cupcake bakery. There is limited seating, but this strip of shops is mostly in and out, with parking changing over frequently.

Always great service, always great selection of products, I love that they provide all sorts of extras like birthday or greeting cards, candles. I love their coffee. The cupcakes have not gotten old the ten years I have been a customer. If you want to put a smile on anyone's face this is the place. They offer sugar free, vegan options if needed. Now there is not much space to stay and eat there in the store, so I want you to think of them as less of a care you go and stay and more of a place you get the goodies and go elsewhere. Last time I was there, I was having a horrible day absolutely horrible, I had tears in my eyes and I am not the type to cry in public. They just were so kind so caring so wonderful to me. I was touched. Thank you Crave.

One of the best places to get cup cakes. It's a good treat to bring to a party or office. It's recommended to come early so you get first dibs on the variety of flavors. They usually run out of their best flavors toward the end of the day. The staff here are very friendly and sweet. If you can't decide what flavors to get then just ask the staff. They always know best. The plaza is a bit small with a limited parking but you will be in and out. The service is pretty quick. I also like that the cupcakes are always packed in a cute blue box to keep your cupcake intact. Would highly recommend.

i must say i was rather impressed with Crave customer service from the moment i placed the order over the phone to the moment i picked up my order. the place was very nice clean atmosphere and the cupcake was very delicious from what i was told. i will definitely be ordering again!!!

Excellent cupcakes. Whenever we're in Houston, we pick up 5-10 dozen for business events. Our customers love them and we certainly enjoy a few in the process.

Great staff and location. The coconut and red velvet cupcakes are sinfully good. Make sure you don't go in on an empty stomach like I did and order newly one of everything.

Sweet and fast transactions. The biggest flaw for me, was finding out Crave only hold cupcakes with payment over the phone, but would not collect payment over the phone after 5pm. They had 21 limited edition cupcakes, while I was driving from Katy, and when I arrived they had 3 lucky green cupcake left. (Which are Birthday cake flavor, & green color.) No Irish rum marshmillows cream cupcakes available. No military discounts.

Visiting houston and having the sweettooth that I do led me here. I'm glad it did! Esthetically this shop is a dream. From the vintage mixers on the store front display to the perfectly positioned cupcake display case. But is it good? YES! I tried the cookies n cream, the red velvet and the carrot cake cupcakes and they were all good. The best one was definitely the red velvelt. It was the moist and well balanced in my opinion. I am usually biased towards cookies and cream so this is saying a lot. Carrot cake was good but nothing out of this world. I'm glad there was no Pineapple component as people like to add. I also tried the pecan pie bar, it was yummy and well balanced but out shadowed by the cupcakes. The chocolate chip cookie was also alright, def decent. Not too cruchy for being a basic cookie. Solid choice if looking for a less decadent treat. My friend tried several of their Gluten-free cupcakes and the lemon bar and said it was really good. Definitely a plus that they offer GF. I highly recommend if you're in the area.

Crave cupcake has always been my favorite cupcake place in Houston since day one, and we get Crave cupcakes for the whole family for the holidays and our birthdays. Each cupcake is beautifully made and artistically done. The amount of icing is just right, and the flavor is not too sweet or heavy, it is just PERFECT. The cake itself is flavorful and moist. Everything tastes fresh, made with quality ingredients. The staff is very friendly and thoughtful. I also appreciate that they sell individual candles, very thoughtful!

The only cupcake that is close to ok is the chocolate. Everything else can barely pass for a cupcake. These are basically muffins with frosting on top. If you like your cupcakes dense and on the lighter side of sweet, then this is it. As for me, i won't return.

I just found this out recently, but they do half off their cupcakes around closing time and they stay open a few minutes after closing too in case someone wants to get their cupcakes half off. Normally their cupcakes are a bit pricey ranging from 3.75 to 4.75 per cupcake. However, even one cupcake is very filling since they are so rich and have a large amount of cream on top. My personal favorites are the red velvet and the vanilla cupcakes. At this location, their service is pretty quick and I usually do not have to wait long to get my cupcakes. They also have festive or birthday cupcakes that cost a dollar or so more than their regular cupcakes. If you are into the cute decorations on cupcakes or might need the cupcakes for a party or event, then these are worth a try!

Crave cupcake has great customer service and the establishment is nice and clean. They have daily and seasonal cupcake flavors, but their most popular and my favorite is the red velvet . They are reasonably priced at $4.25 (regular size). Mini cupcakes are also available with preorder by the dozen. They do offer other menu items (view website), but I only visit for the cupcakes.

Great option for take home desserts for the kids....ok and adults too. Recommend the red velvet.

Great cupcakes and service! I found out kind of last minute that this is my roommate favorite cupcakes and I wanted to get some for her birthday. I arrived about 1pm on a Friday and was immediately asked what they could do for me. I ordered six already made cupcakes from their cake case and within 3-5 minutes, I had paid and received a nice box of the six. Six cupcakes were about $25? Which is a little expensive, but they were very good. The cupcakes are great if you like sugar and personally I suggest eating them cold lol.

We have been going to Crave for years and they are the best cupcakes! Our family favorite is the strawberry cupcake, it's very light and delicious! They also have vegan cupcakes too, would highly recommend!

Moist Cupcakes in town, this my favorite spot Over all the others. Most of there flavors are great. I'm a sucker for there red velvet....I constantly find myself driving from Katy to come grab some togo. Never been let down anytime I come. Moist, tasty and frosting never too sweet. This place is a must stop while in the rive village area.

We love Crave and don't have one near us so it's always a special treat to stop in when we're in town. Our family stopped in at 5 on a Friday and the majority of flavors were sold out. The employee was extremely rude to us and made us feel so uncomfortable that we didn't even want to order anything but my kids still wanted to. She wasn't wearing a name tag - Her necklace said Shayla but the receipt said Gabby O. checked us out. Extremely dissatisfied in the lack of friendliness. And the expectation to flip the screen for a tip! Cupcakes are celebratory - happy employees are such a benefit!

Service is okay. Great cupcakes but they act like they stop baking cupcakes after noon and will not make anymore even though they're open until 6 pm. Arrived at 1:30 and they didn't have anymore confetti cupcakes in the display asked the attendant if they were making more he said probably not.

Always my favorite cupcake place. Flavors are really good. The strawberries have real strawberries in it--Same with the lemon raspberry ones. They have gluten free and sugar free. They have the skinny cupcakes that taste just like the regular ones. I love their icing. I'm not an icing person so I like that they put just enough and not overload it with the sweetness. They have so many different flavors and sizes of cupcakes. They also carry cookies and other treats. They also sell milk. Due to covid restrictions, They only allow 3 people inside. Cashiers change gloves in between customers. They're very friendly and helpful as well. Love this place. Check it out!

Definitely worth a try. There are a number of staple flavors always present and about 4 flavors that seem to rotate through an interesting assortment of specials. Overall, we have really enjoyed their cupcakes. Most of them, we have been very pleased with. Occasionally, we get one that we think is a little on the drier side but that is evened out by some that are outstanding. Their Oreo or cookie series have pieces of cookies baked right into the batter (a novelty that I enjoy even if my wife does not). We find that we like the their smooth topped cupcakes better as the ratio of frosting-to-cake fits our taste more. The swirl tops have a lot of frosting if that is what you are interested in.

Came here on a weekday and ordered the confetti cupcake to go. The employee who helped me was incredibly courteous, kind, and helpful. I asked about the artificial sugar in the 007 and lemon raspberry, and he found out the information in an expeditious way. He even asked if the cupcake I picked out "looked okay". The cupcake was so beautiful and yum. Loved this whole experience!

Crave Cupcakes is the BEST! I was in Cupcake Heaven last week picking out my very yummy and delicious complimentary Cupcake. This is all thanks to our awesome Houston YELP Leader, Ms. Farrah. Thank you so much for all you do in planning our Yelp Events. What a treat! My schedule allowed for the last Friday, Jan 17th to go by and pick this up and enjoy. And that's what I did. Crave is a cute little shop filled with all things yummy in Cupcake. My Favorite Cup Cake of all time is the Wedding Cake and it didn't disappoint. So moist and very delicious. Since we are still in the Rona Times, I took the cupcake to go, hopped in my car and off I went. Counting the minutes till I was home to devour this piece of yumminess. And you know I could smell this cupcake the whole way home too!! The Staff was super friendly and very helpful too. This is just a great and happy place. Wish I could have a Crave cupcake everyday!! Parking is little difficult at this location. But once you bite into your Cupcake, all is good in the world again. Thank you again!

Dropped by here to grab some cupcakes for our dog groomers because our pup decided not to act right. They had every single flavor in stock and the line moved very efficiently and swiftly. I was also concerned they were not going to take cash but I called ahead and they did and that was awesome.

I don't normally crave cupcakes, but when I do, I go to crave. Parking can be bad as the parking lot isn't very big and it's shared with a lot of businesses. I can only really speak for the red velvet cupcake, which is absolutely divine. I've had some of the other flavors but don't remember how good/bad they were. The dulce de leche cupcake is good as well. They sell a few other products such as milk, cookies, brownies, and dog treats. Employees have always been very nice. I've never experienced bad customer service here.
