We ended up here because we won 2 nights in a raffle. The place is quite cozy. It is quite nice looking and the installations are quite good. In the spa the steam bath wasn't working but the rest was well maintained. The room wasn't huge but more than enough, with a nice terrace. Unfortunately because we got this in a raffle we were bound to book only on low season and the weather wasn't fantastic. I imagine if the weather was better we would have enjoyed it a lot more (but if it's free... You cannot complain much, right?). The "farm" part for us being vegan was a bit sad, probably the animals end up in the same slaughter house as all the others and are there to "entertain" people. It stands as an "alternative" place for "hipsters" or more "nature people" but then they don't have almost any vegan option in the menu or in the breakfast. Overall an okay experience, if you are vegan I wouldn't recommend it... If you are not vegan try to go when there's good weather.

Positive: The hotel and gardens themselves are beautifully laid out at first glance. There are fresh salads, herbs, fruit and eggs for every guest to pick. The animals (donkeys, horses, goats, chickens, a sheep, cats) are a highlight for children. If the weather is bad, you can always take a dip thanks to the indoor pool. The cleaning staff and the chefs are extremely friendly and helpful. Negative: The complex is literally falling apart. There seems to be a lack of sustainable maintenance. The bicycles are not usable as they are also rusty and slowly falling apart. Unfortunately, the playground is actually life-threatening and will soon collapse. The service staff in the restaurant made an effort at the beginning but their knowledge was limited and in the end they seemed disinterested and in the end cutlery was left on the floor, food or coffee was only placed on the edge of the table and there was no eye contact or words. This does not apply to all service staff in the restaurant, but to the majority. In the end, there was even a lack of spoons and cutlery at the breakfast buffet to put the food on the plates. A matter of course that you can't really overlook. The breakfast was relatively spartan and fruit and vegetables were unfortunately only available in the form of lettuce, apples (no longer edible), oranges and pears. The animal husbandry seemed somewhat questionable at times in view of the conditions of the enclosures and the staff watching on. However, I do not want to go into this topic any further. In the end, it didn't match the price asked. A great pity, as the first impression was very nice. With more maintenance and more investment in staff training, this hotel could be one of the best in the region.

We spent four nights at Craveiral Farmhouse and I thought long and hard about whether and how I should write a review. The concept and the idea are very appealing and coherent, but in many places the implementation is not worth the asking price. Despite its relatively young age, the facility is unfortunately in a poor state of maintenance. This ranges from a wobbly children's playground and an unsightly bathroom to a dirty, uncomfortable couch in our farmhouse. In addition, the staff are unfortunately not well trained, which leads to a very limited service overall. Ultimately, the owners and management are responsible for the state of affairs. In my eyes, they fail to realize the basically beautiful concept as it should be.

We have just had the most wonderful stay. The farmhouse is just gorgeous, the setting, grounds and rooms are stunning - everywhere you look you are surrounded by nature and it is so peaceful. The food was exceptional - healthy, fresh, delicious. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the menu is vast. I am also gluten free and the kitchen were so accommodating - they even made me fresh pasta as I ordered. Most of the food is grown onsite - it’s a great concept. We had massages and did horse riding along the coast - both were amazing. The pool areas are so calming - I love how everything is connected via decking, you really feel at one with nature. We had our dog with us and the whole resort is so dog friendly… he was really welcome everywhere and we loved it! I love the WhatsApp service too - you communicate with reception via WhatsApp and they will sort what ever you need - amazing! Thank you to the whole team for such a brilliant stay :)

Stayed for a couple days with my husband and two children (toddler and infant). It’s a beautiful place with a large amount of space to explore and walk around. There’s a playground, several bikes to use at your disposal, donkeys, horses, and chickens which my daughter enjoyed. It is dog friendly and our dogs had a great time exploring the grounds and meeting other dogs staying at the farmhouse. That said we were very disappointed at a few things considering the price we paid (total came to 1800€ for two nights). We stayed in the Farmhouse with two bedrooms. It’s fine nothing special. However the amount of ants that infested the unit was unacceptable. The front door has a giant crack under it, so big that I think I could slide a coffee table book under it. They infested the kitchen, bins, bathrooms, my babies crib. I get it, we’re in nature. But can you at least try to put a rubber piece to fill the crack under the door? The service needs serious work. The customer service was very poor. I don’t think a single server or staff member said hello or welcome or offered help. Servers got our order wrong multiple times. In other instances they were inattentive, forgetful, unapologetic, rude and defensive. It all felt extremely cold. It certainly didn’t meet the expectations I had for a place like Craveiral. The kindest staff member we encountered was a trainee. One thing I thought was strange, considering how family friendly they seem to market themselves, was that they don’t have any food offered at some windows of the day. Most places may have snacks or bread or something as an option but they had nothing. Finally, I organized an ice bath at a set time. My husband and I plus two babies rushed to make sure we weren’t late only for them to have it ready 30 minutes past scheduled time. This wasn’t acknowledged or apologized for. An ice bath probably would have taken 30 minutes to experience. We had picked that time intentionally to make sure we were on track for the rest of the evening. This was a bit annoying. All this to say, at 900euro per night, Craveiral really needs to step it up or lower their price.

Our honeymoon at Craveiral Farm House was a dream come true! We stayed for two nights in March, finding it the perfect escape from Portugal's rainy days. The sauna was a highlight, and the farm-to-table food was delicious. Being close to the farm animals was our favorite part - we loved opening the windows to enjoy nature's sounds. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the rooms were stunning. It's a must-stay for anyone looking for a cozy retreat in nature!

We loved our stay at Craveiral! The place had such a wonderfull atmosphere, very relaxing and peacefull. The food was really good and healthy, both breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious.|Our kids loved the donkeys and the goats. We all enjoyed the refreshing pool and the bikes. I did a great yoga session. The house we stayed in was clean and well equipped. We had a lovely wooden deck, where we could watch the donkeys in the field. I'm already looking forward to coming back some day!

Craveiral is a special place. Situated in the countryside, with easy access to the coast and sea, it is like a combination of a boutique hotel with an organic farm. It is very quiet there (except for the odd donkey or goat bloating) and well organised, with free bicycles to roam around the property. Staff are friendly and helpful and lend a personal touch. The food in the restaurant is excellent, with open air barbecue and fresh produce from the gardens. There is a nice heated indoor pool and a small sauna. It is popular with families but this never bothered us during our stay (and the indoor pool is adult-only as of 1800). |Craveiral is certainly not cheap and a lot of effort has gone into design and art, maybe at the expense of some practicalities (e.g. there is little place in the room to put your clothes away) but it is definitely a charming experience.
