Take a Jurassic Road Trip To These 13 Dinosaur Parks

"Opening its door in May of 2007, the Creation Museum is a 70,000-square-foot institution dedicated to presenting an account of the origins of the universe according to the very literal, creationist perspective of the Book of Genesis. Whether you’re interested in walking through the pages of “God’s Word” (equipped with life-size dinosaurs) or enjoying a family-friendly picnic in the recreated Garden of Eden, there’s plenty of activities for you to explore your inner-Creationist, as long as the information presented being at odds with science doesn’t disturb you.  The museum boasts 160 exhibits documenting Earth’s history, asserting that all life forms were created 6,000 years ago over a six-day period. Take a minute to explore the re-creation of Noah’s Ark work-site (again, with dinosaurs!) or watch some fantastic “Theater Presentations” such as Men in White, Six Days of Creation or a classic, Dinosaurs, and Dragons. According to the founder, Ken Ham: “One of the main reasons we moved there [Petersburg, Kentucky] was because we are within one hour’s flight of 69 percent of America’s population.” Which means that 69 percent of the U.S. is just a short trip away from experiencing what a very specific, faith-based approach to human history looks like." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

An amazing time and time just flew. Everything here is top notch to ensure you have the best experience possible. The talks were amazing and kept you on your seat. The 4D movie production were well done and the kids will love the dragon. Any gardener will be thrilled with the plants of Israel and the arrangement were stunning. The walking paths will have you stopping every couple of feet to just stare. If you are the adventurous one try out the zip line. Thanks for the great time and the signed book.

Google
A really worthwhile lesson in biblical history. I throughly enjoyed it all. We were there about four hours inside the museum and less than an hour outside in the garden area. We did not visit the petting zoo or the zip line. Definitely buy your tickets and parking pass online to avoid lines. Security will check your bags after you go through the metal detector so leave your guns, knives, and what nots in your car. The museum is mostly reading with some recreations. I saw a lot of kids there, but I’m not sure they get a lot out of it. The museum is kinda off the beaten path and if it wasn’t for an occasional sign you might think you had made a wrong turn. Traffic wasn’t bad coming out, but going towards Cincinnati at 5 the traffic was thick and slow (25mph) so you might want to time your visit to avoid rush hour. We came as a side trip from the Ark. There is a food court at the end of the tour and they are building more dining options now ((June 2025). Walking around the gardens you will see some beautiful plants and flowers and you should leave time for that.

Google
Family really enjoyed our visit. My kids liked the animals and the 4D films. You can tell there had been a lot of time and money invested here so people can learn more about creation and enjoy their time here doing it. It is very educational with lots of reading so my kids (8 & 6) hurried us through but they enjoyed the exhibits. They also loved the playground with the small zip line. The staff was also very nice and helpful.

Google
We bought the combo pass to go to Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. We bought the tickets in advance as well as the parking pass. The staff was very nice and helpful. There is a lot of walking to get to the building from the parking lot but the plants and scenery is BEAUTIFUL! So much to read and learn. We planned for the whole morning to be there. Once you finish with the museum, you can walk through their zoo and pet some animals. You can also walk through their tropical jungle with amazing tropical plants as well as their greenhouses.

Google
Very professionally done, great customer experience culture among every employee interacted with. Good value for price. Also enjoyed the animal petting zoo. A lot of activities for children, including interactive exhibits and outside playground. Food was good quality for good price (especially Uncle Leroy's double chocolate fudge!). Beautifully landscaped to whet your appetite for viewing/experiencing God's creation. Make sure you arrive early. $15 charge for parking. Tickets and parking can be purchased online to skip the lines!

Google
We bought tickets online and came early. We had no wait. Lots of fun. Beautiful grounds. Well kept. Lunch was 16 dollars each, full buffet. Great food. Families mostly with kids as you would expect. Great atmosphere and very fascinating 👏

If you’ve never been here, make plans to take yourself, your children and your friends, you’ll be in for a real treat! It’s worth the time and money. High quality experience! So many different activities and things to do and see. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time. Lots of plaques to read and exhibits to see inside the main building and the Planetarium. Outside you can ride the Zip lines, see the Butterfly House, stroll through the Plants of the Bible Conservatory, take the little ones to the petting zoo, and the lovely playground area, there’s a big pavilion you can sit under and rest or cool off while the children feed the fish and turtles in the pond, there’s gift shops to explore, bridges to walk across, and lots of nature to enjoy. Good food to enjoy. Plenty of seating! There’s also plenty of parking, Even for Rv’s and buses. If you buy tickets in advance the process of getting in, is usually really quick because you can skip the long waiting lines :) Prepare to Believe!!!

The Creation Museum is a place that deeply touches the heart. The exhibits are meaningful and inspiring, and the atmosphere is uplifting and peaceful. The staff is kind, sincere, and full of light. We watched several 4D films — and it was truly impressive! Total immersion, powerful emotions, and messages that stayed with us. You can feel the presence of strong, inspired leadership — a management team that doesn’t just run the museum but truly serves people. Every detail is thoughtfully designed — from the exhibits to the beautiful, peaceful garden full of unique plants. Most of all, we were moved by the clear message about Jesus and the hope of eternal life. We dream of returning again and wholeheartedly recommend this blessed place to everyone!

Yelp
Only 45 minutes from the Ark Encounter and totally worth it. Beautiful picture opportunities and a plethora of information. Great detail went into designing every last bit of this place. It will take you about half a day to get through everything unless you are a really slow reader lol! Check out the planetarium.

Yelp
Absolutely love the Creation Museum! The grounds are beautiful and the displays are beautiful and well done. There is lots of reading to do, and interactive displays too. The Christmas Town live narratives were very well done. The actors were very good! The scenery was beautiful! The zoo was nice. Were looking forward to coming back when it is completely done. The food was not the greatest. The hamburger was dry and the bun tasted stale, the fries were cold and wimpy. The Chicken Salad sandwich was good. You're not allowed to bring your own food or drinks on except for a sealed bottled water. The Christmas lights were beautiful. The conservatory was really nice too. It was nice to see the plants the Bible talks about as well as plants from all over. My family and I do recommend this place. It is good for all ages. It truly brings the Bible alive!

Yelp
We visited the creation museum on a Sunday. It was very busy but it was a Holiday weekend as well. If I ever go back again it would be during the fall and not on a holiday & especially when kids are in school and definitely not on a weekend. Plan on wearing your most comfy shoes. Bring some absorbine jr too for those sore and achy feet, calves and back cause it's tons of walking. We really enjoyed the place but it was overwhelming at the walking and reading and all the people running everywhere. We bought the book of all the signs in the place as it was hard to read everything. It would've took the whole day to read and see every little thing. We watched several videos in the 4D theater which I highly recommend and plan your visit around those. There are a couple of coffee spots, snacks, drinks areas and plenty of bathrooms. The walk thru to the museum was beautiful and well kept. We visited the Plants of the Bible greenhouse and zoo was cute! They had alpacas, donkeys anteater, tortoise, a couple of pigs, goats, and a very small kangaroo type animal, vulture and I think that's all that I remember. Lots of places to buy souvenirs throughout too. I gave it 4 stars because it was a great place to visit and read and get an idea about How God created the world and see it come to life so to speak. It also compares Gods creation with the scientific idea of Evolution. And that was all great but it really bottle necked up and it was hard to read everything with people everywhere. But it can be kind of tourist trappy so to speak with all the books, gifts, etc. We did buy a couple of books with All the signs because we missed several due to people congestion. But overall I'm glad we went and experienced it and as I've read in other reviews if you can only pick one attraction to go to, either the creation museum or the Ark I would choose the Ark.

Tim E.

Yelp
Way over priced. Some of the staff were pleasant enough, others, not so much. Food is bland. Museum is a circular argument fun house. The book is true because the book says it is. I prefer spending time watching paint dry than to walk through there. I will say the botanical gardens are lovely but that's not enough to save this place.

Yelp
This place has been on my bucket list for years and it was as good as I'd expected. The displays showed how a biblical creation worldview is different from a naturalistic evolutionary worldview. The grounds are absolutely stunning, so you'll want to allow time to wander those. The zoo was closed the day we were there. Forewarning, there is quite a bit of walking and most displays include quite a bit of reading. I'm not sure our children would've enjoyed it as much as we did, but we aren't in that stage of life. Perhaps there was more for them to do than we noticed. We got to hear Ken Hamm speak which was very interesting. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Calista R.

Yelp
If I had to sum up the experience in one word, it was would be "strange." I would stick with just the Ark experience if I were you, the museum pretty much covers exactly everything else the Ark experience did so it's not really worth the extra money or time. Not very great for kids since there's a lot of reading that will literally take you hours to get through and the "sin section" of the museum literally made a kid cry and cover her eyes and ears. Do with that what you will but I'd just stick the Ark experience overall. The only part I would go back for is the botanical garden which was absolutely breathtaking.

Yelp
Great place. I wish that there was more directions to what / where to go. This place is awesome if you want to learn about the basics of the bible. It has alot of information, just so much to read that it was easy to get lost.

Yelp
We went to the Creation Museum last week. The museum is an excellent way to see natural history in a fresh way from a Creation Science perspective. The museum and all facilities are very clean and well laid out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall an excellent day! A couple of tips! First, if you like to read the placards in museums you should plan a full day here. I like to read everything, and we were there most of a day. Second, you can pack lunch and go out to your car to eat! This is very helpful if you have dietary restrictions like we do. Alternatively, you can email them and request ask about options. The executive chef was very helpful! Highly recommended!

Yelp
We didn't enjoy the creation part of the museum today but we did get to check out their Cafe walk the trails and do ziplining it was a lot of fun and the staff was really friendly

Yelp
The Creation Museum is filled with biblical information and references, with lots of visual aids and displays. If you're planning a visit, I recommend you plan to take a day, and plan to take your time. Crowds make it more difficult to read the many written plaques, so patience is a virtue you may need. They do have cafes, but I don't recommend them at all. The premade salad was tiny and expensive. Lots of items are pre-packaged for purchase. They have pizza, but I have a gluten intolerance, so I couldn't give you any info on that, except to say that iced tea is not available at the pizza shop; you have to go upstairs for that. For me, I'm glad that I did the visit, but it will probably be a one-time-only visit.

Yelp
I tell EVERYONE about the Creation museum as well as the ARK! It amazes me how many people have not enjoyed the Christmas lights or the beautiful grounds. I do miss the Zonkey, Zorse and Camel that now reside at the Ark! Petting zoo is still great as well as the PLAYGROUND! Moms and Dads this is the place! Love love love! I do wish they would continue free parking for surrounding counties! What a bummer :( also the live nativity is inside and "scheduled" I've been coming for so many years and this just put a damper on things ... I was told one time and didn't make it. I do wish the prices were more affordable for local families.
google avatar

Yelp
We went the day after the Ark. Not as much walking but still ALOT of walking. The botanical gardens were do peaceful , just beautiful. Lots of exhibits to stand, read and then proceed do I again recommend that you get there early. Go thru the museum then go for the shows. Lots of them are included in price but I would also recommend going to the ones and are not. There was enough time once I was finish with this, I would have gone back to Ark. But our group was heading home. So....I recommend the bouncer pass, so that you could go back to Ark if you had time. This also is great for those who believe and fir those who do not! Yet

Sierra C.

Yelp
Amazing experience! Great for all ages, but if you have busy little ones, don't expect to get to read many of the signs. Buy the book of signs before you leave!

Patrick H.

Yelp
Wow, just wow! Clean as a whistle and all of the exhibits were effective and well maintained. I was especially impressed with the level detail and attention to high tech audio/video, robotic characters, and really first-class presentation that is incorporated from the beginning to the end. They make no excuses for their love of God and for their presentation of the Gospel message of Salvation through Christ. I highly recommend!
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
I don't think I am the audience for this, but I'm not sure who is. There is a significant focus on dinosaurs, and comparing evolution and Christianity. They make black and white arguments, which I'm not sure will drive anyone to 'change their mind'. At any rate, it is a bit of a maze, and there are speakers and brief films along with the exhibits. Many of the exhibits are impressive in their presentation, but do require a lot of reading vs. more interactive tools. We went to a couple of the 4D movies; one was ok, the other was a bit odd as they added impacts (like someone kicking your seat), and puffs of air that didn't really align with the presentation. The zoo was closed the day we were there, and the gardens were just starting to bloom and were very pretty and pleasant.

Yelp
Here we go!! Large parking lot. Gate to check in. Paid parking and admission. So much to see and do!!! Planetarium. Snake show. Corrie Tenboom hollacost story which was incredibly touching!! Such a privilege to hear the story. The gardens left me in awe as did all the exhibits. There is so much to see, touch, read etc. I can't express enough what an incredible live action place this is. I have seen and experienced much. I loved the full length information and the skulls were so dang cool to see. I WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN AGAIN AND AGAIN. I got so many pressed pennies and learned so many things. I love how detailed things were. It was so so very crowded today but security seemed on the A game and did a great job controlling the crowd and the crazies.
google avatar

Juls B.

Yelp
This place!! Wow! Amazing job and kudos to the design team and everyone who put this together. Very well thought out and every detail really makes a difference. Affordable way to bring your family for an incredible experience. Every question you have about how and why you are here is answered. John 3:16 comes to life! We ate at Noah's Cafe- decent food and good prices. Also had iced lattes which were way better than Starbucks. Took a break. The gardens were beautiful and fun to go outside and walk around. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Vibe: finally exploring where I invested 25 years ago; while visiting nearby Cincinnati A rental car was needed for the approx. 30 minute ride to The Creation Museum from Cincinnati. The Ark Experience is another 20 mins away. You'd be wise to give yourself several days at Creation and a different day for The Ark. Uber/Lyft were too expensive. It was a full-circle moment as I visited this museum that I supported from its inception. I was however disappointed that it's become so commercialized that everything seemed to have a price tag. Including parking. But once I got inside and saw the enormity of the place, I quickly forgot about it. The museum is filled with historical facts, research, questions and answers, videos, about how the Earth was created by God thousands of years ago vs The Big Bang Theory of millions of years. It explains in great detail about dinosaurs and how they fit into history and became extinct. There's neat animatronics, beautiful grounds, even 4 -D movie experiences to keep you engaged in information overload. This is a perfect place for young and old to visit. Just be prepared. It's lots of standing and reading and walking. So give yourself ample time (days) to enjoy at a leisurely pace. A walker with seat works well for those of advanced age or bad knees. A stroller for small ones is a necessity, just recognize their attention span will fade quickly with all the reading. Wear comfy shoes and bring a water bottle for refilling. This is a definite must for Christians and even those curious about our Earth and it's beginnings. Don't miss out on it!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing in every way! Beautifully put together of Biblical earth's history. A faith builder and a faith solidifier in the one true God.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a wonderful experience for the whole family. It was the book of Genesis in the bible came to live. About the beginning of creation of this world, the creation of Adam and Eve and the story of Noah's ark. It also explained about the view of worldly science, dinosaurs, and evolution VS the bible fact on how the bible historian and science bible trump the worldly fact about dinosaurs, evolution, and the races. Its amazing how the bible expert did their research and debunk the worldly science big bang. I love how interactive this creation museum and they have carousel rides for free, playground, and botanical garden that included with your tickets. They have little zoo for the kids and some movie about creation that the whole family can enjoy. For the stars fan, the have small planetarium for extra fee. Overall, this place is a must place to visit.
google avatar

Tara M.

Yelp
My family's visit to the Creation Museum was every bit of amazing. There is so much educational material and so many displays that you will need to make a day of your visit in order to not miss out on any of it. From the moment you enter the outdoor area on the walk to the indoor museum everything around you is breathtakingly beautiful. There are several gift shops with great souvenirs. There is a zip line outside of museum. There are also two restaurants with a variety of delicious food as well as a sweet shop. There are stroller and wheel chair rentals available. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with answering questions and helping guests find their way around.
google avatar

Tony M.

Yelp
A must stop for all and definitely for kids We need places like this everywhere, teaching the word of God with insight and clear defined fact based data makes all think about truth in the Bible not the normal rhetoric we here these days Location is well set up and very easy to enjoy on all levels
google avatar

Tracie R.

Yelp
Wonderful place to bring the Bible to life. If budget is of concern, I'd say skip this and just go to the Ark. my husband and I did both the Ark and creation museum in one day. It was a very full day, but it is doable if you're time constrained.
google avatar

Alesha W.

Yelp
What an amazing and informative museum! I went on a trip with my mother's Church and we spent about 2 hours here! Everything was set up well and you were given two perspectives of creation: scientific or spiritual and the museum talked on both points fairly. This is a great museum for new Christians and old Christians alike.
google avatar

Bella C.

Yelp
Thmuseum said it would make me believe, but it did not. It was quite pushy on the whole biblical version thing. A lot of exhibits also claimed things to be as they do not seem, and used that they seem this way- even though they do not seem that way. Would be nicer if it was more accepting of budding or confused Christians, instead of using non-credible citations of random people- without any qualifications. The site also really juiced the dragon thing, but there was not a dragon exhibit- just another store. The part that made me feel the most welcome was the garden and mini setups in the ark area. I originally visited the museum to collect some elongated coins as an agnostic leaning christian. I think this museum successfully made me an atheist.

Amber H.

Yelp
Went to the museum before we went to the Ark. If you have Biblical knowledge it's not a "must see" but it is definitely worth the visit. Great exhibits & very informative. Outside is beautifully landscaped.

Yelp
April 9, 2024 -There are signs directing how to get there starting at the Freeway! The parking lot is huge. All the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to assist. There is so much information presented that I am thankful they have a book with every display pictured. I will probably be deleting 200+ pictures off of my cell phone. There is a really nice walkway around the water display and they soon will be having a zoo area as well. The entire place, buildings, restaurants, bathrooms, outside areas are all unbelievably clean!!!

Susan B.

Yelp
Went in Feb. Snow on the ground. Outdoor activities not open. The building was very clean. Lots of helpful and polite employees. The food at the upper level restaurant was good. Enjoyed some of the exhibits.....so much reading. It's a lot to take in. The music and recorded narration was a bit loud and I got a headache. I could imagine the grounds being beautiful in the warmer weather.
google avatar

MJ P.

Yelp
This is a MUST SEE for All Families! The staff is friendly, caring and genuinely helpful at every turn. This is a museum filled with a wealth of Solid truth filled exhibits and helps you see this earth, the history and science from the Christian Worldview. Finally a museum telling us the truth!
google avatar

Ben P.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this. It had so many really good exhibits and was super easy to navigate. Everything was top of the line both inside and out. The gardens were gorgeous and the actual museum was just really amazing. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
Vosited Dec 27, 2023 Anyone with any type of bag, duffle etc the employees checked it. They are a firearm free area. I guess concealing a weapon on your person isn't as popular as putting it into a bag. I could have easily walked in with it under my jacket or on my leg. Maybe they weren't looking for firearms but food contraband. I can certainly see why they don't want you bringing any in, might be a reason. The prices on food and drink were equivalent to a sports stadium. Bottled water was $3.59, a small personal pizza I think was $9.xx. We purchased the 3 day pass at $109 each and the $30 3 day parking pass. With tax for 2 adults I think it was $259. All of the employees were helpful when engaged. There is a very hard push around every corner about buying books, dvds, shirts, food etc. A huge part of the museum on each floor is dedicated to merchandise sales, their AIG info, and answers.tv. With the smaller than normal crowd it was still fairly hard to go through the museum. Almost all, likely 80%, of the walk through exhibits you need to read the signs to further define what it's about. Small print, small signs, bad lighting, tight hallways, and TV monitors that couldn't have been larger than 28-32" in size. You are literally shoulder to shoulder with each other trying to read and see the info for each item. You definitely feel rushed due to the crowd trying to access the same above info that is hard to access. My wife whose vision is worse ended up only reading about 40% of what we walked through because you just couldn't reach the display word info unless you wanted to wait 2-4 minutes to see each one. There is apparently a book in their book store which has all the signs in the exhibit in it. Buy it before you walk through. A two pack for $31.98 if you are also intending to visit the Ark Encounter. A single book if you aren't visiting Ark Encounter. The Ark Encounter chaos is even worse in regard to signage and being crowded in exhibit areas. You do receive a map of the whole Creation Museum site, as well as that specific days events. I would say about 40%+ in the museum is truly very basic information almost anyone who has been a Christian for a year or so has certainly already read and should know. I found many displays repeat information of earlier displays. I do quite a bit of research and for myself, didn't learn much that I had not already known from previous learning over the years. I can only speak for myself about this aspect of info presented. Maybe the vast majority of Christians just don't learn the info in the museum and it's performing a great service to mankind. There are many many 5 star reviews, so obviously it is fulfilling a service need. The display animals, individuals, were very well put together. One thing I did notice was anytime they showed displays of something with Eve in it, her face was not fully displayed or quite hidden (her hair covering her face, hand thrown up in front of her face, her lookingo away with something blocking her face... Not so for Adam whose face was usually displayed fully. I am really not sure why they were trying to shame the displays of Eve, but I did not feel it was appropriate. I am not sure if there was an agenda behind that or not. The 4D movies also were very basic information of Bible events. I was really hoping for some real meat. One thing I didn't like was after the first movie, the next one on a different subject started about 10 minutes later. Instead of letting you stay in your seat and watch the next one, you are asked to leave, and go get in line behind all the other people in line. Kind of tacky. They should ask if you plan on staying for one or both, and then adjust the line to service those who are going to be lining up later. All in all if you you have a pretty good grasp on the Bible, science, evolution you will probably not really gain much insight that you didn't already know. The fossil displays, the time line displays of rulers, day to day life in Jewish Roman Greek culture was the best of the displays for me personally. I guess if you are someone looking to contrast evolutionary views vs biblical views it might help you gain insight on each perspective. It simply boils down to this at the museum, and it's overall theme. God created a perfect world, sin destroyed that. With the introduction of sin, death entered the world, man's depravity continues to create the miserable world we live in. Someday Jesus will return, and all of His original plan will be restored and evil abolished forever for those who are His children. Bible basics 101. For those who desire visual reinforcement of Bible basics, the Creation Museum is going to be a top notch experience in information and displays. For those who have more of an independent leaning toward personal research and Bible knowledge, save your money. You likely already know 7/8 of what is in the museum.

Yelp
Staff was all super kind!! Place was clean, museum was cool. :) Zoo was closed due to renovation, but they still had a snake out that was being held which was super cool! Very interesting exhibits- I learned a lot. :) One kid near us kept crying, but that was just because she wanted to go back to another one of the exhibits. Very friendly ducks.

Yelp
The only research we did before visiting was confirming their days & times open (please do this as it changes for the seasons). Wish we did more before visiting. I am 7 months pregnant & thought walking around a museum in the winter months would be a perfect past time. Had no idea a lot of focus is outside in the gardens & zoo, which we missed out on. Also please note that there is a walk outside from the ticketing center to the museum which is a little scary being pregnant during icy weather. I had a mini heart attack when they told us our ticket prices + paying for parking. A plus is that kids 10 & under a free, but given that the vast majority of museum is all reading, I'm not sure how much kids would truly enjoy it. The 4-D theatre is free but beware that there is tons of bright lights flashing & the seats kick you in the backs. The information is great! Very thorough & informative! My brain did reach capacity halfway through though as there is not much else to do in the museum except reading. One of the cafes was closed which would've been nice to know ahead of time but it was an easy walk upstairs to get to the other one. I felt like there was a weird overemphasis placed on dragons & dinosaurs. I think it's great that it was acknowledged that they are both mentioned in the Bible & there is proof they existed, but in the grand scheme of the design of creation, there was a surprising amount of emphasis placed on those two things. I am so glad the creation museum exists, we need more biblically based experiences. While it wasn't my favorite thing (maybe we just visited at the wrong time of year), I know it has impacted many other people!

Yelp
The creation museum is legit the worst place ever. The food is raw and expensive the Mac n cheese was bad . This museum an absolute joke. It smells like vomit and oatmeal mixed together. The exhibits made no sense and had no actual artifacts . They legit had a replica dinosaur skeleton what is this !!!Would never recommend and I would stay far away from here.

Yelp
This experience was top notch. The museum was extremely clean, the staff were so friendly and the amenities were plentiful. They offer so much information to read, a 4D theater, a garden, Cafe with plenty of options and plenty of seating. If you have young children, I would recommend this as a summer trip as several of the activities for children were outside such as ziplines and playground equipment. There are indoor activities for children on the lower level but I still feel like they are geared more towards the age of 9 and above. If you want to purchase so.e keepsakes they have several gift shops. A great pro-life exhibit! Would recommend this museum to everyone!

Yelp
We had at absolute blast at the creation museum! We definitely underestimated how long it would take to go through. We spent about 3 hours here, and we skimmed a section. There was a lot of reading, but halfway through found out there was a website to go along with the tour. Andrew has wanted to go for years and I'm glad we were able to for his birthday! I wish we got to see the Ark too, but we couldn't squeeze it in. We purchased our tickets beforehand, but nobody questioned us upon entry.

Yelp
Too many people. Not enough room to move around. Not really something I have enjoyed. The Ark experience yesterday was a lot better. Save your money and do the Ark.

Yelp
Amazing place to learn so much about just how amazing God is and how much he loves us. There is a bunch of reading as you walk through, so I just took pictures as I went through so I could read everything later. There is a very nice park at the entrance to get the wiggles out of the little ones because there isn't a bunch of stuff for really young ones. But, there is still some for them so bring them. They will just want to go through everything faster than you.

Yelp
We came here from Pittsburgh to visit the museum and tomorrow we will go to the ark. It was a Christmas present and my in laws came as well as they gifted us the present. I had no idea what to expect. Everything was amazing, professional and top notch. Impressed! There was plenty of space and I never felt rushed ... except by my kids. The only reason I gave a 4 star and not a 5 star is the cost. It's very expensive as we got the pass for the ark as well. I'd think with it costing that much they'd do a free gift or at least a $10 towards anything in the gift shop. It just seemed like once you got inside there were still so many things that still cost more. We had a great time and definitely learned a few things as well. Hope to return sometime with only adults so there's more time to read. Definitely recommend for families or adults ... anyone really!

Yelp
Amazing place to learn abt the history of the creation of earth and everything in between. At Christmas time they have the whole outside adorned with lights and it is absolutely beautiful! Nice stroll in the gardens to see the lights with a cup of hot cocoa is a perfect way to spend a chilly winter evening!

Yelp
As a preface to this review let me say that the Creation Museum is a faith based Christian endeavor to promote the gospel through the book of Genesis and other exhibits as well as live animals and beautiful botanic gardens. Your admission entitles you to live show presentations on topics such as snakes, water and how things came to be. It also includes seeing short movies in their 4D theater among which was my favorite-"Six Days" which gives you a close up of Creation. Available for an extra charge is their planetarium and zip lines. They have specIal exhibits here such as "fearfully and wonderfully made" which deals with the question of when did life actually begin? There is also an exhibit on natural selection along with a fairly new exhibit called "Borderlines-Israel in the time of Jesus." The permanent exhibition is lengthy but having been forewarned not to read everything my husband and I skimmed though it as best we could noting the highlights we thought worthwhile. I liked the fact that they had somewhat auto animatronic characters which either told a story or answered questions on a computer board given your choice. The garden of Eden drew my breath away, along with the construction of Noah's ark. The permanent exhibition covers two floors so you may not even realize you've descended to the first floor until late in it. Also on hand are dinosaurs with both fossils and replicas. Let's not forget about dragons! There are dragon legends all over one area near the lobby with Chinese dragons hanging overhead. Their main bookstore is called the "Dragon bookstore" but they also have a fair trade store and a smaller bookstore downstairs. Please take the time to check out the botanical gardens. Not only is their great foliage and picnic areas but unique bridges such as the "floating" bridge. There are great photo opportunities here as well include one by the pergola. Scattered throughout the gardens are topiaries or animal cutouts designed to be lit up at night or possibly Christmas. Time did not permit us to get to the live animal exhibit but they give a daily presentation there as well. There is also a children's playground in that area. There is so much to see and do and they do build in some rest areas when you are doing extensive walking. Among the eateries here are Noah's cafe, snacks including cookies and ice cream and different kinds of fudge. People here are very warm, friendly, and helpful. If you plan on seeing the Ark Encounter then make it a point to visit here as well. Combination tickets to both attractions are available with discounts given at certain times of the year. Pay parking is $15.00 but it is an easy walk from the lot. Located in Petersburg, KY not far from Cincinnati airport.

Yelp
Perks of traveling with me,... you might end up somewhere that includes *Dinosaurs *ZipLines *Fudge *Naked Folks *Goats *Nature Trails allllll in ONE place. This was def a fun, unexpected museum we got dual tickets to after we left the ARK experience. Fun 4D movie, playground for kids, petting zoo, museum, and zip lines.

Yelp
We loved this museum. Remember it is a museum so if you are bringing very young children you may have trouble keeping their attention. There is a lot of reading and an incredible amount of information. Along the way there are signs that you read. I was taking photos to read later. It is handicapped accessible but we had about 8 in one area that snagged movement. We rerouted around another room and was able to go back and was ahead of them..This us really a Christians reality museum. We appreciate all of this laid out with an incredible amount of what I would called background facts.. many questions are answered when we all have asked why or how did this take place..it's very good. We already want to go back.

Yelp
Though many people prefer the Ark, I enjoyed the Creation museum better. I'd recommend both if you've never been. There is a beautiful garden here and I definitely recommend to leave some time to walk through the garden. The main exhibition follows the 7-C structure, creation, corruption, catastrophe, confusion, Christ, cross, consummation. It has lots of reading. I really enjoyed the videos in the Legacy Hall, which is at the end of the main exhibition. My favorite video of that day was Fearfully and Wonderfully Made, which focused on the first days of the embryo development. it's a bit nerdy and lecture like, though it's so fascinating. I felt so touched by the miracles after miracles during the development process of a baby. There is a 4-D show included in the admission, In Six Days. It's a popular show and make sure to join in the line, if people start to line up. The shows in the Planetarium needs extra tickets, I watched the Created Cosmos. Get the ticket early, otherwise the time you want may be sold out. The hours various from season to season, make sure the check their website. They always close on the Sunday morning. I'd suggest to spend a full day here, and check the time for each activity you want to participate. Some planning may involved if you want to make the most of it.

Yelp
Please pay attention to my notes on Covid guidelines here. Came here on a Saturday in March. I think it is the first Saturday they are open. We bought tickets a year ago and were unable to come because of the pandemic. They would not refund our money and this was the last day we could use them before losing our money. So we drove to Kentucky to see this museum and the ark. It was not terribly busy, which is a good thing because no one enforced social distancing. There were signs that masks were required, Unless you have a medical reason to not wear one.. But there were plenty of people without masks, including employees or people wearing them under their chins. I do not know the regulations in Kentucky at this point in time. It may be ok, I just don't know. Maybe the mask signs are just a suggestion. So the museum itself was not bad. It was laid out strangely to me. When you come in, generally the first thing people do is go to the 4D movie. It was about wait for it... Creation! It was well done with the exception of random flashing lights. Once or twice would've been OK but the lights kept flashing and it gave me a headache. There are also puffs of air that come out from the sides of the theater. my friend that was cool, I thought it was unnecessary. Especially in times of Covid I just don't think we need to be blowing air around. There were some excellent displays regarding the Bible and biblical history. To me, this was the best part of the museum. There were some cheesy displays with robotic people and animals but they may have been aimed toward children. There were a lot of dinosaur displays. If you like dinosaurs this will be right up your alley. The insect display was well done. Very large group of beetles. I had read there was a zoo/petting farm but that was not open. The zip line was open but we did not do that. The gardens were open but given that it is March there was not much to see there. We ate lunch in Noah's café. It is a cafeteria style place to dine. There were a fair number of choices. My friend had a hamburger. I had chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese. They were surprisingly good. With two drinks the total came to $22. Not cheap, but all things considered I've been charged more for less. So I would probably give the museum four, but the lack of social distancing and masks made me knock it down to a three. And the cheesy robotic displays detracted for me as well.
