Really good bands play live music and outside of that quality blues and rock music. Drinks are at Clarke Quay prices of course but they have an unassuming vibe they’re proud of. Great place to enjoy music on a weekend.

One of the few original bars that still exist in Clark Quay. Great venue for live bands and good happy hour prices on drinks. Watched Rule of Lah and they were awesome. The Sunday session is a lot of fun

Prices are a bit above than some bars in the area, but the drinks are better and well made. The mood is nice, more western people, and they have live music every night.

This is such a great pub to go for a few drinks and to watch the live music. They have a weekly schedule of who is playing, so you don't miss out on your favourites. I especially enjoyed the fact that the entire pub is a space to leave behind your mark. You can use typex or a black marker and just write what you want on any surface!!! I love that a place allows it's patrons to feel part of the institution, which is celebrating it's 25th Birthday this year.

Yelp
I had a bit of a bad run at Clarke Quay when I decided to go and explore some of the pubs around here, but fortunately I found this one as I continued my journey. In fact I was expecting to simply hit bad pub after bad pub, but this certainly wasn't one of them. In fact it was really cool. The staff were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was awesome. The have live music, and great interior and a really cool ambience. Sure, the drinks aren't cheap, but then again cheap drinks and Singapore are three words that don't seem to go together. They also have an outdoor area on the riverside, that make the place a great place to sit down and enjoy a beer on a cool night. Oh, it only opens at night.

Yelp
If you enjoy good music and a killer live band, Crazy Elephant is the place to go. They've got great blues music and the band has been playing there for many years already. I'd call them seasoned entertainers. It's a great place to meet up with friends and just chill, enjoy the music, order a few drinks and have a good time. On the other hand, if you want a quiet night out and some heart to heart talk and stuff, this probably isn't for you. The service there is good as well. The waiters and waitresses are pretty on the ball and they're quite quick with taking orders and serving them.

Yelp
Beware the recycled beers. Been to Crazy Elephant 6+ times over a few years, and mostly sat outside with friends and a tower of SMP. One time, I got frustrated with the slow bar staff so I went to the bar. Ordered a San Mig pint and watched them pull a jug of beer out of the fridge and pour 1/3 of the pint and the top-up with the fresh stuff. No idea why I accepted it and paid the $15 or so for the pint. Next time I went there, figuring I give them the benefit of the doubt, I stayed at the bar and watched them do it again for my pint. Ghastly. I've worked in bars and F&B before, I know you are allowed to do this. But you shouldn't. We are paying a small fortune for a beer, and it should be fresh - every time. Go next door to the Bungy, they won't do this, and if you do go to Crazy Elephant - watch them at the bar, and leave if they give you the dregs.

Yelp
I've been to crazy elephant quite a number of times now, and each time I'm there, I never fail to have a good time. It is one of my favourite places to catch up with friends over drinks as it has a nice welcoming atmosphere that isn't too quiet nor rowdy. I feel pretty at home each time I'm there, and no one makes you feel awkward for being a little too loud or boisterous. The live music entertainment is pretty solid and I find myself sitting dreamily by the river with a drink and enjoying the music on some nights. The drinks are not exactly cheap but its pretty much the standard pricing around the area.

Yelp
Avoid this bar, unless you want to be ripped off - Evening totally spoiled when I was overcharged. Now I'm waiting for my credit card refund, further aggregating the situation.

Yelp
You don't come here for the food, you come for the atmosphere and the music. For anyone who loves live covers of rock music. Decently priced drinks and friendly staff. In a great location right on the water front.

Yelp
Situated along the river of Clarke Quay, Crazy Elephant is one of the better bars in the area, I would say. My friends like to meet up there because of the convenient location and the live music, and the service is alright too. There is also a hilariously good view of the reverse bungee and it is quite entertaining to watch people take on the challenge, or take it on yourself if you have nothing to do. The drinks and cocktails available are pretty standard, but we mostly order beer. For a late night meetup with old friends, the ambience is most important to me and Crazy Elephant has just the right atmosphere. I don't feel bad for being a little rowdy, or just being quiet and enjoying the music. It is worth considering if you're looking for a place to hang out in Clarke Quay.

Yelp
Since I'm in Singapore for 3 weeks, and my hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Clarke Quay, I tend to just go for a walk around CQ at night before heading back to the hotel. There are tons of places with live music in CQ, but they are all filled with bands covering crappy top 40 pop songs. I guess that's why night in and night out I find myself stopping by the crazy elephant, because they play the good stuff. Blues and classic rock every night, perfectly divey atmosphere, it reminds me of the places I used to hang out in Toronto, and I love it.

Yelp
I've often old my friends that Crazy E is one of those places where you can be in the middle of clarke quay on a Friday night and still feel at home sitting at the bar/by the river all by yourself. It's just that sort of place that pulls you in and makes you feel welcome, and you're also very likely to meet other cool people who are there for the beer and music. Live entertainment every night, you can get a good mix of local rock and blues bands. One of my favourite things besides the amazing music is that the waitresses are really nice. Most of them have been there for a long time and are on a first name basis with regular customers. They remember your drink, what you do, when the last time you came was and any major event in your life; they're the perfect bar friend you n/ever had. What's also entertaining is the TV screens with a constant stream of raunchy jokes. Drinks aren't cheap, but for clarke quay they aren't expensive either. And for what you're paying, you get a whole lot more too. If you're hungry, you can order food from The Coffee Connoisseur, who they have an agreement with. If not, beer are bar snacks are the way to go. Watch people go by, enjoy the music and make an adventure of your own. Never a dull moment at Crazy E :)

Yelp
If you are looking for hard rock/Blue music performance nearby Clarke Quay, here is the place. Nice music and atmosphere. The cocktail is just okay. Also they got a pool table here in case you just get bored.

Yelp
If you're into rock and roll blues, this bar is for you. I came here on the last stop of a Santacon bar crawl, and I must say it was probably the only bar where I had a genuinely good time. The atmosphere was really fun and lively, and it really stood out with its wooden theme, and warm feel. They have your standard bar food, and the best part was the rockin' live band. I would recommend coming here on a jam night. The G-Max Reverse Bungy (reverse slingshot ride) is down the block, when you're feeling spontaneous and want to drop 45SGD to be shot up in the air for a few seconds. Not a bad way to end the night.

Yelp
Severely overrated. Warm beer. Clueless, dimwitted staff. This place was run by two guys - one was a musician who was OK but very reserved and passive. The de facto owner was an opinionated, arrogant ass who dissed the musicians and complained about everything. He thought he was Singapore's answer to Bill Graham. But he never understood it's all about he music. The only decent feature of CZ is the music - some good but very desperate musicians will show up there -- but if you know how poorly the musicians are treated by the management, you wouldn't patronize this place. I am not surprised to hear that many gteat Singapore bands like Heritage quit playing there. Admittedly, I played there for several years, not for the cash but because I genuinely love rhythm and blues and have jammed with many of the musicians who hang out at CZ. I worked at an office near Clarke Quay and was often called up in the evening to fill in for musicians who had bailed out. I was summoned at the last minute to run the Sunday jams and always obliged. Was happy to spend what little they paid me on a few rounds of beers. But the owner finally exhausted my patience. Even though that owner finally quit, I have not been back in more than 10 years. The vibes are bad. Danny Loong and the crowd at Timbre are much more genuine, they know and play the music and treat their patrons and musicians with more respect. CZ .. C U later, much later.

Yelp
This bar on Clarke Quay is a great place to hang out. The atmosphere is relaxed, and we especially enjoyed sitting on the terrace by the water. Prices are comparable to other bars in the area.
