Had pulled pork sandwich. Not too bad. The water was amazingly horrible. But the staff were nice and helpful. The prices were surprisingly high.

Crave definitely lives up to its name! The tri-tip sandwich was incredibly juicy and flavorful, the ahi tacos were an absolute taste sensation, and judging by the 4.6-star rating on Google Maps, it seems like everyone else who's been there agrees. But it's not just the food that makes Crave special. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

A bit of a wait to get our food. Hubby's tator tots were cold, burger was just ok. Rice & beans were nasty. Chicken Enchiladas aren't the best either.. only thing good was mac n cheese overall was not worth the $60

This is my favorite restaurant in town. In Shasta there aren’t many food options, so I’m SO GLAD Crave is here for us!! I always get their veggie pupusas and veggie nachos! It’s 10x better than the nachos at any of the wanna be Mexican restaurants in town. Also, Lydia is the absolute best and I love that they have an outdoor sitting area!

Great little restaurant in Mt Shasta. The outside seating was nice since we had our dog with us. We had the nachos, papusas, and the pulled pork sandwich. It was all really good. Unfortunately we were so hungry and the food looked so good, I didn’t get a photo of the food itself. My two boys want to go back tomorrow, hopefully I’ll remember to get a picture of the food then. Edit: We went back and again enjoyed our meals. The burrito was okay. The lettuce got all limp and soggy, so I pulled it out. Otherwise the burrito was good.

Amazing food and staff!!! I never had a chile Verde burrito before but it was amazing and we also had the Tri-tip Dinner with mac and cheese, it melts in your mouth. You must try!! They also have local and non local alcohol!!

Crave Comfort Foods is the realest, most delish place in mt shasta. I am so happy I was introduced to this restaurant and get to eat here often! You can pick up on the love and care put into each meal and that makes good memories and yummy experiences. There is something in the menu for everyone. There are different specials offered & sometimes desserts! Thank you Crave, for satisfying all our craves and nourishing our community! :)

Ribs here are the real deal! Can't remember the last time I had 'em so good, and I smoke my own meats. Hope to be able to match these some day. The BBQ sauce wasn't overly sweet like all commercial sauces are. Mild though. The mac n cheese is great, using real cheese. The coleslaw was also very good...the healthy style without mayo. We come up once a year and am kicking myself for not making it to Crave last year when I read about them. Won't make that mistake again.

I stop in at Crave every time I pass through the area. It is consistently great food at a reasonable price.

Wow! What a nice surprise in a small town. Food was a little pricey but super delicious. Service was quick and we left super happy and satisfied. Great stop on our route.

Good food for Shasta... Don't order the Pupusas unless you are okay making an El Salvadoran shed a tear. For whatever reason they put Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce on them.

Whether you want Mexican food or a huge fresh salad... THIS is the place for you *smiles* Big Azz burrito was pretty good for $17. It has rice, refried beans, lettuce, steak, sour cream, cheese. It was "pretty good". Comes with a small container of a smoky salsa. The salad for $13.99 is huge and fresh. It contains crisp romaine, red leaf lettuce, red cabbage, purple and green sprouts, a sprinkling of shredded carrots, a few grape tomatoes. It REALLY needs some kind of protein, so I added some shredded chicken for +$1.50. super clean and fresh tasting. The ranch dressing was *eh* I'd order the salad again, but it's just a lot of greens *thumbs up* Some indoor seating, lots of outdoor seating with wood picnic tables (half with nice big umbrellas). Looks like you bus your own tables when you are done. Super casual spot to grab some lunch.

We've been to this place several times when we are in Mt Shasta. The food is so good and they have Fresca!!

Food was great! I had the Lobster Taco Special. Expensive but tasty. Service was slow, but they apologized and said their staff just got back to school. The decor is kick back. Next time I'm road-tripping on adventure I will stop by. - 'PURSUING BALANCE THROUGH ADVENTURE'

Food was fresh and fabulous. Walked up the hill after plugging in my Rivian at the Treehouse Hotel. Sat outside and enjoyed the sites. Highly recommend.

This was the first time we had ever wandered into Crave in Mount Shasta. As others have said, it's a tiny place, but it does have some indoor seating, which is nice when it's either too hot or too cold outside. It has plenty of outdoor seating with nice views since Mount Shasta is beautiful. My husband got the half rack of ribs and yes, they were incredible. I am typically very hard to please when it comes to ribs and even I would've scarfed these down. They were literally falling off the bone tender, they were incredibly juicy, and the handmade dry rub was very flavorful, but not overpowering. These were absolutely worth getting and we'll come back to get them again. The mac & cheese was great, and my husband liked the coleslaw. Honestly, the only thing we got out of the entire meal that I would take any stars off of at all, was the barbecue sauce. And that is subjective because people in the midwest (my husband is a born and raised okie) know real BBQ, are very picky about the sauce, and this sauce wasn't it. But seriously, these ribs do NOT need sauce. I got the lobster taco special and really enjoyed them. There was no shortage of actual lobster which was tender and not chewy. The flavor was a nice blend with the toppings and sauce. It was a very refreshing meal that would have been nice in the summer time. It came with fresh made salsa. I'm a bit of a salsa snob and I liked it. Personally, I would have liked a hint of salt but almost no one likes as much salt in salsa as I do so don't hold that against it. They classified it as "medium" heat. I didn't think it was quite medium but if you don't like any heat at all, then I would say it wasn't totally a textbook "mild". It was very flavorful. Aside from the food, which is obviously what took us there, the service was great. The young lady that met us at the counter was very friendly when we got there, but not only that, what I will assume is the owner and definitely the chef, came out later to check on us. We stopped him to ask about the rub and he took time to really chat with us. We appreciated that he didn't treat us like a number or a customer that didn't matter, even though I'm sure he was busy. We're in this area quite often and will definitely add Crave to the regular rotation list.

Definitely mid. Has some bangers but has some boo boo. Pupusas with chili verde were really good. would def order those again $14 for two street tacos with juanitas chips and some pace picante jarred salsa just leaves you wanting more. Fish in the fish tacos is frozen battered gordon fisherman quality fish. Don't order fish in Mount Shasta might be the lesson. The awkard seating inside adds to the lack luster.

Crave = COMFORT food Crave is my go to anytime I'm craving comfort food that I know is going to be tasty. I've been coming here pretty regularly for over a year now. They're always so friendly, food is great (lots of vegetarian options + a separate vegetarian menu!!), and the place is spotless. The lady that owns it is so nice. Always courteous and helpful. All the staff are the same way too. Overall, I always have a great experience when I eat here. Food tastes great and staff + service is great! 10/10 recommend

Really good BBQ pork ribs, Mac-n-Cheese, and coleslaw! Meaty, well smoked and seasoned ribs. We ordered the 4-rib and 2-rib dinner plates. Tender meat, and a lot of it! (I could have got by with a 3-rib plate). Mac-n-cheese was wonderful! Crunchy bits (which I like), and creamy cheesy texture. Coleslaw looked house made and was wonderful as well. Not overly coated in a mayonnaise dressing. Crunchy, apple cider vinegary, with a slight buffer of a creaminess in the dressing! What a find in Mt Shasta! We will be back for more!!! We ate outside in the early evening sun so nice and warm but not hot or cold. No view of Mt Shasta from seating areas, but we will gladly sacrifice the view while devouring this food!

"Best mac-n-cheese I've ever had" according to my son and that says a lot! Chili verde tacos and pupusa were delish as well. Friendly service with made to order meals. Great choice for a quick stop!

My wife and I ate here with a small group of friends. It was a nice warm day, so we chose to eat outside. The menu was surprisingly large. They had 2 boards of specials near the counter. Some of our group were on special diets. No one had trouble finding something that would work for them. The food was delicious. The server was friendly and refilled our water glasses (for those that chose water) regularly. We were all glad to have chosen to eat here.

Lovely spot in Mt Shasta. Great outdoor seating and an interesting and diverse menu for a small(ish) place. We had the vegetarian pupusas and valle Mexican lager and was delicious. The staff are outstanding. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend!

Super pricey and I have yet to receive the correct order on the first time. It's awesome that they give you taste samples of the kombucha!

We did not try the ribs but the food was delicious! Great service! We had fish tacos, pupusa, and burritos!

My partner and I were visiting Dunsmuir for the holiday and I'm glad this spot was open on Dec 25th! Everything was delicious. Service was excellent and fast. There's a friendly atmosphere and I could tell the workers care about what they do.

I like this place a lot their burritos their ribs their smiling faces . And a cold beef on tap an extra BONUS

Food doesn't match price. Expensive! Only 12 tots. Not much meat on tri tip sandwich. Burger average at best.

I was very impressed with the quality, texture and flavor of the tri tip. Will definitely go back. I also liked that the owner interacted with the customers. It is a true family owned business. Thumbs up!

Three and a half stars. Crave generously offered samples of everything, including the beer and cider. Husband wanted the ribs but they had just sold the last order as we walked in. We both ordered the tacos; mine with chicken, his with carne asada. They are served with beans, Peruvian beans, and salsa. The tacos were delicious and rather filling, in spite of their small size. The beans and rice were tasty but lukewarm. Our leftovers were just right heated in a microwave the next day. There are a lot of tables outside for dining as well as a couple inside. You order at the counter and your food is delivered to your table. There is no parking lot, rather just on street parking, but as the restaurant is a block east of the main drag (Mt. Shasta Blvd) one can usually find a parking space close by.

We enjoyed a lovely evening sitting outdoors. Everyone enjoyed their food, especially me, I had the papusas with chili verde, so delicious!

Sadly no photo but as a longtime fan of their famous Ribs I decided to try the Tri-Tip Salad... OMG over the top good with all the possible salad fixins including fresh sprouts and a GREAT dressing; the meat was sliced thin 3 sheets of it, and cut into bite sized pieces, SO GOOD... melt in your mouth beef and the good pasture raised as well. I cannot remember EVER getting a salad this good from any restaurant including the fancy SF gang. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG with Crave!

What an unexpected jewel! On a road-trip passing through Mount Shasta, we found this awesome bbq restaurant. Had the ribs and the tri-tip sandwich. OMG- best ribs I've had in a long time. And the sandwich was so delicious with the perfectly crusty bread and fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.

Small intimate place. Nothing fancy, but food was excellent and staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful.

Absolutely a must try if you're in Mt Shasta City. The meat falls off the bone on their ribs and their burgers are some of the best Ive had. Kind service and a wonderful outdoor area. Go here now!

We really enjoyed the food... it was a great find on our drive up the Coast. Service was great and the food was fresh and very tasty. We ordered the tacos (chicken, fish and steak) and the enchiladas. Would highly recommend - if you are in the area.

The Holy Grail in Mount Shasta for comfort food. Their Mac & Cheese is the absolute best on the planet and so are their ribs. When everyone is so busy walk up one street and enjoy the best artisan type munch. Unique, incredible food that you'll be full and you'll say to yourself, I don't want to stop because it's warm and I know that flavor will not be the same later. This not just a meal, this is a cinema.

Very small cute restaurant, sometimes busy and sometimes slow. Excellent food, the ribs are insane! I have to wonder how do they do it every time I get their ribs! All the meats are really good and smoky. Salads and coleslaw are fresh. Definitely worth a try!

Love this place. It is not fancy or cheap but such a nice surprise. Order the papusas. They are so unique and tasty. We have been back several times. A hidden gem.

This is the second time I've eaten here. The first time , I ordered a pull pork sandwich and today I ordered an Ahi tacos . It was delicious The place is small, very clear and off the main road. Service is good and the food is great I recommend walking up the hill and choosing weather to eat indoors or outdoors. Either way, the ambiance is joyful

A hidden gem in Mt Shasta. Great bbq and excellent seating options off the main drag! The menu, while short and eclectic, is well executed. I had the daily special-- a 17 hour smoked brisket sandwich, that was out of this world. The roll was fresh and the meat was smoky and fall apart tender. The coleslaw was perfectly crunchy and tart, and the bbq sauce was rich and savory. The meat portion size was hearty too! My partner had the large pulled pork sandwich and raved about how good it was. The portion was heaping and the pork was flavorful. The only thing I wish were that the restaurant served beer - but I made do with my rootbeer.

My family had an amazing meal here last weekend as the sunset happened over the mountains. Lots of tables outside and heaters. Great service, but the food was superb. From Peruvian beans (we had them with homemade tortilla chip), burritos, burgers, and I had a pulled pork - which was just right. The whole thing was great - and it was all locals eating here. I guess because it is one block off the main drag. Friendly service and you could tell they take pride in their food. Last thing -- top IPA tap beers less than 5 bucks!

I have been wanting to try Crave for awhile now and so happy I did. It's a casual eatery with outside picnic table and a nice atmosphere. We ordered the tacos which were so delicious and fresh. Friendly service all around.

We were looking for a spot for lunch while driving through and glad Crave popped up. It was delicious! The ahi tacos were super-fresh, flavorful and healthy. In fact, the best fish tacos i've had recently. My husband and son loved their burgers and a carne asada street taco. The pies looked amazing but we were stuffed. This is a local, down home ma and pop spot that you can feel good about supporting while enjoying good food. Highly recommend!

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing - the tri-tip sandwich. Very mediocre and barely even warm. I was told it would be a 15 minute wait but turned out 35. Not fun when really hungry and then get mediocre food - not worth the wait.

They have wonderful Pupusas. You can pick either chicken or if you're a vegetarian, or vegan, you can have them without the chicken. They always appreciate tips in the tip jar. I always tip 20%. They have outdoor seating as well as limited indoor seating. Tasty Mexican food. Looks like a family owned business. !Muchas Gracias por la comida bien!

The best and freshest ahi tacos ever! We drove up from Napa and just randomly picked this restaurant based on Yelp review. The are only six tables inside but more outside for better weather. These tacos were better than any of the 20 + restaurants and taco trucks I have tried back home. I will definitely be back! Kudos and thanks!

The carne asada taco plate with Peruvian rice and beans is a winner! Crave has a beautiful outdoor seating area in downtown Mt Shasta, highly recommended place to get burgers and tacos with friends.

Cool little place. It's a converted dental office, but feels more like your visiting someone's house. Great food! Varied selection. Nice selection of beers on tap. I was in Mt. Shasta City for a week and ate here three days in a row. Probably the best Mac & Cheese I've ever had. The Peruvian beans were delicious. I had the tri-tip dinner the first night. I had the seared Ahi tuna tacos the next night, which I wouldn't have ordered if the meal the night before hadn't impressed me so; it's too easy for places to really mess up Ahi tuna. They did it right. I sampled the homemade salsa that was on the side after finishing the tacos (they didn't need any salsa to add flavor); it was great with a smoky, chipotle type flavor. Finally, I had the chicken enchiladas on the third night. A friend had come and joined me; he had a bacon cheeseburger and really liked it. The service was great every time. Friendly, answered my questions, engaged in conversation with me, etc. I only wish I lived in town and could go there all the time!

Just discovered this fun little restaurant in Mt Shasta. The burger was really good and they serve tater tots instead of fries. They have outdoor seating with a tent, but offered we could sit inside to eat as well. The place was very clean, and the proprietors were friendly. We surely will go back and I highly recommend you check it out!!
