Creekside Villa (Canmore, Alberta) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Canmore, Alberta is one of Canada’s great adventure towns, set in the Rockies at the edge of Banff National Park. And Creekside Villa is the sort of hotel you wish every mountain town had: a 12-suite lodge that combines rustic charm and modernist-inspired boutique-hotel design. Loft suites sleep up to four with a pull-out sofa, while the Cougar Creek Suite sleeps two. Devil’s Table, the restaurant, was brought along by the hotel’s owners from their previous home on the island of Bequia, in St. Vincent and Grenadines, and serves a suitably unexpected Caribbean menu." - Tablet Hotels

The rooms where nice. The thing that needs improvement in the rooms is for the loft the fan needs to be able to be on without the lights because its way to warm up there to sleep or an air conditioner/venting should be added to make it more comfortable to sleep. This is due to the extreme temperature difference between the two floors. We had the a/c on during our entire stay on the coldest setting and it never cooled off in the loft area however the main floor area was COLD. The activity are was great for relaxing and enjoying the view.

I wish I could post this review twice to give Creekside Villa ten stars! Discovering this little gem was one of the greatest experiences we’ve ever had. We originally booked a one-night stay as a simple stopover on our way through the Rockies, just looking for somewhere to rest. What we found completely was way more than that. Every corner of this place oozes charm, with some of the most tastefully quirky furnishings we’ve ever seen. The attention to detail and character in the decor made it feel like a true home away from home. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Communication was friendly and efficient. We were greeted with warm hospitality. The on-site café was a delightful surprise, serving up some of the best coffee and bites we had on our trip. Complimentary cookies and a nostalgic lolly station were an amazing touch. We’ll most certainly plan a return trip to Canada just to stay here again. This exceptional place was the cherry on top of the beautiful town of Canmore.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The price was affordable to us and it was completely worth what we paid. The staff are amazing and very knowledgeable. The place had about 10 rooms, each is a little different, and there is a family suite, which I think has 3 bedrooms. They have a great shared space that you can use and hang out in as well as a space in the basement that they use for wellness sessions, and would be a great place to do yoga/Pilates in (they even had mats). Our room was wonderful, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. I would recommend the Creekside Villa to anyone interested in staying in a private and beautiful boutique hotel with spectacular views. I will look to stay here again if we ever go back to Canmore area.

My wife and I really enjoyed our short stay in this quiet little getaway. The skylight above the bed on the upper loft was SO. nice! We fell asleep watching the clouds turn into stars. Highly recommend to everyone!

It was ok. Common areas are lovely. Our room was average. Dark, poorly arranged and somewhat dismal. Bathtub wouldn’t drain when showering so filled with water. Sink drainage was also poor. Air conditioner was too noisy to use while sleeping. Glasses were very very dirty with greasy fingerprints. Bed had to be completely stripped and remade when we were tired and ready for sleep as the mattress protector was completely bunched and lumpy across the whole bed. Quite surprised by the condition of everything. Poorly painted as well with bare areas & chipping. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

I was really impressed with my stay! I was only there for a night, but the room was beautiful & comfortable and the bed was fantastic. The location was great and easy to get to. I was a little unsure before I got there, but I ended up really likening the self check-in/code options instead of having to wait at a front desk. Definitely will be staying again in the future and am looking forward to hopefully being there longer.

Creekside Villa was lovely. From the homemade cookies to the common areas to the mountain views, everything has been carefully considered and it shows. I felt very welcome and the owners went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible.

Love this gem on the outskirts of town. Close enough for convenience but far enough to feel like it’s a special corner tucked away just for a few. The room is clean and the place has a rustic retro charm. Homemade chocolate chips cookies are a nice homey touch. Perfect Canmore base camp!

Yelp
Very pleasant stay. Rooms are large, well decorated and stocked with premium shampoos and lotions. Bedding is crisp and luxurious. Breakfast included is substantial and served by helpful host. The suggestions of off the beaten trail activities was superb.

Yelp
Had an AMAZING stay at Creekside Villa! We were welcomed with fresh coffee in the lobby and warm smiles. Inviting seating areas and a stone fireplace made us feel very cozy. The decor and ambiance is very "modern mountain lodge" all recently updated. Our room had a loft bedroom and two "pull-out" chair beds similar to a pull out couch, but for a single sleeper. Our room also had a mini fridge and a coffee maker, but we chose to head downstairs to enjoy our coffee by the fireplace. Every meal was incredible, and I'll definitely be giving Devil's Table a 5 star review as well. I can definitely see why weddings are held here, it's really quite beautiful, and the food is fantastic!

Yelp
What an adorable inn. Quaint & inviting, you're sure to feel right at home from the moment you enter it's doors. We were greeted by the very sweet & personable Rosie, who welcomed us into the dining room and offered us hot cocoa with marshmallows, fresh baked cookies & brownies. The room was gorgeous, sunlight streaming through large windows; fire crackling in the large hearth. Each morning, breakfast is served in the dining room & is absolutely delicious! They change up the menu daily, & there is always something for everyone's tastes. The cozy guest rooms have comfortable beds, extra blankets, a small fridge & electric fireplace. There is also a large flat screen television, should you tire of the gorgeous views from your windows. If I could make one small suggestion, it would be to add additional pillows to the beds for added comfort. Other than that, they stay was excellent! Rosie gave us great suggestions for hikes and restaurants, which enhanced our Canmore experience. We would recommend Creekside Country Inn to anyone looking for more of a personable getaway, with a bed & breakfast feel.

Yelp
We stayed for 3 nights during our visit to Banff National Park, and we were very pleased. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We were able to get a table at the restaurant on Father's Day, despite the restaurant being very booked up. The food was excellent! We had the Elk Burger, Shark Bait and the Roti, and we enjoyed everything. They have some specialty mojitos that we enjoyed as well. The outdoor seating offers a fantastic view of Three Sisters Mountain. The fresh-cooked breakfast was also greatly appreciated. It was so much better than the complimentary breakfast offered in most hotels. Fresh baked cookies are put out each day. We stayed in one of the loft suites. The suite was perfect for our family, having a queen bed in the loft and a fold-out couch bed downstairs. We had a nice view of mountains out the window. The only problem we had is that top set of windows allowed a lot of light in, and with the late sunsets and early sunrises, it was hard to get a lot of sleep. If you're staying in the Banff National Park area, I highly recommend the Creekside Villa. It's only a 20 minute drive to Banff, and the town of Canmore is not as busy or congested as Banff. It's a much quieter and more relaxed setting.

Yelp
We had a very pleasant experience with Creekside Villa. Definitely gives a homely bed and breakfast feel. The interiors are gorgeous and the guest rooms are perfect for 2. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast in the mornings are sumptuous and feels like made at home. In all, loved the stay. Will definitely recommend friends.

Yelp
"Stay here if you want to pay for expensive furniture" - This was by far our most expensive accommodation in Canada -CA $400+ for one night. Of course, our expectations were high. Initially, we were impressed by the brand new fixtures, rustic lodge feel in the lobby - however, the feeling withered away pretty quickly. The reception operator (also the owner) charged us $25 extra for another person (we were party of 3), but at these rates and with a low occupancy (there were 3-4 other rooms occupied out of 12 they have), I would have expected a courtesy. We got to the room - No private bedroom with doors, just a bed on an open loft, only 1 bathroom and our third party had to sleep on the couch. No closets, no hooks, a huge window without any curtains that shed light directly on the loft bed in the morning. We were still hopeful for a good experience and looked outside the window for a view only to find a parking lot with a huge garbage can. This hotel is a classic example of fashion over function. They have splurged handsomely on expensive fixtures, furs and leather chairs - but you are paying for all of that every night. Our last hope was the breakfast next morning, we had high hopes as people had written reviews of farm to table etc. Once again, we were hugely disappointed, to find a motel level, grocery store bought breakfast which had toast, butter, boiled (unpeeled) eggs, watermelon and pineapple. When I asked for custom eggs, I was redirected to the so called "buffet". I regret not rejecting the room the moment I saw it and should have left. We are disappointed, would never come back. I recommend to book Rocky Mountain ski lodge instead - you will get all the function for less than half the price.

Yelp
A clean, comfortable place to stay in Canmore that is away from the noisy highway and railroad tracks. We stayed in one of the King Bed loft suites. Walked out the front doors right onto hiking and biking trails. Next time we will bring our climbing gear. A great find all-around! We highly recommend this quaint Boutique Hotel. My fiancé thins that this would be a great place for our Canmore wedding - we'll see....

Yelp
An excellent place to stay. They were willing to light a fire for us whenever we wanted. The service was great and everyone there was willing to help us with whatever we needed. The rooms were comfortable as well
