Absolutely beautiful experience! The food looked delicious and tasted like heaven, a wide variety of teas (and coffees of course) and amazing enthusiastic staff. Would highly recommend!

Things I Tried by Hessa

Tried my first brunch in Belgium, and honestly, it wasn’t quite what I hoped for. The Turkish eggs were lacking in flavor, and the toasted bread… let’s just say it left me confused 😅 The halloumi was okay, but nothing memorable. Not a spot I’d personally recommend, but still excited to explore more of Brussels food! 💛🥐

Terrible brunch. I ordered a combo plate and some ingredients (smashed tomato for example) were missing. I had to ask for them and show a photo of the menu to proof that they were supposed to be included. The poached eggs are actually boiled eggs. If you want extra bread, you must pay 2.75€, per slide! They also charge you for the tap water, served in a dirty open bottle. The service is kind but slow. I would not recommend this place. You can find better alternatives in the area.

Went here for breakfast on our last day in belgium and the food and coffee were so good, the savoury pancake stack is delicious. Staff speak good english too which is great if you cant speak good french. Atmosphere is nice, highly reccommend

Came here for brunch and I do not recommend it. I had the Crème's Eggs Benedict and for 18.5€ you expect everything to be perfect and delicious. Before even tasting it you could see that the holandaise sauce is broken. Then there was absolutely no salt on the eggs at all, luckily since I got the extra bacon which was salty the combination was ok. The actual croissant is nice. You order and pay through the QR code, so there is pretty much 0 interaction with the staff. I don't mind the system too much but I did want to ask if it was possible to substitute the avocado for bacon but since there was no one around I just decided to write in the comment of my order for no avocado, which was completely ignored. The homemade iced tea was also nothing special and was quite bland.

Sunday, I have ordered 2x scrambled eggs. First, arrived after 49minutes, I have finished them and second arrived 7minutes after, which is totally unacceptable, my friends got their food after around 35 minutes! 4 people - everybody was eating alone 😂👌🏼 The service has no idea what food is going where, which table and they don’t speak English. Really messy, disorganised. On the other hand food was great! Enjoy waiting :)

I ate indoors and it was a nice experience altogether. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is very friendly. However, indoors there is a limited amount of space, and the layout of the tables can make it feel a bit cramped. Also, the tables are sticky. The one fault with service is that the food took a bit long to arrive. Otherwise, the variety of food is great as well as it's quality! I would come here again for a quiet day.

Yelp
Super cute cozy place. The service was slow, we waited a bit too long for the waitress and the food. I started with a cappuccino it was pretty decent, wish it was a bit less foamy. I also got the toast with eggs which comes with bacon. The toast was burnt, but the eggs were perfectly cooked. My husband had the chicken roll, this was the better option. In my opinion, it was overpriced for what it was.

Yelp
Mixed review here. If it were up to me, solely based on the avocado on toast alone, I would give this 1 star. It was so disappointing. Not only did it not have any flavor, it was the absolute thinnest layer of an avocado spread that they could possibly muster. I was really looking forward to a hearty avocado toast but this was not good at all. Thank god I added scrambled eggs because that was all I ended up eating. Even my partner tried it and agreed. He haas the Croissant Signature however and did enjoy it and the place is cute, which is the only reason it's getting 3 stars. Maybe opt for the pancakes? They looked good and when we saw them come out to another table, we immediately regretted our order.

Yelp
My husband and I ate breakfast here three times while we were in Brussels this week. There are several great options on the menu, both sweet and savory. The coffee options are robust and they make a good flat white and cappuccino. Prices are reasonable and the staff is quite friendly. I recommend getting the beetroot hummus and poached eggs on toast with halloumi cheese. Some menu options may not be available because they rely on seasonal ingredients. They also serve lunch but not dinner. I also recommend getting there close to opening time, 9:00 am during the week and 9:30 am on weekends. There are less than 10 tables and they fill up quickly.

Yelp
After a long evening of wine drinking, the wife and I decided to brunch it up. There are quite a few brunch places in Brussels, and I haven't been soooo impressed with them as of yet. We decided to give Crème a shot because I had heard they had good coffee, and, well, compared to some of the other places we had wanted to go, it was actually possible to get a table at Crème in short notice. We ultilized the SkeepIt app, which allows you to claim a table online without have to show up at the restaurant first. We hopped on the bus, joined the queue on SkeepIt, and when we arrived, boom, table in a full house. It's a cozy little place, people packed in. Unfortunately there's a line that forms from people inquiring about tables from the street to the small bar/counter. There's also a loud sliding door people, despite the sign, often forget to slide closed. The wife got the Spicy Salmon Avocado Toast with an Early Gray tea, and I got the Beet and Halloumi toast with a flat white. We also ordered a Scone with jam, not pictured. The coffee was nice, that was for sure. The wife also said the tea was of good quality. I enjoyed my toast as well. The sourdough bread was great, and the eggs had been perfectly poached. The toasts were very nice--no complaints. The scone, however, had been worked a bit much and was pretty dense. I do not recommend them. All in all, if you oooki8for brunch, haven't made a reservation, and want to eat somewhere with some good typical brunch fare, well then Crème is a solid choice.

Yelp
Terrible experience with friends visiting from overseas. Inexperienced staff and a manager who doesn't care if customers wait for nearly an hour to be served. Will not go again nor recommend to friends and visitors to Brussels. So many better places to go in Brussels. I wouldn't waste my time with Crème.

Yelp
Crème de la crème. First of all?! The location! What's not to love at Sablon? It's this small place in Brussels that feels like a time-stop inside the noise and eclectic ordeal that we call the biggest small city of Europe (no one calls it that, but I do ) I've probably already talked about Sablon in one of my reviews: well, it's that good of a place. Some might say expensive and posh, but I say classy and expectational! But I digress, you're here for Crème! Is it worth it? Say.. If you love pancakes that much, if you're the type to still have "un casse-croûte " (elaborated snack for the non-french speakers), if you don't get that hungry but don't mind paying the price of a meal... then you will love it! Cakes, cookies, pancakes and copious types of lunches and brunches. The Instagram preppy-casual girls: this one's for you! It's nice and it's well located, I like it and I might even recommend it, but still... I miss something... that thing that makes you go: wow, this place is IT for me! That heart, that soul and depth! Maybe it's me? Maybe I expect too much, maybe I find it too small? After all, my reviews are as biased as are my experiences and preferences. But overall, don't hesitate to give it a try; this is the type of place you can trust and sometimes... that's more than enough.

Yelp
After visiting Australia, I am obsessed with their delish breakfasts! So when I saw an Australian breakfast restaurant in Brussels, it was a must visit. We had to wait awhile for a table, but the food was worth the wait. We had delicious pancakes covered in fresh fruit and a really good toast with meat and eggs and a tasty sauce.... The decor is super cute. All in all this is a great place to stop for breakfast!

Yelp
This spot is clearly a popular one with the locals. I spotted it because of the line of people waiting to be seated and po ut my name down. It is a cute cafe and breakfast spot. I ordered the savory stack wanting both sweet and savory, pancakes, bacon, and eggs. The bacon here is different for those coming from the US, its thicker, but still quite good. If you are in the area and looking for coffee or breakfast, this is a good bet, but prepare to wait 15 minutes or so to be seated.
