I struggle a bit to write about this establishment. Greenport is a very busy place during the summer season. I went here in March which is the off season. The place was empty. The booth was very small. The booth was not a standard size. In general everything we ordered was just ok. The staff was attentive.

Savory and sweet: we ate it all family style and loved every plate. In and out quickly. Enjoyed our Sunday brunch

The food was delicious! We ordered takeout and got a Juicy Lucy burger and the cannoli stuffed French Toast. My husband and I both loved the food. I took a star off because I ordered a latte with chocolate, hazelnut, and caramel (fabulous that you may create your own lattes with up to three flavors), but I didn’t end of having a bit of syrup flavor in my espresso and milk drink. I had to add coffee creamer when I got home. I also remember getting a latte here years ago, and it was delicious. I was bummed I didn’t have the same experience. But, we would definitely be back for the food! (Also agree with another reviewer that the sandwiches should come with chips or fries and not just a pickle. My husband really wanted a Reuben but went with a burger due to the added cost.)

Google
It was so ordinary. I'm not sure if it is freshly cooked, but it was the fastest scrambled eggs, ham, and potato served.

Google
Great place for breakfast. We got a mimosa, Bloody Mary, two coffees, crab cake Benedict and the avocado breakfast price for $60. Such good value and everything came out quickly and tasted wonderful!

I was looking forward to a great lunch as we drove 56 miles to Crazy Bean with my grand daughters like we have in the past, I was told by the hostess that we couldn’t bring my youngests drink into the restaurant, Okay, I asked the hostess if she could hold it for us, Her answer was no, I asked where can I put it and she shrugged her shoulders and said I don’t know. I said I’m gonna bring it to the table and we will all be ordering drinks anyway and her response was you can’t bring it to the table. The conversation got a little heated but we stayed after I put the drink in the car and had a very good lunch, (always great food). The Hostess was also our server and her mistake after having a snooty attitude was putting a tip on the bill without any beforehand notice usually written on the menu, I would’ve left more tip had she not done that. If anyone in charge reads this please remove her as hostess (don’t wait), she was a good waitress but poor hostess skills. (Hold the drinks at the hostess table, problem solved)

Classic diner style! Great latte, too! Super service, with a smile.

Yelp
My only concern was that it was FREEZING in the restaurant! It was after Labor Day so the crowds had died down but apparently the a/c is either 'on' or 'off'. It was worth the chill however bc breakfast was everything I'd hoped for, and more. Customized omelette with gluten-free toast and fruit...and boatloads of coffee. Warning: winter hours begin the day after Labor Day and the website isn't updated to reflect one hour later opening and one hour earlier closing! So plan accordingly...you don't want to miss eating here! And the servers are SO friendly, fast, and helpful!

Kristin Frances K.

Yelp
Cute little retro diner right in the middle of town. A good size menu with daily specials. Reasonable prices and fast service. Their homemade corned beef hash is incredible!

Cody L.

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast or brunch! This is a hot spot so be prepared to wait, but get there and put your name on the call back list and then go enjoy the harbor and do a little shopping. Menu is huge with all of your favorite breakfast and lunch options. The coffee and latte options are plentiful and be sure to check the specialties. We ordered a breakfast burrito (a bit small), chocolate chip pancakes (large) and the pancake quesadilla!

Nicole F.

Yelp
Walked in a little after noon on a monday and they were packed. We only had to wait about five minutes for a table though which was great. It was extremely loud in there until the restaurant cleared out, it's a pretty small space. The food however was delicious. They have a huge menu selection and it's reasonably priced. None of the sandwiches come with any sides other than a pickle though so it could start to add up.

Gigi A.

Yelp
Very fun and cute North Fork little diner. We needed breakfast on a Monday and this fit the bill. It gets very crowded and there is sometimes a wait. We waited about 30 mins and snagged seats at the counter. As you'd expect, the coffee is delicious and all served from unique, fun, adorable mugs! The breakfast itself was good. We were super hungry. They have breakfast cocktails but we had WAYYY too many the night before. The bill was reasonable, relative to where we were. The portions were great and the marble toast was the kicker!! Overall, loved! Will be back next time we're in the area.

Kimberley M.

Yelp
On a Saturday morning at 7:30 am my husband and I snagged a table at Crazy Beans. As the morning rolls in tables generally fill up quickly at this cute neighborhood breakfast spot. The menu is centered around brunch items -omelettes, sandwiches, chicken and waffles, etc. They have a robust drink list including cocktails and customizable lattes. Service was friendly and quick. Our food was out in no time and tasted fresh. I really liked my dark chocolate coconut latte and my husband enjoyed his cocktail. Our friends also visited this spot and said they really liked it too! Great spot to check out if you're in Greenport!

Barbara W.

Yelp
This is a great place to stop for delicious breakfast, brunch or lunch. Since I was a little girl, I have been traveling out to orient Point. Greenport is a favorite spot. This restaurant used to be the town soda fountain but closed down. It is now a hot spot for great food, funky art work and delicious specialty lattes. The service is wonderful and friendly! We now live in Rhode Island and stop here on our way from the ferry to visit family. Always satisfied! Check it out!

Kim C.

Yelp
Crazy Good... Absolute Perfection . Service was with a smile with decor that brought you back to simpler times. Food was off the chain fresh fast and fabulous.

Cormac D.

Yelp
Went for Sunday. Breakfast The food at this establishment was good and we ordered the crab cake Benedict rancheros corn, beef, hash and the apple cider pancakes service was above average prices were very reasonable for the area the ambience is nice and tidy and cozy overall I would recommend this establishment

Staci S.

Yelp
Small but adorable local brunch spot in town. Exactly what we were looking for! If you make the good decision of going here make sure you have the bread... either toast of some sort because wow! Trust me! Everyone in our party couldn't believe how great it was. There were 7 of us and we all had different things and everyone loved their meal. I thought the avocado toast was great, getting to pick different toppings which I chose feta cheese, tomato and scallions. Pancakes were a hit, apple chicken sausage omelet and an omelet with bean sauce too. If we ever come back to Greenport we will definitely come back here.

Sabrina P.

Yelp
Solid spot for coffee! Sat at the bar for some coffee on a Saturday morning in October and it was good. Got the caramel and chocolate latte. Service wasn't too attentive but got the job done!

Devin K.

Yelp
Restaurant floor was gross and the bathroom was one of the worst I have ever seen. Clean up your restaurant, the food was good.

Michelle C.

Yelp
The food is just okay. There was nothing really special about any of it. Service was quick and efficient This is set up like a 50s diner with decor to match with the exception of the small Romero Britto piece in the corner. If I'm in those parts again, I might try again. Although, I could be easily swayed to try other places in the area.

Leslie L.

Yelp
Picked up lunch on a holiday weekend - Burgers were delicious, cooked to order, and large. 'Crabby melt' - I enjoyed this, though some might find the combo of coleslaw and avocado on top to be too moist, this hit the spot. Will keep this in mind the next time we're in Greenport!

Ben T.

Yelp
Great local diner with amazing breakfast and coffee options! Loved the hash as well as the dirty chai latte!

Kevin H.

Yelp
Had a wonderful lunch, good food. the service was great. this is a comfortable and fun cafe.

Peters A.

Yelp
Old time diner, perfect for traditional breakfast as well as dishes like Crab Eggs Benedict. Something for everyone. Sit at the counter or pick a table. Family and adult friendly with adult beverages. Great and friendly service. Downtown Greenport.

Lindsey S.

Yelp
We have been coming to Greenport for YEARS, and never tried out the diner. It was so yummy!! I had the Turkey avocado club, with a pesto Mayo on their seedy/grainy delicious bread. So glad we tried this spot out, we will definitely be back! They close at 3pm so this is definitely your breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. Grab a bar seat at the window and people watch for extra enjoyment!

Kristina K.

Yelp
Went in this place for a waffle- The menu didn't say the waffle was soaked in cinnamon cream or did the menu state the 1/2 cup of powered sugar Now I'm all for letting the waitress know the dissatisfaction with the waffle soaked in cinnamon cream and the 1/2 cup of powered sugar added She rudely told me "It's on the menu" yes it was And I read it- still didnt say anything about powered sugar and soaked in cream I was unpleasantly surprised by her know it all attitude and her outward display of disgust- Considering the menu said Berries and cinnamon cream Oh well- The only way I can show my lack of support for a business that feels thier waitress' are now educators of how to read and comprehend what is read! Shame on you all!!!

Amy F.

Yelp
Food is always delicious! Staff are busy but attentive and nice. We love coming when we are our East. Chocolate chip pancakes are always a win! Cute little spot, yummy coffee drinks. Bring cash for your tip :)

Danielle D.

Yelp
Super cute spot for breakfast. First stopped in this morning for a coffee to go for my morning walk. Returned for breakfast. Quit a few gluten free options including pancakes on the menu. Friendly staff. Quick service. Bring cash, cash only tip, however our server let me venmo her.

Josette G.

Yelp
Every time I come out to Greenport , I always make sure that I stop at Crazy Beans! Their coffee is always hot and delicious. The food is always so tasty and the staff makes you feel like family. My favorite thing to order is the HUEVOS LOCOS BURRITO. The Crazy Bean sauce is delicious!

Sarah H.

Yelp
So good has all the foods you could ever imagine. Service is fast, no matter what you get the food is delicious

Nancie R.

Yelp
It was ok. Mainly, it was the esthetic impression that kind of spoiled things. I know it's playing up the vintage thing, but it's a reg storefront with a bunch of old timey things hanging on the walls. But what didn't sit right was the mugs were all chipped and cracked and everything was greasy and sticky. It was gross. And then, the WORST was going into the one room bathroom and the toilet was spattered and I mean spattered with ......all I can say is thank goodness I had already finished breakfast before I went in there. Horrible! The food was ok, but I can't get all those problems out of my head. The service was ok. It was if they were very busy, but they weren't.

Tracy K.

Yelp
Breakfast in Greenport - Crazy Beans is a go to sit down place reliably there for diner like reliable food and service. Nice village location with super laid back easy vibe. Easy to see why people are coming in and staying out here... Greenport is a cool old town with just enough to keep you busy and lots to explore near the wineries, and a ferry to Shelter Island / then Sag Habor.. or all another all the way to Connecticut. Trains coming in from NYC.. This happening old town is fun and cool and here is where you can get some coffee and chill out.

Meghan R.

Yelp
Cute diner like brunch spot! Very homey and awesome decor. Menu has everything you can think of and huge selection of lattes. I think we looked at the coffee menu for 10+ minutes before we decided, we felt so bad lol. HIGHLY suggest the cinnamon swirl French toast (which the waitress recommended to me and it was worth everyyyyyy calorie!)

Kathy W.

Yelp
Cute little spot in Greenport. The staff here is fantastic. super friendly, helpful and efficient. I had the avocado toast and a chai latte that was yummy. They also have a location in Stony Brook that is just as good and the staff there is also great. Will definitely be back!

Edgard E.

Yelp
the worst experience ever. I came to this place for 21 years. It's run by teenager, no sense of responsibility, no respect, no sense of customer service. When I complained to the girl who was I paying to her, I told her I am a good tipper but I am not going to leave a tip, a teenager server latino, came aggressively, told me you don't like it go somewhere else... I hope the owner will read this review. I had a brunch for mother day last week-end for the whole family.... What a shame

Adam G.

Yelp
What regulatory body oversees lobster bisques? Whichever it is, they should come to Crazy Beans and shut the place down. The bisque probably had the same amount of lobster in it as a chicken noodle soup. It could possibly have been the hottest (temperature) soup I've ever had in my life accompanied by the most stale oyster crackers on the planet. The waiter is also a liar - he said he really liked the coconut shrimp. Besides that, everything was solid. 3 star!

Melanie P.

Yelp
I will give 5 stars for a few reasons. 1. The staff was very friendly. 2. The prices are very reasonable. 3. They have the best coffee I have ever had!! I am a very fussy coffee drinker because I can only drink decaf and most places just don't have the best decaf. They altered it to the way I liked and nailed it even with the syrups (I don't like it too sweet). I have never been able to find a place that is that on with it! The only thing I would have liked is nonfat milk. They only carry whole, almond and oat milk. I can have whole milk every now and again, but just prefer nonfat.

Montesa P.

Yelp
If you want the most mediocre breakfast on Long Island this is the place for you. Ordered the most basic thing possible, scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, well done bacon, home fries and an English muffin. The eggs were murdered, like hard , dry balls covered in cheese. The bacon was greasy and you could've chipped a tooth. Home fries were obviously frozen from a bag dropped in the deep fryer-horrible. English muffin was almost straight out of the package, like barely toasted. Does it sound like I'm nitpicking? I'm not, it wasn't good. Coffee was ok and service was fine.

Bryan F.

Yelp
Great place, excellent food! Service is fast, food is amazing and serves breakfast late. Located right in the heart of downtown.

Agta B.

Yelp
Such a quirky and funky place was calling us for breakfast so wee decided to try it when we were in the aree. It's a good thing we got there early because it got crowded as we were leaving. Coffee was excellwnt. I had a latte with some cinnamon and it came with a smily face ;). The crab cakes benedict was delicious. The English muffin was delish and full of bite. The crab cake was amazing (although a little thin). The poached egg was perfectly runny. I was a little diappointes with the hollandaise - it was tasty but definitely seemed to be hardening befoRe it came to the table. The chocolate chip pancakes were great. The jelly donut pancakes were tasty but we were expecting something other thaN pancakes with some jelly (amazing raspberry jelly!) on top. Perhaps if the jelly was layered bEtween the pancakes instead of being juSt scooped on top it would Have been better. There was nothing wrong with the flavor but it was more like regular pancakes. Service was friendly and fun. We were well taken care of and enjoyed our experience.

Marissa D.

Yelp
Fun place for brunch if you're willing to wait. The buzzers work around the block, so the wait isn't too bad. Forgoing brunchier options, I got a crab cake sandwich. It had avocado on it and was pretty good, although the cole slaw kind of took away from it. If I went back, I'd ask for no cole slaw. My friends enjoyed their traditional brunch items, too.

Michele C.

Yelp
We really didn't have to wait on a Saturday, however we wanted to wait for a booth to open so they gave us a buzzer which works around town and were buzzed about 15 mins later so not bad! The decor was a funky 50s look. I started with an iced caramel latte. I ordered the eggs your way which was 2 eggs with hashbrowns and toast. I ordered over easy with american cheese and sourdough bread. The hashbrowns were a little overdone for my liking. The toast was very fresh- tasted homemade. I also ordered a side order of cookie dough pancakes which could have used a tad more cookie dough. If I come back I would definitely try something else! They had many different latte flavors which seemed interesting.

Anya D.

Yelp
Worlds best Crazy Ruben!! I would not change a single thing about it. Fabulous. It's HUGE. Highly recommend sharing

Michael H.

Yelp
Toilet Stank. it's What's for Dinner. Being "the crazy ones. The misfits..etc" doesn't mean you have to keep designing your restaurants with the bathroom in the flipping dining room. You did this at your Stony Brook location as well. No one wants a waft of fecal matter as a side to their eggs. Maybe on this one, be a follower and keep the bathroom away from direct unobstructed contact with diners. It's really not that hard and you don't need to gross out your patrons who draw short straw on seating.

Wayne D.

Yelp
My wife & i were staying at The Harbor front ,which is great ,& we walked to the crazy beans on 6/29 . Abby & Savannah were so great that when we came back from shelter island on 7/1 we went there from the ferry for another fabulous breakfast . The food & fast service from the girls was terrific. For breakfast or lunch it is the best place in Greenport. Gail & Wayne Dunbar Massapequa

Katelyn M.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. The staff ran it like a well-oiled machine and they were very respectful of each other and which I think speaks volumes. I love the coffee mug collection, such a cute idea. I had the Bikini Body Eggs with avocado, toast, and fruit. My friend had the avocado toast, and my other friend had eggs, bacon, toast, and fruit. Everything came out hot, fresh, and tasty. Get there early it gets packed quickly!

Liz T.

Yelp
This would have been a five star review if it was just the food. To be clear the food was fast and really delicious. The service was AWFUL! Yes we have small children and clearly the staff hates kids(both services made comments about our kids). They could not have been ruder if they tired. They were so difficult and just miserable all around. Then a high maintenance table of adults behind us asked for something to block the sun and they were lovely to them. If you have kids get take out or leave the kids at home.

Laura F.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast this morning accidentally ordered something that I'm allergic to and they gave me a second meal without charge. Now that is service. The food is excellent as well. Coffee is also out of this world. Thank you!

Jessica L.

Yelp
Their coffees are out of this world. Even though the food was good and it had a nice cozy dinner feel to it I would go there just so I can get a coffee and take a picture of it for instagram. It was that good,

Betsy M.

Yelp
LOVE the breakfast! A slight twist on the norm. I get one of their specialty latte's and LOVE that too! Service is great. ALWAYS a pleasant crew

Casey W.

Yelp
My wife and I were in Greenport for a wedding this weekend and were looking for a brunch spot. We settled on Crazy Bean and we are very glad we did. Fantastic local diner! Incredible food (I had the brunch burger), great service and quick. It has the ambiance of the old school NYC dinners, reasonable prices and friendly people. Highly recommend!

Brittany M.

Yelp
The family and I are here exclusively while we were at the beach! During the COVID-19 times I was impressed by the timing, quality, and menu selection of this place! The prices were good for NY prices but they literally have a great menu from food, to the coffee bar, and alcoholic drinks. It's in a fun spot in the cute little town by the water. We ordered by phone and picked up minutes later. What we got: Avacado breakfast wrap French toast with berries and bacon French toast sticks and bacon Chai lattes The Hungry Man breakfast wrap Fish & chips One of the salads Everything was good! The portion sizes, it was fresh. I would highly recommend and we will be returning next beach trip!

Ben C.

Yelp
SO GOOD!!! Try the lobster roll! It was busy when we arrived but we were seated very quickly. Service was excellent. The food was scrumptious!! Everything we ordered was delicious. Great atmosphere. I will definitely come again next time I'm in Greenport.

Ben L.

Yelp
Life lessons number 103, if a place is only opened for breakfast, the restaurant is usually awesome, this place was awesome!!!! It was a great find since I was staying at the Harborfront Inn down the block, it was less than a 5 min walk. This place is super funky, it's child friendly and the prices are pretty reasonable, this place seems like it would be perfect on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. In the Winter time, the restaurant does get really drafty so be mindful when someone opens the door. The food: Avocado Fries- The avocado fries were really interesting and I liked the outside crust and I really liked that it wasn't oily. The avocados were slightly plain by themselves but the chipotle mayo that comes with it was awesome, it added so much flavor. I did wish the avocados were a tad more ripe, but I think if they were anymore soft, they would have had issues in the fry. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=1kUaR2JotVvynElJygHrSw&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA Huevos Locos Burrito- 3 eggs over easy, bacon & cheddar cheese in a flour tortilla with crazy beans sauce. This was one of the recommendations from our waiter and holy mommy was this good. This is going to be surprising for me to say since over easy eggs are pretty straightforward but the over easy eggs here were spectacular! These were easily the best over easy eggs I ever had, the whites were nice with a soft firmness but the yolks were so perfectly runny and creamy. These over easy eggs were magic! The bacon in the dish was good, but I do prefer my bacon to be crunchy, these were kinda on the chewy side. The home fries were solid. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=YzJrzcKSz2COUQFu5hE6Dw&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA Cali Burrito- Carne Asada, avocado, black beans, french fries, cheddar, sour cream & chipotle in a tortilla. This was a special of the day and it was really good as well. The burrito had good flavor, the Carne Asada was surprisingly more tender than I was expecting. The beans, however, were a tad mushy but added a good flavor. To finish off, the burrito is pressed which made a pretty big difference since it added a little bit of a exterior crust for some nice contrast in texture to the inside of the burrito. The one thing I didn't like was there was a big gap of just unmelted cheddar cheese, I remember taking a bit of just cold cheese and it was weird. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=1LMTgH5t8ROqwueVqxSsFw&userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA

Yelp
A weekday breakfast at 9 AM and the place was almost deserted. Service was fine and the food was good but the prices are definitely not for the locals, i.e. for the tourists. But in this charming little town this seemed to be one's only choice. Don't let the name fool you: this is not a place for vegans as the beanie offerings are almost nonexistent. The chef did accommodate my vegan wife's needs but the choices were few at least on the breakfast menu

Ashley G.

Yelp
Cute retro spot with a fun menu! Crazy coffee flavors and super delectable fattening breakfast choices.
