I was staying at the Credo Hotel Usuki once a month for a few years (work-related), and I've seen it undergo some renovations during that time. As of now, it's really a sharp looking, yet fairly typical Japanese style business hotel. Right off the bat, you'll notice it's in an excellent location, as it's only a 2-minute walk, at most, from the station to the hotel. The front desk staff speak some basic English, if you happen to be void of any Japanese language ability. There's a nice waiting room with various local products from Usuki for purchase. The rooms are nice, with a clean, modern look. I found the abundance of power outlets extremely convenient. Especially the one right next to the bed on a small shelf. The TV is a bit small, as is the leg space area for the desk, but aside from that, it's quite comfortable. Again, keep in mind that this is a business-style hotel, so don't bring the wife and kids if you're wanting them to be comfortable. Also, bring your own toiletries. The hotel does provide the basic shampoo/conditioner/body wash triple-threat, but they don't provide any body sponges or other smaller, convenient items (toothbrush/paste, etc.) All in all, a very solid, comfortable stay, each and every time I went.
