Creo-Ru Takoyaki & Okonomiyaki Dotonbori

Stumbled upon this place while taking a stroll. wanted seats while eating Takoyaki so this place fits the bill. Food is not bad, did not have expectations and this place had food that was better than expected. its afternoon and they had a cover... each person had to order a drink on top of all the food that we ordered.

My wife and I visited this restaurant for dinner. Good menu with many varieties to choose from. Ordering the food was easy. We had a yakisoba and an okonomiyaki. We liked the food and my wife really liked the yakisoba. She’d want to visit the restaurant again just for the yakisoba. The restaurant is in the basement so you may feel stuffy if many customers are there.

The takoyaki we had was the salted lemon. Texture and taste was sooo good. Okonomiyaki was also just as good. One minus is that they insist each person get an alcoholic beverage.

It was our first Okonami experience. Food was tasty, although the extras we asked for on top were sparse, however they were there. My whiskey and ginger highball was very sweet compared to previous versions I have had. Teppanyaki style restaurant, however the food is cooked elsewhere and delivered to your table to stay warm on the hot plate in front of you whilst you eat it.

we entered the shop, the staffs didn’t mention properly that everyone was required to ordered for one drink, even the menu didn’t mentioned. the okonomiyaki took 40 minutes to cook. a young female who served our okonomiyaki while noticed our table only one drink, she’s dont even said: sorry for long waited. she just directly spoke in japanese: cannot order one drink, everyone must order a drink, or not the food cant be served. and her tone was really RUDE, no smile as well. i felt like getting “scammed” and forced to pay 3000yen for this meal. are we customers should get this kind of service while we already waited for 40-50 minutes just for a dish? well, i do not recommend any tourists to have a meal here. tbh here have a lot of empty tables while downstairs you need to queue but serve in teppanyaki style. takoyaki stall outside is recommended, but not the restaurant. service and food, both still need to be improved. one thing, grape juice taste really worst. it was bitter sour taste. the orange juice taste so cheap. and also the male stuff really rush like want you to eat and go. we haven’t done our meal but he came to our table and almost collect the plate. what’s the logic? we don’t even enjoy our meal for 10 minutes but the plate was ready to be collect. even saize** stuffs got ask permission before collect, but this shop is really rude. definitely bad service towards tourists. One of the restaurants that serves okonomiyaki, or Japanese pancakes, as well as other Japanese specialties such as takoyaki and negiyaki. The restaurant has a lively and crowded atmosphere, filled with both locals and tourists. The taste of okonomiyaki is similar to takoyaki due to the sauce being made from roughly the same ingredients, yet it suits both dishes perfectly. The okonomiyaki at this restaurant is filled with various fresh vegetables and placed on a pan that is part of the table to keep it hot.

Decent takoyaki spot with seating downstairs. Takoyaki is pretty thin on the octopus with 1 or 2 small chunks. Karaage was the best item with lots of flavor.

Food quality we tried was excellent. Service we found good and atmosphere informal. We took one japanese pancake with bacon, really delicious and octopus balls very tasty. Price cheap.
