The South of France Has a New Luxury Hotel — With Panoramic Views of the Mediterranean Sea and Southern Alps

"One of the nine vineyards of the Bellet appellation, this estate produces local wines used by the hotel (including a specially blended house white of rolle and chardonnay) and serves as the focus of a signature vineyard tour offered to guests seeking a deeper taste of Nice’s little-known wine region." - Chrissie McClatchie Chrissie McClatchie Chrissie McClatchie writes about travel, wine, and yachting from her home on the Côte d’Azur, where she has lived for nearly two decades. Beautiful castle with great views. We had the tour of the vineyard and wine tasting of 6 wines. The wines were good but nothing out of the ordinary. It was still nice to go around the facilities and sit down for the tasting. The staff were very friendly and eager to answer all of our questions. Tour was fully in English to accommodate the crowd. I do wish we got more information about the terroir itself, the grapes, etc. We just got the very basics which is okay but I personally could have used more details particular to the region and chateau. As said, the tour guide was very eager to answer questions so that helped. We didn't see the inside of the castle but I wish we did!

Wonderful views and the Castle is beautiful!! It was Interesting to hear about all the Coco Chanel history. Most of her furniture from her personal Ritz Paris flat is here. The wine was decent, however for $35/pp more than a sip could have been given to properly appreciate it.

Amazing tour and tasting! Really enjoyed the tour and the wine was pretty good too! Enjoyed the house tour which was so special with its ties to Chanel. Recommended to come!

The castle and grounds are beautiful. Our tour guide, Chloe, is very knowledgeable. Her pleasant manner helped our entire group to enjoy the tour. The wines were very tasty. All six wines that we tried were very good. The winery sits on a mountain top. The views are stunning.

Absolutely stunning! Booked to visit here on my birthday (and as soon as we'd just gotten engaged), and it was amazing. We did the Château Cremat tour & wine tasting for 6 wines, and it did not disappoint. The tour inside was beautiful around the guest house, and then down into the wine cellar and production area, and ended with the wine tasting with a charcuterie board too. The staff were lovely, spoke great English and were so friendly! The wines themselves were amazing, well explained and available to purchase after the tour too in their shop which also had other items for sale. Would definitely recommend to anybody contemplating visiting, and to leave with at least 1 bottle because its so easy to Buy them all! Would return again in a heartbeat, thank you once again for your time 💕

Really fun experience at Chateau de Cremat. We did the picnic basket lunch on the grounds along with a glass of wine. Just an fyi when reserving this offering, you want to order 1 picnic basket only per person. It was a little confusing initially on the website. Other than that the meal was lovely and we had a nice spot in the shade.

Nice visit with Florent that was a great tour guide and brought the energy at the end of the day. As this winery is close to Nice there are a lot of tours going in so you get a mixed crowd, wierdly with people that don´t even like wine, so this was a bit offputting on the experience and comments throughout the visit. Wines are average, only incredible one was the white chateau cremat that was amazing. Staff was incredible and the place is beautiful. If you are going for the wines or technical visit I wouldn´t recommend cremat visit.

What a wonderful place. The château was stunning and the views. We enjoyed a wander around the art gallery.. The tour was really informative and interesting. To top it off, the wine was delicious along with snacks to go with it. Its not too far of a drive from Nice. Lovely experience.
