My husband and I LOVED our stay at Creekhaven Inn. It's about an hour outside of Austin and is definitely a hidden gem within Wimberley.
They have board games, books, kayaks, and bicycles you can use for FREE during your stay!
My husband and I also had a couple's massage. The massage was great, but they seemed to rush and wanted us to leave there ASAP. We WERE late to our appointment, but it was at 10 am, we were just getting done with breakfast and setting it out for them to grab so we didn't return to a stinky room. As we left the room at 10:08, we were told that we still had paperwork to complete. We missed one form from the email, and instead of giving us an hour's notice, they told us on our way to the therapists. We didn't start our massage until 10:16; unfortunately, I had to pee! I felt it my entire massage (no fun, by the way), but I ended up apologizing and asking to get up around 10:50 because I couldn't stand it any longer. I QUICKLY went to the restroom, got back, and they finished our massages at 11:05... with no appointments immediately following ours. We paid for an hour and got less than 45 minutes of an actual massage. We still tipped 20%, but it just seemed lazy. Much of my massage was spent with the guy looking around for lotions, towels, etc. It was disappointing. Not enough to not go back, but definitely one of my least favorite experiences at a spa.
The ladies at the front were kind and sociable, making my birthday special. I forget the name of my favorite-it may have been Amy! Overall, it was a great experience. I think they should revisit the spa and their priorities with it a bit. It felt rushed and a little lazy. I totally understand us being late was annoying, but with no appointments before or after, it seemed silly to rush us that way.
