Creebridge House Hotel

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Good room with bottled water,breakfast was excellent and restaurant food was excellent too. Very near Town which had various shops and Sainsbury’s and Aldi’s tucked away. |Also some may think this is strange.. the softest toilet paper ever. |Plenty of walks and the river Cree.

OK the downside..|Bed linen - not brilliant but clean everyday - need to upgrade to a higher quality cotton.||Pillows, the second worst I have ever experienced, very uncomfortable, again need to upgrade and get some decent feather pillows.||Rooms, plenty of space but in need of some TLC - it is clear that this hotel suffered badly during the covid situation, but they are quite clearly investing money in upgrading rooms and the hotel facilities. (well done there).||These are minor irritations, for me I am a big fusspot when it comes to bed linen and decent pillows!!||The Upside..||Brilliant staff, nothing but nothing is a problem, I travel all over the world and stayed in some wonderous hotels, but very few have staff which such a willingness and such a positive attitude as this hotel, they do themselves and the hotel proud.||The breakfast - cooked to order cooked fresh, local produce, in my top five of breakfasts in the WORLD!!! they have just about anything and everything you want from a Scottish Breakfast - well done team Creebridge.|| The Bar - small cosy, roaring fire - very nice relaxed service - a proper bar - not the usual hotel bar - Bar food - simple, fresh, wholesome, good sized portions, again well done.||Restaurant, reasonably good selection - not too fussy, again fresh food, good portions, reasonable prices.||Lounge areas of the hotel, very relaxing, very homely, comfortable, welcoming again the staff make all the difference.||We stayed for the New Year Gala dinner, best deal in Scotland for New Years, (For that matter the whole of the UK) - a wonderful evening meal, very good quality food, good entertainment, staff were brilliant and the home made shortbread.... to die for, and I am not that keen on short bread, but at Creebridge, in a league of their own.||Good location, great staff, would I stay again???||In a heartbeat

Visited Newton Stewart for summer holidays with the bairns many times roughly 20 years ago The family treat was a meal at The Hotel. Was lovely to see Kenny again and lovely tall kind Graeme who spends most of his time dodging beams. Staff, food , service, just a lovely welcome place to come back too

Stayed here for a wedding, super location, dog friendly rooms available. Super rooms, comfortable bed, hot shower, free parking available. Excellent build your own breakfast including haggis too. I'd recommend visiting here. Thank you 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍

Didn't stay in the accommodation, however people we were with were staying and said it was fantastic. We have however used the dining room in the evening on numerous occasions and it has always been excellent. This was a flying visit and 8 of us (plus a dog)had a bar lunch, service was fantastic, atmosphere great and the food brilliant as usual.

This is a nice place, but the decor is very tired and dated. Our twin beds were very low, which would not be great for older folks and they were not the most comfortable.||Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful, although a couple of bar staff served locals first who had clearly arrived after me… and the bar was not crowded so no excuse there.||The breakfast and dinner were both decent meals and the bar, once served, keeps a couple very nice real ales from a local brewery.||The local area is lovely. Great for mountain biking.

Went for a meal. Service was excellent and food was absolutely lovely. We went on a Saturday night and it was extremely busy. Didn't have to wait too long between courses .Huge garden with childrens play area and outside pizza oven and bar. Had a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were welcomed warmly and very well looked after by all the staff. The generous breakfasts and tasty well-cooked dinners were very welcome. The outside bar, on the 2 warm evenings we stayed, was much enjoyed. However, upstairs the furnishings were quite worn and some carpets were threadbare. Our window had to be kept open with a wooden block as the sash was broken as was the catch on the wardrobe door. Further, the final bill did not take account of the deposit paid to secure the room and it took several telephone calls over 3 days to secure a refund when we arrived home. Hence, our rating is reduced.

The Creebridge House Hotel, is located in the Minnigaff area of Newton Stewart. It is a small hotel offer just 8 bedrooms however it is very popular for a meal and even to stay. I understand that there has been an extensive refurb so the decoration has been given a necessary refresh which only adds to the appeal of the place. We had our wedding reception here and without a shadow of a doubt would recommend to anyone for a reception. We were treated very well and have to say that my guests still talk about the food a number of years later, it felt like the meals had been individually prepared. We visit every so often for a bar meal too and have not been disappointed. It is not the cheapest place but when you get good quality food you can't complain.

We drop in regularily for family meals and have our annual Christmas 'works outing' here. Always a relaxed atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble. Good wine list and the food is always up to standard.

My husband and I am came here for a anniversary meal and had a lovely evening. The service was outstanding yet still relaxed and the food was delicious. We shall definately be coming back.
