The South of France Has a New Luxury Hotel — With Panoramic Views of the Mediterranean Sea and Southern Alps

"One of the nine vineyards of the Bellet appellation, this estate produces local wines used by the hotel (including a specially blended house white of rolle and chardonnay) and serves as the focus of a signature vineyard tour offered to guests seeking a deeper taste of Nice’s little-known wine region." - Chrissie McClatchie Chrissie McClatchie Chrissie McClatchie writes about travel, wine, and yachting from her home on the Côte d’Azur, where she has lived for nearly two decades. Beautiful castle with great views. We had the tour of the vineyard and wine tasting of 6 wines. The wines were good but nothing out of the ordinary. It was still nice to go around the facilities and sit down for the tasting. The staff were very friendly and eager to answer all of our questions. Tour was fully in English to accommodate the crowd. I do wish we got more information about the terroir itself, the grapes, etc. We just got the very basics which is okay but I personally could have used more details particular to the region and chateau. As said, the tour guide was very eager to answer questions so that helped. We didn't see the inside of the castle but I wish we did!

Chateau de Cremat is triple good : 1) the closest vineyard to Nice. 2) also serves as a reception venue for both private and public events 3) a fine example of local architectural heritage. Just a 7 min drive from Allianz Riviera. Convenient parking. Very friendly and professional staff.

Wonderful views and the Castle is beautiful!! It was Interesting to hear about all the Coco Chanel history. Most of her furniture from her personal Ritz Paris flat is here. The wine was decent, however for $35/pp more than a sip could have been given to properly appreciate it.

Beautiful castle built in 1906 and one of the oldest vineyards in France serving rosé, white, and red wines. It is possible to get there by public transportation (tram and bus), but the bus only runs once an hour.

Perched on the hills above Nice, Château de Crémat is a hidden jewel where history, elegance, and fine wine come together. Surrounded by rolling vineyards and breathtaking views of the Côte d’Azur, the castle exudes timeless charm. Its Belle Époque architecture and graceful details create a fairytale setting, while the wines reflect the passion and heritage of the region. A visit here is a journey into both beauty and taste.

Best place close to Nice to have a wine tasting experience in great garden, surrounded by vineyard. Castle visit with cave is must to have here for sure.

Amazing castle built in 1906 and recently furnished with Le Ritz auctions. Lieu sublime, ses soirées Brasero Caliente. Top!
